We absolouyly loved the stay! Its my secound time at the hotel, and it only gets better and better. This is a true escape from the worldly stress and a sanctuary to relax and empty your mind. And the family running the hotel is just the best people.

This is a family owned, family ran hotel. Every single thing we needed then accommodated with a smile. It was extremely clean- I am picky. The restaurant at the hotel was really good and an amazing view ! I would recommend staying here if you are wanting more of an authentic feel. I cannot speak highly enough about Hotel Pellegrino. First, the staff is INCREDIBLE. It is a family run establishment and my friends and I immediately felt it in the way they made us feel at home. Alessia messaged me on whatsapp before my arrival to make sure that I had a transfer set up to get from the airport in Naples, as I was meeting my friends at Hotel Pellegrino. Throughout our stay, she was always available, making sure anything we needed, big or small, was taken care of. She was immensely helpful throughout our time in Praiano. We asked and she delivered. It was amazing service! Second, the food was absolutely phenomenal (my favorite meals throughout our time in Italy). Daniela is an exceptional chef. Every single meal was incredible. The food was so fresh and delicious! Along with being a remarkable chef, Daniela is also extremely kind and every interaction we shared with her left us feeling grateful for our time on the Amalfi Coast. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a highlight. Both the spread and the view were breathtaking. Eliza took care of us each morning and each morning it genuinely felt like catching up with a friend, sharing stories from the day prior. She was so, so lovely. If you can't tell by my gushing, the people were the highlight. But the Hotel itself is also beautiful. Our room fit the three of us nicely. We had a balcony/terrace which served as a great spot for morning views of the water as well as a few evening nightcaps. An additional highlight was the complimentary shuttle service within Praiano. This was such a lifesaver! All in all, I hope to come back to Hotel Pellegrino the next time I plan a trip to the Amalfi coast. It was amazing!

My husband & I stayed at hotel Pellegrino and had a lovely stay! We picked this hotel based on other reviewers mentioning it was family owned and operated and had great service while there. Those reviews are true! Alesia was incredibly helpful with helping us pick various spots to go (or not go) and lining up reservations or transportation. Daniella drove us around to a few spots and was very kind and easy to talk to. Hotel room was so cute and spacious for a European room. We didn’t feel cramped. The balcony is what makes this place special in terms of view. It’s just stunning to wake up to! Also, it’s very clean (important!) You’ll hear road noise, but honestly we were so tired at the end of our days, we didn’t even notice it. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is delicious and Eliza, our server each day, made it even more special with her friendly attitude. As first time visitors to the area, we loved staying in Praiano versus Positano because it’s much quieter and only a few minters down the road. Worth it IMO! Can’t say enough good things about the hotel - book it!

Alessia at the front desk was wonderful from check-in to check-out; knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay went smoothly. She had great recommendations for the area and handled every request with ease. Daniela, who works as both driver and chef, was a real find. Having a personal driver made navigating the coastal roads completely stress-free, and the dinner she prepared for us was outstanding! Easily one of the best meals of our trip. Genuine, home-cooked Italian cooking, made with real care. Breakfast is included and served on the terrace, which was the perfect way to start each day; simple, fresh, and with a beautiful view. The location itself is a huge plus. It’s set in a quieter stretch of the Amalfi Coast, away from the crowds, but still an easy walk into Praiano for dinner or a stroll. It gave us the best of both worlds: peace and quiet, with everything we needed close by. If you want an authentic, personal experience on the Amalfi Coast rather than a big resort feel, Hotel Pellegrino is the place. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

This was our third visit to this amazing family run hotel, on this occasion celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Alessia on reception is so helpful and knowledgeable, Daniela will provide you with the most delicious Italian fare using local ingredients, Eliza provides service with a smile and chat. This is the best hotel in the area, excellent service, food and relaxed atmosphere. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Everything about the property surpassed our expectations

Every single aspect of the service and quality were exceptional! We could not have enjoyed our experience more!

