​I am writing this message to express my highest respect and most sincere gratitude to your hotel and, in particular, to two of your exceptional team members: Duty Manager Victor Xue and Housekeeping Supervisor Winnie Liu. ​To be honest, my journey to Tianjin was initially very rushed. I arrived on Sunday and spent my first night at The Ritz-Carlton, planning only a brief 24-hour itinerary. However, when I unexpectedly decided to extend my trip by another night and transfer to The St. Regis Tianjin, I was initially a bit concerned that the hotel's overall condition or service standard might feel like a step down after staying at The Ritz-Carlton. As it turned out, my worries were completely groundless. The St. Regis Tianjin has delivered an experience that is nothing short of breathtaking and deeply moving. ​First of all, the room is absolutely magnificent. Not only is the interior incredibly elegant and the condition flawless, but I was also deeply touched by the numerous precious, thoughtful, and generous birthday gifts placed in my room to celebrate my special day. When I looked out and saw the mesmerizing, enchanting river view, both my family and I were truly awestruck. This has easily become one of the most memorable and extraordinary birthday evenings of my life. ​The true soul of this perfect stay, however, lies in your unparalleled hospitality. I would like to formally commend and highlight the exceptional professionalism of two specific individuals: ​First, Duty Manager Victor Xue. From the very moment I arrived at the lobby for check-in, despite being undoubtedly occupied with managing countless guests, Victor personally stepped out to welcome me. He provided an incredibly professional, detailed, and high-caliber orientation. His sophisticated approach and humble etiquette made me feel deeply respected as an Elite Member—to the point of being overwhelmed with gratitude. I am immensely thankful to him for setting such a perfect tone for my stay. ​Second, Housekeeping Supervisor Winnie Liu. Last night, she personally escorted my mother to our room, 1831. Throughout the entire process, Winnie embodied the legendary St. Regis Butler Service at its absolute finest. Her incredibly warm, genuine, and caring demeanor deeply moved my mother and made our entire family feel genuinely at home. This level of heartfelt, personalized service is something no amount of luxury hardware can ever replace. ​Thanks to the stellar dedication of Victor and Winnie, what was meant to be a hasty extension of my trip has been transformed into an invaluable and beautiful memory that far exceeded all expectations. I am also greatly looking forward to breakfast tomorrow morning, which I am sure will be equally wonderful. ​To reciprocate this unforgettable hospitality, I will not only leave detailed, glowing 5-star reviews across major global travel platforms such as Google Maps and TripAdvisor, but I also intend to write directly to the Marriott International Corporate Customer Care Team. What stood out most were the two butlers, who supported me and my family throughout our stay (1 was traveling with a one-year-old child). From the moment we checked in, the butler team assisted us and continued to support and accompany us during the entire stay. At check-out, they personally said goodbye to us. The St. Regis Tianjin didn't disappoint. My wife and I genuinely enjoyed the warmth and professionalism of the staff, as well as the hot milk our butler thoughtfully prepared. The breakfast was a highlight as well — especially the buns and Jianbingguozi. Overall, the hotel made our weekend getaway so much better, and we truly appreciate it.

Temp of the room. Central aircon set at 24-25 c 3 nights out of 5 when environment temp is 3-12c daily. We are not happy with the heat in the room.

Отель довольно хороший. Номер красивый, с панорамным окном. Правда зимой около окна немного холодно. удобные кровати, есть меню подушек. Подушки удобные. Завтраки хорошие, довольно большой выбор блюд. Все вкусно. Персонал приветливый, на ресепшене хорошо говорят по-английски.

Очень плохо настраивается вода в ванной комнате. очень долгий отклик. То есть немного поворачиваешь ручку регулятора, а температура воды меняется минуты через полторы.... соответственно если случайно перекрутил или недокрутил, надо долго ждать, проверять, какая вода получилась, крутить опять. На настройку воды для принятия душа уходит минут по 10. Впервые с таким столкнулись. Так же в санузле заедала кнопка спуска воды в унитазе и если ее потом не пошевелить, то вода продолжала все время литься. Это все мелочи, но для довольно недешевого отеля, это может быть значимо.

St. Regis Tianjin offered an exceptional stay , elegant rooms, stunning river views, and a delicious breakfast buffet with excellent service!

The view from my room down onto the Haihe was spectacular and something I won't forget. The room had a Chaise longue where you could lie back and admire the view. That part of the river has a beautiful curated sidewalk where locals come to fish and exercise in the morning. Before sunrise was truly magical down there. Great big bathroom with towel heater which was great for drying swimming gear. Gym was well-equipped with towels and water, and pool was a good size for lap-swimming. The hotel is also truly an iconic building architecturally. Opposite the front entrance is a large shopping mall with all the usual great food and drinks options, while the back entrance to the hotel leads out to the Haihe where you can chill in a private area just for hotel residents or access the river from there.

Sometimes the breakfast room did not have enough seats and they asked people to sit outside in the bar area. This made getting food and coffee from the buffet very inconvenient as it was a bit of a walk to get there and emabrrassing carrying food in and out.

