Excellent breakfast. Hosts very welcoming. Interesting building. Shower worked very well and easy to understand settings. Not really an 8 but not quite a 9.
Not surrounded by farmland. No fruit at breakfast
rooms very cosy

Great character building Spacious room Friendly staff
Close to housing. We thought it was mote rural as it is a farm house. No fruit options for break
Location enroute to Cornwall
Shower was very restrictive
Listed property, comfy room
Freundliche und hilfsbereite Owner. Frühstück war lecker und frisch mit Liebe serviert worden.
Zimmer sind eher niedrig für 2m Leute, aber okay
The place was lovely so was the owners made you feel very welcome the breakfast was lovely rooms nice bed really comfortable would definitely go back again

The bedroom was marvellously spacious and comfortable as was the bed itself. The setting of Yallands despite being off a modern housing estate with a main road not far away is very rural and peaceful. Breakfast excellent with homemade marmalade and very satisfactory other elements. The proprietors are supportive and personable.
Lovely period property. Plenty of parking. Clear instructions to find it. Comfy beds, jacuzzi bath! Plentiful and tasty breakfast.
Third year staying at Yallands Farmhouse and lovely stay as usual. Comfortable room and the breakfast is wonderful. Chris and Karen, the hosts, are very friendly and hospitable
Nothing
Clean room with everything you need, good power shower, lovely breakfast and breakfast room.
It was very comfortable, characterful and Chris & Karen were very kind hosts. Breakfast was very good
Great location for hospital, historic building, good parking, friendly welcome.
Mattress cover didn't fit, kept popping off!
Struttura a conduzione familiare dove ti senti davvero ospite dei proprietari. Ottima colazione homemade.
Posizione un pochino isolata rispetto a città e luoghi dove mangiare
The breakfast was delicious. Freshly cooked and exactly what I wanted. The room was clean and comfortable. The owners were lovely and very helpful.
We had the quad room for 2 nights and wished we booked for longer. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable stay we've ever experienced. Our room even had a jaquzzi bath tub with over head shower it was a real treat. The room, bathroom, everything was absolutely spotless cannot fault it. The hosts were very charming and even accommodated an extra breakfast as we had a visitor on our holiday. Breakfast is beautiful freshly cooked and homemade preserves were absolutely delicious! The property has a stone barn and beams inside the cottage and real rustic country theme throughout, a real country farmhouse character; the history of the property is explained and a welcome file with every single bit of helpful info supplied for you from local maps, drs, out of hours help, supermarkets, hospital, laundrettes, everything you could need has been thought of. Cannot wait to return
It does give the impression when you read farm amd see images as out in the country but its very close to town, main roads and in a housing estate which feels peculiar but once you learn the history and admittedly do research on a map before u book like we never, it's not really that big of a problem it wasn't noisey at all and didn't affect our stay.
Lovely breakfast and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location was ideal for what we wanted to do in Taunton. The room was airy (welcome in the warm weather) and had most things we needed.
It would have been useful to have a surface to work on and a slightly bigger shower. We understand that this was dictated by the age of the building.
Yallands Farmhouse is located very near to Silk Mills park and ride on the east of Taunton, it is a short walk from the farmhouse, I was utilising the park and ride so this was a bonus. Parking at the farmhouse is safe and adequate for the number of guest bedrooms onsite. The breakfast offered was substantial eg cereal, yogurt, juice, water, toast with homemade jam, then a cooked breakfast or alternatives if wished, tea and coffee also - all were served fresh and quickly by the owners. I requested a quieter bedroom location which I was given and had two good nights sleep - the room had all that was needed.
New pillows as ones on the bed were lumpy and flat, which was a shame as the rest of the room provision was as expected.
Yallands farmhouse was very comfortable and clean , very quiet and relaxing , Karen made us feel at home , very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was lovely and brought to us by Chris who also was vary pleasant and helpful.

