Tudo...todas as comodidades, super limpo, o resort é fantastico e entertenimento a toda a hora. Um grande obrigado à Suraia, ao sr Américo e ao Mateus. Voltaremos e recomendo absolutamente.

Gym wasn’t open until 9.30 should be 8am at the latest. Breakfast finished at 10. 10.30 would be a lot better to give people time to sleep in as it is supposed to be a holiday.

Rooms were spacious and the buffet was great. The access to the beach was also good.

The entertainment was very average and some of the staff weren’t particularly friendly or polite.

First of all, the staff. Amazing people. Professional while being extremely nice and gentle with the whole family. They were all amazing. When I mean everyone, I mean everyone, reception, cleaning staff, pool animation staff, restaurant and bar people. Really felt very cozy thanks to them.

It's hard... I loved almost everything, maybe the pool could close a bit later like 20h instead of 19h, but I am also sure that you made the studies and there is a reason for it. So, apologies for the comment, but it was the only improvement I could think of.

All areas were exceptionally clean. Very comfortable bed and room was well soundproofed so we enjoyed good night’s sleeps.

Entertainment was below average and no designated adult only areas. All inclusive cocktails were “strange”.

Maturinn sæmilegur, ekki nógu góður. Matsalurinn mjög þéttsetinn og mikið kliður og fólk. Snakkbarinn er niðrí kjallara og ekki má taka matinn með út og borða á sundlaugabakkanum. Svo þú þurftir að fara inn að borða eða til að fá þér ís. Ekki sjálfs afgreiðsla á drykkjum, þar á meðal gosi svo þurftir að bíða í langri röð í hvert skipti sem vildir eitthvað að drekka. Suma dagana var há partýtónlist allan daginn á sundlaugabakkanum sem gat orðið þreytt eftir 1 - 2 klst. Netið var ekki alveg nógu gott. Sundlaugarnar voru svo kaldar að það var erfitt að njóta þeirra.

Comfortable room, varied and good food, punctual shuttle service.

Sunshades small and not enough by the pool. They could reorganize the bar layout to avoid queues/waiting lines. They didn’t place a tissue box in the room even after asking twice.

My stay here was amazing from start to finish. The place was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to everything I wanted to see. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made the experience even better. I especially loved the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable place to visit.

No Fitness centre in such a big resort. A very miniature gym which is very costly and you have to pay separately 15 euros per session. Beach/pool towels are also not free. You have to pay a 15 euro deposit per towel and can't change the towel in 4 days to avoid a fees. Attitude of the staff is very cold and condescending. Won't greet you or allow any questions. Couldn't provide us rooms closer to our groups. The same shrug and response for every question you ask. Same canned fruits and packaged food in breakfast everyday. Use bad quality seed oil for cooking eggs or other items. I had kept a glass in kitchen to drink water and cleaning staff took it away without asking. All they need is your money and no service.

Academia, embora bem equipada, funciona das 9:00 as 19:00 somente e alem disso é cobrada taxa de 5 Euros por dia para uso. Deveria ter café disponível no almoço e jantar.

La piscina es enorme y había hamacas de sobra. Es moderno y elegante a la vez. Los recepcionistas muy amables y personal suficiente

Las camas eran horribles. No suele quejarme, pero no pude dormir bien porque los colchones estaban muy hundidos en el medio y hacía bastante frío en la habitación (no había nada para taparse excepto la sábana)

Todo o Staff está de parabéns, o Sr Paulo que nos acolheu muito bem, a Dona Célia do serviço de quartos, equipa de animação muito profissional. Excelente pequeno almoço, toda a alimentação no geral muito boa e variada.

Was happy mostly and would use again a the right price. The leaflet with food times and area's you could get snacks were not true and were absent on days or not used. But the food for the price i paid was execellent and the staff were great in all areas.

Algunas políticas que manejan en el hotel, como que los snak para el todo incluido tenga horarios, y que no pueda consumirlo cerca de la piscina y solo en el espacio de los snak, deposito 20 euros por cada toalla, pero son mas políticas del hotel, por que el personal es muy amable y atengo siempre con disposición para los huéspedes

A comida era razoável. Mas para o tipo de hotel poderia ser muito melhor.

Simpatia e disponibilidade do staff, a área de lazer junto à piscina e a piscina em si é espetacular, a animação noturna é muito boa, o restaurante tem uma extensa variedade de comida que é formidável, o estacionamento também marca pontos,o apartamento, apesar de não ser necessário na nossa estadia, é autossuficiente.

Não achei a cama confortável, não tinha a informação de que a piscina interior/spa tinha um custo acrescido e que este custo era apenas para 2 horas de utilização, a televisão tinha alguns canais mas só 2 ou 3 é que se viam em condições.

