Cairn Lodge

We loved our short stay in Cairn Lodge. The hotel is so beautifully decorated, the staff is warm and welcoming, the food was delicious. The room was clean and smelled so fresh. The bed was super comfortable. This place hasn’t missed a single thing. I easily give it 5 stars!

The Cairn Lodge is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. Beautiful historic architecture in wooded setting, well maintained, accent lighting, beautifully furnished and stylishly decorated. We loved dinner and breakfast in the atrium. Food and service were impeccable. Relaxing bar area, easy parking. Easy in and out. Rooms were also beautiful. Comfortable. Richard gave us a warm greeting and service along with all waitstaff. Highly recommended. Great value!

Excellent experience, staff are super attentive, friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful, food in their restaurant fantastic. If you dont have a car though be sure to request taxi numbers ahead of time, there is no other transport from the Gleneagles train station.

Have used hotel previously and staff are great, very accommodating. Only thing would be breakfast at an earlier time maybe 7.30 instead of 8, Al & Trip-A state 7am but not correct. The staff did advise if we ask them ahead of time they’d accommodate the 7am start though. Clean & roomy rooms with great bathroom area. Definitely use again.

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff!

Amazing boutique hotel, wish I had booked a longer stay. The rooms were spacious and luxurious with a wow bathroom. Everyone of the staff were friendly, Courteous ans extremely helpful. Dinner was one of the best I have eaten, I couldn’t not find fault with this gem of a hotel. I will will definitely be back again.

Service of all the staff was excellent and the stay was amazing. The quality of the food every meal was outstanding. Highly recommend.

After some initial confusion over the standard of room allocated being different to that which we had reserved, all resolved very easily, we had a great one night stay at Cairn Lodge on our way to the Western Isles. The food and service both at dinner and for breakfast were superb and I can highly recommend a stay at Cairn Lodge

Great place to stay

Lovely hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. A little tired around the edges but the staff make up for that. Food is excellent; dinner and breakfast menus are very good. Conservatory area is lovely with nice outlook. Excellent place for a short break.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The property is lovely, and the staff was very kind and polite. The restaurant is top notch with excellent food. Flawless experience.

The hotel and staff are excellent ...It certainly is wonderful.The staff are so friendly and very knowledgible about the surrounding area. No request is to much for them....A wonderful find!!!

Cairn Lodge is fantastic! The decor stunning, the service impeccable, the food delicious and the the price very reasonable! We also stayed at The Gleneagles just down the road and found the service at Cairn Lodge to be just as good. You could quite easily book yourself a meal or an activity at The Gleneagles, then save yourself £600 and stay at Cairn Lodge. You wont be disappointed!

Cost rooms with tasty morning breakfast

I travel throughout the UK for work & tge Cairn Lodge is by far tge best & my favourite to stay in, it’s a hidden gem between the village of Auchterarder near Perth & the world famous Glen Eagles golf club. The ambience, style, the staff, beautiful rooms & amazing restaurant, make your stay an absolute haven

This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are great, but that is not what makes this place so wonderful. It is the people…they treat everyone like family! They anticipate your every need.

My husband and I stayed overnight after a 330 mile drive on our way to Peterhead. A beautiful building in a very nice location. Ate at the restaurant where the food was excellent.

Great property, warm and inviting and easy access to the A9. Nice spacious bedroom and luxurious well presented bathroom. Unfortunately dining was unacceptable. Waited 1hr 20 mins for the food to appear. It didn't so we left, finished our drink in the bar and went to bed. We would only stay again if kitchen problems were solved.

Elegant and comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. Warm and nice people also ensured our stay was fabulous.

A very friendly stay, with the staff excelling in making their guests feel welcome. The food was excellent and the bar service was the same. Couldn't fault anything and I'd definitely choose to stay here rather than the 'big name' hotel which is only one mile away.

Gorgeous stay with my 8yr old son. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, accommodate any special needs (especially for picky eaters!) and make us feel special on our stay.

The Hotel is Superb the staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic . The hotel is very very clean . The surrounding area is beautiful. Must place to visit. We are definatley coming back to stay again.

Outstanding hitel

Lovely quiet hotel featuring relaxing lounge areas and a beautiful restaurant. Apart from breakfast which was excellent, we did not sample the evening dinner as chose to dine in the local village. Maybe another time.

