Good location and Comfortable rooms
Love the bar, the location, the decor in public areas, great helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast
It was very hot when we were there and air con didn’t get cold enough. The restaurant area should now have had its makeover, it needed it. Room was tired. Parking spaces too narrow for modern cars
Location
No Parking!! Noisy by road entrance
Excellent Location and Staff
Showers are on the smaller side
Having been very ill during the night before my stay, I decided to cancel through my bookings.com app, but family made it possible to still come to the hotel. I called and explained my situation and the hotel staff went above and beyond to change my booking to suit my stay without any charges. I was overwhelmed at the understanding and generosity of the stafff on reception. It was such an important booking, as my son was over from the USA and we were meeting at the Harbour where we like to stay every year. The bar staff were equally friendly and accommodating.
Sanitary bags for ladies in the bathroom.
Handy location, tasty breakfast, friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good gym.
Good central position to the shops
Lovely staff, super helpful, room was ready early, lovely and clean,
Rooms were dark, noisy at night from club that is attached, was a fight outside, doors to rooms were noisy late at night.
Spa and feel of the place is like going on a holiday it has a lovely relaxed resort feel and as I fly down to see family I love I can recover in the spa area and make a whole weekend of my visit as well as enjoy some time to myself. The staff on reception are very friendly and helpful. When we reported the air con issue we were brought some ice and a fan very quickly during some very hot weather.
Our air con if there was any wasn’t working and the room was unbearably hot. We were brought ice and a fan quick but what we discovered was the bathroom heater was on! It made it uncomfortable to sleep but it was pretty hot weather. I think it would have been good that Roman were being checked by maintenance during this hot spell to ensure guests were comfortable before.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating ... we were staying during house renovations for several nights and stayed in a beautiful suite with living room and work space for my husband and then returned to a deluxe room, which was equally as nice and spacious. We dined in the hotel on numerous occasions and every meal was fabulous.
Nothing !
They were very nice and accommodating!! The reception staff realised we had just gotten married and upgraded us to a nicer room and gave us a glass of Prosecco!
Great location with good restaurants and pubs nearby. Friendly staff, comfortable lounge and bar area. Comfortable bed with lots of space in room.
Black tiles and no mirror lights in bathroom make it hard to shave
The room was clean, large, and had a comfortable bed. The Breakfast felt generous, with multiple options and a comfortable seating area. The only thing was missing an egg chef! I was grateful that the reception staff let us leave our car in the parking for a few more hours after checkout so that we could complete our plans in Guildford without stress or additional costs before leaving.
Didn't like the parking situation. You need to pay extra (18gbp), but you aren't guaranteed a space. Alternatively you can park at the adjacent parking lot, but you have to pay and I wasn't able to download the right app for some reason. The parking spaces are very narrow so you're also depending on the
Location was great, hotel was beautiful and clean. The room presentation was great and good bathroom. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was very good during interactions.
The room was strange, bedside lamps that dont turn on, meaning the only lights at night were the ceiling lights. The mirror to get dressed/make up/hair is at the entrance door with minimal lighting and no plug sockets, hairdryer and straighnerd had to be used without a mirror at the other end of the room. The bathroom was lovely but again inadequate lighting for make up/dressing. Music from the bar during the evening could be heard in our room, not a quiet/comfortable night. Parking was more expensive than paying for the standard car park.
Very clean comfy hotel. Lovely staff and excellent food
Nothing
When we checked in the receptionist was more interested in the phone ran checking us in
Good facilities
Look down on people stuck up Only for certain clientel Paying for parking greed
Great bar and staff
Great location, the room was a great size. Food was very nice
Nothing to complain about
Lovely quirky hotel. In heart of Guildford. Good for cinema G. Live and Stick Park. Nice bar and restaurant. Lovey breakfast. All good.
Nothing !
Nice standard like the other harbour hotels and great location for popping to the shops. Nice bar and restaurant area. Rooms were nice and spacious and beds were large
We were travelling with a baby and the booking system wasn’t very good for logging this. They put an extra bed in our room as it we had an older child with us. They removed it when we asked though. They phoned us as soon as we got in our room, so the phone was ringing when we came through the door and when we didn’t answer they wrang again. It made entering our room stressful - especially with a baby and I’d recommend they drop that service. They can ask later.
Breakfast good. Room really nice and clean. very well located for Guildford
nothing was bad
It’s super convenient, and good environment.
We got one of the newly renovated room, which is spacious and great, it’s just you can smell it’s newly renovated, and the windows doesn’t open widely, which is the drawback.
the breakfast is great, and the restaurant manager is very friendly. The staff at the restaurant are all very helpful.
