Booked for private onsen.

Private onsen was basically a hot tub and the room was dated and worn, although not actually part of the hotel bookings are made through them. Buffet evening meal held in large open room food was OK but not special.

Wonderful accommodations and extremely hospitable staff.

I think the tattoo policy is a bit silly. Paying customers should be entitled to the same amenities regardless of what they choose to put on their own body.

Excellent dinner with fantastic range of food and drinks, breakfast, foot bath, very nice staff, shuttle bus. Comfortable bed (Japanese style room-nice experience). Complimentary water and sweets in the room. Easy reservation of spa treatment.

The hotel is run down, the ventilation holes look dirty and unmaintained, there is mold in the bathroom, on the windows, in the family onsen. The carpets in the hallways and on the stairs look dirty, there is a strange smell in the room and toilet. We were with a child who has asthma - luckily we only stayed one night. The hotel looks much better in the pictures than it is and this is the first time in Japan that we have experienced something like this. I would not book this hotel again and I would not recommend it.

Le personnel adorable et très présent, le buffet du petit déjeuner et dîner très varié.

L’établissement est vieillot et à besoin d’être rénové, c’est le cas pour les chambres surtout les salles de bain mais également les parties communes. La piscine n’est pas dans l’hôtel même et surtout ferme à 17h ce qui n’est précisé nulle part.

Avevamo chiesto di allestire letti futon ma si sono dimenticati. L'onsen privata nella struttura adiacente (da prenotare e a pagamento) non é all'altezza di quella che avevamo in camera. se si hanno aspettative alte per occasioni speciali es. Anniversari non la consiglierei, hanno solo due letti separati e Ristorante a buffet, buono ma di una qualsiasi catena di grandi hotel

The onsens were really nice. Good massage chairs inside the changing areas for extra relaxation. The breakfast buffet had a good spread, eastern and western, suitable for all palates.

Was quite a distance to walk from the station, and lacked food options around the hotel. We went to a nearby onsen that required us to purchase tickets for entry in order to find a place to have dinner.

部屋のお風呂が蜘蛛の巣がはっていて、掃除がされてなかった。 食事のバイキング最中に子供に貸してくれたベビーチェアが汚かった

Ryokan traditionnel avec réservation d'un onsen privé. Nuits sur des futons. Buffet du matin et du soir très copieux et large choix avec des plats japonais et occidentaux. Kimonos fournis. C'était très bien !

Comme chambre traditionnelle, pas de volet, donc jour à partir de 4h30 avec exposition sud. Pour rejoindre le centre-ville, le premier bus est à partir de 9h. Avant, il faut prendre un taxi ou à pied (20min). À pied sans valise, agréable. Avec valise, plus physique car des dénivelés et pas de trottoir.

夕食の内容が良いと家族に好評でした。小さな孫達も、かき氷やジュース、ケーキを喜んでいました。 アルコールフリーも大人たちに好評でした。

プールの使用が２０日からというのが残念でした。当初１８，１９日に利用と考えていたので。夏休みに入り、かつ３連休なのになぜ利用可能にしないのか？大変残念でした。ホテルの案内にプールありとあり、そこには２０日から開始というのが無かったように思います。予約後、いろいろ質問している中で知りました。残念です。 もう１件、３部屋１５名で利用したのですが、全員揃うまでレストランに入れないというのが不自由でした。せめて部屋単位にしてもらえればと思いました。

Very outdated and a horrible smell throughout.

施設の雰囲気も良かったですし、客室露天風呂も最高でした。 ReFaのドライヤー類、シャンプーなどがあったのも女性としてはとてもテンション上がりました！！ 今回ご飯美味しいところ＆客室露天風呂あるところで探していたのですが、ご飯もとても美味しく、お酒も飲み放題な所に感動しました！！ 更に誕生日のサプライズをお願いしていたのでそれにも満足でしたが、チェックアウトの際にお菓子とお手紙を貰えるとは思っておらず、彼氏共々ビックリしました！！ ここはリピート確定だね と話しているので、また是非利用させて頂きたいと思います！！

We had the buffet dinner both night we were there. The food was excellent, lot of choice and very tasty.

I wanted to book a kaiseki dinner, but by the time I checked in, there was no available reservation for either night I was there. I wasn't made aware before check-in that I needed a reservation for the kaiseki dinner. If I knew that, I would've made an effort to get a reservation.

