Best Western Premier - The Tides

The staff are very friendly and the facility is kept very clean.

The last time we stayed we had a coffee maker in our room. This time it has been removed and you can now pay for coffee at the lobby. Thats a bit inconvenient. I know coffee prices has risen like everything else, however at least put the maker in the rooms, people can buy there own coffee and would gladly.

Easy access to the beach. All the staff were very friendly. Clean rooms and the beds were super comfortable!

Parking is very tight, and was a bit confusing upon arrival. Long wait lines at the front desk. The only thing I didn’t like about this hotel was that there are not coffee makers in the rooms. You have to go down and order coffee in the lobby.

Every time I’m in Orange Beach this is my go to place to stay. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are very clean. Breakfast is a 10/10

Disappointed with the Basic Housekeeping I knew before booking that this hotel had no coffee pot in the room, slow elevators, and construction next door. I was aware of all of that and honestly didn't care. What I expected was something basic: daily room cleaning. My room was not serviced, even though I did not put out a Do Not Disturb sign or decline housekeeping. I notified the front desk at 4:00 PM about the room not being cleaned. I came back at 5:45 PM, and the room was still not cleaned. I can accept no coffee pot, slow elevators, and construction because I knew about them in advance. But daily housekeeping is a basic service I expect from a hotel. This was the most disappointing part of my stay at Best Western Premier The Tides.

The beach wasn't clear water. The rooms started on 4th floor so not really beachfront. You had to pay for parking and breakfast. We were already paying $400 a night

I love the property, the views, the room! This was our second time here and we love it even more now! Definitely our go to hotel for orange beach now!

The elevators… they are kind of slow

The property was at a great location. It’s clean and the pool area is nice. The rooms are okay, our tub and sink never drained properly.

The elevators are extremely slow, and you need a card to go anywhere which if you are in a hurry with your hands full it was a pain to put everything down get a room key out and then proceed

The cleanliness of our room was excellent. Patrick the bartender was awesome. We enjoyed visiting with him and he made excellent drinks.

I would have liked a coffee pot in our room. I felt the cost was a little high since we had no view of the ocean. I felt like the breakfast buffet was a little high. It would be nice if senior discount was offered.

Right on the beach. Quick check in. Staff very friendly. Room extremely clean and spacious for my family of 6. We got a king room with pull out couch and bunk beds and were overly satisfied. Breakfast was delicious the following morning and the beach and pool and pool bar were a double bonus.

Loved the convenience of the location and that it was right on the beach. The staff was exceptional.

If everyone is at the elevators at the same time, you can expect to wait. Sometimes it was easier to just take the stairs, which is fine. The parking at check in can be pretty hectic, but overall everything else was pleasant. Also, there were beers found in our closet area as well as a ton of sand that we attempted to clean up.

The staff were incredibly friendly and extremely helpful.

I wish there were more laundry facilities.

My family and I stayed at Best Western Premier – The Tides from June 23–25, 2026, expecting an enjoyable beach vacation, but we were disappointed when the ocean-view room we paid for overlooked a construction site, our room was never serviced during our stay, and we had to request clean towels ourselves. During breakfast on June 24, we also experienced poor customer service, as we were repeatedly overlooked and had to ask multiple times for drinks and basic service while other guests were attended to promptly. Because these issues significantly affected our stay, I reported them to Best Western Customer Care (Case #39843) and am respectfully requesting a 50% refund of $470.50 from the $941.00 we paid.

Great Location, very comfortable room, nice beach access with a great pool area w/hot tub. The bed was awesome and even though we had an issue with the A/C shutting off, the maintenance guy had it fixed in minutes. Unbelievable lobby area, huge glass front window overlooking the beach. Great hotel and easy access to everything.

For $14.50 I thought the breakfast could have been better, had to wait a while for buffet to be re-stocked. Even though the parking garage was nice, I never think you should have to pay $11.00/day parking at a hotel you're staying at. Also was disappointed there was no coffee machine in the room, it forced me to pay for coffee which is usually not the case at a hotel.

Married couple who stayed 3 nights for a wedding in the area. We are used to better hotels, but liked this hotels location, so that's why we chose it. We wanted to be by nearby Coastal restaurant and also enjoyed the Sunliner Diner across the street. This hotel has a nice location right on the beach, however, it's really hard to walk anywhere around it since it's mainly on a very busy road (highway) with no sidewalks. We didn't have a car and found that to be a challenge. Staff at the front desk was pretty nice. Even met the manager and she seemed really nice even saying she would've taken us to the Publix up the street after finding out we had walked in the heat. She didn't have to say that, so I appreciated the sentiment. Not having a coffee maker in the room absolutely sucks and is mentioned so many times on here, you would think they would've done something about it by now. Also, having to sign out the towels on the 4th floor by the lobby for the pool is ridiculous as well. They should be down by the pool area. Nobody really monitors whether you sign them back in either, we just signed out and in and the same time. The pool was nice. It was refreshing, but not freezing cold. Hot tub was a nice temperature. There were a lot of families there and kids in the hot tub, but we were able to find some quiet times too. You could go down there very early and they didn't seem to mind, which was nice. The bar area at the pool is kind of underutilized. It could be more welcoming and a better atmosphere, but it just isn't. They couldn't even get the World Cup on the tv down there when we asked. There's some general maintenance that looks like it needs to be done too. Painting and pressure washing is needed. Beach access can't get any more convenient though. Room was clean and we asked housekeeping to make up our room in the mornings and it was always done timely by the time we got back from being at the pool/beach. Room was quiet too, even though we were on the 4th floor right down from the lobby. Hotel should disclose that there is something being built right next door. There is some construction noise and it does diminish your "water view" quite a lot. It really just overlooks a big construction sight and a highway if you get right down to it. This hotel might be perfectly fine for families, but as a couple like us who travels a lot, it missed the mark.

All and all a beautiful place to stay on the beach. Bring a Keurig if you drink a lot of coffee as there is not one in the room. I bought one the first morning of my arrival. Breakfast is not free. No continental. We did brake down and have the breakfast which was pretty good. Have fun.

THE AC IS BROKEN AND THEY TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY EXTRA FOR A DIFFERENT ROOM. They disturbed our sleep in the sweltering heat and insisted on changing the AC unit. They changed it, but the room still didn't cool down. No refund offered, just waived the parking fee of $85.

The Tides Hotel was awesome! 🌴☀️ I loved the beautiful views, the relaxing atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the convenient location. The property was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a getaway.

I researched and was so excited about this location. If you have a family…. Please read! Concerns- no sidewalk access to get across to places to eat. It was no easily to find places. The elevator was incredibly slow… which was an issue because the lobby is on the 4th floor and the pool access and beach access is on the ground level. They check out beach towels at the lobby (not at the bar or pool attendant). So when you need a new towel you have to go in, ride a slow elevator, to get a towel. We were there memorial weekend, bar was barely open. No coffee pot in room. We were hoping this would be our new regular place to visit, but we won’t be back.
