Great value, staff welcoming.

Liked having a restaurant on site. Wonderful bath towels. Convenient location for us.

Bed not so comfortable. Could have done with a hanger on back of bathroom door to hang towel after use.

Good sized room in a lodge attached to a large bar with outside garden and a lively restaurant. Excellent value for money and a great location. Evening meal selection was varied and our meal was excellent. Staff were all efficient and friendly.

Not much, only minor things such as the lack of a mirror in the bedroom.

The staff were excellent nothing was to much trouble carvery was excellent shower was good and the bed was really comfortable I had the best night sleep ever.

The room was over priced as although it was cleanish it needed a good paint and the furniture was scraped old and dated the bed was really comfy the bathroom was something out of of the 70ths the shower was good but a total refurb needed on the bathroom also the entrance door didn’t always close properly so it wasn’t always dhit which was a concern

Very helpful and polite staff, room was excellent, spacious and clean. Absolutely minimal hassle and an enjoyable experience.

The electric shower was very loud. Check out time is a bit early.

It was easy to find and Didn't have to leave after arrival. The staff were so lovely the food was fantastic and rooms and grounds were clean. Great for break in our journey.

If i was to nit pick ,the rooms could use a fan.

The restaurant and staff are amazing at this hotel, they are super dog friendly!

The rooms need updating and the cleaning needs to be checked! Lots of black hair all over the bathroom floor, not nice to see! Furniture and carpets need replacing as do the blinds! Bathroom could be lovely if toilet seat fitted correctly and there wasn’t so much chipped paint on the doors. There is also a lack of storage in the bathroom and shower.

Rooms clean and beds so comfortable. Staff are really nice and helpful. Place was clean and nothing to fault.

The room was clean and the shower was excellent. Decent sized TV and plenty of stuff to make hot drinks . There was a selection of toiletries and the towels were large. The bar and restaurant area is large abd clean. The continental breakfast was good.

Room 12 requires some tlc. The plaster is coming away around the entrance door. The blind fixing came away from the wall when I pulled the blind. It was loosely just fixed with a rawlplug.. There is no mirror in the room, the one in the bathroom isn't much use gor make up as the wash basin is in the way.

Brilliant night with family except bar staff the man with a beard needs a sense of humour transplant definitely feel that he thinks he is doing us a favour being there. We are all out having fun and his attitude absolutely stinks think the owners need to look at his customer care skills he belittles the rest of the team who are actually doing an amazing job

We don’t have hot shower in the evening. It was too late to call it in as got back late for the festival we went to. But as soon we reported this it was fixed

We stay often. Staff are helpful friendly. We can take our pets. Very convenient place. Both ways to access the A38 Both ways.

Great location for Donington Park. Helpful staff, clean and comfortable.

Shower water pressure was very weak, as it isn’t obvious that the ‘eco’ button needs to be pressed to turn ON the power and make the shower work correctly. It took us two days to realise that, and only by accident. I would recommend a note in the bathroom making this clear.

Exceptional value stay. The meal was truly amazing in pleasant surroundings. Bar smart and well stocked.

Awkward position of mirror in room. Lighting a bit dim. Not sure about the KING RAWN sizzler!

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Comfortable bed. Liked the location and that parking was available. Staff polite. Lady who did breakfast was great and welcoming.

Shower was good. Did not like the fact that the water did not run out freely.

Rump steak for dinner wasn't the best.

TV had not been tuned for a while, so i retuned it to obtain all Freeview channels. Some channels had no or poor reception, probably due to intermittent RF cable. Youtube did not work.

Fruit a little dry. Not fresh. But edible.

We liked the two-level accommodation very much, lounge area and shower room on the ground floor and a large bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine floor. Staff were exceptional, extremely helpful and attentive to us and our dog.

There was no non-slip mat for the shower or a hairdryer although the receptionist told me a non-slip mat was available on request so maybe a hairdryer would have been also. A notice to that effect in or around the shower room would have been helpful.

Lovely location which was good for where I needed to be for the weekend. I was only in need of a bed so didn’t use the restaurant for any meals. The place was comfortable and clean. The shower was incredible - better than most hotels I’ve stayed at.

Booked for a business conference with a colleague, rooms immaculately clean - did not have a hairdryer but one was quickly supplied by reception on request, plenty of parking - really convenient for A50/M1 at Derby. Friendly staff - swift check-in. Ate dinner on site - good menu with wide selection, continental breakfast but all fresh and again a good selection. Nice feel to the whole site. Not many rooms - quiet location surpringly. Would recommend.

This property is located not from the A38. Gives you easy access either way you need to go Parking is easy no extra charges. Always clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and always helpful. Good value. We return regularly.

My only complaint was that as a solo traveller, I didn't feel safe that the entrance to my room led directly on to the car park and road. I felt vulnerable.

I liked everything about this hotel. The price was good, the staff friendly, and the basic breakfast, included in the price was just fine. I'll stay there again if I'm in the area.

I was expecting better arrangements for the breakfast

My daughter booked this for Mother’s Day meal We’d been before a few times and that last time we were really disappointed but we’d been told it was under new management so thought it would be better but no we were disappointed yet again We had a carvery but when we went to get it there was no mashed potatoes then was told this has to be pre_ordered which wasn’t mentioned to us when we ordered. You are only allowed 2 roast potatoes which was ridiculous when there’s no other potato option either mash or boiled. The beef was really dry and overdone overall the carvery was below average 2 had the smashed burger but one didn’t eat it apart from one bite, they said it wasn’t a smashed burger just a bog standard burger. Not once did anyone come over to Ask if everything was ok. I know it was really busy but you should ensure you have sufficient staff to cover. We then sat for 25 mins waiting for someone to come and take our plates away and ask if we wanted desert. We were looking forward to desert as the cheesecake other customers had ordered looked lovely but after nearly 30 mins waiting we just decided to pay up and go home. We did try and attract the attention of a staff member but nobody even looked in our direction. My daughter had to go and find a member of staff so we could pay and leave. Was looking forward to coming back but I’m sorry but wish we hadn’t bothered.
