Oakwell Guest House

Cannot rate this place enough. 5 minutes from train station and down to seafront. Wonderful owners that are very accomodating. Gorgeous breakfast. Mini fridges in rooms are a godsend for a diabetic. Have booked in for next year, 3rd year of visiting.

Everything was excellent

Lovely Breakfast. Enjoyable stay.

Pillows

Close to train station. Owners very friendly. Quiet room. Basic but comfortable. Excellent breakfast.

If I was being really picky the cabinet above the bathroom basin made brushing my teeth over the basin a bit awkward. No big deal.

Friendly owners and great breakfast. Bike storage in the back.

Lots of stairs

The place was very clean, well-run and the host was both efficient and friendly. I'd happily go there again.

For the price, it couldn't have been better. The room was a little small/cramped, but there had to be a reason the booking was such good value.

Brilliant location with good parking on the street

Roomwas clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, a good choice offood. The friendly hosts came and chatted with us wholemeal finished our meal.

The area wasn't the best but was close to the bridlington spa so perfect for us. The toilet flush was very noisy so didn't dare flush during the night as would wake other guests.

Great place friendly hosts.nice breakfast.good location.enjoyed are stay.

Nothing

Liz and Chris were very friendly and, with their extensive local knowledge, were able to give tips on sites, restaurants etc. Breakfast was good - freshly cooked to order and great to start the day. Would reommend

Perfectly located for the harbour. Walking distance from the boats.

Well organised owners.

Excellent hosts! Went out of their way to accomodate my request for secure parking for my motorcycle. The decent, well cooked breakfast was a bonus. The room had every convenience you would need and, the property is reasonably central too.

Nothing springs to mind in particular, not a dislike just more of an observation, the place is looking a bit tired.

Good clean guest house with excellent breakfast

Not much we didn't like

Very comfortable room & beds. Host was very friendly.

Hosts Liz and Chris were very welcoming, friendly and helpful which made my visit pleasurable and comfortable. My room was spacious and well equipped. Wi-Fi worked well. But the highlight of my short stay was the wonderful bespoke 'full English' breakfast cooked freshly to order by Chris.

I really enjoyed my overnight stay at Oakwell Guest House. Great location, right near the harbour, south beach and a lot of restaurants, pubs and shops. Very good for parking on the street, and they supply with you a permit as soon as you arrive. The hosts were brilliant, very helpful and friendly and it was very nice to be able to get a cooked veggie breakfast. No complaints at all, highly recommended.

No problems at all.

They were really friendly and helpful owners and the breakfast was the best I have had for a very long time. I will book there next time I visit Bridlington.

Breakfast was great, I liked that we could pre-order the day before and only have items we actually wanted to reduce waste. Chris and Liz were very friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfy and the location was really central and very quiet and felt safe at night.

We stayed in a family room. The property is central for Bridlington, very clean and the people running the business are lovely. Breakfast was excellent….freshly cooked, tasty, plenty of it and we had a lovely conversation with the owner after. I would definitely stay at Oakwell Guest House if in Bridlington again and recommend others to stay if you want to experience clean, good quality, traditional seaside accommodation.

Nothing, we had a great stay.

Good location.

Nothing to dislike during my stay.

Friendly welcome. Quiet. Good breakfast.

Light around door at night - naybe the stairwell area could be fitted with motion lighting sonit gies off.

The host was very Welcoming. Clean room, comfy bed, tea, coffee & biscuits. Lovely breakfast. Had a nice chat with the couple at breakfast. Great location , free parking. Good value for money. Will definitely return.

Breakfast was lovely a choice of cereals and a full english location was 10 mins walk from the sea.

Nothing at all...a lovely stay.

Breakfast was good. Location ok for what we needed.

Stairs

Good location near seafront and town centre. Friendly helpful owners. Best cooked breakfast ever. Comfortable rooms.

Not a problem really, but no lift so probably not suitable if mobility issues.

Great breakfast loved the place

Nothing

Great overnight stay at Oakwell. Liz and Chris go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable - even checked trains for me as I was worrying about getting stuck in the snow. Plenty of breakfast, which was lovely. I will definitely make Oakwell my go-to guesthouse when in Bridlington.

Central. Very hospitable

Rather tired decor and facilities

Hosts were very friendly, breakfast was fabulous! Just what we needed.

Breakfasts was delicious, options of cereals, yogurt, juice, and cooked English breakfast

All very good

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a great feed. Recommended.

Very friendly couple who run the place gave me some solace as I contemplated my own idiocy of travelling across the country for a 10k race that never happened due to snow and ice!

I can't think of anything but if I'm forced to comment the stair carpet has seen better days but for heaven's sake who in their right mind would care about that? I know I don't!

Nice room and lovely owners. Made to feel very welcome. Great breakfast too. We will be back.

Enjoyed another great stay at the Oakwell. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Friendly, welcoming and accommodating hosts. Superb breakfast. Great central location for train station, bus station, shops and beach.

The hosts were incredibly accommodating — they kindly let me drop my bags off early and even leave them the next day after checkout while I was busy. Everything you’d expect from a good B&B was provided, and the breakfast was absolutely perfect. I had a wonderful weekend stay in Bridlington and would definitely recommend Oakwell Guest House to anyone visiting. A warm and welcoming place that really makes you feel at home.

Nothing at all — everything was spot on.

Friendly staff, clean spacious room, very comfortable nights sleep and loved how many plug sockets there were 😂

Chris and Liz are very kind hosts who make Oakwell Guest House such a lovely place to stay. It is great to have a comfy bed, an ensuite shower, an included breakfast and a small fridge in my room - all of these things make a place really nice. It is a very cared for and welcoming Guest House.

Very nice stay at the oakwell very clean owners really welcoming and the breakfast was amazing

Great hosts nice warm welcome when I arrived and then left alone . Secure cycle storage. Great breakfast. Nice and quiet but close to supermarket for supplies and also close to pubs and restaurants.

Booked this for my dad for a couple of nights. He said that the staff were welcoming and helpful, great location. Brilliant breakfast as well.

Very clean and it was nice to have a separate bed for the night 😂 Very good location and very nice host

There’s nothing to say Probably would like a fan in the room