Hotel Pellegrino is amazing! It's family run, and the person that manages the hotel wears many hats, and does them all exceptionally well. Most significantly, she is your concierge, arranging all of your rides, ordering items from local stores that you may forgotten to bring, lost or just want, helping to arrange day trips, dinner at other restaurants, and generally constantly seeking to make sure you have a great time. The chef, who fills in as a driver for pickups and drop offs around the area, we were told by others unrelated to the hotel is one of the best in the entire region. Breakfasts were included in the room price, and were not the sweets, cereal, and maybe some fruit variety served as a buffet. It was a feast with eggs and omelets to order, meats, cheeses, ample fresh cut fruit, grilled vegetables, juices, fantastic coffee, and fresh sweets, and great toast from great, crusty Italian bread, fresh from local bakery. Our breakfasts were served every day by a lovely British server, who also went out of her way to make sure that our every culinary desire was fulfilled. The dinners consist of family Italian recipes, and daily specials based upon the best and freshest seafood, and other local items, and are very reasonably priced. While they do not serve lunch, if you ask for a sandwich during this time, they are happy to accommodate you. Again, these are all prepared by one of the finest chefs in the region. Additionally, they are all served on a 4-floor terrace overlooking the town of Praiano and the Mediterranean Sea. We had originally planned to dine at other, far more expensive restaurants in the area, but were so thrilled by the food, the service and the prices that we ended up enjoying almost all of our meals at the hotel. Even on the 1 night of the week that the chef was off, we mentioned that we were thinking of going out that night for pizza, at what we were told was the best pizza in the area. The manager/concierge asked us if we'd like her to order it, already knowing the place to which we were referring. She and other members of the staff would serve it to us on the terrace dining room. We also asked if we could get a few pieces of the chef's tiramisu, which we hadn't yet tried. She happily indulged us. I have loved tiramisu for over 30 years, and after tasting hers, will have trouble eating any other chef's tiramisu, as all others will pale in comparison to her amazingly delicious preparation. It was like a 20 on a scale of 10. The rooms were wonderful, with very good-sized balconies, where we spent many of our days, on this vacation that was all about relaxation. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned to immaculate perfection every day, with no steps skipped, regardless whether we’d even used those areas within the room or not. The bathrooms were of modern design and always had an hot water that we were never able to deplete. We were only about a 10-minute ride from the beautiful town of Positano, which is filled with hotels, rental villas, B&B's, shops and restaurants. While the town is picturesque, it is very crowded and touristy, which made us glad that we chose to stay just a short drive out of the town of Positano in nearby Praiano. There is no doubt why this is the Tripadvisor number 1 rated hotel of the 22 hotels in Praiano; the great hospitality, amazing food, great views, great balconies, and the fact that every member of the staff earns their reputation every single day with every customer interaction!

Pellegrino hotel was a random choice that proved to be a memorable experience of loving hospitality and service ! A family owned hotel that made us feel exactly like home ! Excellent and prompt service,caring help for moving around,amazing views and top notch food. Alessia and Daniela and everybody else were always available and ready to make the experience most enjoyable ! Five stars from us !

Alessia and her family run this hotel in a manner that should be studied by anyone interested in hospitality. Starting with the communication prior to our arrival, thru helping us organize boats, trips, etc. - the hotel staff has been outstanding and helpful beyond words. The room is spacious, clean, the shower works great, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were also excellent - the chef is talented and the dining room staff has been kind, helpful, and consistent in their high level of service. The hotel shuttle service was also quick, efficient, and extremely convenient. Parking was also a great bonus, so we could get the car whenever we had to. One of the best experiences we had in a hotel. Thank you for making our vacation perfect.

My wife and I stayed at Pellegrino Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely pleasant. They offered recommendations on where to eat and provided courtesy transportation to nearby places, which made our stay very enjoyable. What made our trip truly special were the amazing staff, who clearly care about their guests.

Pellegrino hotel is truly a hidden gem. Beautiful from the inside and outside. It’s a family owned hotel and they take pride on providing an exceptional experience. Very clean and well maintained. The restaurant has a beautiful view and the food is fantastic. The hotel is a short walk into Praiano center. Question at night. I did a lot of research and it was the perfect choice for me and my wife. Alessia and the whole family were great, so helpful and attentive. We will go back.

