Made to feel very welcome and totally enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room with everything we needed. Delicious breakfast - full Hatch and vegan meal. Dog walking near by. Wished we could stay longer!

Cost and location

Arrived on a night (Thursday) when only pizza on the menu.

Breakfast was great, love eggs royale and a pot of tea in the morning ! Yum

It was really unfortunate that there was very loud music and shouting late at night even though it said clearly that the pub was closing at 11pm. The guest who were staying on the wrong side of the building really struggled . We had to ask twice to cut the music and the number for our of hours didn’t answer.

We had a lovely room it was very comfortable and everything worked. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Overall we were very impressed and would recommend this establishment to others but would suggest booking well ahead as rooms are limited.

Location is perfect to explore places like Forde Abbey and Hestercombe gardens, and close to Taunton. Dog friendly. Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful, especially Rebecca who was juggling bar, restaurant bookings and accommodation bookings. Until the next time..!

Well styled furnishings, people incredibly friendly - great breakfast.

The room was very comfortable - big, with a newly installed looking bathroom. It had a large TV, and good coffee and tea facilities in room. The staff were excellent - all very friendly and helpful. The bar area was busy with friendly locals, and the drinks are not overpriced. Everything about the property was well kept and I liked the decor.

Sadly the kitchen was closed on a Monday, the night I was staying; and there were not any other dinner options that were walking distance at 8:30pm.

The Hatch Inn was in a perfect spot for our overnight stay on our way for a weeks holiday in Cornwall.The accomodation was clean and tidy, the food enjoyable and the staff were very nice.

I cannot praise The Hatch Inn enough. The room was amazing, large, nicely furnished with a huge lovely bathroom. Excellent food in the evening and a great breakfast. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Together with good parking, a really nice stop over for us on our way home from visiting friend's

Yard at the back for sitting out enjoying a drink maybe could have been a bit more tidier. Lots of bits n pieces lying about but wasn’t really a bother just an observation really.

Clare the host was warm and friendly, showed us to our room and explained about choosing breakfast options. I could not fault anything, breakfast was gorgeous and the staff could not do enough for you. Plenty of parking and convenient to our needs. Highly recommend, I will definitely be staying again when passing through.

This place is the perfect pub/inn to stay at. The beer is great, the facilities are great, the food is really above the normal stuff you often get in UK pubs. The staff 9and the locals at the bar0 were all friendly, Great dinned, great breakfast.

Good location for a stopover on the way to Cornwall. Modern and fresh decor, really lovely bathroom. The food was also excellent, stayed for dinner and had the included breakfast the next morning. Lots of options and a good quality.

There was live music on a Saturday night that was really loud up in the room! I could have gone down and listened to it I understand. It wasn’t overly a problem but if you want a peaceful evening best to check when they have live music on.

Nice room and restaurant I usually don’t order steak as I am always disappointed but I complemented the chef on possibly the best sirloin steak I’ve ever had. It was thick and juicy and so tender Breakfast was delicious

Unfortunately I have disabilities and really struggled with the stairs. But there is a good stair rail and I managed There is a lovely little shop on the property with good quality goody things for gifts

Exceptionally dog friendly - with very friendly humans too. We had a room with plenty of seating and a beautiful bathroom. A real treat to be able to stay above where we had a tasty dinner. And breakfast was delicious.

The Hatch is a lovely pub with a big car park which is always a bonus. We stayed there as we were attending a party at the village hall which was only a few minutes walk away! Couldn’t fault anything, thank you

Cosy atmosphere, very friendly & fun staff.Parking at the back. Tasty dinner. Very accommodating owner who accepted our 3 additional unplanned guests for dinner.

The stairs were ok for us but could be a little hard for older or less able guests. Breakfast could include the use of non dairy milk & greek yogurt.

The evening meal was lovely especially the dessert and the breakfast the next morning was delicious, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The room could do with a little TLC but it was comfortable and clean.

Really nice little pub and good, comfortable rooms. I think I was upgraded which was a nice touch and I had a lovely bathroom with a freestanding bath. The bed was very comfortable, room a nice temperature and there was fresh milk available in a fridge outside the room. Breakfast was lovely. Pretty location.

If you came from the main road, there was no sign at the front of the Hatch Inn that I had to go round to the back. I had to phone them to ask where I was meant to get in to check in.

From the initial welcome to the comfortable room and dining room bar, all our expectations were exceeded. This is a gem of a village pub and one we’d certainly return to if in the area again. We were there on Thursday, when their kitchen is closed but instead wood fired, stone baked pizzas are cooked to order on site - delicious. Breakfast was a delight but the staff make this place the success it obviously is; thank you

Location was perfect, close to where I needed to be with great parking. Had dinner in the restaurant which was beyond amazing, along with breakfast which was delicious with lots to choose from! Beautiful rooms, very cosy and comfortable!

This is a place we would certainly revisit if ever the opportunity presented itself. The hosts were wonderful, the atmosphere is relaxed and they accommodated our late arrival for breakfast with a smile. We were even offered a wash for our wet sport clothes and our running shoes were put in front of the fire without us asking. The breakfast was lovely and the dining room allowed us a quiet space to catch up on some work.