Cairn is a top knotch, first rate organization. We put it at the top of the 7 places we stayed in Scotland on our adventure there. Very nice property - wonderful room and bathroom - very large and 5 star nice! The staff are extremely responsive! Highly recommend!

Wow! One of the very best hotels havevever stayed in! A total credit to both the owners and all the staff we encountered.

We have just had an excellent stay at cairn lodge- the service was superb and the room (15) is perfect if you’re travelling with a teenager as it gives them privacy and saves having to book two rooms. We found the hotel just perfect for what we needed Thank you

Everything was excellent but they overcharged my credit card. I had a pre arrival charge and instead of including that in the tot as l they charged my card for the full amount. When it c as me to their attention we were told we would have to take up their error with the credit card company. This is wrong and should be their responsibility to corrrct. I have a heart condition and do not need the added stress.

Beautifully renovated main dining area and bar. Lovely food and drink. Unfortunately seemed a bit short-staffed the evening we dined and service was quite slow. Ran out of orange juice both mornings for breakfast. Room comfortable and spacious-quirks included non-functional telephone and safe. Would return and recommend to others. Perhaps just a bit more attention to detail (dead plants in hanging basket outside lodge rooms) for a 5-star rating.

The accommodation was really good, the room was clean and tidy and the bathroom was excellent. It was well porpotioned and appointed. The property fails however in their culinary offerings. We asked about the tasting menu but advised that we happy if this was not available. The staff advised that the tasting menu could be done however we would have to have canapes at 6:45pm - not sure why as the restaurant was not busy. The canapes came and were the size of a main meal and it only went downhill from there. As a tasting menu it was not as expected. There was no hint of refinement. There was no offering or pairing of wines. Quite frankly the meal was subpar. Clearing the price tag was for the amount of food rather than the sophitication. On the other side of the coin, breakfast was ok. The staff were extremely nice, and friendly.

Wonderful 2-night stay. Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a couple nights in the Scottish winter. Attention to detail throughout. Excellent food too.

Superb boutique hotel. Very comfortable, excellent food in restaurant and great bar. Our room and bathroom were tastefully presented. Staff uniformly excellent and young bar man very much passionate about his cocktails and whiskies. Great start to our trip heading for NC500 and great central location to discover Perthshire. Would happily go back again.

Small hotel with an attractive garden style restaurant on the premises. Room was high quality, and the bathroom was excellent. Only stayed one night that was restful.

Lovely hotel with beautiful decor. Rooms very nice and food was first class. What made the visit most enjoyable though were the hotel staff. From Aileen on reception to the Manager (Lasse?) to the barman and waiting staff, they could not have been more friendly or attentive. This will ensure our return will be sooner rather than later.

The Cairn Lodge was excellent from start to finish. Food was first class both dinner and breakfast. Plenty of choice and very fresh. There was a comfortable lounge bar to relax in. Very clean in all areas. It will be our first choice the next time we visit this area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our stay at Cairn Lodge was absolutely superb in every respect. The quality of service and hospitality was quite exceptional and reflected a true five-star establishment. The genuine friendliness and caring attitude that we experienced from all levels of management and staff was second to none. The Garden Restaurant delivered food of the highest standard via a very well balanced menu underpinned by an extensive wine list that catered for every palate and budget. We are already booked to return with our family!

Felt very welcome the moment I arrived. Beautifull building and lovely interiors. Although my room was classed as small it was still much bigger than many other places I've stayed. Check in and check out were not smooth. Seemed to be having IT issues. But I woudl definietly go back.

The decor is lovely here-truly the most uniquely beautiful and tastefully designed rooms I’ve seen while traveling in Scotland over the years! The service from all staff members I’ve encountered has been exceptional in both willingness to go the extra mile to please and warmth, despite the challenging COVID restrictions placed upon hospitality in recent days. I had messaged the property the day before to request twin beds in one room and for a dinner reservation, and Louise immediately responded with positive replies. Our dinner was also excellent and was reasonably priced for this area and the five star experience provided. Both guest rooms we occupied were immaculate and beds extremely comfortable and when we arrived early to the property they arranged for our rooms to be ready hours before the promised time. We can’t wait to have our next stay!

My wife and I had a fantastic night away here. It was all exceptionally clean, decor - both in general and in our room - was beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious and service was attentive, friendly and highly professional. Highly recommended
