Great location connected to the Paragon mall. Not far from Old Town area and the train station. They offer an amazing breakfast with so many choices to help start off your day. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

I have been staying at this hotel, bi annually for the last 8 years. They employe the most amazing people, the service is brilliant. (Special shout to Hasna on reception and Adi in 1 of the few restaurants that the hotel has on site) The staff are always smiling and go above and beyond to offer you the most comfortable stay you will ever experience. Coupled with the amazing staff and great facilities, this hotel also offers very good value for money. Seriously, if you are lucky enough to visit Semarang, this hotel is a must. Most of the hotels are connected to shopping malls, the PO is located on the same site as the paragon mall. One of the better malls. I cannot speak highly enough of it this hotel A big thank you as always to the staff Andy (rm 908)

The location is perfect and very convenient, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

However, I was given a room with a clogged toilet. Although maintenance fixed it, the same issue happened again the next day. This is unacceptable. Rooms should be properly checked before being given to guests.

Good experience and excellent services

The hotel is absolutely stunning. We had 2 suites and they were both spacious. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive, very gracious, and the hotel is walking distance from the Old City. To make it even more convenient there is a huge mall attached to the hotel.

It was once a very good 4-5 Star hotel. Now 4

I booked the 2 rooms Suites. The floor was slippery, I don't know how the staff was cleaning it yet the floor is slippery and you can see the dirt is sticking to your feet. The hot water was unavailable and the manager justified the situation by claiming that their standard is 35 Celsius degree (a bogus claim when human body temperature is 36 degree and 35 degree will not feel warm at all) while the shower water tap clearly shows it should be 40 degree. There is no solution on hot water, the staff delivered the hot water in two buckets around 10.00 PM so I can only started bathing at 10.30 pm. The next morning, the hot water was still not available, where the children had to take cold shower in the morning. The technician came around 9.00 am to do something and after finished they told me to wait for half hour to ensure that the hot water will be available. I waited for 1 hour and it turned out, there was no water at all. After complaining, the staff said they will 'divert' (???) the water to my room and the water started to flow, but still it was still a lukewarm one. In the middle of bathing, I startled that the water was actually with mud and I had been bathing with one. It was clearly that the water pump and installation was not working. I decided to check out and not continuing staying there a d requested the refund for the second night. The process of the same was long and I continuedly requested them to make it fast because I need to take my children to lunch and I can only leave at 02.00 pm. In the end, the service and management action were so bad, they only doing the lip service in saying sorry but doing nothing to take the really action or find the right solution. Definitely will never stay in this hotel again.

This hotel is very nice and conveniently located in the city center. It is right next to a shopping mall, which makes everything very accessible. The room was clean and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed having a bathtub. The breakfast options were not very extensive, but the food tasted good and was satisfying. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel for its location and comfort.

Muss Zimmer wechseln da erste zimmer zu heiß war. Sobald die Sonne scheint die ganze Fenster-front wie eine sehr große Heizung wirkt. Die Klimaanlage war machtlos dagegen. Das 2. Zimmer war besser, hat aber nicht wie gewünscht zwei getrennten Betten. Teppiche im Etagenfluren sehen alt und schmutzig aus.

The window was so dirty that I couldn’t see the outside view at all. Thanks to the rain, I could see a little through a thin spot where the drops had cleared the glass. It felt almost like being in a detention camp, so this is going to be a bad memory for me.

The wifi signal inside the room was weak. Couldn't even make a video call without being near the corridor.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were helpfull and friendly, especially Heru and the staff on the 7th floor. My wife was having a cough and they immediately went away and come back with cough medicine. We loved the breakfast buffet, it offered many options for all tastes. The location was ideal, with everything within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

PO hotel is the priority hotel options for me when i stay in Semarang, convenience, clean, warm hotel staff. It would still be the first option.

The food is varied and delicious, especially the local Indonesian food. It is near shopping areas. The staff are polite and welcoming. The hotel facilities are good, but the hotel amenities look a bit old.

So I arrive, having requested an executive room and that evening proceed to the lounge. It is empty. I have to dial a number and a few minutes later a staff member appears. I ask for wine and then beer. No wine and you have to pay for a beer. As that doesn’t seem much point staying in the executive lounge, I go to find the bar. James‘s bar is a pool bar. Outside. It doesn’t look like this from the website. The alcohol I can purchase is beer gin or cognac. That’s it. This is hardly the stuff of five star hotels. Which the Po purports to be. The next day I pen my complaint on the appropriate form on the website. I ask for a response. There is no reply after 48 hours. I called the front desk and tell them that I’ve logged a complaint and they say they will pass it onto management. I hear nothing. And I’ve heard nothing up to this point. The significance of that I think is that it shows the regard management hold their customers in. My complaint aside, the staff are fantastic in that hotel. They are the Po’s greatest asset. And breakfast was amazing too. But I do not understand why they do not feel they need to respond to a legitimate complaint.

