lSeul bémol : les capsules Nespresso de bienvenue dans la suite étaient payantes. C'était une grande première pour nous dans un établissement haut de gamme, alors que nous en avons pourtant fréquenté plusieurs dans divers pays. »

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit einer sehr gepflegten und stilvollen Anlage. Besonders begeistert waren wir vom ausgezeichneten Essen, sowohl das Frühstücksbuffet als auch das Abendessen waren hervorragend. Ein absolutes Highlight ist die Seaview Bar mit ihrer traumhaften Aussicht. Insgesamt ein ganz besonderer Ort zum Entspannen und Geniessen.

Es wäre schön, wenn der Aussenpool beheizt wäre, da die Temperaturen während unseres Aufenthalts eher kühl waren und wir den Pool deshalb leider wenig nutzen konnten.

La struttura è pazzesca. La migliore in cui abbia mai soggiornato. Immersa nel verde più totale, gestita in modo perfetto. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno accolto e ci hanno fatto sentire più che a casa. Colazioni e ristoranti da provare, assieme al sunset bar che toglie il fiato. La nostra Villa Albizia era semplicemente stupenda. Davvero da consigliare a chiunque voglia provare un'esperienza fuori dal comune nella natura. Bravissimi!

Nous avons adoré le restaurant, le view bar était incroyable. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, le personnel était très accueillant et chaleureux. L’environnement est luxuriant et très bien entretenu.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und können diese Lodge uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Die wunderschöne Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und bietet die perfekte Atmosphäre zum Entspannen und Genießen. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der perfekte und durchweg freundliche Service. Das gesamte Team war jederzeit aufmerksam, herzlich und zuvorkommend, sodass wir uns rundum willkommen gefühlt haben. Auch das Essen war hervorragend – abwechslungsreich, frisch und ausgesprochen lecker. Kulinarisch blieben keine Wünsche offen. Insgesamt hat die Lodge all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können dieses Hotel jedem empfehlen, der einen erholsamen und rundum gelungenen Urlaub verbringen möchte.

La piscine privé non chauffée dans une région de Maurice où il fait relativement frais . On ne peut guère en profiter . Dommage !

Le cadre était fabuleux : loin du bruit de la ville. Pas de cris d d'enfants. On n'entend que le chant des oiseaux. Et la végétation est luxuriante.

An amazing, unique, experiential accommodation in the heart of the rainforest. The food was the best of the 5 star hotels we stayed at all around the island.

Mooie locatie volledig in het groen. Zeer luxueuze kamer met alles erop en eraan. Top! Ook zijn er gratis mountainbikes ter beschikking. Verder hebben we er ook zeer lekker gegeten.

Het zwembad is heel koud

Situation exceptionnelle dans un parc luxuriant et idyllique. Décoration de goût. L’ambiance est unique et le restaurant excellent. Le bar offre une vue incroyable sur la mer. Personnel aux petits soins. Très calme.

Die Lage ist perfekt , wenn man nicht am Meer sein möchte. Der Weg ist aber nicht weit und man sieht sich die Insel ja an. Das Personal ist ausserordentlich freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen ist vorzüglich, reichlich und abwechslungsreich

The environment was stunning. We loved the privacy in our Villa and the bird-concert around the area. The Villa was better, than we expected. In my opinion, the fotos on booking can not catch the actually beauty. The stuff was everytime super friendly. We loved the view in the view bar, which is open from 16.30 - 19.00. The hotel is now a 5 star hotel. But on booking not actualised.

Where do I begin! Absolutely spectacular property, exceeded my expectations by miles! The staff is beyond amazing, smiles all around, waiters remembering your order from the very first time. The place is breathtaking and the food was better than all the 5 stars hotels we have stayed at in Mauritius! Totally recommend staying here, and I’ll definitely stay in again!

A bit of ants and mosquitoes but that’s given considering the location. Aircon is an extra charge which can be challenging not to have on in the summer.

Außergewöhnlich schöne und gepflegte Anlage inmitten der traumhaften Natur. Wir hatten eine Suite mit Pool und wir haben uns sofort zuhause gefühlt. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist herausragend. Falls wir je wieder nach Mauritius kommen, ist diese Unterkunft ein Muss.

Beautiful scenery, amazing room and incredible food

Mosquitos but that’s not the hotels fault!