The property is in an ideal location, near a bus stop chip shop & a Morrison’s daily. Breakfast was lovely and we were made to feel very welcomed nothing was too much trouble.
Staff were lovely and friendly, it was quirky, we booked 3 rooms and they were all lovely, clean and comfortable, breakfast was great and served quick considering there was 7 of us
The outdoor seating area could have been nicer, it felt a bit neglected, however the garden was lovely and it was quiet
Great place to stay, comfortable and homely, friendly and welcoming hosts, a great choice of breakfast options. Location also good to access main routes around Taunton. Thank you both very much.
They served a delicious, cooked-to-order breakfast. The ground floor room was convenient and the history of the place was interesting. Our hosts were delightful.
The room was a bit small and cramped, as was the shower. The location was not as we expected. It was in amongst a housing development. It felt safe, just not scenic.
Lovely, stone cottage farm with a quite extensive garden to relax (though we didn't - as in Taunton for cricket!) and absolutely great, welcoming owners. Nice being able to park the car with no problems. The breakfast was simply brilliant, which all in all, made for excellent value for money.
The only downside is the location. It is in a really nice quiet area - and easy to locate when coming from the M5 into Taunton. Nevertheless, a good 1½ miles or so from the town centre - meaning a taxi is required there and back, bus services infrequent, so hardly an option.
Very welcoming and easy to find
Nothing
Comfortable and clean. Good breakfast
Lovely welcome, lovely friendly couple running it and we really enjoyed the breakfast. Nice, old fashioned farmhouse. Free parking - right outside our room.
The bed was way too soft and springy for our liking and it was slightly odd that the farmhouse was right in the middle of a housing estate! We thought it would be out in the countryside. In comparison to other places we stayed, it was quite expensive, but maybe that's Taunton for you.
Honest value for money, very basic rooms but suitable for an overnight stay
Looks tired and in need of upgrade and renovation
It was handy for visiting our friend there, it was quiet and it had lovely breakfasts and very nice hosts.
Just the pillows could do with upgrading! Pretty lumpy and not comfy to sleep on!
Ease and comfort

Lovely old farmhouse, very charming, good sized room, good shower. Close to shops and restaurants.
Found the bed a little uncomfortable.
3 of us stayed overnight in the Chestnut and Wisteria rooms. Karen and Chris were very welcoming hosts, and ensured our requirements were catered for. The breakfast was spot on, especially Chris's marmalade. My only negative, which is a personal thing, was that the mattress was too soft for my liking. Otherwise, an excellent stay and would certainly recommend Yallands.

What a fabulous find!. The lovely farmhouse exceeded my expectations and the hosts were friendly and chatty, making me feel most welcome. The lovely room was large and airy - looking out onto the lovely gardens. I had a feeling of tranquility and relaxation. The bed was very comfy and I had a good nights sleep. The fabulous mexican tortilla for breakfast was truly brilliant and my only sadness was that I was only staying one night. I would definitely recommend this lovely farmhouse to anyone wishing to get away from the usual run of the mill bed and breakfast or corporate overnighters. (nothing wrong with those - each to their own). Well situated for the station. Thank you for making me feel at ease and comfortable.
I can think of nothing that I felt was lacking. Everything exceeded my initial expectations Thank you.
A lovely old farmhouse, hidden away in NW Taunton, ideal for events at Norton Manor, as well as being close to town.
The bed was very uncomfortable.
Karen and Chris were very welcoming and friendly. The freshly cooked breakfast was really delicious.
It was very clean. In a great place as we were visiting our friends. Everyone was so friendly. We were able to arrive early. Breakfast was fantastic and served in the dining room. We had a fabulous stay. It was only one night but thank you so much.
Nothing
Breakfast was superb, one of the nicest breakfasts my friend had ever had. Good quality products used and very tasty. Host arranged a taxi for a trip we went on, as it was a celebration and I was able to have a drink without any worries. Room was brilliant, large and with this exceptionally warm weather a fan was provided which helped keep us cool. The jacuzzi looked brilliant though we didn't use it. We could help ourselves from the breakfast room to any extra milk, coffee, tea etc. The beds were comfortable. Chris carried our suitcases up to our room as my friend and |I have difficulty climbing stairs with heavy cases but we were made aware at time of booking that there was no lift. Hosts were very friendly and we wouldn't hesitate to return again if ever in that area in the future.
can't think of anything we didn't like, so in our eyes nowhere for any improvements. Yallands Farmhouse is just so full of character
Made to feel welcome by Chris and Karen.. room was clean. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. Stayed 3 nights Breakfast was great everyday. Was our 3rd time of stopping will go back again

