Qualify of room and bathroom was very nice. Complimentary biscuits and coffee was a nice touch. Cleaners cleaned around messy room which was very appreciated. Breakfast was well thought out and the views from the balcony where pleasing.
Location was perhaps a little out of the way, once we had a better idea of the lanes it wasn't too much hassle.
Everything. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, a real credit to the hotel.
ארוחת הבוקר פחות התאימה לנו, אפשרות מצומצמת, אין ירקות
The staff were amazing. Do friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. They helped to make my birthday special. Thank you
Loved the whole place.
Once we were moved after the first night we had a very pleasant room
We were originally allocated a room which did not meet the description we had booked. We were however moved the following day and the staff were extremely helpful. There was a wedding at the hotel and we were not informed that there would be noise until midnight until it was too late to cancel.
Wonderful staff, great food, clean and well-appointed room with a great shower and very comfy bed. Very different from when I last stayed there 20years ago when it was just a country pub with a few basic rooms. Not sure when it was redeveloped but they've done an excellent job and I'd definitely stay again in the future.
Cleanliness and facilities were good.
Unsure.
Location for exploring the area . Very helpful staff. Good value restaurant
When I first got in my room there was a slight smell of smoking. In the waste paper bin there were a couple of empty vaping capsules
The location is a beautiful hillside with great views. The social area of the property are very well designed and taken care of.
In contrast. The room was not really clean. Cobwebs in several places. The remnants of smashed mosquitoes on the walls. They do provide a fan but in hot summer days it is not enough cooling to sleep well. The Inn is an event venue where people stay overnight so there was noise both nights until past midnight. Slamming of doors and conversations in the hallway clearly audible through thin walls.
We booked a four poster room which was really spacious with a comfortable King sized bed. Bathroom had a spa bath seperate and rainshower, Hotel was clean and staff were excellent. We had Breakfast both mornings and it was perfect, Good selection of continental with hot food cooked to order from a varied menu selection hot and tasty with quallity ingredients. We also dined in evening and again food and staff excellent. Bar and food prices were about average for a hotel.
Can find fault with anything if pushed, couple tiles craked on bathroom floor, am sure these will soon be fixed. Room was a little hot but fans were provided in room so no issue. Overall a really good hotel that other places could learna lot from.
Friendly staff. Good sized bedroom. Welcome 'walk in' shower.
It would have been nice to have had a fridge in the room. There was enough space for one.
Nice location , but builders ruined this
Very poor service from management Room not clean Bed poor and springs starting to protrude - catch your leg when getting in / out Dodgy fans as no air con Getting dated / worn out ( wife thought it looked like an old peoples home when we arrived )
Room Was great
Squashed strawberries on room floor and slow service at breakfast
Lovely location, exceptional staff and great food.
Everything was great.
Convenient for what we needed - spacious room, good breakfast. Staff were lovely and very welcoming of our dog.
Felt dated and not very clean. Even found some false eyelashes in one of the glasses in our room.
Room was modern and very nice Staff were great and food was very nice.
The room was extremely warm constantly even when we had windows open, not sure why that was.
The staff were all lovely and really helpful. The restaurant was lovely, everything seemed fresh and a good selection with a nice atmosphere. In general the communal areas were all really nice and well kept. The bonus skittles lane downstairs, great fun!
The room wasn’t very clean, fine for one night but there were grapes from a previous occupant on the floor along with dust balls and other signs of the floor not having been hoovered properly. Unfortunately there was a power cut overnight so we weren’t able to have a shower in the morning, wash hands or flush the toilet plus they couldn’t provide hot breakfast as they’re unable to cook. While not the hotels fault perhaps they should have a backup generator for these instances. Having said that all the staff dealt with it well and were extremely friendly.
Fabulous location. Big room. Extra large bed. Incredible value
Nothing
All the local girls on the staff went out of their way to be helpful
Noise from the corridor doors which shook our door every time someone went through. This is probably unique to room 110 due to the short distance between corridor doors. No automatic way to replenish tea etc. supplies in the room. Breakfast a bit overcooked both QAz days.
Staff disponibile buona scelta per la colazione possibile cenare fino alle 21 positiva
Camera piccola
Lovely room and nice resturant!
Ruby & Prashan in the dining area were delightful. Went above & beyond to be helpful. Breakfast & meals in the restaurant were exceptional, especially the plated roast dinner.
Rooms would benefit from air conditioning.