Die Lage ist wunderschön, die Anlage sehr gepflegt mit vielen einheimischen Pflanzen und Bäume. Gute Fahrräder inklusive, schöne Suite mit eigenen Pool und traumhaften Blick. Das Team ist überwiegend sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Check in war sehr korrekt und detailliert. Die Benutzung der Sauna ist inklusive und schön.

Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht, es ist wirklich überteuert gegenüber vielen Ressorts der ähnlichen Kategorie die wir auf Mauritius gebucht haben und wir reisen sehr viel. Das Frühstück ist nicht abwechslungsreich, es fehlt an vielen Stellen inklusive Qualität. Wenig Auswahl an Früchte sowie warme und kalte Speise, Käse und Salate…Im Rahmen der Halbpension ist das Abendessen ebenfalls nicht abwechslungsreich, viele ähnliche Gerichte mit Sauce, Reis und eine Art Linsensuppe jeden der 3 Abenden. Wenn man was anderes essen möchte, muss man ziemlich viel dazu zahlen, auch für das Wasser (für 600€/Nacht)! Im Zimmer maximal 2 Liter Wasser pro Tag, Nespressokapsel muss man extra bezahlen, ebenso die Benutzung der Klimaanlage ! Der Check out war sehr Bürokratisch, das Zimmer und Minibar werden erst geprüft! Es lässt im ganzen einen eher schlechten Eindruck trotz der fabelhaften Lage!

We have just returned from a 10 day stay in a Suite at Lakaz Chamarel. We loved everything about this place. The accomodation in beautiful and serviced twice a day - in the morning and then again an evening turn down service. The peace and transquility, the birds and wildlife (particularly the fruit bats), the pool area............just everything. It was amazing and exceeded our expectations. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area. I had a massage in the spa area and it was excellent. The food at both breakfast and dinner was really good. We went a ride into the village on the hotel bikes and participated in the complementary yoga sessions. A special mention has to go to the staff................all of them were so welcoming and do everything possible to make your stay perfect. Do not hesitate to come here, it's amazing.

Der Empfang war perfekt. Wir fühlten und sofort wohl. Die Lage im tropischen Garten ist fantastisch. Die Suiten liegen verstreut und bieten absolute Privatsphäre. Die View Bar ist ein Geheimtipp. Unglaublich!!! Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Eine Dame in der Bar/im Restaurant und ein Herr in der unteren Bar sind uns sehr positiv aufgefallen.

Véritable jardin d’éden, le personnel est vraiment professionnel, très accueillant et attentionné. Tout est beau, raffiné, reposant. Les oiseaux chantent dès le matin et égaient vos journées, le view bar offre une vue exceptionnelle sur l’océan et l’île aux benitiers. Nous avons été émerveillés durant tout notre séjour. Nous avons apprécié également la cuisine locale et les produits du potager. Notre suite était décorée dans un esprit balinais, sans aucun vis à vis et avec une vue sur le jardin. Piscine privative en prime. Que du bonheur!

Dağların arasında, cennet gibi yeşil, sessiz, sakin kuş civiltilari arasında ,kurbağa sesi ile uyanmak çok güzeldi. Akşam yemeği gayet güzel. Tekrar gelmeyi düşünüyorum.

Sevmediğim demeyeceğim. Ama kahvaltı biraz daha zengin olabilir. Odalarda sineklik olsa iyi olur.

Wonderful environment with lots of nature & wildlife. Very comfortable and relaxed. Really helpful staff. Good food.

Le service : bien que ça ne concerne pas la majorité de l’équipe, certains détails n’étaient pas au rendez vous pour ce standard d’établissement. Pour la suite Reshma : magnifique suite, mais manque un peu d’intimité (vue sur le restaurant)

Absolutely beautiful rooms and private pool and great service for example staff put down the blinds and prepare the mosquito nets for you in the evening. Staff all very friendly. Sea view bar is lovely as are the spa treatments. Great food. Free shuttle to Le Morne beach and bikes available for free to explore the local area.

It is expensive per night (although great for a honeymoon!) and wine and other drinks are also expensive compared to other places in Mauritius.

The facilities and grounds are gorgeous! So much attention was given to the design. The flora is breathtaking! The staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly Peggy who went above and beyond. We loved borrowing bikes and riding to nearby attractions. We enjoyed the hike on site and the View Bar.