We stayed at Hotel Pellegrino for four nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and it exceeded all our expectations. This charming family-run hotel is located on the edge of Praiano, making it the perfect base for exploring the Amalfi Coast while avoiding the crowds of Positano and Amalfi. Our room was spacious, full of character, and beautifully maintained. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and one evening we dined at the hotel restaurant—of all the places we ate during our trip, it was our favourite meal. While the hotel itself is wonderful, the standout feature has to be the complimentary chauffeur service. Being able to send a quick message and have one of the hotel's Audis arrive within minutes for a lift to or from Praiano or Positano saved us so much time and stress. It made getting around effortless and allowed us to make the most of our stay. Hotel Pellegrino was truly the perfect place to stay during our time on the Amalfi Coast. Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary so special. We look forward to returning in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience staying at Hotel Pellegrino. The thing that sets this hotel apart from others that I have stayed at is the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. They provide transportation to Positano and all restaurants nearby. We had to leave for our train very early one morning and they provided us with to go coffee and breakfast for our drive to the train station! Also, I enjoyed staying in Praiano because it was much less busy than Positano, but Positano was just a short drive away and easy to visit. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel!

We felt so welcomed by the all of the staff. Each of them seemed to really go above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable visit. I highly recommend this experience. The breakfast was delicious as well as dinner. We also enjoyed drinks and the stunning views on the terrace.

This hotel is fantastic! The staff made you feel like family. The daily breakfast was amazing. The views from this hotel are breathtaking taking. The chef at the restaurant created some truly authentic Italian dishes.

Beautiful location, in a lovely town that is quieter than neighbouring Positano which suited us better. My favorite hotel on the Amalfi Coast. It is a wonderful family-owned hotel that will provide expert advice and guidance. The restaurant is top-notch. It is the perfect base to experience the surrounding area.

Exceptional customer service. Manager Alyssa and her team exceeded expectations in every way. We received excellent restaurant recommendations as well as shuttle service several times. Rooftop restaurant and bar were excellent and included breakfast was a treat. Will return!

What didn’t we love about Hotel Pellegrino?! The hotel wildly surpassed our expectations — the family that owns it is beyond lovely and helpful; they coordinated many of our activities while in Praiano and gave recommendations, plus offered help with transportation. The daily breakfast is something I’ll dream about forever (thanks to Daniela and her cooking skills!) and we even stayed back to have dinner there one evening which was the loveliest and tastiest experience. One of our favorite hotels we've ever stayed at. We can't say enough good things. The service was incredible, clean, incredible food, the nicest people, beautiful place. To be fair, we've only stayed at one other place in Italy, so we don't have a lot to compare to. But this one was top notch compared to the US hotels and other countries we've traveled to. Again we can't say enough good things about the hotel itself and the people working there. We also loved the town. If we return to Amalfi coast, we will definitely stay here again.

We returned to the Hotel Pellegrino, confident of the courtesy and helpfulness of the Rispoli family. The cheerful and elegant rooms with splendid views of Praiano, the gorgeous breakfasts served on the terrace, and chef Daniela's cuisine all contribute to an unforgettable vacation. Tout d'abord la gentillesse du personnel , très accueillant , aimable , serviable , souriant . Le déjeuner est excellent et on mange très bien au restaurant. Très belle vue depuis notre terrasse . Le service voiturier est excellent pour aller jusqu'à praiano ou Positano ils peuvent si on le désire nous conduire et nous rechercher quand on le souhaite. Ils ont toujours de très bon conseils pour les excursions , endroits à visiter , restaurants , transports etc... Tout était parfait .

Wonderful views from atop cliffs of Praiano. Room was large and clean. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Dinner meal was great but I recommend you get out at least a couple times to enjoy local scene. All in all a very, very wonderful 5 days.