The team were very friendly especially the lady on reception, Natasha I think. All the serving team also esp. Archie who helped us from Day 1. Lovely location with great views of Glastonbury Tor
Dinner was a little slow at times and breakfast could have had a wider variety of choices. Full breakfast was disappointing. Better fans in the bedrooms in Thai extreme weather.
Pleasant reception and clean room. Were able to get access to room a little early to change before an event. 😀
The room was small but cozy, the dining area and reception were modern and clean. Staff were fab
The room was the cleanest. Unfortunately the bins in our room weren’t empty and had rubbish from the last people. The shower clearly hadn’t been cleaned either as had dirt and hair
All the food was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We got upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was awesome!
The room was generally clean, but I noticed some dirt and dust, as though the cleaning had been rushed and not as thorough as it could have been.
The property was absolutely everything we were looking for!! With only a few days available to have some time away, the hotel made it incredibly special. The location was perfect being rural and only a few miles from Wells. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, they really were a great addition to the overall experience. The room…….well, outstanding value for money, just beautiful.
I cannot fault anything
Perfect location for viewing the eclipse! Staff were very helpful: we moved tables 3 times trying to see the eclipse but avoid the extreme heat on the terrace!
The terrace is a great sun-trap for cooler times, but maybe needs a rethink, more shade and cooler flooring for the hot summers!
Lovely location, friendly helpful staff, ample parking with car charging facilities. Themed menu each night in the restaurant. Robert & Bhushan were very accommodating throughout, Bhushan ensured we had every we needed.
The whole place needs to be thoroughly cleaned. We noticed spiders webs and dust in the room as well as in the reception area.
The room was extremely clean and beautiful even getting a free upgrade was amazing. The staff member who initially greeted us was amazing she was helpful and extremely kind.
To start with, the room had no air con even though it was 33 degrees outside. They did supply a couple of fans but they did almost nothing. We were sweating constantly while in our room and had a horrible night sleep waking up multiple times through the night. The service was slow being sat down we were then waiting almost 30 mins just to order drinks even though we weren’t even given a drinks menu. The restaurant wasn’t even overly busy with just 3 other tables of 2 in the extension section, with 3 wait staff and separate staff at the bar. The food was greasy and tasteless also the servers didn’t even know what it was when they gave it to us. Breakfast was the only good part but we had to wait 15 minutes for the hostess to show us to our table as they were no where to be seen. The breakfast was a small selection of items with no fresh fruit being served only fruit salad and 1 type of yogurt being available. The bread that they offered was cheap and not good quality. For the price of this hotel and it being a 5 star it is not what you would expect.
Staff all very pleasant, although restaurant service was often slow. Large, elevated patio dining/bar, with far-reaching views over the Somerset levels to Glastonbury Tower. Food varied and generally very acceptable. Ample free parking with bonus of 4 good value EV charging points. Rural setting, so nice and quiet at night. Overall, good value for money.
Executive room ok but let down by the tired fittings and carpets. Daily cleaning was at best superficial but we have stayed here before and not had this problem, so perhaps a cleaner in need of some guidance or training!!
Lovely setting in the countryside. Nice outdoor terrace to have a drink and take in the view. Food in restaurant was really nice.
Nothing all good.
I liked all, the staff, the food and the location
Lovely location. Plenty of off road parking. Efficient and friendly. Staff all interacted easily and helpfully with guests. Good choice of food on menus and especially for breakfast. Clean room and comfortable beds.
The stairs were not the easiest, and a lift would be helpful.
A great room. Very close to Wells and Glastonbury- but narrow country roads a trial. Excellent restaurant. Friendly staff.
We have stayed at Crossways many times and return due to the excellent service and standard of the facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful and we enjoy the relax nature of our stay. We also enjoy the breakfast which is of a very high standard.
Although there were blinds curtains at the windows would have helped reduce the light coming in. Would also prefer a bath instead of shower which is easier for the children
We were upgraded to a better room. Free and spacious car parking. Breakfast included which was a bonus. we were allowed to check in slightly earlier than anticipated thank you.
A grab bar safety in the shower/Jacuzzi bathroom is essential for the type of room we occupied.
Facilities and location
Nothing in particular
A beautiful four poster room The outside decking area was very welcoming for a drink after a busy day
Nothing
My wife’s breakfast was returned twice as unsatisfactory and the steak on steak night was very tough
The room lacked a fridge it was in need of redecoration Dirty marks on the carpet and needed a paint job in parts
My room was very comfortable with lovely views overlooking Glastonbury Tor and a lovely evening sunset. Really enjoyed being able to sit outside on roof terrace having a drink in evening and coffee at breakfast time. Good breakfast also.
