Woken by domestic violence at 3:30am somewhere above. Shouting, items hitting the wall, then the floor. Called front desk to advise to call police, little assurance it would be handled. Car was littered with broken glass in the morning, swept from balcony above. Poorly handled

The location was good for us because it was close to our function, and the outside of the property was very clean.

The renovations were a good start; however, the bathtub was too high, making getting in and out difficult. This is a health and safety issue; perhaps a walk-in shower would be better since the bathroom is so small.

Great location. Didn't have breakfast but it was available.

The staff were always around, cleaning, saying hello. Room was clean and very comfortable. Area was close to everything. Great price.

Not very clean, sheets stained, smelled of cigarette smoke in the room and everyone on the balcony smoking made it so you couldn't get away from it. People openly using drugs and leaving paraphernalia outside their door all night. Fridge was clunking and banging all night

The furniture in the room was attractive and comfortable - older upholstered couch, chair and dressing bench. Larger than average fridge in the room. Excellent water pressure in the shower, comfy chairs for sitting outside. Cancel 'til 4pm on the day of travel which is very unusual any more. Wood and tile floors so no dirty carpeting. Comfortable bed.

Considering the very reasonable price, there was little to not like. My only suggestion would be more comfortable pillows.

- The door to the room did not have a secondary lock (chain lock, deadbolt, latch clasp, etc.) - I found a pile of used kleenex/tissues in the drawer of the bedside table - I couldn't have a bath because I was unable to get the tub plug to work properly - the TV use and content was disappointing - lots of people that appeared "DOWN ON THEIR LUCK" hanging out in front of the units and on the balcony of the 2nd floor rooms - was their a breakfast or not with the room? Upon check in I wasn't given any information about it

Grimey bedcover, 1 channel TV, noisy AC, vanity & bathroom light on same switch so disturbing, stained bathtub, facecloth in ice bucket, no outdoor facilities.

we had the room on the end, it was very quiet, The room was fresly cleaned. one of the better motels I have stayed at. The free breakest was a nice bonus

The rooms could have been a bit cleaner. There was hair in the tub and on the floor. When moved a chair there was empty can and a brush.

We had a pleasant stay at the Saxony Motel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room had air conditioning, which was especially appreciated during the 34°C temperatures that week. We appreciated how understanding and accommodating the staff were when our travel plans unexpectedly changed. The motel is conveniently located within an easy drive of many local attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. We booked our stay through Booking.com, and the process was smooth and easy. We would happily stay at the Saxony Motel again if we're back in the area.

Lady at reception was very kind. Breakfast was ok. Bed was comfortable . Room was dirty behind TV when we were looking for a plug and behind toilet was not clean

Location was convenient for where I needed to be, near Hwy 40. It was clean, and bed was comfortable, I slept well. Liked having my complimentary breakfast in the morning. Plus Tim Hortons is right across the street. Has fridge and microwave coffee maker, so you can bring your own food/snacks/beverages. Staff was very nice.

Even with 4 lamps it was very dark inside. Plus the bed cover was a very dark burgundy. Needs more light, or higher wattage bulbs. The door lock is only a push pin, no deadbolt or flip lock. Didn’t like that for security reasons but all was fine.

Great staff. Felt welcomed. Very clean. Breakfast room is crowded.....but I just took mine to the room. Would stay again for sure. Great price.

I liked that it was a bottom level and had a king sized bed and overall was a nice room

There were issues such as: the tv would not work, the bathroom plug was moldy, there was no plug for the sink and it was not sound proof we spent 2 hours listening to a couple above us doing "adult" things

Very clean, kind and helpful staff, and a very good budget motel with big comfortable rooms. Complimentary breakfast with good coffee. Ongoing maintenance, painting work etc shows the owners put in a big effort to maintaining standards.

Workmen started maintenance on another nearby room before 8am so woken by hammering and drilling

The room was comfortable, but outdated. Could use some updating of the furniture. The bathtub is old and an older person would have difficulty getting in and out.

I like the staff,they are always friendly, I love the location, I liked that it was newly painted, the room smelled better . Overall we love staying there when we go down to visit family. What I don’t like is that the prices went up, with little change. The mattress was very uncomfortable due to the hard lumps, and the mattress was bending down in the middle, and every little move we make in the bed, is really noisy. And another thing that is a health risk for me, is that it is so dusty. The headboard’s of the bed , the walls, the furniture is really dirty. I did some cleaning there in number 14 before we left. I wiped all the table tops, and vanity top,night stand’s, coffee table. But overall the furniture needs a good cleaning, floors are always dirty, sorry to say, but we have never had a clean floor, and furniture, when we rented a room. Yet the price has increased. There has been a 30 dollar per night increase, with little change. The towels, and bed linens are always nice and clean. Breakfast is excellent. Thank you.