The breakfast was good as usual All very clean and comfortable
Lovely property, delightful hosts, wonderful breakfast! Thanks very much for a great stay! If you could arrange better weather next time, that would be appreciated! 😂
Location and convenience.

Friendly and comfortable
It was all good
How easy it was to access from the motorway. Really friendly and welcoming owners Chris and Karen who take time to have a chat. Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast with Chris’s legendary home made marmalade. Would highly recommend this property.
It was very clean
Location
Yallands is an old farmhouse surrounded by by a modern housing estate, but it is a charming place with very friendly and obliging owners. I slept well and had a good breakfast each morning. My room was, I was told, was in the oldest part the house and had an interesting slope to the floor.
No proper decaf coffee for breakfast.
Good breafast
The tired furniture
The owners who run the property are very nice people, very helpful, and prepare a fantastic breakfast. The house has a lot of charm and a lot of history dating back to the Tudors.
The location is a (small) issue as it is in the middle of a modern house estate, which was built around it in the last 30-40 years, and has no charm at all, and is quite far from the city center (30-40 min walk, 20-25 min by bus or 10-15 min by taxi).
Lovely dated property with loads of character, warm welcome, nice big room.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices.
Lovely small property in a great location. Friendly and flexible owners who welcomed us on arrival. Parking and WiFi.
Excellent, well cooked breakfast.
Staff, cleanliness and the breakfast
Breakfast was fine. Room good size, bathroom is pretty bijou but nicely separated from the room itself. It was quiet in the room. Bed was comfortable. Good to have parking available.
steps where you do not expect them. Pigeon or gull crap on your car is pretty inevitable there. It probably was a farmhouse now on a housing estate so don't be misled.
Breakfast was very taste and just right. Room comfortable for overnight stay.
Tricky to find without a sat nav, being right on the middle of a housing estate. But very quaint and olde worldy.
Friendly , accommodating hosts. Spacious room. Wonderful breakfast. Walking distance to archives, Morrisons, pub.
Breakfast was excellent. Room very comfortable Staff nice and very helpful Not too far from a party we were attending
The bed was a bit on the soft side for us but that was our fault!!
The hosts were very welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived and explained all we needed to know very clearly. The arrangements regarding breakfast were great, showing us in advance where we would be sitting and confirming preferred time that we would like breakfast. Cooked to order and served on hot plates..could not have been better.
Nothing to fault just worth checking carefully the location, rather than totally relying on SatNav...which the owners do clarify in their booking confirmation
Breakfast choice was excellent and well cooked. Host brilliant.
Rooms felt as if they could be a bit brighter ie brilliant white walls , rather than dingy creamy colour. A bit cobwebbed in places but difficult to keep on top of this either age of the property.
Overall a very pleasant B & B. Will stay again if in that area.
Nothing, keep everything just as it is.
Staff were great Amazing marmalade
Decor a bit dated Bed v soft I would still stay here again
It was clean comfortable room. Karen and her partner was very welcoming
Toilet was saniflow, it makes so much noise and smells at times
Everything! Peaceful, hospitable, excellent breakfast, comfortable beds, modern shower.. and highly accommodating! Don't let the drive to the parking spot fool you! Its a wonderful b&b and I would 100% book again!
Everything was perfect.
I normally leave detailed reviews but I've nothing really to say about the Farmhouse. All good, no complaints at all. Top breakfast.
My room mates snored!!
Lovely farmhouse with an interesting history. Beautiful cozy room with lovely soft pillows and duvet, great shower and the room was unexpectedly big. The traditional English breakfast was really delicious and we had homemade, very tasty, marmalade on our toast. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Location and garden outlook
Been up and running for a while now - need a mattress renewal schedule. Very soft
Clean and comfortable