The waterfall shower for my room was unusable as temperature control didn’t work and water was scalding hot. The fault has been reported to property but no refund offered
Great location within a few minutes drive to local towns.nice views . Wells town is worth a visit.staff were great.
Nothing.
We loved the hotels decor, the location and the view was amazing
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like but Just a couple more plug sockets in the bedrooms would be ideal and there was a problem with wasps on the patio
Room was very spacious
Hotel side of the building, air con would be nice
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location - very peaceful but a 10 minute drive from Glastonbury and Wells. Also very near to Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge. The facilities are excellent !
None
Amazing
The events manager, Robert. He let the entire staff with his attitude towards customers and staff
Location, good value EV charging 15p kWh ,parking pleasant staff.
Overall inefficiency of running of the hotel. Reception 10/10, manager runoff his feet, food not good even after waiting ages for it on two occasions. Room cleaning could be better.
The staff and the outside areas
A bit too warm
Superb hotel.make you very welcome. Small but beautiful facility.Ideal for functions of any nature! Avalon suite spectacular! Views amazing from the patio..
Nothing to report.
Food was really nice quality and value for money, decent sized portions. Staff really helpful and friendly. Room size and bed was very comfortable but we went at the wrong time during a heatwave there wasn’t air conditioning and we were looking forward to the bath however the bath jets had not been cleaned so when we ran it it had black dirt bits in it, the seal was also gone so the water was disappearing slowly. There was a wedding on & there was noise but it was stopped at the time they said around 12 so no problem for us, they did inform us prior to our arrival. Breakfast was made fresh and again was tasty. Lovely pretty place to stay with plenty of parking, would recommend!
Bath jets were not cleaned.
Lovely location
Nothing
The hotel is absolutely lovely and excellent value for money usually, however disappointing on this occasion
Our shower wasn’t working and we were given another room to shower in but refused the ability to move to that room so had to trot along the corridor in pj’s to shower. We were concerned housekeeping weren’t aware we were in there and could walk in at anytime. Also in the event of a fire alarm would anyone of known we were using the room ?? Would have been much more sensible to move completely. Dinner was a shambles sadly we were given sauv blanc straight from the shelf not chilled. Table booked for 7pm we were seated at 8.20, given menus however nobody returned to take the order. The manager was a great guy who did his best and we were offered a round of drinks but sadly he had a very inexperienced team to work with. Our starters arrived at 9.20pm for a 7pm booking 😩 I personally have stayed here many times and previously it’s always exceeded expectations and it was on my recommendation we stayed here. One of our party has a 3 night booking in September but will be cancelling sadly. I really liked the poor manager and he definitely tried his best but our overall experience was grim.
Lovely spacious room with very comfortable four poster bed. Lovely quiet location in countryside 10 minutes from Wells. Friendly and efficient staff and good food
The room was comfortable. Nice bar and restaurant, interesting to see that there was a Japanese menu on Thursday evenings. We only had a couple of sides to eat, they were very pleasant
The was only adequately clean. Booked because booking.com stated it was a four poster + sofa bed as was travelling with my child. Sofa bed wasn’t made up unfortunately. Breakfast service was clearly very understaffed when we visited so the experience there wasn’t ideal.
Absolutely everything
Everything was perfect
Good breakfast and the restaurant was nice.
It is tired and run down but they are making improvements. There a lipstick stain on the towline the bathroom on checking in. We left after the first night on a three night stay.
All very pleasant
Das Frühstück war geschmacklich eher fad.
Heerlijk bed. Lekker ruimtelijke kamer. Mooi uitzicht vanuit de eetzaal
De wegen eromheen zijn erg smal en begroeid.
Lovely breakfast, excellent choice of hot food. Beautiful view of Glastonbury Tor from the terrace. Warm welcome when I arrived. Super comfy bed, loved the shower, appreciated all the little extras in the room.
Nothing, perfect weekend.
Well equipped comfortable room. Excellent dining and bar area.
Spacious room with comfortable bed.
On the first night we booked a table in the restaurant for 7pm, we waited 30 minutes for our order to be taken, at 8.30 pm we eventually received our meal after complaining twice, the starter never turned up as they forgot, so I just told them to knock it off the bill as we had, had enough by this time, the excuse we got given was that they had a cycling group who were turning up a different times, that was no excuse as we had a booking for 7pm, if they had booked and turned up at different times then maybe they shouldn’t have taken priority, the food was ok, but not as expected.