Everything about this place is spectacular But the family / staff that run the hotel are truly what shines. They’re the kindest people you could ever meet. They help with anything you need or could need. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We last came to Hotel Pellegrino 9 years ago and the experience was every bit as good now as it was then. A superb, family run establishment that enriches your holiday on the Amalfi coast. Nothing is too much for them - a lift to Positano, a collection, bus tickets, an early breakfast. The team are ready to help with a warm smile and genuine personality. This trip was our 35th wedding anniversary. Of all our holidays I asked my wife which she wanted to return to and this was her choice - a very good choice too.

The breakfast was phenomenal, the staff go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and help us navigate the area. They provide transportation to explore the area which is incredibly helpful and help you to figure out what things you would like to do, help with bookings and reservations, it truly was the full package!

The beautiful property, thoughtful hospitality, and ideal location on the coast made this stay spectacular! Luigi, Alesia, Daniella, and everyone at the hotel make it an incredible experience, from their vast knowledge/expertise of the area to their attentiveness, they incredibly cover it all. The rooms are so beautiful (we had 2 and both were tastefully designed and spotless). Local drop off makes it so convenient to visit nearby places. The breakfast is phenomenal along with the views. I’m very particular with where I stay as an avid, discerning traveler and the fact that they made it to my list of hotels I’d stay in again means they’re spot on. Highly recommend!!

Family owned and ran literally. They treat you with such kindness. Truly a five star treatment! The hotel is nestled in the hillside with beautiful flowering vines covering the private terraces fr your room The breakfast service and food were the best we had in 28 days of traveling Italy Truly great spread brought to your table not the typical buffet self service Owners took us in their car to several local dining spots and picked us with a simple text. Even dropped us in positano for the afternoon and arranged a water taxi (at our expense) to travel back to Priano port where they again transported us back to hotel I can’t say enough and would stay no where else in future The only drawback that some will feel is the road noise during the day but at night it’s quiet With that said I don’t think it would deter me in the future stays. It’s that good of a small boutique 5 star feel.

We stayed for two nights and would have loved to stay for a week. Despite arriving later than expected Luigi and his family could not have been more welcoming. I have seldom stayed anywhere where the owners are so attentive to their guests. The location is idyllic and the rooms are beautiful. I would definitely recommend staying for dinner also, the locally prepared food was exceptional!! Thank you Luigi and Alessia, we hope we can stay again soon!

Hotel Pellegrino is one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at. There are many reasons to recommend this hotel but most importantly, this family cares for their guests in a very thorough manner. We love everything about Hotel Pellegrino! You won’t find better, more attentive service anywhere! The family is on hand taking care of your every need—helping with itinerary ideas and bookings, giving rides, making the most delicious food in their on-site restaurant, etc! The Pellegrino is located in Praiano between Positano and Amalfi. You are in the calm area between those two crowded cities full of tourists. You can go around by taxi or by bus. The sea is nearby. Capri is easily reachable by boat from Praiano. The hotel itself is rum by the family and you feel at home from morning till evening.

Hotel Pelligrino is the perfect place to base your amalfi coast trip. They have beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is just incredible; fresh and delicious and has everything you could imagine. They serve dinner most nights, so if you find yourself wanting a night at the hotel, it’s very elegant and delicious. Alessia is concierge and she can help you with everything from booking excursions to getting a water taxi to getting a restaurant reservation. She is amazing! Because they are in a less walkable area, they give you rides to and from Praiano center or Positano as needed, which was such a gift! Don’t hesitate to book if you want a quiet hotel with superb customer service who treat you like family. Highly recommend! Thank you Luigi and family for your hospitality!

We had a wonderful stay! The family that runs it is incredibly kind, meticulous, and talented! The room was large, beautifully furnished, and immaculately clean. The breakfast was incredible, and the food we had in the restaurant for dinner was some of the best we had on our trip to Italy. There is a genuine devotion to humble excellence at this hotel, and we truly appreciated it. Also, the complimentary rides were great! The car was very comfortable, they were great drivers and the responsiveness and promptness to our our requests was incredible!

Everything was great!

