Reviewed Sep 10, 2026I loved my stay at this hotel. My room was perfect and the view was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for exploring the local area. Highly recommend this accommodation.
A small fridge. Why pay to eat out when you this balcony and view. Would have been nice to keep some drinks etc cool. Especially considering the hotel does not have on-site restaurant. This would not stop me highly recommending though.

Very close to railway station with minimal uphill; slope to access the hotel. Do not arrange for collection from station. Completely unnecessary (and exorbitant fee offered). Breakfast though not exciting was perfectly adequate
Renewal of teabags and cleaning of tea cups would have been nice.

ホテルは駅に近いが、急な上り坂を 荷物を持って上るのは 結構大変だった 部屋が狭くデスクもなし、パソコン作業や、小物や荷物を広げるスペースがなかった 部屋に冷蔵庫なし、冷やしたい物は フロントにお願いする（その度に階段を往復するのが面倒） 冷房がないので 窓を開けていたのだが、虫が入ってきて困った（今後は網戸を付けて欲しい） グリンデルワルドの宿泊価格が高いので仕方ないのかもしれないが、コスパは悪いと思った

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026I was in Grindelwald for the Eiger Ultra Race, so the location of Hotel Caprice 5 mins from the start (and finish) was perfect. Its also really close to the railway station which is convenient if you travelled by train as I did. My single room was at the front of the hotel with a fantastic views of the Eiger, and also had a balcony which was lovely to sit out on and take in the panorama. One aspect of the Hotel I particularly appreciated was that they started breakfast at 2am on race day, my event started at 4am so this was a big bonus.
There was nothing I didn't like about Hotel Caprice.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Close to the Train station, but the location of the hotel is located on a hill, which need to go uphill to get to the hotel. Not too convenient if you need to carry a big luggage. But overall the location is great. The e hotel is comfy and nice. Good breakfast too.
The room is a bit small, but still can accept.

No AC or fan, really hard to sleep at night in hot room. There’s also no window screen so leaving the window open at night is creates a hazard for bugs.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026酒店风景特别好，阳台上就可以看到三座山峰和梦幻山坡，超过了绝大多数景观餐厅。早餐面包好吃，咖啡好喝，而且提供无糖酸奶，控糖爱好者开心。距离火车站很近。房间虽小，但是设计合理，洗头，晾衣服都很方便，阳台有晾衣架。房间没有空调，但是晚上睡觉不热很舒服。
早餐种类不够丰富，卫生间有点小，房间隔音一般，但是不影响晚上睡觉，因为大家都睡的很早。

Ce chalet typique à l'intérieur rénové magnifiquement vous satisfera par sa décoration et son aménagement à la fois simple, efficace et élégant. Vous pourrez également profiter d'un espace bien être au top.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Great location: Minutes to Grindelwald train and bus station. 15min walk to First Cable car station. Visitor card grants free ride on bus 121-123, connecting Grindelwald Terminal station. Supermarket is also within 5min walk. Tips to travellers: it’s on a small hill (3-4min with luggage) and no lift in the house, so bring manageable luggage. However because of this it has a better view and is quiet at night to ensure good sleep. I had a room with a balcony that’s facing the Eiger peak and a lovely garden. Room has great shower water, and shades to keep the heat out during summer. In late June, it’s refreshing to wake up to a good view and seeing sunshine scatter across mountains. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice with varieties of food and view of the mountains. For tax below 50, prepare cash in CHF (ATM is close too)

Reviewed Mar 28, 2026For those that prefer smaller, friendly, family owned and run hotels, Caprice is perfect. The staff were efficient and very helpful. A daily news bulletin was provided every morning at breakfast which included weather forecasts, snow reports for skiers and suggestions for places to visit or local activities. Not forgetting the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi! A bonus for me was its close proximity to Grindelwald train station. A guestcard gave free use of buses 121, 122 and 123 which gave access to ski lifts to First, Männlichen and the Eiger Express up to Eiger Gletscher and Kleine Scheidigg. The view of the Eiger was wonderful. My room faced west, looking towards the Männlichen mountain (see uploaded photo).

Alles war extrem sauber und gepflegt. Absolut empfehlenswert / Highly recommended 👌
Das Einzige was man (je nach Bedarf der Gäste) anpassen könnte, ist das Frühstück ab 07:30 Uhr. Da die Bahnen zum Skifahren bereits um 08:00 Uhr öffnen, wäre es vorteilhafter wenn es bereits um 07:00 Uhr Frühstück gäbe.

Reviewed Jan 27, 2026Für uns war es perfekt. Unser Zimmer war klein aber mega schön eingerichtet, mit einem grossen Bad und wir haben uns mega wohl gefühlt. Alles sehr sauber, bequeme Matratzen, Wasser auf dem Zimmer, gute Verdunklung, super Frühstück mit toller Aussicht auf die Eigernordwand. Was will man mehr.
Die Anfahrt zum Hotel ist eng und recht eisig. Da war auch gutes Schuhwerk und Vorsicht erforderlich um ohne Sturz ins Dorf zu kommen. Es wurde aber vorher kommuniziert dass sie Zufahrt recht steil ist.

The only issue we encountered was noise from inconsiderate fellow-guests ignoring the Hotel's excellent rule of night time calm from 10pm to 7am. The hotel was good at taking this up with the guests in question for us and the issue was then resolved. Then we had a noisy boy at breakfast every day, who could so easily have been asked by his parents to keep his voice down, but they did nothing; and one day guests behind us spent time watching a film on a mobile at breakfast, with the sound on, also disrupting the pleasant calm atmosphere created by the hotel in their superb breakfast room. This could not in any way be blamed on the hotel, but they might like to consider gently intervening to prevent guests imposing unduly loud voices and mobile phone noise on others.

宿泊代は事前に支払っていたので、現地では宿泊税の支払のみだったが、CHF50以下は現金のみでクレジットでの支払いができないのが面倒だった。一円も換金せずに行ったので、駅近くの銀行で両替してもらって支払いした。

The location is perfect. Eating breakfast while looking up at the Eiger. What more can you want. Highly recommend Hotel Caprice if you are travelling to Grindelwald. We will be back.

Reviewed Oct 6, 2025فندق جميل ونظيف جدا وقريب من السنتر مشي ، الطريق إليه وعر قليلا على صعود ، اعتقد ان صعب الوصول إلى الفندق في المطر الشديد أو في نزول الثلج ، قريب من السنتر ويوجد فيه مواقف وحمام خاص .. إطلالته جميلة ولكن عند حجزي تم اعطائي غرفة اطلالتها عادية ويوجد في الفندق أجمل من اطلالة غرفتي ، الفطور جميل جدا
صاحبة الفندق جيدة في التعامل ولكنها غير ودوده جدا مع العرب ، وانا كنت أرتدي النقاب مع العباية السوداء ربما ان شكلي كان غريب بالنسبة لها

Reviewed Sep 17, 2025Nette ruime en schone kamer. Balkon met fantastisch uitzicht. Moderne, niet al te grote badkamer. Douche met ruim voldoende heet water. Goede, snelle en stabiele Wifi. Goed ontbijtbuffet met ruime keuze. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Station op 5 minuten lopen.
Het bed was echt slecht, harde bodem en matras waar je de veren doorheen voelde. Een iets comfortabelere stoel in plaats van het krukje zou prettig zijn. En ik miste een kleine koelkast-minibar. De kamers zijn wat gehorig, met name naar de gang toe.