Overall all good but because the hotel is already old, you cannot expect like the new one popular in Semarang.. but for the price, the room and breakfast are worth it

I have stayed in this hotel many many times when it was managed by Crowne management, but when I stay this June under Po Management the service was terrible Firstly, they didn't let me check in at 12.30 PM, I know the hotel rules, but the others hotel will always help you to check in earlier, especially if you are from out of town Secondly, I got room 849 with broken Aircon then moved to 811, with better Aircon but still in not good performance since in the morning the aircon getting hot I think this will be the last time i stay in Po Hotel as the aircon broken not only in one room and also Semarang got many better choice of hotel

Everything is perfect except only one thing

I have really uncomfortable thing !!!!! That is internet connection !!!!! I can not fully watch YouTube or Netflix bt my laptop. Wifi signal continously has drorpped so it is very difficult to watch any streaming. Even I have to access to my company web for working. Something is happened. I can not work because very low level of internet connection and internet speed. I didn't have any internet issue when I was in Jakarta and Borgor during similar times (I was in jakarta and borgor one week ago) If you have to do something with internet, I can not recommend this hotel. It is very very terribles

Food was good. Hospitaly was good, Kania was very kind and looked after me very well. Room was big enough and the spa was good. Very convenient close to mall and speciality food was good. One of the best central location in Semarang. Visit it and check out

Poor room conditions and staff were not trained for a 5-star hotel. The hotel refused to accommodate a date change while the hotel was almost empty ! Staff were not properly trained to treat customers professionally, and many struggled to speak basic English. Gym was in bad condition. Broken equipments, damaged floors and leaking roofs The experience was like a 3.5-star hotel.

The room clean and spacious,the bed and the pillow comfort,bed sheet clean, the breakfast delicious,especialy for the service from the employee is very good. Next I will comeback with my family. Overall very comfort. The location next to the pollux/paragon mall.

Great stay, great service from all staff, polite & friendly. Breakfast & dinner at hotel restaurant is tasty and with many variety to choose from.

We have stayed at the Po hotel a few times before. Its location is excellent and all the staff are lovely. It’s the same problems as last time: it’s just a bit run down these days. The shower head wall holder was broken, the shower head itself squirted most of the water out the side, and the towels were still pretty old and threadbare. Some new towels and some minor renovation (new shower heads which cost pennies) would transform the hotel back to its former glory. If the management do read this review, please do try and get this little things fixed. The last issue is that the fire detectors flash a bright green light every few seconds. Fine in the daytime to check they are working but at night it’s like a strobe light right in your face. I am sure these don’t need to be like this. A couple of small issues that actually mean the stay is disappointing. Hopefully these will be rectified before we come back again next year. 🙏🙏

The Po hotel is great, in an amazing location above the mall. The staff are lovely and the hotel itself is really nice. Beds are so, so comfy. But …. The towels are old and threadbare, and the AC doesn’t get the room cold. I turned it to 16C and full fan, but the room was still like a furnace. The corridors and public areas were lovely and cool, but rooms were so hot. This could be an amazing hotel, just needs these two minor things fixed

Actualy I was a little hesitant about booking at this hotel again, I have booked twice in 2021, 2022 and found the room was not clean, But because I needed a large room for my family I was forced to try again hoping that the hotel will be improved It turns out even more disappointing, Room furniture too old n dusty, not well maintain at all Smelly bathroom, sink clogged even room telephone didn't work, we called the staff, the response was very slow we even have to come to receptionist since no staff coming after requested Iit really doesn't have 5 star value, Ffrom cleanliness, staff the nor the stabdard quality of services.

Should not call itself a 5 star property. Some staff tried to be helpful, but if AC is barely functioning, bed sheets have stains and the fridge don’t work may as well be camping. I’ve stayed at much better for much less.

Honestly, i stay in PO every time im semarang on business, but this year was a disaster. Everything was disappointing, the staff, the rooms the service. We had to cut our stay and change hotels.

The service had gone down majorly, we had 3 rooms booked and all 3 were dirty and service was horrendous!!
