Very clean, good quality and variety of food.

Honest review from someone who likes to stay luxury but was on a budget this year Hotel: Clean & well maintained Food: Really nice for all inclusive buffet, it’s a shame the other restaurants are also buffet as an à la carte sit down would’ve been nice, we tried the Mediterranean which was lovely but didn’t get to try the oriental as it was fully booked and shut on Sundays and Mondays (bizzare) Rooms: We had room 222 and it was HUGE we had a living room area as well as the bathroom and the balcony felt safe for my two year old. Bathroom was only one sink which was annoying at times but overall room was clean and standard, big beds and big TV. Pools: Main pool was great if you wanted entertainment and music but quite chaotic too, the upstairs pool near the splash park was perfect for us as our two year old could walk around in it and play and it was always quite quiet (aside from when older kids decided to be diving around it almost falling onto someone else’s toddler - quite disappointing as the pool is clearly for younger kids I’d say up to age 5/6. Pros: Nice hotel, fun entertainment team, nice food & drink queues were never too long. Amazing pool for toddlers. Self service drinks throughout the day for soft drinks. Cons: Entertainment finishes at 11 and bar closes at 11:30 this was fine for us but for those with older kids or couples could be annoying as it is early. Queue for breakfast was annoying too but it does go down quickly. No baby changing facilities in all the toilets. No service, everything is self serve. They ran out croissants at breakfast a lot (or maybe that’s because I also saw a man with about 12 in a plastic bag)
I am not sure where to even begin with this hotel but first let me point out the positives the hotel is spotless and our room was clean but after that it goes downhill and it's not just the hotels fault but Holiday representatives should clearly state this is a hotel for young families only and not for older couples in their fifties. If you like to queue up to get into breakfast and then like vultures get food you will love it,and on that note they turn off the coffee machines before breakfast has even finished and as for the cold drink dispenser get in early as people fill there bottles with fizzy drinks and then all you get is water coming out. At lunchtime you don't get a choice of having a coffee as they don't bother turning the coffee machines on. Evening entertainment is strictly a child affair even after 9pm you get children running around screaming and shouting so don't expect any peace. We were on the 1st floor of the main building and we were going on a Seville day trip and had to be up at 5.00am so decided on an early night we were still trying to get to sleep at gone 10.30pm as children were running up and down the corridor screaming and laughing, at one point I heard a person telling them to shut up ,it was late. If you are a vegetarian your choice is limited and if you have digestive issues most of the food Is covered in oil. Algarve is beautiful but if your looking for a hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday dont pick this one . One of the other things we noted was low water pressure so having a bath took time it would have also been nice if they utilised there reception area to include a bar and maybe some music especially at night if you wanted a quieter environment.
We've just returned from another stay at the 3HB Guarana, and once again it didn't disappoint. This was our fourth visit, and it's reassuring when somewhere you've built up in your mind as being excellent actually lives up to your memories. In fact, I'd say it just keeps getting better. The first thing that strikes you is the cleanliness. It is honestly second to none. The housekeeping and cleaning teams work tirelessly, and there is always someone cleaning somewhere. Every morning you wake up and it genuinely feels as though the entire hotel has been reset overnight. Every area is spotless, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the rooms are cleaned to an exceptionally high standard. The rooms themselves are very comfortable. If I had to make any suggestions, the pillows could do with being a little more supportive, and in our room (069) the balcony door wouldn't lock properly. We never reported it, and I'm confident maintenance would have resolved it quickly had we done so, so I don't see it as a criticism of the hotel—more a heads-up if anyone happens to stay in that room before it's noticed. The pool areas are lovely, and the splash park remains a massive hit with children. The bar staff are always smiling, friendly and welcoming, while the animation team work incredibly hard to keep guests of all ages entertained throughout the day and evening. The food is another real highlight. There is always an excellent choice, it's consistently good quality, and even the fussiest of eaters would struggle not to find something they enjoy. The pastel de nata are heaven on a plate! We also noticed that the snack bar now keeps its glass doors closed, which has almost completely solved the issue of birds getting inside. You still occasionally see one or two birds in the main restaurant, but considering it's an open environment, I'm not sure what more the hotel could realistically do. The only slight negative during our stay wasn't really the hotel's fault. On a few occasions there were some particularly unruly children running around the splash park, pushing other children, swearing and throwing footballs. At one point they practically cleared the splash park because other families simply left. The same group could often be seen racing around the hotel in the evenings, generally being disruptive. We choose the Guarana partly because it's a higher-quality hotel with a more relaxed atmosphere, so it was disappointing to encounter this. A little more supervision around the splash park at busy times might help, as there wasn't a lifeguard present during those incidents. That said, one experience towards the end of our holiday reminded us exactly why we keep returning here. We travel with our seven-year-old son, who is autistic, has a severe learning disability, ADHD and is non-verbal. On our final day the weather turned cloudy, so we decided to use the indoor pool instead. Unfortunately, some of the same noisy children were there, and because of the acoustics in the indoor pool area the noise became overwhelming for our son. He was beginning to show clear signs of distress. We were about to leave when, without us saying a word, the lifeguard noticed what was happening. He called me over and explained that he was going to contact a manager to help resolve the situation. Afterwards, I thanked him, and he told me he has family members with autism, recognised the signs immediately, and simply wanted to help. I can honestly say we've never experienced such proactive support from a member of staff anywhere we've travelled. He didn't wait to be asked—he recognised a family struggling and stepped in because he understood. That level of awareness can't always be taught through training alone, and he is an absolute credit to 3HB. If the hotel ever chose to become officially recognised as autism-friendly, he would be one of its greatest ambassadors. I didn't catch his name, but he had a shaved head and glasses. Overall, this remains one of the best all-inclusive hotels we've stayed in. The staff are genuinely wonderful, the cleanliness is exceptional, the food is excellent, and in our opinion it comfortably exceeds what you would normally expect from a four-star hotel. We'll definitely be back next summer.
My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights in the summer holidays and we had a great time. The area is really lovely and it is an easy 20 minute taxi ride into Albufeira if you want to explore the town. The resort itself is quite small compared to other all inclusive we’ve stayed in, but it had everything we needed. Most of the action happens in the main pool area but there are other pools/kids play areas you can go to. Although most of the sun loungers are reserved with towels in the morning, we still always managed to find a space. The pool area is well looked after and the staff are generally friendly too. We went to the gym which was decent, although remember to register your card at reception before going there! The room was very clean and we slept well on the comfy beds. The food here is DELICIOUS- the best we’ve had at an all inclusive. There was a huge amount of choice and the food was good quality too. It was a nice touch to have the different restaurants and options for eating throughout the day. Unfortunately, the oriental restaurant was closed on the nights we tried to book, which was a shame as it looked nice! You can pour your own drinks at the restaurants too which is great. The entertainment team were great during the day, keeping the energy up but not being too pushy for you to join in either. We found the evening entertainment to be a bit mediocre, and more aimed at the children, even late at night. The magic show was decent and the Ibiza style live music was great. Shout out to Miguel Garrana! As it is a popular jet 2 and easyJet holiday destination, it is mostly English guests, so if you’re looking to get a bit more of the Portuguese culture, I would consider whether 3HB is the vibe you want. We booked through jet 2 and of course going in the holidays, we expected this. I could not fault jet 2 at all for this trip as everything was great! One thing to note is that there is a weird culture to queue for absolutely everything (even the bar, making the service slower), but that might just be an us issue! If you're looking for somewhere to soak up some sun and relax by the pool, this resort is a great choice! We had a fantastic time and felt really welcomed by the staff. Plus, who doesn’t love the opportunity to have a pastel de nata for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
The hotel is designed for young families - which we are not (we were there as part of a wedding party). Even so we loved the hotel. Every single member of staff we met was cheerful and friendly. The room was lovely and the bathroom looked like it had never been used. There are loads of sunbeds around the pool area but we used the raised sun decks which was a bit quieter. Food in the main restaurant was fantastic (better than a 'luxury' adult-only hotel we stayed in this year). We never had to queue for anything. We were only there three nights but would have loved to have stayed longer to have enjoyed more of the facilities and restaurants.