El restaurante estaba cerrado por las noches y el servicio en la terraza era muy lento y muchas veces no tenian cosas del menu, le falta mantenimiento a algunas areas del hotel.

this is a must go hotel in Tianjin . Excellent location and super friendly staff. Tha manger Mr. Han did a really great job from the first moment that we walked . He and his team really made a sure we had an unforgettable memory in Tianjin . This is a chilled and comfortable city , just relax. Will be back.

This is a quality hotel. Excellent location next to the river in walking distance to major attractions and close to central railway station. The design of the building is marvellous and is an architectural icon in its right. The room was very large with wonderful views. The hotel backs onto the river with a large outside patio with stunning views. A couple of points of critique. One the JianBing 煎饼 at the breakfeast wasn’t great. This is one of the Tianjin specialities but it wasn’t very fresh, no spring onion or seasoning, or lettuce. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to a quality traditional breakfast. The other minor critique is the swimming pool which needs renovating. It is getting a bit dirty and tired which lets down the whole hotel which is in excellent condition. Overall I would recommend and stay again. Service was good and the hotel has modern feel with excellent rooms.

We had A wonderful one night stay. Lovely and polite staff. A good sized, clean and comfortable room. Peking duck from the Chinese restaurant is best we had. A walk along the river after dinner is nice. Definitely a place I would love to be back.

Stayed at the St regis for 2 nights in Dec 2024. Such a wonderful experience, the st regis has an incredible charm and all the amenities and quality that you would expect from a top-tier hotel. The room, lounges and pool were all well-maintained and elegant in design. The location is excellent and my wife and I were able to take plenty of walks by the river (which I highly recommend as the views are beautiful and Tianjin in general is very walker-friendly). The thing that stood out the most however was the service, from the bag staff to the lobby and concierge everyone was kind, helpful, patient and spoke excellend English which was very helpful as we are not Chinese-language speakers and this was our first stop in China (and our very first visit !). In particular, upon landing we found that our bags did not make the transfer to Tianjin airport, meaning we had no clothes once we reached the hotel. The staff at the St regis called and communicated with the airport baggage staff to ensure it made its way to the airport on the next possible flight and then the hotel sent staff to pick it up for us and delivered it to our room which absolutely saved our trip. Incredible experience overall and I would like to specially thank Nathan, Peter Fu and Karen Fong who helped make our stay very special.

The location was great, just need to cross the road and the shopping street was there. There is a great selection of shops to shop and eat.

Booked for 3 pax in a room but every day, we just got 2 sets of toiletries daily which was quite frustrating, though we reminded the customer service almost daily. in the end, we had to buy a set ourselves.

The A/C didn’t work properly and the room temperature could get over 25. Breakfast was a bad experience the most of the people don’t speak English and they don’t have cards or signs to help you, even using the translator don’t make the experience better. Definitely not a real St. Regis experience.

Back door along the river is awesome.

The location is fairly convenient and close to main places of interests in town. The staff are friendly & professional to talk to, though not always as efficient as I would expect. The bed is very comfortable.

Having booked the river-view room at an extra, I was told at check-in that my original booking was only for a `partial river view' and for the full river view, 200 yuan/day is needed. This is similar to how budget airline profits from first-time passengers by charging huge luggage fee, but on the spot I didn't make too much of a fuss and just paid the extra. The hotel is very driver-unfriendly. It doesn't have its own parking lot and shares with the adjacent condo. One has to drive down to 3rd level basement with many sharp turns to see the hotel basement entrance. (For non-Chinese speaker: no sign in English along this route.) Very counter-intuitively, the parking spots immediately next to the hotel entrance are actually not for hotel guests, but for the condo. One has to drive further on to find the real hotel parking space. What's more, to get the parking fee waiver one has to scan an extremely sketchy QR code at the hotel receiption. This leads one to a website with 2 seemingly identical buttons, one leading to parking fee waiver and the other to ads. Furthermore, there are two different QR codes at the receiption, and it's totally unclear what's the correct one to scan. Thus after a few frustrated attempts I asked the hotel staff to help sort things out, which they gladly did (as it seemed). But then when I exited the parking lot I was still charged an outrageous amount and had to call the hotel (and almost always calls take a long while to get answered) to resolve the issue. Yet another blot is that when I asked for an blindfold for sleeping, I was told that I have to purchase the `sleeper package' consisting of the blindfold and a bunch of extra that I don't need, at a price that I didn't even bother to inquire. When I insisted that I only needed a single blindfold and nothing else, I was told that it was not an option.