Os quartos super limpos, os funcionários super atenciosos. Os animadores top. Parabenizar o Jonathan e o Adriel . E todos da animação super animados e atenciosos. Recepção todos atenciosos. Pequeno almoço , almoço e jantar com uma ampla variedades. Piscina ampla.

Os valores cobrados pelo uso da piscina aquecida, Quadra de pardel E academia (Ginásio de musculação) Pois se você já faz um reserva all inclusive. Isso também poderia usufruir. Snacks da manhã e da tarde. Poderia de um variedade a mais. E poderia também servir petisco no Pool bar ao invés só de líquidos.

Lovely hotel. I didn’t avail of all the great amenities as I wasn’t there on holidays but to visit a family member in the hospital across the road. The staff were so helpful on reception when I had to extend my stay and the barmen in the reception bar were so welcoming each evening with dinner and drinks as they knew I was on my own. I was only B & B so cannot comment on lunch and dinner buffet but the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. Suites are a great size with large balconies.

This hotel is absolutely terrible by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The staff are incredibly slow, completely unprofessional, and shockingly inappropriate. Some employees openly flirt with minors, which is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. On top of that, they can barely speak English, making even the simplest communication nearly impossible. How is a hotel supposed to function like this? The food situation is a complete disaster. For eight days straight, the buffet has been exactly the same no variation whatsoever. Most of the dishes are either undercooked or completely burnt. It’s honestly shocking that this is considered acceptable. The rooms are not cleaned properly at all. Trash bins are left full, and basic housekeeping standards are clearly ignored. Even in rooms meant for three people, they consistently provide towels for only two. It shows a total lack of care and attention. But the worst part of this hotel is without a doubt the security staff. Their behavior is aggressive and completely unacceptable. They intimidate and harass minors, threaten to call the police over minor issues, and even force children back to their rooms. This is not security it’s outright abuse of authority. I strongly advise anyone to stay far away from this hotel. This place fails on every possible level.

This is not a 4-star hotel experience and falls short across multiple areas. The lobby is acceptable at first glance, but the grey and blue design feels dated rather than modern. Staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which was disappointing for this standard of hotel. The overall setup feels like an “extras at every turn” model despite being all-inclusive. There is a Grand Caffè in the lobby where drinks are chargeable, which defeats the point of all-inclusive. The pool was extremely cold and unusable. The kids lasted around five minutes. There was no heating, even in off-peak season. Plenty of sunbeds were available, likely because the pool was not usable. (We did visit in April) Evening entertainment was minimal. A small mini disco took place in the bar, but it was not clearly advertised and there was nothing else on offer. The food is a major disappointment. There is essentially one main restaurant, split into a green family section and a blue adult section. In practice, you eat all meals in the same space every day, which becomes repetitive. The menu does not change much and lacks variety. The restaurant also feels more like a canteen, with muted green décor and plastic seating. Rooms were poorly designed. We had a double bed area separated by a wall, plus a sofa bed and cabin-style setup for the children that moved and felt unstable. The fridge also switched on and off loudly throughout the night, affecting sleep quality. Housekeeping is only every four days unless you pay extra, which is not acceptable for a hotel claiming this standard. Pool towels are collected from the spa and only changed every three days unless you pay, plus a €20 deposit is required. The gym costs €5 per visit and is very basic. Overall, the hotel uses an extra-charge model for almost everything, despite being advertised as all-inclusive. The hotel is also very strict on rules. We were stopped after leaving the restaurant with a couple of bananas and told to return them, even though they were included in the all-inclusive package. I understand rules, but this felt excessive and poorly explained. Overall, this hotel does not deliver a 4-star experience. It cuts corners in too many areas and is not worth the price, especially for families expecting an easy, all-inclusive stay.