Conceito familiar e o serviço. Profissionais bem dispostos e disponíveis
This is a beautiful hotel. Modern and clean with welcoming and friendly staff. The location is great and close to lots of attractions (via taxi/uber). Rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday. Great value for money with the free child place. Lots of choice of food and drinks and all the restaurants are great. Load of sun loungers available and a choice of pools to suit all. Only thing that could be improved is the evening entertainment. More variety would be great and starting earlier too. We will come back.
Amazing holiday but on our second last night me and my girlfriend had some music on and having fun on the balcony and before we knew it two holiday members rushed into our room when we were naked. We were Where not loud at all. We also had a 9 month old baby in our room who wasn’t even disturbed by this music but we as disturbed by the people banging down our door.
Exccelent experience if you have kids it is perfect for you really kind staff they make the place so fun there is a entertainment team who entertain kids and adults to make sure you have mkre fun they have a kids club five pools 4 are outsid two are baby pools and indoor poll and jacuzzi 5 stars
Fantastic hotel – we will definitely be returning! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our first time staying here, and we will definitely be coming back. I read the reviews very carefully before booking and also followed the hotel’s Facebook page, so I had pretty high expectations — and honestly, there wasn’t a single thing we could fault! The hotel really does have something for everyone. Everything is kept incredibly clean and tidy, and all the staff we came across were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The activities and entertainment are fantastic, with so many little extras that really make the holiday special. From carnival nights for the children to pool parties, there is always something going on. The list of activities seems endless, and there’s plenty to keep both adults and children entertained. Food 🍽️ The main buffet was busy, which is to be expected in August, but the food was to a very high standard with lots of choice. There was also plenty of seating outside. You can also visit the two themed restaurants during your stay. These are also buffet-style but offer something a little different from the main restaurant, which was a lovely option. Drinks 🍹 There is a fantastic selection of branded drinks and an extensive cocktail menu. I noticed a few comments about the cocktails coming from machines, but personally I thought this was a great idea. The branded spirits are connected to the machines so that precise measures are dispensed into the glass, which I imagine helps reduce waste and allows the staff to serve people quickly, especially around the pool bar. And just to clarify — it’s proper branded alcohol being dispensed in measured amounts, not cheap syrup from a machine! It’s actually a really efficient system. Pool & rooms 🏊♀️ The pool areas are lovely and incredibly clean. We had a sea-view room on one of the top floors, which had a beautiful view. Despite travelling during peak season, we were really impressed with the availability of sunbeds. A couple of mornings we went out and didn’t return until around 1–2pm, and we could still find sunbeds for our family of four. There are also plenty of beds on the large balcony area, so there are options if the pool area is busy. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The hotel, staff, food, drinks, activities and cleanliness were all brilliant. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into making sure guests have a great holiday. We absolutely loved it and will 100% be returning! ❤️

Everything was wonderful
Everything on site
It seemed more than 300m to the beach
The beach below the hotel.
Worst value ever for £425 a night . Room looked over a concrete block.
As an autistic man the amount of balloons there was horrendous plus the area is awful and the jet2 company was awful I would never go there again
We absolutely loved our stay at 3HB Guaraná! We originally booked 7 nights, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to extend our holiday for another 4 nights — and I think that explains everything! 😊 The staff were fantastic, always friendly, helpful and happy to assist with anything we needed. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety. Having different restaurants to choose from was a huge bonus and meant there was always something new to try. The hotel also has beautiful pools, and there was plenty of entertainment throughout the day and in the evenings. There was always something going on, but it never felt overwhelming. We honestly loved absolutely everything about this hotel and had such a fantastic holiday. We would definitely return in the future and would happily recommend 3HB Guaraná to anyone looking for a great all-inclusive holiday! ❤️
Staff and service excellence. Had a bit I’d a hiccup at check but all sorted. Thank to Marie for sorting the issue along with the friendly Reception staff. Second stay at the hotel and would definitely return
Had a very enjoyable five days at the hotel. Location is good, around 30 minutes from Faro airport, 5 minutes walk to a small beach and 15 minutes taxi to Albufeira town. The food was pretty good, decent amount of choice in the buffet restaurant although after five days it was getting a bit repetitive. The swimming pools were good, including one with a swim up bar. The entertainment team were excellent during the daytime. All the staff were friendly and all spoke good English. The rooms were fine, although the shower was a bit temperamental, hot one moment then cold the next. Hairdryer didn’t work. But those are minor issues. All in all it is a decent place for a week or so. Five days was enough for us as it is quite small.
A strong four star hotel! Family-oriented so can get busy but we stayed for a week and never queued for any food or drinks for longer than two minutes. The buffets were themed differently each night, but with the usual same bits for fussier children (fries, pizzas, hot dogs, burgers etc.) The hotel staff were superb and friendly, helping at every opportunity. The rooms were clean and tidy, serviced every single day. The pools offered enough variety and games each day to keep my five and seven year-olds entertained. The local shops for food and souvenirs are less than a five minute walk away. The local beaches are less than a ten minute walk, or a slightly longer fifteen minute walk if you prefer a scenic board walk. The only thing stopping me giving it a fifth star is that a true five star offers luxury and a little more peace. This is a brilliant family hotel and is high quality for a fair price.
Beautiful hotel only about 30 minutes from the airport. We had a fabulous time as a family of four and two grandparents. We booked family rooms which were a good size, lovely balcony overlooking the swimming pools. Always exceptionally clean and the cleaning staff did a brilliant job! All inclusive food and drink was fantastic. A super selection for every meal and different options every day. The dishes were delicious and it was so lovely to see the chefs looking proud of their creations too! You could see lots of the food prepared and we all loved it (aged 6-60). Special mention for the pancakes, steak (Mediterranean restaurant) and baked Alaska!! We only visited the Mediterranean restaurant once as it was fully booked so I do recommend booking the other restaurants as soon as you arrive. The pools and daytime entertainment was fabulous. The pools are a little cool to start with but lots of hours spent having fun. The entertainment staff were so enthusiastic and our girls especially enjoyed the pool party! The adults loved the bar in the pool too! In general, the hotel is exceptionally clean, the staff are brilliant and couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming and we had a fantastic holiday. We would definitely return and so glad we picked this hotel to visit. Also recommend using Uber for travelling to the beach and Albufeira harbour (dolphin and cave tours were great). Only had to wait a couple of minutes for pick-ups and drop offs. Beaches nearby are lovely but lots of steps/hill down just for those with limited mobility (or moaning children) so we used Ubers to help.
Stayed here for the 3rd time in around 10 years - the previous time was 7 years ago as we liked it that much Needless to say the place hasn’t really changed apart from the huge upper wooden decking that wraps around the pool area. Cannot really fault the place Food is great with huge variety and with 2 other restaurants to also choose from. The pool is freezing no matter what time of year it is The only thing that does let the hotel down is the entertainment on an evening if you stay more than a week (we stayed 10 nights) it does get very repetitive and the entertainment team are not very good That said - will probably go back in a few years time
Lots of positives to this hotel but the evening entertainment really lets it down. Positives Loads of variety and great quality food. Sushi at the Oriental restaurant is superb. Hotel is really clean and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Really easy to get sunbeds and no mad dash needed in the mornings. Not so positives Evening entertainment is really really poor. The worst I’ve ever encountered in an all inclusive. No good shows and just karaoke or rubbish quizzes. Made the evenings incredibly boring for everyone which was such a disappointment as the evening shows are normally our favourite part of holidays!