We found it a bit strange that we had to pay for water at dinner. There may have been a good reason but it wasn’t explained. Also, we didn’t know in advance that men are expected to wear long pants and closed shoes for dinner. Luckily we had some, but it wasn’t strictly enforced anyway.

Fantastic caring staff (Joanna, Peggy, Julie, the guys at the bar, and all the others. Beautiful garden. Good beds and wonderful lodges.

Really there was nothing to complain about. Prices were up to the standard of the lodge.

Peace and quiet. Even when it was full, there was so much space and many quiet places. A suite with a private pool was ideal. Lovely staff!

Le lavabo dans la salle de bain est beaucoup trop haut (chambre bambou) ! Mardi soir un homme observait de manière insistante le personnel du bar ainsi que celui de la salle ; depuis le bar, j’ai trouvé très déplaisant de me sentir épiée ainsi toute la soirée.

Schöne ruhige Lage in den Bergen von Chamarel, idyllisch, der richtige Ort um zu relaxen. Besonders gut hat uns die Viewbar gefallen. Phantastischer Ausblick aufs Meer und die Insel.

Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer gebucht … es sollte 50m2 haben. Das Zimmer war vielleicht 20m2 groß , das Bad und WC war im Freien. Wegen der Mücken haben wir das Bad am Abend nicht genutzt. Möglichkeiten unsere Kleider vernünftig in Schränke unterzubringen waren beschränkt. Bademäntel waren zu klein und hatten ihre Lebensdauer hinter sich. Die Benutzung der Klimaanlage kostet 5 € pro Tag. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Für 5 Sterne war das Frühstück lediglich ok, das Buffet wurde uns ausreichend erklärt, als hätten wir noch nie ein Frühstücksbuffet gesehen, das Brot war vom Vorabend. Das Abendessen war ebenfalls überschaubar. Um etwas hochwertiges zu Essen , musste man zuzahlen. Wir haben für eine Stunde die Sauna gebucht,,,,es war ein Regentag, die Sauna war ziemlich alt und hatte mal gerade Platz für eine Person , die etwas erhöht sitzen konnte,

Sensationell schöne Unterkunft in den Bergen von Mauritius. Wir hatten das Privileg in der "Exclusive Suite Piton Canot" zu nächtigen. Es war fantastisch! Die Aussicht verschlägt einem den Atem. Alles im Lakaz ist top gepflegt und in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Hier merkt man, dass auf jedes Detail geachtet wird. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und durften das Essen 4 Abende genießen. Das Abendessen wird a la carte serviert und ist hervorragend. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren überaus freundlich und professionell. Wer eine Unterkunft abseits der Strände auf Mauritius sucht ist hier genau richtig. Mitten in der Natur und nur ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Mietwagen bis zum Strand von Le Morne.

Nur zwei Information! Der Pool unserer Suite ist nicht beheizt und war sehr erfrischend... ;-) Das Lakaz bietet einen Shuttle zum Strand. Für uns ist ein eigener Mietwagen aber die noch bessere Wahl.

The Lakaz Chamarel Accommodation is like an oasis. I don't think I've ever seen nature like it; even in a forest, it's like nature on steroids. We stayed in the sea-view suites and the views were unbelievable, topped only by the view from the View Bar cocktail bar, which we went to every evening for sunset to see the phenomenal view. The staff are super friendly and the cocktail menu is brilliant. The food is also great and wholesome, while not fine dining. Nearly every meal hit the spot.

There's not much to not like about this hotel. The only reason why I'd say it's not perfect 10/10 is because sometimes the staff do some very peculiar things like telling you there's no bacon and then bringing you a plate of bacon. It's just some level of service that you would get in a five-star hotel that you don't get at the dining table when you eat. To reiterate the staff are super friendly

Very peaceful and relaxing spot to stay in Mauritius compared to the other choices near the beaches. The staff is very accommodating and helpful.

Diese Unterkunft ist außergewöhnlich schön. Wir waren schon das 2. Mal dort und werden auch ein 3. Mal buchen. Es gibt eigentlich alles, was das Herz begehrt und die Lage ist, anders als die Beach-Hotels, einzigartig und ganz besonders. Man ist umgeben von Vogelgezwitscher, traumhafter Fauna und entspanntem, sehr freundlichen Personal. Der Blick von der View Bar ist atemberaubend und unvergesslich. Mit einem gemieteten Auto erreicht man hier tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe oder den wunderschönen Strand von Le Morne. In dem nächsten Ort La Gaulette ist ein großer Supermarkt in dem man super einkaufen kann.