Great onsen, superb very large selection at buffet breakfast.

Decor feels a bit dated

Old facilities, needs renovation! We expected traditional dinner but it was buffet style , a bit disappointing considering that we booked especially for an authentic experience

The dinner buffet was excellent.

It is further away from Hakone Yumoto station.

I liked it all worth the money

The only thing I did not like but it’s the way it is, I was not allowed by the public baths because of my tattoo but I did have patches for them, they just said no they did not give me a chance to show them but this is common

The Onsen was amazing! The buffet breakfast and dinner were also amazing! The staff were all so nice. The gift shop was dupe cute.

We didn’t know how far it was from the bottom of the hill so when we first got there we walked. The hotel is one of the farthest from the Hakone Yumoto station. We walked up to the top of the hill for 25 minutes with our luggage. The google map said it would take 18 minutes to walk there but it took much longer. It was rough. I wish we had known they run local buses/shuttles, which is not shown on google map.

The view from our room was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed the private bath and well equipped room. The buffet was decent and had a lot of food options.

The food quality could have been a little higher. Everything was fine and there were a lot of options but the quality tasted mediocre.

The views are amazing and staff were always friendly. They had a lot of options at the buffet. The outdoor bath was nice.

The indoor bath wasn’t as well maintained and the facility and room itself seem to not be well maintained. There’s a strange odor in the room and the futon beds were not very comfortable. I feel like the pictures make the place look way better than it actually is.

We got a room with a private open-air bath, which was fabulous. Highly recommend.

从箱根汤本徒步到酒店不算远，房间内尤其满意洗手间，不仅有吹风机还有直发板和卷发棒，甚至洗护用品也基本被满足到。

浴室是没有门的，天气较冷的时候洗澡有点折磨，能理解露天风吕的意义，但至少希望淋浴的地方可以加一扇简易门或防风廉。其次室外包括浴室很多虫，浴缸上方几个角落都有数个蜘蛛网以及很多蜘蛛，对于怕虫人士来说非常不友好。

Riesige Auswahl beim Frühstück und Abendbrot mit allem was man sich nur wünschen kann inklusive Sushi und alkoholischer Getränke. 2 Onsen sind verfügbar, Public und Private, beide sind gut wobei der Private Onsen mit verschiedenen Becken überrabend ist. In einem weiteren Bereich gibt es noch Massagesessel.

Schwierig am Samstag Morgen ein Taxi zu bekommen, so mussten wir zu Fuß zum Bahnhof laufen. Bus vom Hotel fährt erst nach 09:00.

最高にサービスするスタッフがよかったです。お部屋も綺麗で何もかも必要なものが揃っていてエスプレッソマシーンまで！温泉も広く気持ちよく入れておすすめです。食事も美味しい(あまり期待してなかったのでびっくり)またリピートします。悪い点が見つからない素敵な温泉ホテルでした。

Room was incredibly clean and comfortable. Some reviews mention that the rooms are dated, we did not feel they were dated, they have a traditional charm. We stayed in the 33m Suisai Japanese Western room. The in-room bath fits two adults perfectly. The only shower in the room is the the outdoor shower by the bath, which we absolutely loved. The bath products were also amazing. Would 100% love to stay here again.

I couldn’t use the onsen cause of tattoos . Breakfast closed too early and no shops close by to eat.

L’hotel è un po datato ma fa ancora una bella figura. La stanza era grande, spaziosa, pulita. Ho apprezzato sia l’onsen (terme) dell’hotel (più che altro per la poltrona massaggiante) sia quello della struttura convenzionata raggiungibile in 3 minuti a piedi (si esce in accappatoio). La vasca per i piedi la sera poi offre un panorama pazzesco. La cena e colazione erano a buffet , c’era molta varietà e ci è piaciuta ma la qualità era così così. Per girare Hakone é abbastanza comodo, a 15/20 min a piedi trovi le fermate del bus per girare la zona.