We cannot rate this hotel highly enough! We have had one of the best holidays here. Check in was smooth and efficient. The rooms are spacious and spotless. We overlooked the pool so got the evening sun which was perfect on the balcony whilst getting ready for the night. The entertainment team are fantastic. There's always something going on so you could never be bored. Good selection of drinks, Super Bock, Sagres, top shelf gin and vodka, slushes and nice cocktails. Also good selection of sugar free drinks too. The snack bar is probably the best we've been to, toasties, baguettes, chips, hotdogs, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips, sweet potato fries, cake, ice cream...the works! They really cater well for vegetarians too! Myself and daughter normally just survive on chips, bread and pasta. But at this hotel we have had a fantastic choice all week, at all the restaurants on site. Evening entertainment is hit and miss but we always had fun watching it. There is also some nice cocktail bars a few minutes walk from the hotel to venture out. Just want to make a special mention to our cleaner Simone...our room 227 and our daughters room 230 were cleaned spotlessly everyday and we had a different towel animal each day too which was brilliant 👏 Thank you Simone xx We were celebrating our honeymoon and the hotel put rose petals, a bottle of champagne and a lovely note in our room aswell which was a lovely gesture. All in all we would 100% return to this hotel which is something we dont really like to do but definitely would here! Thank you for the wonderful memories we've made this year ❤️
Plenty of sunbeds all the time. Staff nice, helpful and attentive Pools not heated and not the deepest, but very big. People are right about there being a lot of kids but it wasn't like being in a playground. Was absolutely fine with my girlfriend (both 21), no problem unless you don't like children at all. Food is good not great. 10-15 minute walk to beach. Travelling to town centre or other towns will require an uber. Room was well cleaned, pretty big and very nice. Plenty of bars (pool bar, wet bar, sport bar, + another bar) and lots of places to eat including a snack bar throughout the day. Soft drinks, beer and cider are self serve.
We had a lovely holiday at this hotel and really cannot fault anything. The hotel is spotless. The cleaners don’t stop all day. Even the pool area gets a thorough clean on an evening. We had a family twin room. Very spacious with plenty of storage. Food was lovely. Plenty of choice and something for everyone. The desserts were also very nice. Normally i don’t touch dessert as they look good but taste of nothing but not here! The two additional restaurants are a nice change, the oriental had lovely sushi. Drinks were also very nice. Different beers available along with cocktails that all tasted fine. There are self serve pumps for water, soft drinks and beer. Wine at the restaurant. I took advantage of the spa and had a lovely massage. They regularly advertised 30% off! My 5 year old loved the kids club once he decided he would try it. They did a variety of activities and the staff were lovely. All the entertainment team were amazing. So friendly and full of energy but not pushy. They work so hard all day and there are a variety of things to do if you want to join in. The pool party on a Thursday is so much fun for everyone and everyone did seem to get involved. The entertainment on a night was ok. A few nights its music/singer. The white night is a Saturday and is a disco with a raffle. The fair is fun for the kids and thats a Friday. Mini disco is every night at 8. The pools were clean and fresh!! Yes they are cold but once your in they are fine. Big floats not allowed only small rings. We chose portugal due to it being breezy and as we were going in July didn’t want it to be too hot.. the breeze is really nice and does make it feel cooler than it is which was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any families. My advice is get a uber from the airport but please advise your rep! It would have cost us 25euro however we did take the coach and we waited over 1 hr for people who never even turned up and then it was nearly 2 hours on the coach as we were the last drop.
We stayed for 7 nights in late June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had 3 rooms in the family and they were all of a good standard. They were cleaned daily and the maid left us animals made from towels which were cute. The staff in the hotel were all friendly, especially the chap in the sports bar, who was hilarious each time we joined him for the football, especially when England were playing. The food in the restaurant was always good, and the oriental restaurant was extremely good. The location of the hotel is such that you can have a stroll outside the hotel at night to a few local bars. We visited the sea one day, but spent most days at the many pools. There were always lots of spare beds, and we managed to get 6 together every day. We don’t return to places we’ve previously stopped in, but if we did, we’d definitely revisit this hotel.
Booked for our family holiday, as our kids always break up early. 7 nights, could not fault this hotel. Very clean and was constantly kept clean, plenty sunbeds available even during busier time towards the end of our holiday. Atmosphere amazing, staff very polite, friendly and very helpful. Felt safe as very important when you have young children. Close to beach and shops and bars down the road, but felt like a quieter location which we loved. Used Uber and Bolt (discounts available) not too expensive to get to old town. Rooms spacious and loved that we were laced near our friends as well on the same ground floor which was easier with pram and kids. Spa amazing, access to pool with kids especially as baby found outdoor pools too cold. Could access daily and twice a day. Late breakfast option was a game changer as not all hotels offer this option, so didn't need to worry about missing breakfast if we wanted a lie in. Food was lovely, Mediterranean restaurant was the best. Asian restaurant was ok, but more like Indo- Chinese food. Snack bar fab food too, loved the walnut and almond cakes with gluten free options available! Ice poles available definitely needed them and slushies for kids, but also fab drinks. Good entertainment be it by the pool or in the evening with live music which we loved. Bouncy castle day got overwhelming so we went out for the evening. But great for kids. Only suggestion is to hire out ironing boards and irons to the rooms rather than in the laundry area only. Not practical. Also highly suggest staff remove towels off sunbeds where people reserve them before breakfast Nd don't return back for hours. Plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day but joggers do not help! Would be first come first serve basis only. Would return to this hotel for another holiday but would like a larger room as kid are getting older. Thank you for making our holiday lovely.
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the 3HB Guaraná hotel as two families with children aged 12–15, and we all had a brilliant holiday. The hotel itself is absolutely spotless. Everywhere is kept incredibly clean, and you can see how hard all the staff work. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, pleasant and always happy to help, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The all-inclusive offering is excellent, with plenty of variety to suit everyone. We really liked that you can book into both the Mediterranean and Oriental restaurants as part of the package, which made a nice change. The sports bar is a fantastic addition, and I particularly loved that the snack bar feels like another restaurant rather than just a typical poolside snack bar. There are also plenty of places around the hotel to grab a drink, so you never have to go far. The pool areas are excellent. We didn't use the smaller pool by the splash area, but it looked great for younger families. We mainly used the two larger outdoor pools—the quieter one was perfect for relaxing, while the larger pool had a great atmosphere with activities and entertainment throughout the day. One thing worth mentioning is the sunbeds. They aren't the most comfortable and are positioned quite close together, but there are so many available around the hotel that there was never any need to get up early or join in any "sunbed wars." We enjoyed having a lie-in most mornings and still had no problem finding somewhere to sit. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The only small improvement we'd suggest would be better beds for teenagers, but after busy days in the sun and around the pools, they slept well every night and certainly didn't complain. The entertainment team struck the perfect balance. We didn't join in with every activity, but the ones we watched or participated in were really enjoyable. The team were enthusiastic without ever being pushy, which we appreciated. The evening entertainment was good overall, and the live band was particularly excellent. Like others have mentioned, the coffee machines aren't the hotel's strongest point. I actually took my own coffee sachets and just added hot water at breakfast. However, I found the machine in reception made the best coffee, and the pool bar staff were always happy to make a fresh coffee too. I was also pleasantly surprised that they served zero-alcohol beer—a definite bonus for me! The beach accessed via the steps is beautiful and well worth visiting. We also walked down to the smaller beach further along the road, which was much busier, but it was nice to stop for a drink and an ice cream while exploring the nearby shops. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel for families. It offers great facilities, excellent food, hardworking staff and a relaxed atmosphere that made for a truly enjoyable holiday. We would definitely recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to return.