Everything was simply impeccable: the room was spacious and with a great view from the highest floor, the staff - top-friendly and helpful, swimming pool for proper sports swimming, nice light show and a dj playing in front of the hotel daily, nice bar and restaurant. Basically, we felt like staying I the hotel most if the time)

The hotel was constructed on 2011, my big family stay here for over a week in multiple rooms. The overall experience is we get what we paid for. It is not really a St. Regis hotel in our mind, not the price - slightly over $100 a night. Most of the staffs have great attitude and willing to help - applause for front desk, house keeping, and most of the restaurant folks - some of them has an attitude - most likely to the management but perceived by hotel guests. There is a killing point the make me avoid staying here when possible. The hotel has no active exhaust in the entire air condition and circulation system - only blowing fan works - there must be a great effort put in to get this hotel legally operate, especially during covid 19. This resulted in 1. The AC will not turn off even targeted temperature reached. You need to make a guess when sleeping on fan speed and out side temperature. 2. Smoke from other rooms get into your room randomly - regardless smoking / non-smoking room. It fully depends on guests in the rooms shared the same pipes with you. In the rooms we reserved, one has merely any smoke nor odors and one was terrible liker a smoking gun's room, albeit we reserved non-smoking rooms explicitly. 3. A smoky and stinky oder is exists throughout the property - from smoking guest and from the humid from showing. When we stay there - we found most guests were group rate reservation of conferences and summer camps. Rarely people pay themselves.

The location of the hotel is really convenient. Near the train station and the river. The river view of the room is also amazing, especially in the evening. The butler service is really great that offer coffee in 24 hours. Thanks for Manager Star arranged taxi to airport and prepared take away coffee for us. Thanks for all staff service. I will be back. It is nice city to visit. I and my friend really enjoy this stay in Stregis Tianjin. It is a wonderful stay.

My fiance and I had a wonderful engagement ceremony here, love their French food, The night view outside the room is gorgeous !!!friendly and professional butler team, grateful they gave us the beautiful flowers and champagne. Highly recommend!!!

Staff are friendly and attentive

My 1st time in Tianjin, a detour trip from Beijing for two nights stay on biz and St Regis had given me a warm welcoming check-in experience. Special thanks to front desk Chloe’s hospitality which made me feel home. BF is good with variety and local specialty. You can seat by window overlooking the river and it’s enjoyable. Egg Benedict though on the 2nd day was bad, maybe the chef was off so you need to count on luck (ha). Overall it’s still a superb and beyond expectation stay. Recommended !

The front desk staff wasn't that friendly and helpful. It was our 1st day in China and we are still trying to get used to their system and apps. Front desk simply ask us to search ourselves using their apps and didn't offer to help us search for places we wanted go. There were few staffs at front desk and most are like chatting with one another, abit oblivious to guests coming to front desk. Thought international brand service should be great but we were left slightly disappointed

This hotel was in downtown riverfront, next to walking street and a lot of malls. The outdoor restaurant was fantastic. I received a room upgrade to a suite with fantastic room view and luxurious facilities. Breakfast was great with a lot of local cuisines.

I enjoyed my stay! The service was good, attentive to my needs and gave me a warm welcome when i check-in. Throughout the days, they were helpful in geeting me cabs, giving recommendations on where to go and etc. My room was awesome, top floor, overlooking the river. It was clean and nothing to complain about.

Disappointing. 1. Was greeted poorly upon arrival by front desk staff who not only spoke close to no English but had terrible attitudes. 2. We were initially ignored when we said we wanted to check in and were only attended to, albeit rather rudely, when we repeated ourselves. 3. It totally spoiled our first impression of The St. Regis as we expected, at the very least, basic courtesy at check in from an establishment which brands itself a “luxury hotel”. 4. The front desk staff’s command of English was so bad, they told us that check out time was at 8pm and only corrected after we clarified. Staff was also unable to confirm if payment was made and it took a bit of back and forth to verify that payment will be deducted from a deposit. 5. None of the usual information such as wifi details, pool/gym hours were related to us. 6. Poor cleanliness: plates at breakfast were dirty will brown liquid stains on them, there was litter in the elevators. 7. Management really should invest more into training staff better. On our part, we would NOT recommend visitors to Tianjin to stay at The St. Regis. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

This got to be the best St Regis in China in terms of services and value for money !! I live here most of my time when I am in Tianjin. I chose them over Ritz because of the services. Great view over the river , amazing Butler team, and excellent F&B services. Unlike most St Regis, they offer happy hour for top tier members with snack and drinks. Special thanks to Chef Kenny and Tina for taking care of my breakfasts and offered me special dumpling ! And I love my Butler ladies !! They always helped me out and even arranged my room exactly the way I want it to be ! They even noted how I place my dolls and pillow and remember my preference ! Absolutely amazing ! It’s in central location and easy access to anywhere. It’s also super quiet with nice amazing view. Highly recommend !!

The overall experience is not so bad. Firstly, it is very strange that there is no doorman to open the cardoor for you as a five-star hotel. Secondly, the room is big, views are fabulous except the facilities in the room are outdated. The TV is not a smart Tv in a five-start hotel! Very small Tv with no Wifi, no projector, and the image is blurred! There is no bluetooth HI-FI in the room. Thirdly, no one told us at the check in that there is no tooth brush，toothpick, bottle opener ( they have beer in the mini bar but they don't provide bottle opener in the minibar) in the room and we have to call the front desk several times to get what we want. The services are great because we asked them to come several times but they always have good attitudes. We also booked the swimming pool and it was very pleasant experince because it is very clean and quiet.
