Room and especially bathroom very much needing an upgrade. Very noisy from the beer garden / outside smoking area below. Access to rooms on the first floor either via walking through the main bar/ restaurant or a back stairwell that was dark, filthy and smelly.
Clean fresh although a tiny shower
The blonde lady behind the bar did not welcome or even acknowledge us as we arrived bags in hand we had travelled four hours It wasn’t obvious where to book in so I had to ask in between her serving “Excuse me are we in the right place to book a room?” “Yes “ Continued to serve then told the waitress to check the lady behind us for a table/meal before saying” il be with you in a minute” and then told us to come round the other side to her ! Wasn’t particularly rude but certainly not inviting We did however find the waitress very polite and welcoming Checked out order and food cleared away in good time and smiled a lot
Staff were friendly and helpful. They were quick to respond to requests.
The room was clean and pleasantly decorated with a large comfortable bed and hot powerful shower. We attended a birthday party nearby so location was perfect for an overnight stay and breakfast. Our room was very warm, but the large fan provided in the room was very welcome and helped make the room more comfortable.
While the hot food at breakfast was freshly prepared to order, it was probably the smallest cooked breakfast we've ever had. The men in the party especially were a bit disappointed as the cooked breakfast is always a favourite on nights away. There was also a small selection of cereals, fresh fruit & yoghurts for self service.
Great breakfast and brilliant staff
Staff where excellent
The 100 degrees shower you could not use breakfast was not the best for the price
very clean and tidy
Bombay Restaraunt below was great
Close proximity to course we were playing. Staff friendly and welcoming. Didn’t try the food but advised by others it was good.
Bit run down, 24hr access in need of repair, let’s hotel down.
The staff were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. Lovely tray with tea, coffee, water and biscuits available in room. Lively hotel with good entertainment - although if you like an early night, it is noisy in room!
Not a massive deal but there wasn’t a plug socket near a mirror to dry hair and could have benefitted from a full length mirror.
NEVER HAD TOO EXSPENSIVE
THE NOISE OUTSIDE OF WORKERS AT 6.30AM AND BANGING AT 8.30PM
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at the Glendevon Hotel in Auchterarder. My experience included multiple serious issues, including unsafe conditions, misinformation from staff, and poor service throughout my stay. Upon arrival, I discovered that there was no reception desk and that check‑in was conducted in the bar. When I asked for a dinner table, I was initially told the restaurant was too busy, and only after a waiter intervened was I seated. My starter was served cold. The corridors leading to the rooms were extremely narrow, and my room itself was very small and uncomfortably hot. I had also been informed that breakfast, which I paid an additional £15 for, was served between 7:30 and 8:30 am. When I questioned the unusually short breakfast window, the waitress simply smiled without explanation. The following morning, when I went down for breakfast, I found the entire area locked. I was trapped in a fire‑exit zone with no access to the hotel and no safe way out. I telephoned the hotel several times and could hear the phone ringing unanswered. At approximately 8:00 am, a woman entered through the fire‑exit door and asked why I was there. When I explained that I was trying to get in for breakfast, she stated that breakfast did not begin until 8:30 am and became rude when I explained the information I had been given the previous day. Being locked in a fire‑exit area is a serious safety breach and completely unacceptable. Combined with the poor service, misinformation, and uncomfortable room conditions, my stay fell far below any reasonable standard. I am requesting a full refund of the £15 breakfast charge, given that I was unable to access the breakfast area and was subjected to unsafe conditions. I look forward to your response and resolution. Kind regards, Javaid Shafi

Good room, bed & ensuite. Clean. Good bar and excellent food
No secure m/c parking
Cozy, furnishing to a good standard
Noise, compact bedroom and shower. Absence of staff the morning. Poor WiFi. Not welcoming
Lovely cosy room, bed was super comfortable. The room was quite hot and no fan but it was ok! Would return. The bar was great and beer garden too. Had a really nice stay overall.
We settled in late in the evening but everything was ready for us.
It was a pub / hotel and check in was at the bar. Karaoke and music could be heard into the room until 11pm.
Das Hotel ist schon renovierungsbedürftig
Food and comfy bed
good location, nice staff and lovely beer garden
Having had major hip surgery in April ,i found the bed i bit on the small size ie the height Otherwise ok

Very little from the outside
A bit shabby outwardly
Staff were lovely and attentive, especially Lewis who showed us to our room. He also recommended a few places which we tried. All excellent. Would definitely book again. 😊
The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly. The check-in was smooth and breakfast the following morning was excellent. It was situated near to the Golf Course we were playing.