I rarely leave reviews but I have to for this hotel. We went as a family of three, including a pregnant wife and 3 year old toddler and I was nervous before going having seen some of the negative reviews. Positives: Sunbeds - there are probably enough sun beds for each guest to have two if they want to. There are loads free on the top deck if you fancy some peace and quiet. Entertainment - the entertainment team are energetic and they keep the vibes going from after breakfast all the way up to after 10pm. Food - there was plenty of choice available at the buffet and the Mediterranean buffet was sensational. As my wife is pregnant the chef cooked steak well done for my wife and brought it to our table. Cleanliness - cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Every square inch of the hotel in and out is cleaned every single day. Pools - four pools including a pool bar and some indoor pools for those scared of water which some may call 'cold'. Something for everyone including kids. The splash park is amazing for kids. Bars - there are plenty around the hotel and you can serve yourself. Any drink you can think of is available and they have 4 lagers on draft and 2 ciders on draft. Negatives: Main buffet - not a negative for me because I love fish, but one night there were no meat options at all just fish. Oriental restaurant - good but the hot options were limited. The water bottles you receive when you check in are a nice touch. I've travelled a lot and this is the best 4 star hotel I've ever stayed at. We will definitely be back.
The thing that stood out was how clean the rooms and hotel was. It did not feel out dated at all. Very well maintained. Room service was excellent too. The room itself felt smaller than expected but was overall fine. We travelled with a baby and 4 year old. The hotel was perfect for families with children. Plenty of activities and amenities on site. Food choice was great and the drink selection was good too - although I feel like there could have been some more premium choices made available. Staff were friendly and polite and willing to help. The only major issue we experienced is that lifts were often out of service, which was frustrating at times but did not impact overall experience. I would stay again.
This is a large well managed hotel, but pretty much everything is very much focused on young children. The only adult only areas are the gym and a brief swim time in the indoor pool in the mornings. The restaurants are generally very good, but standards slipped occasionally. There was undercooked chicken once in the curry and the rice was undercooked. The person collecting the plates seemed completely nonplussed about this when we mentioned the issue so doubt this was ever fed back. Also the mini-disco is outside right next to the restaurant so you have to eat your dinner listening to 'delights' like Baby Shark... The oriental buffet was excellent. A major positive in the pool area was the amount of sun loungers, there was never a need to get up at crack of dawn to reserve one. However, the pool areas are really noisy, the animation team pumps out really loud music through most of the day. Because of the layout, it is impossible to escape the noise. Also, none of the pools are reserved for adults only. The evening entertainment is pretty poor. This is also taken over by the childre. One night there was a decent singer, but parents allowed their toddlers to run around, chase each other and scream throughout the performance. This is of course not the hotel's fault, but demonstrates the ambience of the place. The sustainability efforts are pretty good, we loved the refillable water bottles, saves a lot of plastic. The cleaners work really hard and everywhere is pretty spotless. The village itself has nothing much in it (assume due the number of all-inclusive resorts), but the large beach reached by the steps is fabulous. Vilamoura and Albufeira are both a short taxi ride away. Overall we had a lovely holiday, but would definitely only recommend the hotel for families with young children and babies.
I’d like to say a big thank you to Adriana in Guest Relations for providing a birthday cake/card & wine for my relative who stayed for 10 days. Adriana was efficient and very helpful and kept me informed at all times. Thanks again.
O staff foi absolutamente incrível, a comida era ótima, os quartos muito confortáveis, as atividades foram super divertidas, a piscina era incrível… enfim, não podia estar mais satisfeita com a minha estadia. Para o ano regresso!
Gostei de tudo!
Coming near the end of our seven day family holiday. Hotel is lovely and clean Staff are lovely and very hard working - thank you for the fizz and card for my birthday and the lovely call wishing me Happy Birthday, it was a lovely touch. Entertainment team are great and always on the go, lots of activities for all. Grandaughter loved the Tiki splash park, the large children's pool next to the Tiki splash (part of the pool has over head coverage (great for little ones). Pool party was great, be ready to get splashed. Plenty if sunbeds around the hotel grounds. Food has been great, always a good choice. One thing I would suggest, if you can use the stairs then do so. Lifts can take a while to get which we found with having a 4 month old baby and pram.
Very friendly staff. Food was excellent, particularly liked the oriental restaurant. Joao from the pool side bar staff was always friendly and stopped for a chat when collecting the glasses. Always had a good selection of food available. The room and pool areas were always kept very clean. New towels in the room whenever we needed them. Overall would recommend this hotel for families or couples that don’t mind having children around.
Lovely
Sun beds too close together No bottled water
The room was excellent, has a very nice view. Nice pools, Amazing restaurants and bars. The staff was also amazing
The indoor pool felt extra chlorinated.
Def not a 4 star plus More like a 3 star Poor area not much going on average bars and restaurants Bit tired and tacky We went out for evening meals to Villamoura by taxi Rooms clean Pool area clean and plenty of beds Food plenty but average felt like a canteen environment We were all inclusive and the cocktails poor and local cider not good Has better entertainment elsewhere We had just come back from another 4 star in Portugal two weeks earlier and it was far far superior Never go back
Stayed here for 10 days in end June/ early July as a family for 4 with 4 and 2 year old girls. Key highlights: The hotel and pool are very clean, clearly the hotel invests in this area and it really shows. There are multiple pools - some busier than others but lots of space. There are 100s of sun loungers so never any problems getting one - although the hotel should provide some tables alongside them. As others have said they’re also very compressed - we stacked a couple either side to give us some more space. I saw a few people getting up early to claim sun beds (saddos) but this isn’t really needed unless you’re adhd about where you sit. Our experience of the the staff is they were largely very professional, and when my daughter lost her soft toy they went out of their way to try and find it ( which they did 3 days later!) special shout out to the animation team who worked super hard all day - especially at the end of the day at the kids disco - my daughters loved the dance parties. Both myself and wife used the gym - pretty basic but you can get an ok workout in - we both also did some runs in the local area which was good to get out and about I’d say the food was solid, not spectacular, defo in line with what I’d expect for a 4 star. I’d say ~50% of the menu was consistent, with different options available each night - but don’t expect daily menu changes or themed nights. The med and oriental restaurants provide some different options but we did eat out a few times to change it up. The drinks menu is ok as well - for me I loved it as sagres and superbok taps are dotted around the bar and restaurant areas so you can help yourself, but my partner was a bit disappointed no aperol spritz. I would also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle as they have water stations with a never ending supply of ice. This is a very family focused hotel so prepare for noisy and chaotic meal times - if you’re a young or older couple who want a relaxing evening meal, or you’re very fussy about food the main buffet is not for you! The local area is really nice. There is a little beach with restaurants/ bars about 10 mins walk away. We also got Ubers to albufeira (£10) and a local water park - splash and slide (£30) would recommend as a day out! For improvements I’d say 1. Space out the sun loungers 2. Invest in the gym a bit more 3. Make the beer taps colder 4. Try and be more expansive with the food 5. Sort out the coffee - it’s awful. I would certainly return here, and would recommend to friends. Overall a great stay and the happy memories made.
What a great stay, mediterranean restaurant was the best. Shout out to Walter, Luis and Eugenio. Walter, I’m sorry is taking so long to post this feedback. But better late than never. You were outstanding with your service and attention to detail. The whole family was really pleased and happy is not even a word to describe how you made us feel. Outstanding, I hope life smiles back at you and things workout well in the future. Big thanks from all of us and I hope the hotel recognises your dedication. Saludos amigo Sin más Jose, the cuban dude from scotland
Great staff great rooms food was fantastic choices, great sun bed setup around the pools cannot fault this holiday we stayed in room 202 great views ask for anything and they help you I asked for a kettle took my own teabags lol bed is very comfortable slept like a baby will be back like many other people we met all the staff are great thank you to 3HB Guarana Portugal ❤️🥰
This was our 2nd visit to this hotel This time as a family group ages 59-19 Check in was easy rooms were ready Rooms lovely pool view lovely firm beds Food plentiful lots of choice and flexible sittings so you can choose when you want to eat Pools lovely always sun beds available swim up bar and jacuzzi lovely . Animation team friendly but not pushy when it came to activities Evening entertainment good good 80s night This is a family orientated hotel which we didn’t mind however if you want a quiet holiday maybe this isn’t for you as lots of young children here .
