Close walking distance to the town centre and beautifully furnished clean room. Free parking on site. Communication with owner excellent and was kept well informed throughout my stay, from initial booking to checking out!

Off the main road so a liitle nosier than would have liked.

Excellent comms with owner to ensure we safely and easily got into our room.good location for ease into Taunton.large Tesco close by offering early breakfast and provisions.double room with garden view very pleasant and home very modern beautifully carpeted. Location quite quiet ...parking was easy for us in September but could be tight on site in busy periods.would unquestionably opt to go there again. Thank you!

We were in room 6 and it was probably one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in anywhere before. Very clean bright and comfortable decorated to a high standard. The location was excellent for river walks into the town and we could park the car on the drive outside the accommodation.

Room was clean and spacious. Lovely bathroom. All facilities are available, kettle, hairdryer and iron and ironing board. Comfortable beds. Good communication with owner.

Our room was a good size, clean with a reasonable en-suite

Parking was very restricted and due to other guests using the B&B not parking considerately and due to no staff at the B&B we had to park in a very small spot behind the other visitors cars

Location was good. Very handy with Tesco around the corner. Ideal to have parking. Host was very good and we got into our room early.

Step down into bathroom was not ideal but grab handle was there to make it easier.

The accommodation was just what we wanted .ground floor was great for us can't manage stairs.Real bonus for us.Had everything we needed great for a short stay Tesco just round the corner which was handy..

Room was very comfortable and tidy,bed very comfortable too was very happy to also have fans! Tesco is a short walk away so that was a huge plus as well. The host was very accommodating and super quick to reply with any questions we had which was fantastic!

Everything was lovely however a very small mini fridge would have made this location perfect

Central location which is within easy walking distance to local amenities and the town centre. The room was very clean and spacious. An iron and ironing board was provided as well as hanging space. The owner was very accommodating and friendly.

My room was at the front of the property, which is on a main road. In summer it is necessary to have the windows open and the noise was a little intrusive.

Location for town. Very clean. Very nice room. There is a Tesco next door if you want to buy something to go with your fresh ground coffee.

In the night we were there it was very hot so the windows were open, unfortunately the M5 was diverted and it went past the window. Think we were just unfortunate.

This is clearly an establishment run with a nicely personal touch. The pleasant young guy who owns it was servicing the rooms as I left!

The over shower bath required stepping down (below floor level) into, which is precarious at best. The room and bathroom looked very tired.

We had a lovely room at the back of the hotel with a view of a pretty garden and trees. The location was excellent, central yet quiet in our room. Great to be able to park and walk into town. Tea and coffee making facilities were good (nice touch providing a cafetiere and ground coffee) and high quality toiletries. Good shower, comfortable bed and heavy curtains to block out any light at night. Richard was excellent at communicating, despite not being able to be present in person, and he was flexible with our leaving arrangements which really helped us.

Nothing. It was made clear that breakfast wasn't provided (so not a surprise) and this didn't matter to us. We had a superb breakfast in the town centre, sitting next to the river!

Beautiful room, equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Bed and pillow super comfortable, nice sized room, sunny and bright. Richard, although we never saw him (!) gave excellent instructions for entering and wonderful advice regarding activities, taxis etc. We appreciated being able to access our room early.He responded to texts immediately and was happy to help us in any way possible. Location very convenient for short stroll into town.

Nothing. Even the weather was beautiful. Note: we walked to Tesco on Sunday morning for breakfast but discovered it didn't open until 9:30am. A quick text to Richard resulted in a great alternate suggestion -- The Corner House just steps away where you can get a great continental or cooked breakfast at a reasonable rate.

Decor in room

Property was difficult to find as name of Guest House was not easy to see. A step down into bathroom and a ‘ sunken ‘ bath was a little difficult for older guests

The fitout of the bathroom was disappointing, a bit basic and cramped. Parking at the front was tight.

Great location, with free parking - a short walk to town centre facilities and (all important) cricket ground. Immaculately clean bedroom and bathroom.

Slightly quirky plumbing, irregular temperature in shower - ran hot and cold.

No check in as the owner made contact to say he could not be there - this was not a problem. Immediate reaction how spotlessly clean it was. Really enjoyed our staying - very comfortable

It wasn’t a problem for us but due to the age of the plumbing the hot water supply was slightly unpredictable.

Richard went above and beyond to make sure our stay went extremely smoothly. I had so many requests, which he dealt with immediately. Nothing was too much trouble to him. We were a group of 5 attending a family funeral. When next in Taunton, he will be the person that I go to.

There was nothing that We didn't like.

Great place that is spotlessly clean, comfortable and good facilities. It is exactly as advertised and ideal for anyone visiting Taunton. Heartily recommend.

Suited my requirements central location, easy access to train station. Quiet and easy to get back to motorway for return home

The mattresses on the beds were dreadful. They squashed down to nothing and you could feel the base through them. The bathroom had an awful drains smell that was very nauseating. This place was not comfortable and not good value.

Check in was super simple, the room was lovely, clean and comfortable and the facilities were great. Host was super helpful and responsive whenever I had a question. I was supporting a family member in Musgrove Hospital and the lodge was a 5-7 minute walk with Tesco close by. Great stay and would recommend!

Lovely comfortable room, quiet, secure.

Excellent location for a property with on site parking - only about 5 minutes walk away from the centre of town. Lovely en suite room - nicely decorated and clean. We had a garden facing room which was very peaceful and we couldn’t even hear the roadworks outside. A good place to explore Taunton from and good communication with our host, Richard.

Not a dislike but a suggestion that mini fridges would be a useful addition to the rooms to keep things like milk and juice cool as this property does not offer breakfast.

Thr property is very clean and we were very happy with our choice.

Great central location, room was really spacious and the facilities (hairdryer, full length and desktop mirror) were a great addition.

We thought the room needed a fresh paint and the bathroom needed modernising, quite cold.

Great location, large Tesco and Lidl a few minutes walk for any provisions you may need and a ten minute stroll to the town. Lovely looking building, nicely decorated and plenty of on-site parking. The accommodation was quiet, we didn’t hear any noise from other guests.

Smell of smoking and tobacco in the landing and room entrance - this seemed strange given that it was a non smoking hotel.