Nothing
the staff and the rooms were very nice and clean , nice big bathroom and beds were comfy ,breakfast was nice and very efficient on service ,served with a smile
the only thing that let the place down was the back stair well where you enter when coming in late ,its in terrible condition, the plaster hanging of the wall and its like someone has tried to plaster it and its like the rocky mountains , fire door looks drab, this is fine for staff use but not paying guests ,this lets the rest of the hotel down ,sorry for this comment but needed to be said .
Clean room Nice staff
Other guests blasting music and staff not doing much about it. Car park didn't feel safe
Reasonably priced Staff were very friendly and warm welcoming
Location
Staff sometimes abrupt and in helpful
Nothing not to like
as above
Ontbijt window was extreem beperkt. (Alleen tussen half 8 en half 9).\ Om kwart voor 9 werden we weg gestuurd, omdat we te laat waren.

Shower
The noise, didn’t realise there was a pub under us, loud music and shouting till after 1 in the morning. Couldn’t work tv The banging of all room doors when closing
Great staff , entertainment at night , breakfast great , location spit on
Bar area toilets 🤢
Il ristorante e pub proprio sotto.
Bagno forse un po’ piccolo
Comfortable bed. Good shower. Clean room. Be nice if the paid some attention to the rear of the building and removed weeds etc. and attended to flaking paint on walls and windows.
Only stayed for 1 night
Room was very small with the shower set up for someone of a small stature. Couldn't even turn around without the doors opening. We included breakfast with out stay and all we got was 1 bacon washer, 1 sausage, a spoonful of Ben's and a raw egg. Totally disappointed with the stay.
Room was a good size, with excellent bathroom. Shower was good strong power. Good option of coffees, etc, although on sufficient milk for one cup each.
There was a constant hmm noise, which we mentioned to staff. They weren't sure what it was from but advised it would be off through the night. It was not.
Cosy, Friendly, very welcoming and happy to help.
It was very hot in the rooms and our room was only turned up once in 4 nights.
The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Auchterarder. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a good breakfast service although the timing is limited during the weekdays (longer at weekends)
Nothing
Very noisy rooms above the bar. Karaoke all night right underneath my room. Couldn’t sleep until it ended. Should have been told about this a) on booking and b) on check in.
Central location and good value
Staff were helpful and friendly
NA
Room and beds were comfortable. The staff accommodated 4 beds for us in a family room, even though the booking was for a large double and one single.
The noise from the bar (karaoke night) was very audible in the room. This continued until 1230am. Not ideal if you're planning an early night (especially with children in a family room). We had to pop to the Spar next door to purchase ear plugs. Advanced notice of this may have caused us to re-consider booking here during the weekends.
Room was nice. Restaurant was good, bar was good.......Nice stay
The price of the room was high.
Staff and management are awsome and so helpful
Nothing
Clean and tidy
Clean
Great location, very clean and friendly staff
Friendly professional staff, good food
It was good
Liked it all
Nice comfy large bed, clean room and breakfast was amazing!
The radiator in my room couldnt be turned off. The thermostat was broken - was on full blast a lot of the evening so had to have windows open and wind was blowing it back shut again.
The bed was extremely comfortable. Biscuits in the room were a nice touch. Didn't hear any noise from the bar area. The room was so quiet.
Great welcome, rooms were lovely and clean, nice big fluffy towels. We ate dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous! Really enjoyed it. Breakfast wasn’t so good. Waitress was so friendly (can’t remember her name, she had a foreign accent) and could not do enough for us. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely return.
Nothing, great wee place to stay and eat
Everything. The place was excellent value for money. It had more than I thought including a nice bar , live music and good food
I liked everything
Nice room and really comfortable beds. Staff where so so nice. We had diner on site and had tbe Indian curry which was really good and worth trying if you visit. Karaoke was on whi h made the place busy and created a really good atmosphere. Great stay and thanks again to all the staff, nothing was a problem, would definitely come back if in tbe area again.
Nothing
Nice location, friendly staff and a good pub.
The room was too small for the bed they put in it. It was a very tight squeeze between the bottom of the bed and the wall to get to the windows for opening and closing the curtains or accessing the kettle and coffee-making facilities. For this reason, I've marked it down for comfort. Also a bit overpriced.
Welcoming staff, clean and comfortable
WiFi was non existent, and quite a bit of noise from the corridor outside the rooms as guests made their way back to their rooms until the early hours
Great location for a work trip - rooms are really nice - food excellent
The room was immaculate, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and the staff were so friendly.
That I had to leave. :-(
Fantastic shower, lovely staff, great location. Bed was super comfy.
Food was fantastic. Bar/restaurant had a chilled atmosphere.