We've just returned from a Jet2 holiday with this hotel. Overall, really good for the price we paid! Spotlessly clean, lovely spacious room and sensible bathroom layout. It was always pretty easy to get a sun lounger, though they do pack them in. The food was consistently good, if a little samey. Lots of vegetarian options, as a veggie it was easy for me. We ate at the oriental restaurant one night, which was lovely but would have been nice to have table service too. Great splash park and kids play area, and the shaded kids pool on the upper deck area was really great to keep the little ones out of the sun. Other pools all good. To be clear, they are not heated including the baby pool. On day 1 of our holiday the main pool was a bit nippy, but after a couple of days of consistent 30 degrees heat all the pools were a really pleasant temperature. The beach is really nearby - two different beach options are within a short walk, though with lots of steps so worth considering bringing a backpack carrier rather than buggy if you have little ones. At checkout we weren't able to get a late checkout although our flight wasn't til late evening, but there is luggage storage and we were able to use the facilities all day. There are well equipped showering and changing areas in the indoor pool and this was fine for us to get ready for the flight after spending the last day around the pool. However, the reason this isn't a 5 star review is that there were some niggles. This is advertised as a 4+ star hotel. What really let it down was the entertainment. During the day, the music at the main pool is ear-splittingly loud and you can't really get away from it. I would expect the entertainment on offer to be a little bit classier too in the evenings. The only places to go for a drink in the hotel are the sports bar or the main bar where the entertainment is on - it is really lacking a chilled out lounge bar sort of environment. The Friday entertainment was a funfair which was really good - a bit different, with games and candy floss, popcorn and bouncy castle for kids. It was genuinely fun. However the other nights were kareoke heavy and the live music was frankly a blast from a past that existed before I was born. The only music I heard from the last 20 years was baby shark at the kids disco. There is also no light on the balcony of the rooms, which was disappointing as it's a very family oriented place and we would have liked to sit on the balcony and play cards etc once the kids were asleep. Overall, a really good holiday and a few changes would make it absolutely brilliant.
Service was excellent from the moment we arrived till the day we left. Good entertainment for the kids. Would definitely visit again. No extra hidden charges like other hotels 😃
Great family holiday with our 2 young children. We booked this hotel last year after doing a bit of research and seeing it was suitable for young children. The facilities, staff, food are all fantastic. The only downside to our holiday was the fact that it seems a number of couples without children seem to book this hotel, unknowing that it is clearly targeted towards young families. This proved evident especially at meal times. Young children naturally make a bit of a mess and can be loud during meal times which is completely understandable however we received a lot of remarks and sniggering especially during evening meals from couples without children. When our children made a bit of mess or dropped cutlery etc we received sarcastic comments or got looked up and down which made meal times edgy and unenjoyable despite the fantastic food. I also witnessed this a few times with other families with young children dining. After reading a few other reviews it seems clear that some people are unaware that this is a hotel aimed towards young families. My suggestion would be to advertise this as a family hotel more clearly through the tour operator websites as I think it can be a bit misleading until reading reviews on trip advisor etc. I think maybe creating an adults only dining area in the main buffet restaurant would also be beneficial for young families and couples staying in the hotel. Despite this we are hoping to return in the next few years.
The hotel is really attractive and well decorated, and everything was spotlessly clean — that’s why we’ve given 2 stars. Sadly, that’s all that was good: • Food: As all‑inclusive, meals were unsafe — undercooked meat, hard potatoes, raw pastries. We had to pay extra to eat elsewhere. • Kids’ Club: Advertised as supervised, but very unreliable. Our daughter was brought back after only 30–45 minutes each time. Staff were uninterested, often on their phones, and rude when she had a small accident. She refused to go back, so we got no time to relax at all. • Pool area: Cracked tiles and uneven decking make it a trip and cut risk. It could be a great hotel, but the service and quality are not worth the money.
Excellent holiday, we struggled to find faullt. Rooms were a lovely size, beds really comfy. Cleaners did an amazing job all over the hotel, from restaurant, bars and rooms. All staff were friendly. Food was lovely we tried one off the restaurants which was lovely. We went to both beaches near the hotel both lovely. 20euros for 2 beds and umbrella for the day. We loved our time and will return at some time. Must say it was getting busier when we left and think it might have been a different experience for us a week later.
Hotel is great Spotless at all times , pool area is great and tho busy plenty of space The entertainment team are great and don't stop the evening entertainment needs to improve tho as it's not the best Food all great lovely fresh and lots of choices Rooms are good and we benefited fe a bigger room altho preferred the Humbria suite setup So handy to jump In an uber Staff are all helpful Great hotel would come back but like to try other places
Absolutely loved the talented lady on our floor who cleaned our rooms. She made animals out of the towels! Everyday a new animal! I was so Impressed. X
Me gustó mucho el ambiente y tal
Que no hubiera tiendas dentro del hotel
I travelled with my partner, our 15 month old daughter and my parents and we stayed at 3HB Guarana for a week at the start of June 2026. It was our first family holiday with our daughter and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel for us. Food Choices were plentiful and we always found something good (my partner and I are vegetarian and found there to be good options every day apart from one). We also dined in the Mediterranean and Asian restaurants with the Asian being particularly good. The Mediterranean was slightly lacking in vegetarian options but we had somewhat expected this. The snack bar is open throughout the day which was useful if our daughter slept through lunch times in the main restaurant. The breakfast pancakes were a particular highlight, the freshest I have ever had an all inclusive hotel. Drinks The drinks on offer were easily accessible with minimal queuing. The main bar and pool bar are busy at times, but the sports bar offered a quieter place in the evenings. Entertainment The entertainment team are always working to keep children entertained. Our daughter was too young for a lot of what was on offer, but she loved the kids disco and evening entertainment. Pools 2 kids pools are available but we preferred the larger of the 2 which has a large sun cover and loads of toys to use. The larger pools were cold (which other reviews mention) which our daughter struggled with a bit but for adults they are fine. There is also a splash pool but this was for slightly older children. Cleanliness The hotel is spotless and the staff work non stop to keep it clean. The high chairs were also spotless every time we used them which was really reassuring. The only slight drawbacks were the walk down to the larger beach was down a lot of steps but as long as you are moderately active it is pretty doable and the steps are very sturdy. The smaller beach was much more easily accessible. If you did want to venture further afield it was easy to get an Uber from outside the hotel. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely come back to 3Hb Guarana.
El bar de la piscina estaba cerrado y la discoteca
This hotel was not advertised correctly to us. Please do NOT stay here unless you are travelling with young children. Great room, good food and ok drinks. Very very loud all day “entertainment”/ kids club all day long. Not at all relaxing. The whole hotel caters for young children. We wasted a large amount of money on our stay.
A simpatia dos funcionários é algo muito positivo. A comida também era muito boa, muito variada e com muita quantidade. A cama era extremamente confortável, as almofadas confortáveis, o quarto muito limpo.
Não tenho nada a referir.
What an absolutely fabulous hotel. Six of us had a great tme. The food and restaurant team are amazing. Never queues at the bars. The swim up bar is great. We will definitely be back.
