De kamer was groot genoeg. Enkel de bedden vielen wat tegen betreffende kwaliteit. Het ontbijt was ook geen 100 percent. Als je croissants moet eten uit een plastiek zakje, is geen kwaliteit. En een cursus behangen kunnen ze daar ook wel eens gaan volgen

Hosts were very attentive to my needs. friendly. location was good as not too far from train station and even better only a stones throw from the sea front. I liked the quality white cotton bedding. I liked the fact that I could have a reasonable late breakfast (9.00pm) Pretty quiet, very little sound from other rooms and no road noise. On my check out day was able to leave my case to be picked up later in the day.

would have like some gentle background music in the breakfast room as it was very quiet when eating on my own in the morning.

The location was perfect right on the seafront. The hotel was very quiet so no noise from other guests who were staying despite the hotel being full. The bed was very comfy. We were late to arrive but our host was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was included and was just right - not an excessive cooked breakfast first thing in the morning just choice of cereals / tea / coffee and eggs if you wanted. Good honest price & great value for money.

The location and the view from our second-floor room were absolutely tremendous. Ash couldn’t have been nicer and the lady who cooked and served our breakfast was lovely too — both were genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming.

We stayed in Room 10, a family room on the second floor, and unfortunately it was extremely dated and very much in need of refurbishment. Having read the reviews before booking, we really weren’t expecting the room to be quite as tired as it was, so I think it’s important to mention this for future guests. Breakfast was also quite basic, with juice, cereals, fruit and yoghurt, and a choice of egg or beans on toast, or toast. It was perfectly adequate, but again useful to know what to expect. Sadly, despite the lovely people and wonderful view, we wouldn’t personally choose to stay again in its current condition.

Location couldn't have been more perfect, cleanliness was excellent everything was spotless- super pleased!! Mattress was very comfortable, sound proofing was good we weren't disturbed, also seems small but was so good we had multiple windows that open fully to get a fresh breeze (so many hotels seem to barely open a crack!) Staff were super helpful which we were really appreciative of, even helped watch over our bikes! The only thing I would have suggested is we like our coffee a little stronger 😂 but everything was perfect for our needs, a really sweet little place, and witbing easy walking distance to everything you could need. Tthankyou so much 😊

Great location and easy to find. Was welcomed with a warm smile and the lady was very pleasant. Room was a good size, very clean. Bed comfy and cosy. Mr Ash at breakfast was very professional, and again I was greeted by him with a warm and friendly smile. Breakfast even though was limited, was plentiful, and fried eggs on toast was delicious.

The people running ash hotel were absolutely amazing very polite ,friendly and helpful would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Losing electricity on our last night and no way to report this .

After driving on to Exmouth, we spent the night in a small Hotel B&B. The building stood out immediately: painted bright poison‑green with red dots, it contrasted sharply with everything around it. Our room was small, as was the bed, but everything was clean and reasonably well maintained, even if a light renovation wouldn’t hurt. What we did have was a sea view and a wide choice of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was continental and perfectly fine by that standard, except for the croissants that came straight out of a plastic bag. What can I say? For £85 for a clean room with sea view, it was actually not bad at all.

As a humorous, slightly negative remark, one could say that a brief team huddle before getting starting the refurbishment job, would certainly have improved the outcome. And of course, a bit of consultation before painting the façades wouldn’t have hurt either…

The owners/management were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The bed was very comfortable. The bedding and towels were clean. Location was very good.

The hotel is incredibly dated, it doesn't feel like a pleasant environment to be in. There was a strong smell of mold/damp coming from the basement when the door was open. The bathroom was shabby and in need of updating.

Excellent location 5 minutes walking from Station and town centre and also 5 minutes walking from the beach. Owners very nice and welcoming, the room was clean, comfortable and with everything I needed. Private toilet with bath tub for personal use. Great breakfast included, which is a plus. Definitely recommend and I hope to come back in the near future!

Für eine Nacht war es völlig in Ordnung. Der Besitzer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer sauber und von der Größe auch total in Ordnung. Das Bad etwas kleiner, aber es hat alles funktioniert wie es sollte. Die Lage ist perfekt direkt am Hafen. Vor allem, wenn man mit der Fähre aus Starcross ankommt, sind es nur ein paar Schritte zum Hotel. In der Gegend gibt es auch einige Restaurants, in die Stadt sind es ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Frühstück kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich schon früher ausgecheckt habe.

Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

The hotel is 1 minute walk from the beach - which was absolutely wonderful. The single room was pretty large with more cupboards and space than I needed! Lovely friendly hosts. Also, although the breakfast was continental, I was able to get bred&cereal-free version of it, which is great too!

Very welcoming and attentive staff, we had a room at the front with wonderful sea views which was a fantastic way to start the day. This is a traditional B&B and we enjoyed our overnight stay very much.

The decor and ambience are a little dated and noise carries within the building.

The couple who own/run this b&b are lovely and very helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection. The b&b is very close to the beach and only 10 mins walk to the town centre and only a few mins walk to the nearest pub. Good value for money.

The shower was over the bath which was not good for me but it was clean and the shower had good pressure.

Lovely family run bed and breakfast hotel. For breakfast we could choose between eggs and/or beans on toast and help ourselves to some yogurt, fruits and cereals, no meat. The room was clean and nice

The top floor room was quite hot when we arrived after a sunny day. Keep in mind that the stairs to the room are quite steep. The shower is also quite clunky, we had to cleverly use a teaspoon to keep the shower door shut and it was also hard to figure out how to turn on the shower itself.

Brilliant location. It really was a sea view from the room! The bed was very comfortable and i slept well despite it being near the road. Breakfast was nothing special but it was adequate and portions were good. It provided everything you needed. The couple who ran it were very delightful lovely people!

The Ash Hotel B & B was perfect for the one night stay we needed for a birthday party cruise leaving from Exmouth Marina. It was a 2 minute walk so the location was perfect. Ash was very welcoming on our arrival and was a very pleasant chap The accommodation was very clean and our bed very comfortable.

Only downside was the bathroom and toilet out of the room. Although sole use, and spotless my only concern was disturbing other guests during the night.

Toilet in en-suite was a l little low. A little tight on the tea and coffee supplies - only 2 sachets given per day - had to go and ask for more.

Just our preference, really, but if we stay again we will bring eye masks as there were only light curtains, no blinds, so the room was very light early in the morning. It was mainly quiet but suggest ear plugs due to early morning bin lorry and seagulls. There were toiletries but this was just a small sachet which did the job but prefer a nicer shower gel and suggest to bring your own towels if you prefer them to be larger. Soap dish in shower only really holds the sachets, anything heavier meant the soap dish fell to the floor which is then hard to retrieve mid shower. Shower itself lost pressure consistently. The toilet seat was old and very loose. There was a lot of furniture for a small room. Decor very busy and mismatched.

Location on the seafront was perfect! More than a Continental Breakfast,Cereals, Croissants , fresh fruit & yoghurts', Juice, tea & coffee, plus eggs or beans on toast. Mire tgan enough. Very accomodating lady.
