Perhaps better than expected. Clean, friendly staff and value for money.

I had an accessible room because I had requested a vibrating fire alarm. The bathroom was large and accessible. Breakfast was excellent and I avoided the queues. The hotel was only 5 mins walk from the ICC.

Although the room was deemed accessible, I could barely reach the safe. It would have been impossible from a wheelchair. I struggled a bit with the lifts. I could not hear where the beep had come from and not all had an indicator to show arrival.

It was a really good location, the heating/air con worked, coffee machine did espressos and tram stopped nearly right outside. Room and bathroom were spotless.

The entrance was immensely dirty but I understand that it was not in the hotel’s control due to it being on the high street. The elevators and the breakfast area were dirty too. We got placed in a room probably meant for those who needed more support in the toilet. For us, that meant that there was no separation between the shower and the toilet and everything was wet. Not what I’m looking for in a hotel. Disappointing stay.

Scrambled eggs at breakfast were awful. The sausages were not nice either.

They made our stay feel welcome and special putting in a little surprise for our anniversary celebration.

How horrible and uncaring your staff were after we were evacuated in fire alarm . How they showed no concern after I collapsed outside. That it was my fault for not seeking help when I was in no state to ask anything.

We arrived at 5.30 pm and found there was still plenty of space in the car park and it was easy to find our way from the car park to reception on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The room was spotless and more than adequate for our overnight stay. We selected this hotel in Broad Street as we would be spending the evening in Brindley Place and then on to the NIA for a concert. It was ideally located and only a 5 minute walk to plenty of bars and restaurants. Returning late at night also felt safe as there was plenty of police present in Broad Street as it was a Friday night, as well as security on the front door of the hotel. I would certainly look to stay here again if we have another concert booking at the NIA.

The restaurant vs the hotel seemed two completely different entities. Whereas the hotel and the rooms were smart and slick, the breakfast area was not to the same standard. We were shown to our table by restaurant staff and then completely left to our own devices with no explanation as to where anything was. The selection of food seemed good, although there was only one selection of egg and we have never seen or tasted scrambled egg like it. There were a few disgruntled customers over the limited selection on Saturday morning. The coffee and tea machines needed a good overhall - may be some thermos pots of coffee may be better and milk out of a machine was very watery. The staff all looked as if they wanted to be somewhere else and there was certainly no enthusiasm to clear the used tables once the guests had departed.

The breakfast wasn't the greatest but there was lots of it so set us up for the day.

Great location for the International Convention Centre and other event spaces in this part of Birmingham and tram and bus routes just outside to travel further. Ample on site car parking. Excellent, helpful staff through my stay in all departments. The buffet breakfast included in my room cost was excellent.

As the hotel has 17 floors there was some waiting for lifts, especially around breakfast time. Although perfectly accepatble, overall the hotel appeared a little tired and could do with some refurbishment.

Handily placed for getting to the Edgbaston cricket ground (on the Acocks Green bus), and just a 15-min walk from New Street station (though you could get the tram on Stephenson Street). Excellent breakfast.

Little bit noisy from the clubs and bars on Broad Street, even in our 9th floor room.

The rooms were extremely clean and the beds super comfy. Breakfast had a varied choice.

The bathroom door didnt close leaving us with very little privacy when using the bathroom. This was also the same in my friends room across the corridor.

Only downside were the lift we were on floor 13 and it took a good 20 mins for a lift to arrive but in the grand scheme of things wasn't really an issue

The hotel and staff are fantastic. Parking is easy. We got an early check-in which was a bonus. Buffet breakfast was delicious and plenty of different choices. 24 hour reception, bar, snacks. Free Wi-Fi, newspapers, water top up and fitness centre.

The hotel is situated on Broad Street and on a weekend it does resemble the strip in Benidorm! It is really close to Brindley Place which has loads of lovely restaurants and bars by the canal. Walking back to the hotel is a totally different vibe and you might feel a little bit intimidated! It depends on your life experiences I guess. It wouldn't put me off going back again.

after a fire alarm I asked about any refund / compensation (I was there for work and had a training morning booked with 15 new staff , due to the fire alarm I had to cancel the morning training at considerable cost to me of both time and money) . the manager I spoke to was very rude and dismissive , he said "there is much more important things , someones been taken to hospital don't you know?" he then literally turned his back on me and walked away! . by this time everyone have been let back into the hotel and the incident was completely over , all the emergency services had left and people were back in the hotel having breakfast. due to my morning already being delay I didn't have time to hang around and argue the issue but if this guy was on my staff and I heard him speak to a paying customer like the way he spoke to me I would sack him in a second! . horrible way to treat a paying customer

A well situated hotel on Broad Street, just slightly away from the rowdy nightclubs, with on-site parking The entrance is a little strange as reception is on 3rd floor. It's a 'no-frills' hotel but everything about it is to a high standard. The staff are exceptional. The buffet breakfast was plentiful.

A very petty thing but the only available eggs in the breakfast buffet are dry rubbery scrambled eggs! an option of poached or fried eggs would make a difference.

Wonderful staff, a very clean and comfortable room and a great location.

The room was clean and well laid out, we were comfortable and pleased. We had a room on a high floor which gave a fantastic view of the city. The location was wonderful, near the canals and local.attractions and directly next to a tram stop making getting around easy. At check in, Hanan was exceptionally kind,helpful, and information, which set our stay off to a great start.

The location was a little noisy in the evening, but this was fine and didn't effect sleep etc

It’s on a busy nighttime economy street but I had asked for a quiet room so was at the rear of the hotel on a higher floor.

Breakfast was delicious and there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The hotel was well located. I was able to save on transport to the ICC as it was just a short walk away.

I can’t say I didn’t like anything’s about the property as the hotel was great . I was just a bit disappointed that there was advertisment on booking .com for parking but they didn’t state you had to pay £15 per night for that . I think that should be made clear UPON BOOKING

Parking gave us a bit of trouble. We could NOT get interconnecting room with our children as we have done in other hotels previously. Had to stay a few rooms apart which was less than ideal. In fact, we were initially offered rooms on different floors but we insisted on getting on the same floor. Children’s room was less than ideal.

There being an electrical fire in an empty room and disabled guests being left without communication to fend for themselves. Loud music booming until early hours from nightclub next door , had to sleep with headphones and heavy metal music to drown out the noise. No clear instructions or address for the car park and no drop off meaning had to leave car in different more expensive secure car park,