Number 1 I didn’t like it that they removed the Bible. I don’t like that the price has increased by 30 dollars per night, with little change. The last two times that we stayed there it was freshly painted, which made a huge difference on the smell in the room’s, I don’t like it that the walls and and all the furniture is so dusty, and dirty. The 30 dollar increase would be worth it, if the mattresses were replaced, that the beds weren’t so loud and noisy, and the furniture, lamps and floor’s would get cleaned. And that the lamps had all the bulbs in, and the plug-ins would get replaced. If we want to plug in our phone’s to charge, some plug’s don’t work, and the chargers just fall out,or they are so loose,it hard to get our phone charged. If the price was still around $70 to 90 per night, like it was the first 2 times we rented a hotel room there, it was worth it as it was. But a 30 dollars or more increase per night, with only freshly painted walls, to me it’s to much. Don’t mean to upset you.and no hard feelings. I’m all about honesty. Yet having said all of that, and pointing it all out, is not going to hinder me to not rent a room from Sexony Hotel. We love and appreciate and enjoy our stay at sexony hotel. Thank for your kindness and your service.

I stayed at this place 2 years ago, it was great. It has detoriated alot since then. It was not as clean, noisy and it looked like people were living there. I will not stay there again.

My room was available via Bookings & it was on the ground floor so I could drive up to it.

I had no remote in my room for the TV & it took a while to get one.

It was conveniently located and reasonably priced.

The cleanliness was an issue especially the bathroom.

Excellent value for the price, clean room, friendly staff, great location, lots of privacy. We didn't end up using the jacuzzi but it's cool that it's there!

The only thing we weren't crazy about was that the heater was very noisy and would stop and start a lot.

For the price of the room, the value was really good. Spacious, all the required necessities of a hotel room.

Our rating would have been MUCH higher except for one major flaw: there was no security latch on the hotel room door. There was just the flimsy door handle lock - the kind you might find on a bathroom door in your home. This made the room feel very unsafe. I would not have left any valuables in the room alone, nor would I consider this property safe or appropriate for many travellers who are travelling alone. In short, if someone wanted to get into the "locked" room, one solid kick or shoulder check would likely force the door open. Not secure.

The staff and room were good, as was the location. Good value! Other guests were outside playing music and yelling until too late at night. On our second night at 3:30am someone outside was banging on our HVAC and yelling something loudly into it in a language we could not understand. On the first night the quests in the adjacent room were yelling until midnight. We got very little sleep while there and that made the stay disappointing.

Fairly economical; staff was really friendly! Rooms weren’t anything fancy, but they got the job done when just needing a place to lay our heads for the night. It’s also conveniently located across the street from a Tim Horton’s, so we had some good coffee for the road in the morning (since we had to leave before the motel’s breakfast started).

The sofa bed didn’t have sheets on it; it looked like it had seen better days. I’m sure the staff would have provided sheets had we asked, but we had our own blankets and so just made that work. Minor repairs needed here and there to walls and sink faucet. King bed was a tad lumpy, and the room smelled a little stale.

The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was limited, but acceptable.

The television did not work properly. It came on, but only showed 1 channel, which was broadcasting reruns of "Let's Make a Deal" from the 1970s or 1980s. The remote did not change the channels; it would only turn the television and cable box on or off and increase or decrease the sound.

These rooms have very thin walls. The other guests are WAY TOO Noisy and disrespectful to their surroundings. The staff will assist with your complaint of the noisy neighbors, but it is too late, the damage is done. Booking.com has under the General description.... TWICE- that the rooms are sound proof ?! This is NOT true and deceiving.

Bedding was dirty. Slept on top. Microwave was filthy. Fridge froze everything. Cold draft in side of door. Smelled stale. Noisy heater. It woke me up when it came on.

Easy to get to. The rooms are very spacious. It’s a good location. Had everything you needed. One light wasn’t working properly, but wasn’t a big concern. Was clean, but could be cleaned up a little bit better as the grout was old in the bathrooms and the tile floors
