Clean and very made up

The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable with gorgeous crisp, white sheets of high quality. The toiletries were also of a high quality. The breakfasts are amazing. And the owners are welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

There was nothing that I didn't like

Extra touches, such as home made shortbread. Very comfortable beds, free parking. The best breakfast we have had in a bed and breakfast for a very long time. Absolutely the best stay. Full marks in my opinion, people would be mad to stay anywhere else in Bridlington Thank you Steve and Tony, you do a fab job.

Full breakfast was great and enough to set you up for the day. Hosts were very friendly . Location was nice and quiet during the night.

We had a lovely overnight stay. Our hosts were friendly and attentive. Loads of choices for breakfast and what we had was delicious. The little extras like home made shortbread in your room and fresh milk available as an alternative to long life were a wonderful added bonus. We would definitely stay again.

Very friendly & helpful owners , they couldn't do enough for you .Very comfortable beds in rooms that included robes & slippers .Delicious homemade shortbread biscuits in our room .What a homely touch .. A lovely lounge area to relax in the evening. Breakfast was really good freshly cooked & good portion sizes.I had a fresh fruit salad that was scrumptious .Great selection of fruit to start the day .Really enjoyed our stay not far from the Spa theatre .Very close to the sea front.Hope to visit again soon .

There wasn't anything to dislike .

We are night owls so don't go to bed until late, so it was nice to have Netflix on the TV in the room for late night film watching. I thought breakfast was lovely- although next time we visit I will take more advantage of their variety/range. The hosts were sociable and approachable.

We liked the room had everything and more that we could want including the added touch of the home made short bread, lovely touch. There was house coats slippers tissue and lovely big bedside lamps in the room. We really liked where it was a stones throw away from the beach and amenities so perfect for us. Hosts were brilliant, making sure everything we wanted was there for us, including a parking space free and discounts on places to eat. the smiles on Tony and Steve's faces says it all. there was even an iron and ironing boards and plenty hangers. The only thing I would change is the size of the dovet and cover as ours was a tad small for the bed needed a king size quilt on.

Tony and Steve work really hard to make every ones stay just perfect, our room a larger dovet as didn't fit to bottom of the bed, and slightly damp towels in the bathroom.

Super hosts, friendly and helpful. Best vegetarian breakfast I have ever had, lots of choice, top quality ingredients. I had fruit salad to start then a cooked vegetarian breakfast, which I could not fault, even had veggie bacon. Lovely accommodation, bed comfortable, very clean room. Everything set out well with lots of little added touches for a perfect stay. Would highly recommend for a short or long stay.

Great pre-order menu breakfast choice enabling different options on different days. Adult only accommodation. Many little room extras e.g. chocolate, homemade shortbread, make-up removal flannel, earbuds, cotton wool balls, cotton pads, shower cap, shoe mitt, tissues, dressing gown and slippers. Well stocked hospitality tray with hot chocolate, varieties of tea, coffee, long life milk mini cartons or small fresh milk bottles from the fridge downstairs. Fan, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, luggage rack shower mat.

In arrival we were made to feel very welcome by these 2 gents and they are gents. . The rooms were fully equipped with everything you could possibly need even a proper ironing board and iron. Little things like a bottle of water which was replenished during our stay, makeup cloth cotton wool, fan etc. Breakfast was lovely little bottles of orange juice and proper coffee. We will definitely be back next year and hopefully we will get to stay here. 🙏

We visited Tony & Steve for 1 week from 16th-23rd July . We could not have wished for a better place to stay , the boys were perfect hosts nothing was to much trouble, they were funny and most accommodating. The guest house was a short walk to town centre, it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and tasty with a variety of choice .

We were greeted by very friendly and hospitable hosts who did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The facilities exceeded expectations, and we were served a delightful breakfast in the morning.

Great hosts Steve and Tony. Great location, extremely comfortable and clean rooms. Steve couldn't have been more helpful, even bringing us tea and toast outside on our last morning. Will definitely recommend South Lodge Guest to all our friends and family. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Bridlington. Lesley and Stef x

Easy to find property with accessible on street parking right outside the door. Fantastic hosts, fantastic breakfast. Well equipped rooms with a delightful bonus of homemade shortbread. Walking distance into Bridlington. Would definitely recommend.

Breakfast was second to none. So much of it quantity as well as quality. The room had everything you needed in it like home from home, even slippers and dressing gowns. Plus home made shortcake biscuits were so nice. A variety of teas which were excellent. Steve and Tony the owners were so friendly, they are lovely people. At the front of the property were so many flowers in pots etc that it made the property so inviting. This property is second to none.

superb hosts who put themselves out. I had forgotten my phone charger and Steve lent me his. Breakfast was superb. Cooked to order .Quality ingredients. My fresh fruit salad was outstanding. Marmalade and jam were Wilkins Tiptree. Excellent hospitality tray in room including home made shortcake, decaff and fruit teas, and hot chocolate. Bath wrap and slippers provided. Quality toiletries Located in an Edwardian semi detached villa in a quiet, tree lined residential street, 5 mins walk from south beach.

It had a shower, but I would have preferred a bath - the ensuite was not large enough for one.

Everything South Lodge Guest House is definitely five-star accommodation. Steve and Tony are exceptional hosts who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was the best we have ever had, the room was extremely comfortable, and the thoughtful little extra touches made our stay even more special.

Welcoming hosts, hotel tastefully decorated, room very well-equipped with amenities and spotlessly clean, beds really comfortable, homemade shortbread delicious and home-cooked breakfast absolutely fantastic!! Thank you so much to Steve and Tony, this was the best place we have ever stayed and would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

What a lovely location and the rooms were perfect with a lot of thought given to the decor. Breakfast superb, but the best thing about our stay here were the hosts, Steve & Tony, what a team, so welcoming you felt like you had known them all your life, thanks lads for a lovely stay. The lodge was a flat walk ~ 15min from the train station. The room was clean and not overcrowded with space to put our carry-on luggage, we were also provided with housecoats and slippers! Slept well in the comfortable beds, the lodge is located in a quiet area. Breakfast was delicious! Homemade cookies were such a treat. Had a wonderful stay with the hosts Steve and Tony, unfortunately due to flight plans we where only able to stay one night - wish we could have stayed longer.

We used to live in the area and travel to Bridlington most years to visit old friends. We have stayed in various guest houses in the past but once we'd discovered South Lodge we never stayed anywhere else. Steve and Tony are brilliant hosts nothing is too much trouble. South Lodge is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are simply the best. The location is in a very pleasant residential area close to the South Beach and a short walk from the town.

Didn’t realise the second bed would be in a little side room - maybe should be advertised / explained clearer on booking? Couple of the breakfast items (beans/black pudding) were bland (obvious just cheap items).

Shampoo and conditioner wasn’t in the room but I dare say had I have asked they would have been able to provide it. Also, I like a heated rail in a bathroom.

Honestly can't fault this amazing B&B at all, its the best we've ever stayed in by far. It was run by two very friendly & lovely hosts who go out of their way to make it the best experience for you. Everything was just wonderful from the safe bike storage, comfy beds, tasty homemade biscuits in the room, fresh fruit salad at breakfast as well as the usual cooked offering...so tasty. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night on a cycle tour. We will be thinking of a reason to return for longer. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

Really friendly hosts - everything was so well organised, right down to bath robe & slippers, which I would never have expected (a nice touch). Good sized bathroom. Excellent location for visiting Bridlington and the surrounding area. Breakfast tasty and very filling.

Nothing really - there is limited forecourt parking, but then you can park in the road, free of charge, where there are ample spaces.