Very central
Rooms are very dark
Loved the quality of the bed, bed linen and duvet in particular.
No riser shower hose in the shower enclosure.
Useful central location for G Live event.
Bar is a touch on the small side for such a central location!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We celebrated my in-laws' 25th wedding anniversary with an overnight stay at the Harbour Hotel & Spa in Guildford, and I wanted to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team for making it such a special occasion. From the moment I contacted the hotel, the staff could not have been more helpful. They kindly allowed me access to their room early so that I could decorate it before my in-laws arrived, which meant so much to us and helped create a truly memorable surprise. The attention to detail was exceptional. The room was beautifully prepared and I took champagne and a cake, and the thoughtful touches from the housekeeping team were simply lovely. Walking into a room with swan towels and rose petals on the bed made the celebration feel incredibly special and personal. What stood out most was the genuine kindness and care shown by every member of staff we dealt with. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and it was clear that everyone wanted to help create a wonderful experience for my in-laws. Thank you all for helping us celebrate such an important milestone. You played a big part in creating memories that will be cherished for years to come, and we are so grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend Harbour Hotel & Spa Guildford and look forward to visiting again in the future.
Excellent was perfect for what we needed.
Nothing
Location and beds were great
The spa was very small, and hydro pool not working
Lovely modern hotel, spa visit is a must !!
Spa access not included in cost, neither is parking and we weren’t aware until arrival. Gym hasn’t got any dumbells or a bench press / barbell. Could definitely do with losing some cardio kit for these gym essentials
Le luci nella camera da bagno troppo basse da non potersi fare la barba in più la doccia piccola è solo con il soffione
Room: We were very lucky to be given an upgrade. My sister -in- law explained it was the anniversary of her husband's death twenty years ago, and to enable myself and partner to be next to her room, shared with her daughter, we had upgrades and our room was deluxe! We were especailly grateful to David from reception who organised the upgrades and left a card and cake for Karen sending the hotel's best wishes at a sad time for the family. It is touching, at such a busy time for the hotel, the hotel paid such attention to detail. Spa: pool was refreshing even in the rain! Breakfast: great variety of things to eat in spacious surroundings.
Having to park in the local car park! The duvet was very thick for the summer season though the aircom kept us cool. The lockers in the Spa! Even with help we couldnt get the code system to work
Handy location. Friendly staff who helped us celebrate a birthday. Comfy bed.
We could hear the swimming pool or spa facilities from our room. Not a problem for us. We didn’t have breakfast.
we paid to upgrade to newly refurbished room but it didn't seem especially special. There was a stain on the carpet and infact we were very dissapointed with the upgradem just felt like a normal basic room. The receptionist who checked us in was very helpful and friendly, 10/10 🙂unfortunately I didn't catch his name.
The bed creaked when we moved and there was only 1 pillow each, to be honest the premier inn was more comfortable.
Beds were comfortable, room spotless, staff excellent (particularly David on reception), breakfast top notch.
Overpriced, but that's no doubt down to being a BH Weekend.
Everything from start to finish
Nothing the place was unbelievable
Love the bar and lobby, breakfast was also lovely and worth the extra money. The room was nice, but.. was the same price as better hotels London.
Our Window was broken and taped up, room 120. Aircon was good... But we could have had fresh air. The carpark is small and has very limited bays for the hotel and it's easy to park in the wrong spot and get a fine by the council, that happened to two people staying at the same time as us.
The hotel is really pretty.
The room did not have a fridge.
The Staff were very helpful and pleasant, the Hotels location is very good for Guildford Town centre and the facilities were excellent.
The car parks spaces are very tight for Modern Cars.
A lovely central location and a wide range of features! I walked in and I was struck by the bright and spacious venue. check in as a breeze but Leila was incredible. Helpful, knowledgable and also so friendly. She advised on the different restaurants and bars. Even asking if I wanted to book anything ahead of time. Incredible!
Fabulous hotel in a great location. Perfect if going to a concert at G Live. Polite, friendly staff and super clean, modern rooms. Would highly recommend.
Maria was the best!!! She had such good vibes, was so nice and recommended the best items on the menu for my indecisive dad. Would come again just for her service!!
Location was great. Walking distance to high street. Very helpful with arranging day taxis and pick ups. Breakfast was not very diverse but hearty enough with good coffee.
Room was quite small especially if you have multiple pieces of luggage. Our room overlooked the outdoor seating of the hotel restaurant which meant there was music playing through the day. Also cell reception was poor in our room.