I stayed at this delightful FAMILY hotel in June to celebrate milestone birthdays. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the entire complex and the cleaners should be applauded for their tireless work. We were upgraded by management which was a bonus and the rooms were all very nice with a better view than our original booking. Our birthday celebration incurred a slight hitch but the guest relations team professionally handled the situation and turned the night around into a roaring success. This hotel primarily caters for families and I would highly recommend it to families with small children. Lots of sunbeds are available and there is a semi circle raised platform area where adults without children tend to stay and absorb the suns rays peacefully. The food choices at meal times are fairly good and a wide selection of beverages including good quality wine were available. We did try the Asian restaurant which we found to be well below par and did not offer your bog standard asian dshes. The food was also cold and we had to ask the delightful waiter if he could arrange for the plates of food to be warmed up. (I know its a no, no, but I had no choice) We did not have any issues with the other places to eat on the complex. Entertainment here is really basic at a push and needs to be sorely improved. If you are looking for night time entertainment a 3 minute leisurely walk down the hill into the town of Olhus de Agua may suffice or a 10 minute taxi/uber to Albufeira is your best bet. A selection of beach havens are a short walk away and we'll worth exploring.
We were glad we only stayed for 5 days. The hotel is full of children and very crowded. The sunbeds are crammed together - no tables between them - it’s impossible to put up the parasols without climbing across them. There are areas for smokers so (in theory) this is a no smoking hotel, however, people who vape don’t consider themselves smokers so the cloying, sweet, disgusting smell of vapes pervades. The hotel management need to change the signage to say “no smoking or vaping”. The team here are great, attentive and the food is not bad, particularly in theory à la carte restaurants. The coffee machines need sorting - they worked intermittently and were not the best. I wouldn’t come back, but it clearly appeals to families and those who like a busy, noisy, action/packed holiday.
Prior to booking this hotel I had some reviews suggesting that it is noisy and the food is not great. I can safely say that neither of these is correct. The food in the main dining room is excellent with an enormous variety of local and international styles; there is something for everyone. The local seafood dishes in particular are delicious as the fish and octopus are so fresh. The hotel does cater for families so there are some young children but once it is dark the hotel is very quiet and all the bars are closed by 11.30pm, After that everyone is in bed and the rooms are well soundproofed. The speciality restaurants are buffets (I was expecting table service) and, again, the food is excellent. If you only visit one of them go for the oriental restaurant. The location of the hotel is good. It is far enough away from the noise of Albufeira at night but easy to reach by Uber, which is the best way to travel as their prices are very reasonable. It is in easy walking distance of nice beaches and the hotel pools are great for children. All in all, highly recommended.
A perfect stay in every way, every department from cleaners to restaurant staff are well staffed both in numbers and quality. For example every evening every sun lounger was lifted and mopped under and the whole poolside area was cleaned by machine. The 4 restaurants and bars were always well staffed as was reception. All 4 restaurants were very good, just be aware they are all buffet style which we did not mind one bit but some might say for a 5⭐️ you should get table service? We had a couple of additional needs whilst we were there and the management were very helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend to all groups and ages.
My husband, young son and I travelled here for one week in late April and it was the absolute perfect family holiday for us. Firstly, the hotel was incredibly clean from the front door to our room and outdoor areas. The staff at reception and within the restaurants were so kind and their manner was lovely towards my 2 year old. There was plenty to keep him entertained, and we especially appreciated the small toddler pool up near the playground and kids club. Shallow enough to not cause concern and allow him to splash independently, and fully covered from the sun. We were always able to eat with plenty of variety, and we loved the snack bar which provided us a quick lunch option if our son's nap ran over lunch hours, or we needed something to grab and go. We would absolutely recommend and have discussed possibly returning in the next couple of years.
The staff from booking in to cleaners, bar staff and restaurant staff very friendly. The food is very good and varied, plenty of choice. The hotel is so clean and plenty of sunbeds around the pools. Value for money and decent brands of alcohol.
We have just come back from an 8 nights holiday. From a nice short flight we arrived around 12ish. Our room wasn’t ready but I did ask Telma for a quiet room. We left the luggage in a safe room behind reception. About 2pm our room was ready which is 2 hrs early which was excellent. Telma did give us a lovely quiet room on the 3rd floor which I did appreciate. The floors are higher than the usual 3rd floor as the ground floor has the restaurants then reception on the first floor. So it was a little higher than I prefer but, we had a lovely sea view. The room was a good size, plenty of space for our clothes etc. The sofa bed was converted into half bed and half seat which was handy. There is a fridge and a safe. The bathroom was a good size and had a bd. Also, there are handles to help you get into and out of the bath which are useful. There is shampoo/conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer. You do have to slam the door as it doesn’t shut automatically. The restaurants had a good variety of hot and cold food. Our favourite was the Mediterranean restaurant. You won’t go hungry There are 2 main pools, a child’s smaller pool and a splash park near the balcony seating area. The main pool has a swim up bar which is fun. The water is quite cold and it’s very lively. There are plenty of sun-beds we opted to base ourselves up top on the balcony area which was less busy. We played bowls and bingo in the day and there was also a pool party which was fun. The evening entertainment had a couple of very good singers/drummer and guitarist. The karaoke was funny. There is also a sports bar. We walked to the harbour/beach which was quaint. This is a medium sized clean hotel with beautiful flora and fauna . A lovely happy vibe and happy and helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel we had a lovely stay. Thank you.
Hotel clean and well maintained, staff friendly, room cleaned daily. pool water quality regularly checked. Sunbeds very close together but plenty available so no need to put towels out. Pool towels available. Indoor pool 8am swim every morning children allowed in later in the day. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Recommend the hotel consider tea and coffee area in reception? Evening entertainment poor but the 80's live music was fantastic. Too many Karaoke nights, guests attempting to sing!!!! Vast selection of food buffett style in main restaurant. Disappointed with Mediterranean resaurant which you have to book. We were at the end of que, buffett style . Im not a big meat eater and the fish casserole dish empty. Asked for more told cooking for next sitting. Would be better as table service. Caught local bus to Vilamoura marina, lots of bars/restaurants but very few shops. Taxi to old town Albufeira one evening, very very busy. Uneven walkways not easy with mobility issues. This is a family hotel with lots and lots of small children. We were a couple and so would not visit again.
Overall, this is a great hotel for families of all ages. For those with young children, it is well catered for. The hotel is situated just up the hill from the beach, where there are a few bars and restaurants worth visiting. The Old and New Towns are a short taxi ride away for those that want a more lively atmosphere. The hotel itself was very clean throughout, the restaurants all served good food, you have to book the Oriental and Mediterranean restaurants. It would have been nice to have a restaurant that served, rather than the hustle and bustle of a buffet each night. The pool area was busy, but there are quieter areas away from the pool, for example the decking area above the pool. The sun loungers are plentiful, but are placed very close together. They are also quite old and uncomfortable-a few had broken and should be replaced. We were here as a family and it suited us for location, activities and the all inclusive element. If we were holiday in as a couple, we probably wouldn’t choose to stay here.