Incredible property, rooms lovely, very comfortable and clean. Beautiful views throughout. The food was excellent and dinner menu changed daily. What made this stay so memorable were the staff - very warm, welcoming, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble.

Der Empfang war ausgesprochen herzlich, und das gesamte Team zeigte sich überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und professionell. Ein rundum herausragender Service wird geboten! Das gesamte Areal ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail und durchdacht gestaltet. Die einzelnen „Lakaz“ sind großzügig über das Gelände verteilt, was ein hohes Maß an Privatsphäre garantiert. Ein absolutes Highlight: der Sundowner in der View Bar – unbedingt empfehlenswert! Das Essen war ein Traum! Mit viel Liebe angerichtet und geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau. Dank der Lage der Unterkunft konnten wir den Süden der Insel bequem mit dem Auto erkunden.

Unheated pool, outside shower with dirty tiles to cross to get to it, decades old fitness equipment all outside, upselling focus eg still water with dinner (not branded bottles), lack of soft furnishings, basically all was very basic and needed lifted a few levels. There was nothing executive about it in my opinion

Good breakfast but dinner was exceptional. The quality and presentation of the food was amazing, in particular for something that is included in the stay. The view bar is only open for a few hours in the afternoon during sunset, but the view (and cocktails) do not disappoint, so don't miss catching the sunset there. The landscaping over the entire premises is very beautiful and well done. Well located for visiting the 7 coloured earth, the coffee plantation and the Rumerie. You can also book massages in the spa on the premises, or take a yoga class (with a view). Next time we come, we will book one of the rooms with the sea view.

Our stay in the Piton Canot suite was the highlight of our holiday in Mauritius -spectacular views of the Piton and coastline, with its own pool. We were able to see monkeys, and watch parakeets and fruit bats flying past. We had a totally relaxing time and wished we could have stayed longer!

This was not a problem for us but it is a steep climb up the hill from the restaurant. Buggies are available and were much appreciated!

The wildlife and surroundings were incredible. A constant birdsong. Staff were very friendly and personable, and would always look to cater for your needs. The Sunset view bar was a lovely way to spend the evenings.

The room only had an outdoor shower, which was lovely during the day, but not ideal during the dark or when it was raining. It would complete the room if there was both an indoor and outdoor shower.

The location is breathtaking. It’s in the middle of a vibrant green forest on the slopes of Chamarel. The mountain and garden lodge we had was beautiful and decorated to fit within the forest. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is very tasteful with hints of the local cuisine (we had breakfast and diner included). The view from the bar is amazing during sunset as well. All details were right!

Lack of choice for vegetarian food

Charming property with excellent facilities, food and staff. We booked a sea view suite which was very comfortable. The outdoor deck with pool was exceptionally well appointed.

We were disappointed with the seating inside the suite itself. It was limited to an uncomfortable day bed, obviously meant to accommodate a third guest but which inadequate as a sofa. The weather and mosquitoes discouraged sitting outdoors after dark and there wasn’t an acceptable alternative to sit indoors.

A truly outstanding hotel. We loved everything about our stay. We had a suite with a sea view. The garden, mountain and sea views were amazing. The outdoor deck and infinity pool were to die for. Our room was superb, a large and comfortable bed and an outdoor shower which really allowed you to connect with the outdoors were highlights. The service from every team member was first class and the evening meals were beautifully prepared and very tasty. There was a steep hill back to the room but there was always a buggy to take us back.

Given the outstanding standards at this hotel we felt the breakfast buffet was fine but didn’t match the quality of the evening meals. We were also surprised to be asked to pay extra if we wanted to use the air con.

Everything. I am so glad that I found this location. Is perfect for nature's lovers.

We really liked the service, the kindness of the hotel staff was wonderful. They picked us up whenever we wanted with their golfcars and prepared a special birthday cake for me. The location was good, only 30 min from le morne beach and 15 min from seven colored earth. tons of rivers around as well. The nature and the view were amazing!! Walking in the jungle on the way to the breakfast was a special experience.

The pools were not really clean most of the time and some bugs were inside (a result of the jungle). The toilet in our room had no door, meaning no privacy. And now the real thing that bothered us the most- bugs and little animals everywhere in the room- bathroom, balcony, cockroaches and flies inside the window curtains (they jump on you). We had some sleepless nights from their sounds.