How comfy and welcoming it makes you feel
Inexplicably, there wasn’t enough towels in the room for 2 people. Was told when we checked out we should have asked for more towels by why is this not done as a matter of course!
Central position
Very hot in room
We stayed four nights and enjoyed the hotel facilities. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast had good choice options, served as a buffet within a pleasant dining room. We had a family reunion in the bar and the service excellent. Our feeling was that the costs were good value for money.
What an amazing experience! We were made so welcome the minute we walked in; Oscar and Cory walked us through the menu and made some excellent recommendations - the steaks were very well cooked and the sides were excellent. We also had some snacks on the terrace - the calamari with ailoi was fantastic. Maria was our server in the restaurant and she was an absolute star. Younger people maybe have a bad rep these days but she is the epitope of a hard working customer service-oriented person! I’m London based and it was the best service I’ve had outside of Mayfair! 100% would go back
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, room clean and spacious
Got upgraded to king room
Nothing
Checking in was disorganised. Should have a proper queuing system to go to the next available receptionist, rather than having a group of people in front of the desk.people. No hairdryer in room. Leaking shower hose over bath.
Comfortable bed, great location and staff were super accommodating
Lights in room
Arrived to be met by David on reception who helped us through check-in, booked the cars into the car park, offered us upgrades and breakfast which we added on. 3rd time staying at the hotel so nothing really a surprise. Staff really nice and helpful thoughout the whole hotel which for us is more important than the facilities. Will stay there again
Unfortunately, there was no sea view! We only stayed for one night as we were flying out of Gatwick the next day so we found it to be within a good distance to the airport.
We decided to book the Harbour Hotel for one night whilst attending a gig at GLive. The service was outstanding from check in and throughout. Particular mention should go to the restaurant and bar staff and to Ona who was lovely and looked after us so well. Will definitely go back if we get a chance.
I honestly cannot thank the team at Harbour Hotel Guildford enough for helping me organise such a special bride-to-be afternoon tea for my friend at the weekend. From the very beginning, they were incredibly helpful, supportive and accommodating, making what could have been a very stressful process feel so much easier! When we came in to view the suite, the team were knowledgeable, welcoming and so accommodating. I communicated with Emily who was fantastic throughout over email and phone who took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel confident that we were in safe hands. On the day itself, I was feeling quite anxious about everything coming together, but the team were absolutely amazing. They supported me throughout the whole event and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The staff we had on the day were genuinely 10/10 — Leah and Chans were fantastic! They were attentive, friendly, helpful and made such a positive difference to the whole experience. I’d also like to give a special mention to David on the desk, who was so warm, friendly and accommodating. Every interaction with him made us feel welcome and well looked after. The whole team really went above and beyond, and I couldn’t have asked for better support in making the afternoon special. It was such an important occasion for us, and the Harbour Hotel team helped make it one we’ll remember for all the right reasons. A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially Emily, Leah, Chans and David. You were absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend Harbour Hotel Guildford to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The hotel itself was lovely, light & airy. Bar area had a nice atmosphere
The only disappointing thing was the extortionate charge for the car park. At £18 per day, I’m not sure how that price can be justified when you’re already paying £150 a night for the room. Also, you are charged an additional £50 upon check-in, which is refunded provided there are no issues. Usually, a card would simply be pre-authorised for this amount, but The Harbour actually takes the payment initially, which I found a little unusual.
David, at the reception made us welcome, checked that the room would be suitable for me. : )) Friendly and helpful staff.
Great location, everything you need including spa facilities.
Shower tray in our room could do with new silicone as a little bit black around the corners.
Location was great. Staff were welcoming. Room was a twin quite small but comfy. Air con was good. Could have done with a mini fridge. Bathroom products were lovely.
Everything was good.
Central clean and comfortable
Nothing
Location and lovely welcoming check-in
Size of the room and height of the bed. Room felt oversized and not well configured with the furniture available. Window wouldn't open, so felt extremely claustrophobic at times.
Location was perfect. Atmosphere was relaxed. Rooms were very comfortable. Cleanliness was exceptional. Dayo provided excellent service during our stay and the amenities were on point. Loved the bath.
Husband and I spent two nights at this great hotel. The staff were fantastic especially the first one we met. David on Reception checked us in and was absolutely charming and friendly. We loved how he remembered our names every time he saw us - quite a talent for such a busy job! He made us feel really valued and even shook our hands when we left! The staff at breakfast were brilliant too - from the nice Czech man who helped me with gluten free bread etc etc to the young man who cleared our table - just sorry we didn’t catch their names. And as for the array of food and drink for breakfast, we were spoilt for choice! Our room was quiet, as requested, super comfy beds with spotless sheets and carpet etc. The bathroom with its completely separate bath and shower cubicle was ideal as one of us cannot use a tub very well. Lots of lovely thick towels and toiletries too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel - it’s colourful and bright with a quirky double bed and pink moped in the foyer! Hope to find an excuse to go again!