I stayed there for 6 nights with my 5 year old son and I won’t be coming back. This is advertised as a family hotel, however kids entertainment is nonexistent. Kids club is open between 10:30 to 12:00 and then between 14:00 to 18:00. There are almost no toys and the kids just come and go. Nobody checks if they are allowed to leave or not. My son was at the kids club for a day and a half when I found out that I needed to fill in a form with my details in case of an emergency. Kids disco starts at 21:30 so it is a miss if you have little ones. Nobody at the reception told us that the adult only spa has a family hour. I only found out after I asked our tour provider for suggestions. The spa family hour is bang on during dinner time from 18:00 to 19:00 and costs 16€ per adult. If you have young kids chances of enjoying it with them is quite slim. Don’t forget the gym is 5€ per day as well. Padel, basketball, tennis is at extra cost. Towels were 20€ deposit and you can only exchange them every 4 days or pay 2€ per towel for an early exchange. Balcony has no drying rack and they won’t give you an iron. They work with a laundrette, so you’ll need to pay if you want your clothes pressed. On the day of our arrival the pool area was filled with empty cups, no spare sun beds despite us being there during offseason. Can’t imagine what it is like during peak. There were crisps on the ground and no staff to tidy so guests were moving stuff around themselves which is not great when you’re on holiday. If you are caught by bad weather there is nothing to do in the hotel and they make no attempts to entertain guests. There are no games for children inside and generally nothing to do if it rains outside. The ‘game room’ - you would think it will have games for children. Filled with cheap arcades, some of which are out of service. They would be better off adding some toys for children and make it a nice free play area. Snack bar opens at 16:00 and you can’t even get your food. You need to queue for sandwiches, crisps, cakes or fruit. The food is average and warm, not hot. My son got a burger that was fried by a chef and when we cut the patty open it was completely raw in the middle. The staff just took it away when I said it’s raw and we’ve not had any apologies. (Check your meat) The hotel is quite far away from kids attractions, about 40 minutes to Krazyworld or Zoomarine, which will cost you if you are taking a taxi. The nearest big supermarket is about 20 minutes away. The one closest to the hotel has mouldy cakes so would not recommend unless you just need a sealed drink. On a positive note the area is beautiful, lots of outdoor walks and the town is nice. The hotel staff is friendly, rooms are spacious and clean and it was very quiet during nights. The playground is quite big, so it has plenty of space for everyone, and it’s right next to kids club, and the kids end of the pool, so you can enjoy yourself by the pool while keeping an eye on your children. The swimming pool is surrounded by a hill that shields you from wind which is a plus.

Rooms huge and spotless, however the rest needs a rethink. If you have children the entertainment is virtually non existent. Can’t takes kids in blue restaurant, which means only one option. Food is bearly warm and of poor choice. Only fresh fruit on a morning was either oranges or grapefruit, the rest are tinned rubbish. Depending on your concierge your push chairs are left at the door, obviously depends how they feel n the day. Can’t get a child’s ice cream until 16:00-17:00 so you have to purchase. Kids disco very poor, when entertainers are not present there’s music blasted out which is inappropriate for kids. Towels cost 20euro each which is refundable however if you need to change before having them 4 days, yes 4 days there’s a charge. I suppose that’s not too bad as there’s no ice cream available so the kids can’t drop it on your towel!!!! All in all not the best and definitely won’t be returning here.

Last evening here at the Alvor Baia, had a lovely week and we’ve enjoyed the hotel and local area- we would certainly return as overall it’s been an excellent experience, however there are a few things that could be improved or changed to make the experience even better. Positives- large clean and spacious rooms, cleaned daily and great for a family with older children due to separate sleeping areas. Space to store clothes but could benefit from extra hangers. We had to call housekeeping a couple of Times and each time they responded quickly. The food is one of the better AI we have experienced, lots of fresh fish (although some with bones, this seems common!) salads and rice/pasta every day, a good children’s selection. Although there was rarely pizza which is always a hit with children. I am vegetarian and always found plenty to eat. Breakfast and lunch are probably the better meals of the day. We didn’t really use the pool as it wasn’t ’pool weather’ but the pool side bar area was always clean and service was friendly. It’s a huge pool with a shallow end for little children. The location is great, 15-20 mins into Alvor which is a beautiful town And lovely base to explore from. There is a free shuttle bus to the beach frequently every day, which takes you to the boardwalks cliff side of the beach, this is stunning and only 15 minutes from the town. There are some lovely caves to explore with beachside cafes. Uber to travel further affield is very reasonable. To improve- the snack bar, limited opening times and not allowed to take Food out of the downstairs bar area. Meaning you had to sit in the bar and couldn’t take it to the pool or rooms, it was only open For 90 mins in a morning and 90 mins in the afternoon. This could be much improved by moving the units upstairs into the wasted paid-for bar which Is barely used yet takes up a lot of space in the foyer/pool bar area. There are also big queues in the snack bar due to the limited timings, and non self serve. The games room- when we booked it was advertised as having a pool table, there is now no pool table. A hotel this size could easily accommodate 2 or more pool tables as these are always a hit with Families. Again, the hotel could utilise space better and more provide a pool table area under cover outside or near the foyer. The spa- I paid for a 2 hour spot in the spa. The pool is cold and the jets/hydro facilities not working. A team member said they would switch them on and they didn’t. One of the saunas doesn’t work and the spa showers were just like normal showers. There is no peaceful element to the spa, but if viewed as an indoor pool just for a swim it is fine, however, this Shouldn’t come with a spa price tag. Overall this is a nice hotel and we would return, the area is lovely and the hotel provides everything a family can need for a week away.