What an awesome resort, we were absolutely mesmerised by this hotel , we booked here for our first holiday without our kids ( who are grown up now ) when we checked in I let Annabella know that it was my partner birthday, she kindly arranged for a bottle of champagne for us , so a big shout out to Annabella for arranging that for us . Food The food was delicious. We couldn’t fault anything, from the breakfast to lunch and evening meals , we were spoilt for choice, you have to book the Mediterranean and oriental restaurants, we tried the Mediterranean, and that was outstanding, Drinks Drinks were also very good , cocktails available all day and beer on tap in self serve machines All the staff at this hotel were very friendly and polite and went out of their way for you , big shout to all the bar staff and waiting staff We will definitely return next year
Went here as a couple in June 2026. I will probably be echoing what a lot of other reviews have said. Pros: The hotel food was probably the best I’ve had in all my years of trying all inclusive restaurants. The staff are friendly and nice Very clean and rooms cleaned to a nice standard Cocktails nice but did come from a machine Did like the soft drinks on offer all day Cons: Had I have known this hotel was so busy with kids I probably wouldn’t have booked it, there is a huge area for kids pools and even a splash zone. The kidney shaped pool should 100% be adults only. As there isn’t much peace Loads of sun loungers but like 20 in a row, would be good if they were in 2s or 4s etc to create a bit more space and privacy between families One of the bar staff (female) seemed like she absolutely hated her job, never smiled once, always felt like an inconvenience to her, so much so I stopped asking for a straw The rooms seemed a little dated to me and old fashioned and I hated the area between the lifts and my room it felt like a hospital but this is my first time in Portugal and not sure if they like things more old fashioned The air con barley worked and didn’t seem cool at all in the rooms If you are solo travelling or a couple I probably wouldn’t recommend this hotel if I’m being 100% honest
Tudo
Back from another amazing stay at this hotel. It was the most amazing holiday with our 2.5 year old daughter. Room was cleaned every day, food was amazing in all the restaurants - lots to choose from, great activities for all ages on every day and evening entertainment great. Our daughter loved the mini disco every night. Cannot fault this hotel at all!
Lovely hotel very very busy with families with lots of children, would be nice if there was a small adult section for us older people and also the food is lovely but and it’s a big one the coffee is the worst iv ever tasted that needs work
Instalações, localização, staff muito profissional e disponível, restaurantes com comida variada e de qualidade
From the moment we arrived at this lovely hotel we were very pleased with what we seen 😀 the reception area was a lovely spotlessly clean area run by such lovely helpful staff, check in was a breeze no problems 😊, our room was immaculate, clean, fresh great size, all the staff we friendly helpful and very hard working. The food was just amazing so much choice for everyone always fresh hot and replenished when needed pool area was amazing, plenty of sunbeds for everyone, so dont need to be up at 4am putting towels out 🤷so to end my review on this stunning hotel if your thinking of booking this for your holidays dont even think about it just book it and I'll be very surprised if you dont re-book on your return ,happy holidays 😎😎
We stayed here at the end of May 2026. From start to finish, we loved every moment. So for the food, we stuck to the main buffet restaurant mostly, which had really nice options. They rotated a few items but also had a set few items too. We really enjoyed the snack bar also, as they had a mix of pizza, baguettes, wraps and fresh salad / fruit. We had one meal at the Oriental restaurant (book in as soon as possible as not open everyday!). This meal was also very nice and was a lot of fresh options. The restaurant staff are very friendly and welcoming at all the different areas. The entertainment was a personal highlight for us all, including my young children. The day time entertainment included some pool activities like water volleyball, aerobics etc. The nighttime’s were very good, especially the kids discos and the singers they had. The hotel employ some really great entertainment staff, so a special mention to them all, specifically “Manny” we think and the two guys with braided hair. They are amazing dancers! The splash park is great for the small children, ours really enjoyed it. It’s a nice breakaway from the main pool areas. There is also a small kids pool next to the bar area, which is equally good. The main pools are nice and didn’t get too congested, except during water volleyball! There is no sun bed scramble (this maybe different for August time)! You don’t have to get up by the crack of dawn to save a sun bed, even one in a prime location. There is a lot of areas to get a lounger, including some raised areas, away from the pools, which were good for quiet sunbathing. The location is perfect if you aren’t interested in venturing too far on foot. Whilst there’s everything you need at the hotel, there’s a few bars, shops and restaurants a couple mins walk from the hotel and a few more restaurants within a 10 min walk. The beach nearby is quite small but there’s another called Praia De Falésia, which is worth visiting. Can reach on foot or taxi. One night we visited a Mexican restaurant down by the local beach, a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. This was lovely and very good value for money if you’re looking to try something different. The spa is worth a visit if you can fit it in. I had a sports massage and my wife had a relaxing massage. Worth the money. Beware they are cash only but there’s an ATM at reception if needed. Lastly, the rooms. We were kindly upgraded free of charge, to accommodate having two rooms next to each other. Another great touch from the hotel. They brought all of our cases to the room on check in. We had two pool view family rooms. The rooms were very sizeable, and clean. Credit to the cleaning staff, they were very good and also friendly. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay and we hope to return in the near future.
This is a much smaller site than we have been used to on all inclusive and the sun loungers, though very numerous, did seem quite packed together....however, there are enough quieter areas for those not in a big group or not wanting to lie right next to strangers. In complete contrast to our last destination, this place has plenty of staff and the difference is so noticeable....it really makes a big difference. Short queues for dining (usually less than 5 mins to get a table) , but everything cleared away quickly and efficiently. Good selection of food, the only downside is that some of the food could do with being hotter....I think if they gave the option of having a warm plate for hot meals, that would have helped. We had 2 causes to contact reception - one out fault, one not....both were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The level of service here is much higher than other places we have been. Overall, really enjoyable and I would definitely recommend for families and couples (we went as a couple, but despite it being very family friendly, we didn't feel out of place)
We recently stayed at this all-inclusive hotel and overall had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel was exceptionally clean throughout, including the rooms, pool areas, and public spaces. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job daily, and the staff were always friendly, polite, and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The sports bar was also a real highlight of the hotel. It had a much more relaxed atmosphere than the rest of the resort and became our favourite place to spend the evenings. It felt like one of the few areas where you could properly unwind and escape the crowds. Unfortunately, there were several disappointing aspects that stopped this from being a great holiday. The rooms didnt have a stocked mini just an empty warm fridge with no stocked drinks or refreshments. The entertainment was another major letdown. If you are expecting evening shows or lively entertainment, you should definitely lower your expectations. Most evenings there was very little happening, which left the adults and children feeling bored with not much to do after dinner apart from go to the childrens park and then back to the room. Dining was also frustrating at times as there were daily queues just to enter the main restaurant, particularly during busy periods. Dinner service often felt like a cattle market — overcrowded, noisy, and rushed — which took away from what should have been a relaxing dining experience. In addition, there was no table service anywhere in the hotel, which made the all-inclusive experience feel less relaxing than expected. We also spent a lot of time waiting for lifts, which became frustrating very quickly. On several occasions we gave up waiting and used the stairs instead. Thankfully we were not staying on one of the higher floors, especially as we had to carry the pushchair up. The sunbeds around the pool were also disappointing. They were quite uncomfortable, and the backs constantly moved, making them difficult to sit on or relax properly. The hotel itself is lovley has great potential, and with some improvements it could be a fantastic place to stay. However, it currently feels far too overcrowded, which impacted our overall holiday feel.
I am writing an honest review based on our experience, I will mention things that weren't mentioned by other people when I trawled the reviews before booking and had they been mentioned I wouldn't have booked this hotel. We have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels but this is the first time we have arrived at a hotel to find an empty fridge (that didn't actually work and has to be replaced) no bottles of water, when I queried this we were told that we have to buy water from the shop or use the water stations around the hotel to fill up the plastic bottles you are given upon arrival. I can live without the complimentary bottle of wine, Juice etc but to have to go and collect water constantly so that we had drinking water in our room is a step too far. The pool and sunbed situation was like nothing we had seen before. People mention in other reviews that there are plenty of sunbeds, that is because there are rows and rows of tightly squeezed in beds, that tightly packed together you might as well be lying on the same lounger as the stranger next to you. Not my vibe really, I'd prefer to be able to have a little space between ours and the next family and perhaps even the option of a table to put drinks on. The pool area can only be described as manic, the constant banging out of loud music whilst someone on the megaphone attempts to sing is simply awful and apart from a couple of hours mid day it goes on all day. There are no quiet zones, even the pool called the 'quiet pool' in the hotels description is full of kids, right next to the kids area and again is lined with rows and rows of loungers all squeezed together. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL FOR RELAXING! The only place to escape all of this is the beach. Another negative for us was the non existent table service for drinks in the evening. Again I haven't been anywhere before where you have to get you own drink in the restaurant, not at a 4 star hotel anyway. Even at the 2 a la Carte's there was no table service for drinks or indeed food, the food was buffet style as it was in the main restaurant. This is large hotel, appearing to be serviced by only two sets of two lifts which were then left overcrowded and had ridiculous wait times so advise against this hotel for anyone with mobility issues. The reception area is also not on the ground floor where the pool areas/Restaurants are and can only be accessed up a large flight of stairs or by one of the lifts. The food in the main restaurant is typical mediocre hotel food, same dishes night after night, it's very hard to rave about it but others appear to have found it great. I don't think it was great, I think it sufficed, was lukewarm at times as were the breakfasts. Positives to give a balanced view:- If you like a lot of noise, tons of kids and don't mind bedlam then this is a good hotel for you. It is clean, very clean actually and the Mediterranean and Oriental restaurants are very nice options which you can booked as many times as you want. The choice of drinks, soft and alcoholic is good and the slushes are amazing. The staff are all extremely pleasant, friendly and are constantly serving or cleaning with a smile. Room cleaning was done everyday and was to a high standard. This is not a bad hotel it's just not for us however as I say if you like noise, drinking, want easy access to Albufeira and a couple of beaches nearby with some nice little local eateries then give it a whirl.