We expected a farm The property is actually situated off a main road surrounded by a modern housing estate It is very dated ( in a needs investment way) The hosts were pleasant and the breakfasts was good
I missed staying at Yellands due to being hospitalised. I organised a trip for five of us but due to the circumstances only three people stayed at Yellands. They all enjoyed their stay.
Lovely characterful building, with very comfortable beds. I had the Chestnut Room and loved the view over the beautiful garden. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. His recommendation of The Cross Keys for dinner was spot on - worth a visit. Breakfast was delicious and definitely set me up for the day - I sampled their homemade tortilla. Delicious! I will be visiting Taunton regularly so will make this my preferred stay.
Very comfortable and warm, nice breakfast, lovely owners. Lovely stay and had everything we needed.
Nothing
Lovely old building, and the owners respected it.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing for me, though my friend seemed happy. I dont happen to like tinned tomatoes and the bacon was hard, I couldn't eat it. I suspect it had come out of the freezer.
Orchard room was spacious beds clean and comfy. Saniflow made a bit of a noise but shower good. Host was accommodating and kept in touch with information before we arrived.
Inside bedroom window had a few cobwebs and needed a bit of a clean
Don’t be put off by first impressions or the location of this B&B. Located in a suburban area outside of Taunton this old farmhouse is a complete surprise. The hosts could not be more helpful the rooms were large and all amenities provided. The breakfast cooked to order was first class. A short drive to the Cross Keys hotel provides access to great meals and a great atmosphere British pub.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, with homemade marmalade being a hit. Although the sausages were cheap and basic. Owners were very friendly and accommodating, would definitely stay here again
Excellent. Nice room with very comfortable bed. Good facilities. Really nice breakfast, in pleasant dining room. Plenty to choose from. Cooked breakfast, cooked to order, excellent.
Nothing.
We were made so welcome by Chris and Karen. They have a lovely old farmhouse in the middle of a 1970s estate so very easy to get into Taunton. The breakfasts were good and filling. Room was a little smaller than we expected but we were not there much so it was OK. Next time we will book the deluxe double - and yes, we hope to return
Nothing to add
The bed was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Owners were amazingly welcoming and friendly, the location is beautiful and it feels very quaint and peaceful. Really happy with my stay.
room was large and comfortable, breakfast good
Very helpful staff, safe parking and a fine choice of breakfast.
We mistakenly and disappointedly thought we had booked a stay at an actual farm farmhouse. We were therefore disappointed it was surrounded by housing and the breakfasts. However, the location was fine for touring the area.
The couple were so understanding and friendly
No apple juice
The homemade marmalade was really good. Room was very nice, bed comfy, hosts friendly
Lovely welcome from Karen when we arrived. Lucky to get an upgrade to a larger room with a jacuzzi bath - which was lovely. Beautiful old farm house set in the middle of a housing estate that has been built around it. Decor a bit dated and in need of a refurb. Lovely breakfast with good ingredients. Loved the homemade marmalade. 😋

Fattoria gestita da marito e moglie molto simpatici e disponibili! La mattina preparano una ricca colazione dove ci sono prodotti fatti da loro come la marmellata! Le camere molto grandi e parcheggio gratuito!
Very enjoyable, Chris and Karen were very accommodating and nothing seemed to be a problem.

Bedden te klein en niet zo comfortabel
We (family of 7 adults and 2 young children) had a wonderful 2 night stay with Karen and Chris at this delightful farmhouse filled with character and history. Karen and Chris are so warm, friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Parking, WiFi, large comfortable en suite bedrooms, a lovely garden and outdoor seating and the most delicious freshly cooked breakfast topped off by Chris’s delicious home made marmalade made for the perfect stay. We will definitely be staying here again if we are in Somerset - thank you Karen and Chris for making our time with you so special and perfection every way
Nice Housekeepers.