Clean, great views from the terrace
Nothing was wrong
The fact that they took my credit card details even though I'd booked and paid through booking.com
Not a lot- basic
Bed uncomfortable, pillows hard, water too hot - boiling!! Being bitten during the night by some sort is small insect’s, bathroom smelt damp
I had dinner and also breakfast and both were excellent.
Nothing comes to mind
Very well appointed place to stay in every way. Large room, bed and bathroom. Staff were excellent and very helpful.
Good breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Bedding. Noisy
Comfortable
Rather tucked out of the way
Cosy and good value.
The hotel is just too beautiful, clean cosy and beautifully designed. Love the layout, the bar and table arrangements. Just a nice place to spend a quiet weekend in a relaxed setting 👌
The cooked breakfast could use a little improvement. It was just too basic
The jacuzzi bath was amazing. Breakfast was lovely and catered for all dietary needs. Also, the night staff was lovely and very accommodating. On arrival, I had a bottle of Prosecco, which was a lovely touch when arriving after a 6-hour journey. Great location, 15 minutes drive to Glastonbury Tor.
Didn't like I was facing the main restaurant/bar become, as very noisy. Due to my window and door facing the restaurant/bar, I had to keep my blinds shut the whole stay and windows closed.
good size bedroom and nice food
no air con
Staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean.
More eletrical sockets, it was rare 34° C heatwave so we had to unplug bedside lamps to use the two fans provided.
Excellent hotel with brilliant staff through out.
NA
The room was spacious with everything you would expect. The bed was comfortable and clean.
The rain shower wasn't the greatest and an additional shower head would have been really helpful.
very friendly staff everyone was lovely
Very clean throughout, friendly staff, large size room with modern, large bathroom. Nothing to fault. There's grassy areas around the hotel to walk the dog. Nice tea making facilities in the room with biscuits. Breakfast is included although we didn't stay for breakfast.
Nothing I didn't like.
Absolutely everything! We can’t wait to return, and didn’t want to leave!
Idyllic location with easy access to Wells and surrounding areas! There are a number of EV charging points at £17/kwh by Monta which is a plus!
The breakfast has limited selections.
Ruime nette kamers en vriendelijk personeel en heel lekker ontbijt . Zicht op de Tor
Rookgeur aan de inkom
Very friendly staff nice clean room, excellent breakfast
Location a bit of a way out for most places with narrow roads
Initially our room was very disappointing. Described as a Deluxe twin bedded room. according to the description the room included a "Seating Area", tea and coffee making "machine", neither of which were in the room, and was far too small to accommodate the described seating area, Having brought this to the attention of Management, we were subsequently moved on the second day to a room more in keeping with the facilities as described. Breakfast was great. The Staff were very good, and the Management did respond positively to our complaint about the room.
WE did not feel that the A'la Carte Dinner Menu was any more interesting than many of our local Pubs, and bearing in mind the obvious amount of attention and cost which has evidently been spent throughout the premises, it is a pity that the Restaurant Menu was not in keeping with the general style and ambience of the Hotel.
I was upgraded to a lovely room. The staff were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was very good. The hotel doesn’t look great from the outside but don’t judge a book by its cover!
Our stay at Crossways was exceptional, and we felt incredibly welcomed. The staff and the hotel facilities were outstanding. Our executive double room was delightful, and the breakfast offered a wide array of choices. Crossways truly is a remarkable discovery.
Checking out!
Es war sauber, Zimmer zweckmäßig und völlig ausreichend für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp. Frühstück war sehr gut.
Es fehlt der englische Charme. Und das Bettsofa war etwas unbequem.
Very friendly staff, good parking, large confortable room. Good facilities for bringing a dog. On site restaurant.
Restaurant service a bit confused, but apologies given. Nothing much around the hotel without driving.
A gem of a place We got upgraded to a suite which was perfect Staff were all wonderful Nice food in the restraunt Great choice for breakfast Tastefully decorated Wonderful views
The fact we had to leave
It was quite noisy around my room, but other than that, I got what I paid for!
Beautiful countryside setting, great staff and lovely food.
Nothing
Comfortable accommodation, friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing
Location, good staff
Rooms described as luxury but were not, shower poor
We loved 1 night stay. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with 4 poster bed and jacuzzi. Staff was polite and food in the restaurant was full of flavour and fresh. Plenty of vegetarian options.
Large comfortable room ,with lovely walk in shower. Views were amazing. Room well equipped and warm. Also liked the fact you could open window for fresh air. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Food very good and well presented. Lovely bar area and everything very clean and bright. Plenty of parking.
Perhaps the narrow lane to get to hotel which could be a bit dodgy, but worth it to get to hotel.