Had an amazing two nights here! This is the second time here in a month! Would like to give a massive shout out to Dayo on reception!! He is kind and extremely helpful and made our stay even more amazing! He is a credit to the hotel!!! So thankyou! Will be returning here again very soon!! :-))
Location and staff
The bed was too soft and the room was too hot
The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in
Nothing
Excellent staff throughout the hotel made to feel very welcome . Room great size and spotless.
In all other Harbour Hotels we have stayed at we have never had to pay to use pool and we always had complimentary gin in the room
The bar staff were absolutely amazing, special mention to Katherine, Sofia, Hazel, Aiden xx
Great location, right on the edge of Guildford town
The room was a little grubby, only one hand towel was provide, despite the booking was for two people and no bath mat, so stepping out of shower the floor was very slippery when wet. The show head needs descaling so it runs proper and the soap dispenser was empty. Very disappointing stay
Very pleasant stay. Decor was lovely. David at reception was very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
N/a
Lovely hotel, nice bar and restaurant area
No fridge in the room It wasnt made clear that you had to book even to use the pool/jacuzzi in the spa so when we got there the spa was full which was disappointing
The room was great, very well fitted out, nice decor and very comfortable bed.
The aircon could have been colder as the room was very warm
Great central tucked away elegant restaurant with superg service and well-managed. Food was excellent. Manager Rhys the manager made the whole place and experience excellent, friendly, attentive and helpful
Third stay at this amazing hotel can’t rate the staff highly enough from Sophie in events to David on reception and Leona for an amazing massage. We will be back again soon!
Room, staff and food.
Only one thing I did not like. We were in the restaurant and the food was lovely, however there was very loud non - descript music playing and and this hastened our exit from the restaurant, which is a pity as the food was excellent.
Special thanks to Rebecca, she was super accommodating & she is a phenomenal asset to the team.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Nothing
Large room, good breakfast, clean, friendly staff
Could do with some updates eg plug sockets to usb ports
The hotel was airy and light. I was working in the hotel and as it was a beautiful sunny day, I had lunch outside both days. The bedroom itself was lovely and comfortable and i appreciated the complimentary bottles of water. The bathroom was stunning!
The bed was very high! I am only 5'2 so it was a bit of a jump to get on.
Love it. The End Good location, huge room. Amazing art
Zero
Great location, large rooms for UK
Great location and good food
Charge to use the pool
Be wary that the cheaper rooms are very old fashioned. Think silver and red 1992. However, when I queried how diff it was from the website, they changed rooms for me immediately without hesitation
Pool was TINY and smelly and annoying that you have to pay to use even as a guest. Food extremely basic, room service not good at all. Poor quality
Perfectly positioned and stylish.,
Been several times. Familiarity. Great breakfast.
Room was a refurb. Spa’s pool closed for maintenance
El lobby, el restaurante muy acogedor! El personal muy atento
Staff incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the hotel. Restaurant and bar staff hilarious! They all did a magnificent job putting up with our big hen group! Room was beautiful and bed was extremely comfortable. And the spa…HIGHLY recommend! Luxurious, very regularly cleaned and temple spa toiletries!
The hotel is modern and clean. The rooms are of a high quality and the bathrooms are spacious and modern. The breakfast was excellent.
I didn't like paying £18 for parking when I wasn't staying 24 hours. That seems too expensive. The coffee from the machine at breakfast was luke warm.
Location was.perfect. Facilities were top class
Bedroom was lovely
Paying to park! 18 pounds Paying to use the pool another 10 PP
Clean
David in reception was excellent
Nice relaxed vibe staff was friendly an helpful went above an beyond
Big thankyou to David at reception he was very friendly and made our stay even more memorable
Atmosphere and aesthetics
Spa staff seemed to have an issue with us not having booked the spa, but allowed us in anyway. We are made to feel like a problem, if we were allowed in, why explain it fully booked and we should have booked? Through booking.com this wasnt an option. Guy who was on Sunday morning was much nicer.
The beds were very comfy
Reception staff fantastic easy parking. Room lovely bed very comfortable. . Spa facilities great and staff very helpful. Great location. Lovely atmosphere in hotel. Will definitely be back