We arrived late afternoon and were greeted warmly with offers to help with luggage, parking, etc. The lady at reception could not have been nicer or more accommodating. A gentleman unloaded our car, took our car to park it in their on site garage and brought our bags to our room. The room was large and lovely. They offered to book a local restaurant for us and because of the hectic traffic in the area, suggested he drive us to the restaurant and collect us after dinner. We elected to eat our first night in the hotel and were greatly impressed by the amazing dinner that was offered. Everything was fresh and so perfectly prepared. The chef was amazing. She readily made changes to suit our tastes. We loved every bit of our full course meal! We have visited more than 100 countries over our travel adventures and this hotel and restaurant were a genuine highlight. We would highly recommend booking this property and staying at least 2-3 nights to fully enjoy the area and this wonderful property.

We stayed at Hotel Pellegrino for 7 nights in September and it was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. As noted in so many previous reviews, it’s all thanks to Luigi and his family for making our stay so memorable and special. The beautiful and wholesome breakfasts fueled us for our busy days, sometimes so much so that we weren't hungry for lunch! Luigi dropped us off and picked us up countless times, which was appreciated more than we can say as this shuttle service greatly facilitated our sightseeing and experience,while also presenting an opportunity to get to know each other a bit. Of particular notable mention was the attention we received from Alessia and the impression she made on us. She was there for every question and offered impeccable, personalized recommendations. She was also just a Whatsapp message away if we ever needed assistance, directions, or advice while out and about (and that was often!). She works incredibly long hours to ensure her guests are well cared for. We always looked forward to chatting with her at the beginning and end of our days, swapping stories and sharing many laughs together. Staying at HP felt like being hosted by family or friends and we were sad to say goodbye. Many, many thanks for the memories; we miss you and will remember you always!

This is a family-run, lovely hotel where we were truly treated as if we were old friends returning home. You will begin each day with a rooftop terrace breakfast that is simply to die for. If you are lucky, you will see Daniela in action in the kitchen—fresh squeezed juice, homemade preserves, croissants, roasted vegetables, fresh tomatoes, eggs, meat, and avocado. Your belly will be so full you may find it difficult to eat another meal for the rest of the day. Alessia is a brilliant, funny, and thoughtful guide who would give any Amalfi concierge a run for their money. She helped us flawlessly navigate a custom-built itinerary across multiple towns through the peak-season crowds. Luigi will chauffeur you to all of the local hotspots, making the hotel’s location very convenient for Positano, the beaches and beach clubs, and of course Priano itself. If you are lucky, you will hear stories of how the hotel has been built through generations of his family. If you’re considering a stay in Priano, Hotel Pellegrino is an outstanding choice. Highly, wholeheartedly recommended!

A localização é ótima por ser perto de positano e de praias imperdíveis, o quarto tinha uma vista maravilhosa para o mar, e a janela do banheiro deixava todos os banhos com uma vista deslumbrante. A limpeza dos quartos era impecável, o café da manhã delicioso, mas com certeza o que faz a estadia ser diferente são as pessoas que trabalham lá. Todos extremamente prestativos, educados, sempre de bom humor e atenciosos.

We just returned from our vacation and had to give Hotel Pellegrino an incredible review. If we could give this hotel 10 stars, we would — from the service and hospitality to the rooms and décor, everything was outstanding. Alessia was absolutely amazing in arranging all of our accommodations. She helped us book private taxis to and from the hotel, boat rides to Amalfi, and curated each day with the best restaurant recommendations. It felt like having our own personal travel agent. Luigi’s charm and generosity made our trip even more special. He drove us daily to Positano and to the marina, all while sharing heartfelt stories of growing up in the villa and transforming it into the welcoming hotel it is today. Breakfast each morning, prepared by Luigi and his family, was truly the best we’ve ever had in Europe (and we travel a lot!). Every detail was thoughtful and delicious. The rooms were beautifully decorated with local ceramics, making each one unique and special. You can see the love and care put into the design. The views from both the rooms and the dining terrace were immaculate. While the hotel is just outside Praiano and we initially worried about the location, it turned out to be no issue at all. Luigi generously offered rides so we didn’t have to walk on the narrow roads, and Alessia arranged water taxis and private transfers when needed — all seamless. Overall, our stay was pure magic, and we cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven!