Os funcionários não falarem português. A zona da animação deveria ser mais elaborada e com um espectáculo também mais elaborado. Apesar dos animadores serem extremamente simpáticos e esforçados. As crianças não poderem usar a piscina interior, principalmente em dias que chove.

We enjoyed our holiday here but there are a few things that need improvement before we would return. Check in was easy and the reception staff were very helpful. We arrived early and were allowed full use of the hotel right away. However, our room was not ready until after 4pm, this is too late. The restaurants and bars were very good. The staff at the pool bar were all great and kept the queues moving with a smile and kind words. There is a wide range of drinks available but not premium brands, the cocktails come from a machine and are a bit sweet for my taste but people seemed to love them! The beer is Super Bock which is very good, the wine is of better quality than usually found on All inclusive. The restaurants were a bit noisy, the blue adults restaurant a bit less so. We found the food to be very good, the fish dishes were our favourite but there was always plenty of meat and vegetable choices. Deserts were excellent and there was plenty of chocolate for Easter. As many have stated the food is not always very hot, but there are microwaves available. Our room was large and had separate bed and living room where the kids slept. There was a fridge and 2 ring cooker. I requested a kettle before we arrived and again when we were at the hotel. It never arrived. This is terrible customer service, go out and buy some kettles! There were 2 tvs in the room, one with no remote so did not work, the other with a damaged HDMI socket so no games console or streaming device could be connected. There was a large balcony with a table but only 2 chairs. There was nowhere to hang wet clothes so people hung things over the balcony rails, of course the wind blew them away, leaving random items of clothing around the resort. Again a minor irritant that could be fixed easily. Finally the entertainment was basically non existent. Some games around the pool during the day and a quiz at 3 o clock. The evening entertainment was another quiz, bingo and once Karaoke. Super cheap options that are not good enough for a 4 star resort hotel. Most people went out in the evening away from the hotel which tells you all you need to know.

Friendly staff, very clean, spacious room - no tea or coffee making facilities, yet our room had a microwave and stove ?. Pool area clean, enough space and sun beds. The let down was the food - nothing you would put togeather, food is down to taste and option but for us pretty odd and for the most part warm, not hot

Another fantastic stay. The staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculate. The food can be repetitive as others have mentioned but we never went hungry and the cake selection makes up for the main courses. The only issue we had was that a lot of families visited for the weekend for the Bonicup and children were left unsupervised, running wild in the corridors, banging on doors, making mess in the lifts. Hopefully my next visit wont coincide with this event. If your considering booking do it, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you to all the staff who do an amazing job.

This hotel was superb. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. We arrived at 9:45pm, dinner stops at 10pm. The man on reception said he'd get us checked in as quick as possible and then store our bags so we had time to get something to eat as he knew we'd been travelling for hours and probably wanted to eat before going to our room. After eating, our bags were brought to our room. The staff really good out of their way for you. Nothing is too much trouble. The food selection was brilliant. I'm a little fussy yet I always found plenty of options to choose from. It was all delicious. There were 2 dining rooms; 1 for families and 1 for adults and over 12's. My only criticism is that hot drinks, with meals, were only available during breakfast. The hotel was immaculately clean. The cleaning staff were always friendly and would say hello. All the staff seemed like they were enjoying their job and we're happy to talk to you. It made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. The location was perfect for us. There were several shops just a short walk away, the beach a 10 minute walk and the town just 15-20 mins. Remote enough to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to get anywhere very easily. We caught the free shuttle bus, to the beach, on the first day but after seeing how close it was we walked after that. The beach has a broadwalk all the way to the town that's very accessible for all. Its a lovely walk on a nice day. Our room was very spacious and fully equipped; we stayed all inclusive but you could stay here self catering. The balcony was huge and we had a view of both sea and countryside. We had some beautiful sunset views. At night it got a little chilly but the heating was easy to work and very effective. The pool was massive with plenty of seating. Chairs and tables in front of the bar and sun loungers with a table and large umbrella all the way around the pool. The bar had a wide selection of drinks; hot drinks, soft drinks, beers, cocktails and spirits with mixers. The only negative of the holiday was that there was no nighttime entertainment however, as we went in early March it was out of season so understandable. I booked with Tui and got a great deal. Much cheaper than a comparable holiday in the UK. The all inclusive made it exceptional value for money. The beach was stunning; soft sand, blue sea and several bars/restaurants to choose from. I suggest walking to the town along the beach as its such a nice walk. The town was beautiful. There were plenty of shops, bars/pubs and restaurants all in such a lovely setting; cobbled streets and painted buildings really set the scene of such a charming town. I would definitely come back.