I found the hotel excellent The staff friendly The facilities were great For a all inclusive hotel the meals were varied and well cooked I particularly liked having a choice of 2 fish dish every night There were also local dish from the Algarve We enjoyed it so much we have booked for next year
Just back from a weeks day at this hotel with a 3 and 11 year old. Was an absolutely brilliant hotel - extremely clean (you constantly seen staff cleaning all areas at all times of day), food was exceptional - a wide variety of choice ranging from a huge salad bar, Italian section, meats veg and fish, different breads, soups, puddings etc. Every night there was different foods available in the main restaurant. The poolside restuarant was the same food each day but again a variety from wraps, rolls, pizza, salad,, burgers, fruit etc! (There was also a Mediterranean restaurant which was great (buffet style) and an Asian restaurant which we didn’t get round to trying. Entertainment was great - my three year old loved the mini disco and the water slides outside! My 11 year old enjoyed the pool games and quiz in the evenings! One day they every had a children’s day and had a bouncy castle, popcorn, face painting etc. Location is brilliant too - there is a handful of restaurants and shops in the village and access to a small beach but a much larger beach is a ten minute walk away down some steps which is gorgeous (my other half ran down the beach to vilamora). Vilamora is a 10-15 min ride away which you can do in an Uber and albufria is also a 10-15 min uber away. We much preferred vilamora as was less busy than albufria and had more nicer places to eat and drink by the marina. Would highly recommend this hotel!
Food was amazing. An excellent selection for everyone. My daughter was sick and the hotel rang me to see she was ok or was there anything they could do. Games for children excellent. Excellent hotel and staff amazing. Thank You
There is nothing I can say that I didn't like
We are on day 3 here and it’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. Cocktails are premade and taste just like juice. We were served raw chicken in the buffet last night and i saw another guest take her chicken back to the cooking station as that was also raw. Fridge in room which is empty, not even a bottle of water supplied. Food in restaurant not not enough. Constant noise round pool, boom boom music belting out. I saw another review that said there’s not a minutes peace and i can totally get that now. People everywhere, literally like a jungle when you look out. One rule for one and another for another in the pools, advertised as no balls allowed yet a pool full of people throwing balls and sometimes you can have a rubber ring depending who you ask then ten minutes later get told to take it out. No consistency, some kids allowed and others not. Sunbed wars on a morning, people leaving towels and disappearing til 3/4pm and hotel doing nothing about it. Won’t be returning or recommending.
4.5/5 – Fantastic Hotel with Just a Few Minor Drawbacks This is a wonderfully clean hotel with immaculate pools, seating areas, and public spaces throughout. The main restaurant was excellent. The food presentation was beautiful, the quality was outstanding, and there was plenty of variety at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The snack bar was also spotless and well-stocked, with food freshly prepared, cooked, and served throughout the day. The Mediterranean restaurant (booking required) was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere, décor, and food were all exceptional. It's genuinely one of the best all-inclusive on-site restaurants I've ever experienced. The Oriental restaurant was another highlight. The sushi and Asian dishes were delicious and definitely worth booking. The drinks selection was impressive too, with quality branded beverages, plenty of zero-sugar options, and a great cocktail menu offering lots of variety. Honestly, you have to look quite hard to find faults here, but there were a few minor issues. The air conditioning in the room was disappointing. It struggled to make much difference, especially during warmer periods. The pool rules also felt overly restrictive at times. There are two main outdoor pools: the smaller, quieter pool doesn't allow inflatables or ball games, while the larger pool is much busier and allows almost everything. Young families with babies in float rings were asked to move to the main pool, where it can be quite hectic, and even simple games of catch weren't allowed. A bit more common sense and flexibility would go a long way. This felt particularly inconsistent when other rules, such as taking food out of the restaurant and eating around the bars and pool area, were regularly ignored. There was also very little clear signage explaining the pool rules. The staff throughout the hotel were lovely, attentive, and hardworking. The lifeguards were simply enforcing the rules, although they occasionally received frustration from guests because of the lack of flexibility in those rules. A nice touch was the water refill stations located around the hotel, along with the reusable plastic bottles provided to guests. Overall, this is an great hotel with fantastic food, and wonderful staff. The few minor issues weren't enough to stop us having a great stay, and I'd happily recommend it.
Second time staying here and honestly cannot fault it. The staff are so lovely, the entertainment team is incredible, so many activities throughout the day to keep the little ones busy. There’s 2 areas where pool toys are kept for little ones on a re use basis which is a lovely touch especially if you forget to bring any. The rooms are clean, nice and dark at night and seem to have good sound insulation. The food is amazing, so many options and the kids especially love the chocolate fountain. No mad rush in the morning for towel wars which is always a bonus. 40 mins from airport probably 30 in a taxi. Would really recommend for a family holiday.
We arrived just before the schools broke up. The check in seemed to take a long time & found the reception staff very ‘serious’… smiles to be greeted with would have been more welcoming. The hotel is kept nice & clean & well maintained. The gym is very basic & small considering the amount of guests and potential space that could be used downstairs where it is. Everything is self serve, even the bookable restaurants. I asked for a vegan breakfast and was made tofu, avocado, and toast (no milk in the bread as allergic to it). This was really kind and offered every day to me. Usually, there was a vegan dish at lunch & teatime, but when there wasn’t, they were happy to make me something. The last few days the hotel got REALLY busy… it was too much for me. It was ‘elbows out’ in the dining room area to get to food and drinks. Felt pressured and too rushed. The other issue was guests not using the designated smoking area. Sitting on benches in walkways so you have to walk through the smoke & also, vaping wherever they want?! Really thoughtless, rude, and arrogant. To escape the chaos, I recommend going to see the dolphins & a visit to Vilamoura. Had an amazing meal at Versatile just near the hotel.

Everything! Clean, Quality food, Friendly staff
I really liked the choice and quality of the food, a lot of effort in making different tasty dishes with meat or fish, squid, different fish with tasty sauces. Great desserts, cakes. The animation team was really good, dynamic and friendly with great entertainment in the evening and karaoke. The circus show was amazing! Close to the beach and lovely setting. Will definitely recommend!
Cocktails quality was not great.
Great location close to albufeira and Olhos de agua beach! The hotel was great for all the family (4yr and 8yr old), kids club was a big hit! I didn’t see my 8 year he loved all the activities And the entertainers were all great including Gesson! My husband joined in a lot of the adult activities too! Indoor pool was great when weather wasn’t in our favour! Room was clean and everything we need! Great atmosphere all day! Food was lovely and lots choices All day long!