Bed was not very comfortable. With two beds put together I found the middle of the bed was really uncomfortable as every time I rolled over it. There was also an extractor fan or something was buzzing most of the night keeping me awake.
It was immaculate. The towels were super fluffy and there was plenty tea and coffee
Staff were friendly and really helpful
Location
Good selection of whiskeys and beers at the bar, with a welcoming friendly atmosphere, especially as someone traveling for business. Lovely comfy room with good amenities. I'd rate the breakfast an all!
Trying to find the door out in the morning. Could not work it out for love nor money. My apologies for leaving the front door ajar. The street parking was interesting, but thank heavens there was space.
Very clean and comfortable
Music from the hotel was very loud
Convenient for access to local amenities. Nicely decorated, clean single room. Good shower but sliding doors did not meet a the bottom (reported to Vera as I left).
The back stair, which I was invited to use to avoid having to go through the bar is narrow, has a loose carpet on the second from top step and is really grubby. Dining area in morning was not warm. I was not expected for breakfast which I had booked and paid for. Member of staff did not greet me but checked the booking on a laptop as if to doubt my request. I had the receipt. Hastily arranged place setting and full breakfast served. There was nobody else in the dining room. Could not cut lorne sausage, drew this to attention of waitress who asked for my fork to test it (fork would not go through), as if to doubt my ability to cut through sausage meat. I was offered a replacement or another sausage which I declined. She took my plate as I had finished and must have explained the problem to the other lady who was heard to say "what a shame". The waitress had apologised but no further apology was offered by the other lady, whom I assumed to be in charge. I did not ask for a refund , to be fair, but there was no offer of any and, having paid £15 for breakfast, I would not consider this to have been remotely good value. Customer service overall was appalling, though Vera was very polite and helpful.
The food was good. The staff were pleasant if a little confused. The lady at breakfast was very pleasant and professional.
The gutter outside the room window was leaking and dripped all night long keeping us awake, The noise from the bar area below was also rather loud with tables and chairs being dragged about after shutting time.
Location was perfect for me. Bed was super comfortable
Fabulous place, beautifully decorated and a friendly feel
Nothing, keep doing what you're doing
The bed was comfortable.
Noise. Walls are super thin and the room was by the 24hr access door..constant noise till 2am. Lousy WiFi, which kept cutting off and being unavailable in the room. Staff were a little surly, barely any greeting on arrival. And no invoice besides being requested. Plug for the kettle was also not ideal, with cable length I had to put mine on the floor. Pillows too fat and no extra blankets..and the heating was turned off during the night.
Price was rather expensive for a single room it was nearly the same price as a double room as it was only £3 more
Single bed and shower was to small and I am only 5 foot 7
It was super easy to get to and perfectly located in Auchterarder! The staff were incredibly friendly. The bed was comfy, and the room was spotless. It really ticked all the boxes!
Tiny thing, I heard quite a bit of noise from other guests passing by my door.
Nice friendly staff with really warm welcome shower amazing and toiletries lovely even allowed a late checkout 😘
No blind in toilet/shower room so had to put towel up 😢
Location
A little bit tired, some refurbish required
Super friendly staff. Great food and atmosphere. Room was clean and comfortable. For us a 1 night stop on the drive north and was perfect for this. I note other reviewers have mentioned noise from the bar - not a problem for us, there was karaoke until midnight - audible from the room but didn't stop me going to sleep (and there were some incredible locals singing whilst we down in the bar!)
Good location, nice comfy room and loved the food
Nothing
Location
The live music below our bedroom until midnight
It was a lovely welcoming atmosphere and staff were lovely. Food was very good. Vera who served breakfast on both days we were there was lovely and very attentive, could not do enough for you. The breakfast is very good value for money, would definitely recommend this.
The room was smaller than we expected for the price paid. The fact that the restaurant is not owned by the hotel, meant having to pay for food separately. Also if you moved from the bar to the restaurant, even though both owned by the restaurant, you had to pay for the drinks in the bar and in the restaurant separately. My husband asked on Friday if he could run a tab for the weekend and settle up on Sunday and was told yes, but the staff member who told him this finished at 6.00 pm and we were then told no, it all had to be paid separately.
Food was really nice staff where very helpful and approachable band on Saturday night made it worm and fun.
Room was cold day time and evening heating did not go on till the morning
great hotel, great food. needs a lick of paint and some repairs in places but its great where it counts
Easy to find clean tidy great shower
Room decor slightly dated
Dinner was good
Enjoyed my stay, staff pleasant and helpful, disappointing there was no tv signal, at least staff tried to move Ariel but nothing
Staff, food.
Bathroom - water in taps not easy to control. Not enough wardrobe space.
Attached restaurant and location. Live music.
Back stairs needs tidying up.