Avevo letto di una navetta ma non vedendola alla stazione alla fine ho provato a farla a piedi, non fatelo con le valigie é massacrante. Consiglio all’hotel di mandare gli orari nel messaggio di pre welcome del giorno prima. In camera io non ho trovato gli asciugamani per il viso e per il corpo da usare nel bagno della camera, c’era solo in salotto il cestino con l’asciugamano grande da onsen. Ho chiamato la reception ed ho provato a spiegare ma parlano poco inglese e mi continuavano a dire che in Giappone funziona così e secondo me non mi hanno capita. Inizialmente mi hanno chiuso la telefonata in faccia, poi alla fine mi hanno portato spazientiti un secondo asciugamano da spa quindi comunque non quello di cui avevo bisogno.. Non so quindi se veramente qui ti danno un solo asciugamano da usare sia per l’onsen sia per farti dopo la doccia.. non credo.. quindi secondo me bisognerebbe che parlassero un po meglio l’inglese per evitare queste situazioni.

The atmosphere, it was very quiet place.

We got room other then what we ordered, the staff said it's because what showed in booking isn't right.

Hotel Okada had many things to offer. Our room was amazing and we got to choose our choice of yukatas to relax in. The bath on the balcony was perfect after a long day of exploring. They had public onsens as well as well as a foot bath .

Pokój wyposażony w taki sposób że wystarczyłoby przyjechać ze swoją bielizną i ładowarką do telefonu, tak to wszystko jest na miejscu. Dodatkowo wanna z gorącym źródłem w pokoju to zdecydowany must have pobytu. Relaks i wygoda.

Nie ma takich rzeczy, wszystko było genialne. Jedynie warto byłoby zamieścić w pokoju jakąś niewielką broszurkę w języku angielskim dotyczącą zasad w hotelu, np czy jest dozwolone chodzenie po hotelu w yukatach dostępnych w pokojach. Dla osób nowych w tym świecie może być to niejasne.

Keine sichtbaren Tattoos im Onzen erlaubt wie in Japan üblich. Tagesausflüge können zwecks Transport ein wenig kompliziert sein aber es gibt Taxis

The staff are absolutely lovely. One front desk lady helped us so much to book another private onsen since the one at the hotel was booked out on the day of our stay. Hotel is also very nice, tatami room provides an authentic experience. Arigatou gozaimasu!

The views of the surrounding valley are beautiful, and the sauna options on site were incredible!

The room was very spacious for the YUAN selection, onsen was amazing. Full of amenities and generous on the top up even requested no housekeeping needed, they packed everything for us each day! Breakfast was a great spread, full of Japanese traditional options. We enjoyed each day!

The location is a little far, away lot of small hills to walk up to. Not convenient for elderly, but short distance to take taxi from station, or to wait for the shuttle bus for 200 yen each trip! Make sure to buy some small snacks with you during the day, as nearby has nothing much, only a small convenience store in 6-8 mins walking distance.

一部の温泉は朝9時までだったので入浴できずに残念だった 敷地内の駐車場が満車のため、道路沿いのエリアを指定された

The breakfast and dinner buffets were incredible, staff were all friendly and helpful and the traditional bed was surprisingly comfortable. Spent a lot of time in the hot spring bath. It was a nice walk along the river from the station

Repas style buffet mais très qualitatif. La chambre était très spacieuse même pour 3 personnes. Le personnel était toujours à l'écoute. et l'endroit est très calme, A proximité de certain chemin de trail si vous aimez faire quelques randonnées.

There was a mistake with our booking - we were 4 and the booking was for 2. We were charged the same amount we'd already paid for the room for our two children (one 10, one over 18) that were staying in the same room with us. Room was still setup for 2, no sheets, no towels, 2 kimonos. A bit disappointing.

The location and setting is simply spectacular no question. The access to up to 13 hot springs was great. We had the nice tatami mats and futons.

I found it quite tired and a bit faded. The windows were worn. Staff were fine. The shuttle bus is over subscribed and hard to get on. Though the room slept up to 5 people, I had booked for 3. We called ahead to see if we could add another person and were quoted 50,000 yen for the privilege for two nights!

The staff were fantastic. The foot bath on level 8 was also a highlight!

Beautiful location and amazing accommodation. Had our own private onsen which meant we could both relax whilst our toddler slept. Great on-site buffet dinner and breaky and very accommodating of our toddler. Lovely staff.

We loved the Japanese room. It's true that the hotel is a bit old, but we loved it anyway. Vintage japanese style. Very authentic!

Stayed in a western room with a private bath. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Lots of amenities and extras provided. Staff were really helpful and friendly. 20 minute walk from yumoto station, but this is mainly uphill to the hotel. Games room and karaoke available on site.

Could do with a little updating, carpet on stairs is a little work etc Buffet for dinner is a little pricey in comparison to rating at local restaurants.