LOOK NO FURTHER, BOOK NOW! At Alessia's request, I am reviewing our stay here only at the end of our 3-week Italy road trip. Having stayed in many different locations, I can say, without a doubt, that this has been our most exceptional experience. Beyond the fascinating views, perfect location, beautiful rooms, amazing terraces, the truly outstanding highlight of this place are the people. They have made our family of 5 (4 adults, 1 child and one dog) feel like royalty, with care, kindness and impeccable communication: from securing safe parking on-site for our huge car on the Amalfi coast, assisting us with heavy luggage, booking for us an unforgettable private boat trip to Capri (with our dog!) complete with transfer, coming to pick us up at a time of our choice from Positano, advising us on our Amalfi itinerary, giving us restaurant recommendations and even checking parking garages availability for us - they just went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and as comfortable as possible. We were personally served each morning with the richest, most delicious breakfast we've had in all of Italy, with local fresh produce, amazing coffee, and huge variety of dishes. We had dinner one evening on the beautiful terrace overlooking the coast, an experience I would definitely recommend. They even researched ways to have our luggage delivered in another Amalfi town via boat, so we can travel without the worry of a car full of luggage. And to top it off, on the day of departure, they pulled their own car in the street to allow us to exit the parking safely on the crazy Amalfi roads. This is THE PLACE to stay on the coast and I would choose it for my family again and again! Thank you for an unforgettable stay, you've set a very high standard of excellence of what hospitality should feel like.

El trato cercano y profesional. Mucha pasión e interés en que todo vaya bien. El desayuno tanto dulce como salado es buenísimo y una gran cantidad. Nos ayudó muchísimo el transporte al centro de Positano cuando lo necesitábamos y lo hemos valorado y agradecido muchísimo.

Such a beautiful property and relatively central location. Much more peaceful than the bigger towns. Made us feel very welcome and very homey feel. Staff were very attentive and made it easy to get around the coast.

When we pulled up to the hotel, after a short drive from Sorrento, it was like pulling up to something from a fairytale! The whole building is covered in greenery/bougainvillaea. The staff were so friendly and attentive and made everything possible. They drive us to Parrocchia di san Gennaro, where we walked down lots of stairs to Gavitella Beach. They recommended a very sweet free beach, where we swam. We also went with their recommendation for drinks and lunch at Cafe Mirante. I then text them for a lift back to the hotel as the heat was so intense (and those stairs) and they were there within minutes. We adored the food and lack of menus - they just go with what is fresh, local and the catch of the day. The most amazing supper on the terrace, with breakfast there in the morning. We were spoilt with a total feast! Again, no menus, but they just kept brining homemade juice, jams, fruit salads, eggs with bacon and a platter of the most delicious sweet pastries. Our room was beautiful with a little terrace with the best sea views (and AC!). No swimming pool but we didn't mind as we were only there for one night, and you are spoilt for choice with local beaches. 10/10 and we cannot wait to return!

Nous étions de passage et n’avons passé qu’une nuit à l’hôtel Pellegrino, mais tout était parfait. L’hôtel est magnifique avec toute sa végétation en façade. Luigi est également un hôte exceptionnel. Il semble partout à la fois et s’assure que vous ne manquiez de rien! Le déjeuner était vraiment excellent et très complet, avec de bons produits frais.

This location is the best in Praiano… it sits right at the beginning of the road leading into town!! You can see everything from here! The boutique family run hotel was amazing. Luigi and his family have something truly special. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to the Amalfi coast. No need to worry about transportation as Luigi is your personal driver, his eldest daughter is your personal concierge can book tours, dinners, and activities for you! They also have a delicious restaurant where they spoil you rotten with breakfast it’s included and the dinner is top-notch their youngest daughter is a highly trained chef!!

Everything was exceptional

The entire staff at this Hotel is a 10 out of 10. If you ever need a ride to anywhere nearby, the Hotel just needs a little bit of a heads up, and they will drive you to Positano, Praiano and if it’s a little bit beyond that they will arrange for transport. The in-house restaurant service the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The rooms are kept impeccable. The patio facing DC provides a breathing view of both sunrise and sunset.
