Salt on the Harbour

It was clean.

The noise from the harbour kept me awake all night.. skips being delivered, little dumpsters coming and going with rubbish to put in the skip. The noise was horrendous. No harbour view.. just harbour noise. The room was £121 for one night on a Sunday. Not worth the money

It was a perfect location and spotlessy clean.

Great location and added bonus to park car outside property. Extremely clean and such comfortable beds too. Unbelievable views from the room and breakfast room. The breakfast was superb and what a place to sit and enjoy the food and surroundings although very hot with sun shining through big windows. Lovely friendly staff and Sam allowing us to check in couple of hours early after misjudging journey and her saying room was ready. Thank you for a great stay

Great location overlooking the harbour and minutes from the town centre. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. The breakfast was fabulous. Would definitely stay there again

Parking is a little limited, however we did manage to get a space most of the time. The shower water pressure was very poor and could do with upgrading

The location was excellent a short walk to the harbour. The room had a great view, staff really friendly and efficient.

A sea view from our bedroom, but perhaps we should have chosen that at the beginning of the booking process!

The room was lovely overlooking the harbour. Bed was sooo comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. Sam was very friendly and showed us around and told us about breakfast times etc. The place is in a great location too. Breakfast was amazing, hot and delicious. Would definitley stay here again

Excellent location with so much nearby, lovely staff, super breakfast. Aircon unit provided in the bedroom, which was definitely needed.

So hard to get a parking spot anywhere nearby on the day we arrived. Even Pay & displays full. However this would not stop us from staying again because we like a walk.

The location was great, the bar and restaurant area was very nice.

The double bed was very small, the room faced the bins and was noisy early in the morning. The service at breakfast was appalling, the wrong breakfasts were bought to us 3 times, long waits. Quality of food was very good but very disappointing and disorganised service.

The staff were amazing - very friendly and super helpful - they even offered to carried my bike up the stairs for me! The breakfast was fantastic (great food and with views overlooking the harbour).

Our room was at the back of the hotel so rather than overlooking the sea it overlooked the car park and a big bay of rubbish bins. Extremely noisy trucks went in and out throughout the night and even with ear plugs it was impossible to sleep.

We just like everything about our stay and the breakfast was lovely.

Perfectly positioned near the town. Free parking outside the apartment. Nice touches with bottled water in the room, biscuits and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent: good quality and the service at the table was perfect. Lovely to eat breakfast overlooking the harbour. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was also delicious

Position overlooking the harbour was lovely and occupied a couple of hours of my time, The rooms were slightly separate from the pub and were extremely quiet

Parking was a big hit and miss due to only 4 spaces but this is mentioned in the description and a very cheap car park is nearby

The room was very clean and I loved that there was a corner bath.

No parking facilities for guests, had to park and ride as there is no where that accommodates 24hr parking in the town. Noise was an issue 4am start as it's a working harbour wasn't expecting a forklift truck thundering passed several times.

Breakfast was good - best porridge ever. Dinner was excellent. Lovely relaxed surroundings overlooking the harbour. Very informal - not really like a hotel, but rooms over the restaurant.

Fruit at breakfast was mainly melon, with a few berries. Would have really liked a bowl of more interesting fruit, including strawberries, which apparently ran out on our second day. No yogurt. Very small gripes - overall both food and accommodations were really good. Carrying our suitcases up the steep flight of stairs to our room was hard on my husband's back! A lift would have been nice (or someone offering to help).

Parking is limited, but we were aware of this before travelling, so not a serious issue.

Location great. Bed in room 2 noisy. Sink in ( both)bathrooms , the plug when pressed in to fill sink to get a wash wouldnt open again. Had to use a tea spoon to get it up to release the water. Drawers in both rooms( upgraded for 2nd night). Food in restaurant excellent( steak superb) as were the drinks. Staff very helpfull.

A better bed in room 2. And the drawers aren't upto what is being charged. Floor in room 5 creaks loudly near cupboard.

The shower was a trickle coming out no pressure from it very poor requires maintenance doing Bedside cabinet had the covering coming up at the edges these were sharp For the price we paid we thought it was a bit over price didn't think it was worth it

Close to town centre,lovely view of the harbour from the window room was warm bed comfy and the breakfast was delicious,staff were brilliant.

The only thing toilet seat never fit right but apart from that everything else was fine.

Lovely apartment, central location, friendly staff, great restaurant. We were met by a lovely lady who showed us to our apartment and all the staff were very helpful. Only stayed the 1 night but hope to stay again soon

Great Location - Breakfast Excellent. Restaurant wasn't open for dinner but was for Breakfast. Room was nice, clean & very quiet. Great jog route either up the North shore or down the South.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't very good - but that may be the user.

It was an unfortunate surprise that the restaurant was closed for the one night of our stay. The staff went out of their way to find us an alternate. That minor blip aside, it was an exceptional stay, and I like to think I will be back.

The Welcome on arrival & check in made so easy. A member of the team once checked in, took us to our room & explained where everything was and even booked us in for our evening meal! An added bonus after long journey not having to go back down to book ourselves. Oh my the restaurant and food was simply superb! Great Location, reasonable price & breakfast & food amazing. Forgot to mention the beautiful view of the Harbour & sun shining!
