Marriott VIP here. I almost never write reviews but this Ritz Carlton deserves one - PLEASE AVOID! Worst one I’ve stayed at and I’m a frequent flyer/ traveller. I should have trusted the reviews - I thought there’s a certain standard that a Ritz Carlton property will hold itself to, but I was proven wrong. Food: Kise (Teppanaki) is fine; Riva (the Italian) is hopelessly bad. The seafood pasta is so overcooked I can’t finish it. The grilled octopus is ice cold by the time it got to us. I saw good reviews for the Vitello Tonnato - it was so bland and just so bad I needed to ask for black pepper (because there’s almost no tuna sauce, and the black pepper dispenser on the table did not work) and Tabasco, and only because I was hungry and had to eat something. (In fairness, the Tiramisu was good.) What’s worse, there’s simply no food options on site - you can choose between burger and sandwich at Riva for lunch, or similarly limited options with room service (because no other restaurants on site serve lunch). There’s simply nothing else. On day 1 we had to have the afternoon tea set during lunch time because there’s no good options, and only because the staff was kind enough to let us order that before tea time. Service is otherwise subpar - I raised my hand for minutes before I actually get service at the restaurant - an unpleasant surprise for a supposedly luxury hotel in Japan. Even though I’m still staying at the property, I actually just booked tomorrow’s lunch at Halekulani (this is why I’m on Google maps and decided to write a review, which I’m also posting here), where we stayed previously - I simply cannot take another meal at this hotel. Oh and, the only hotel pool is mosquito-infested as the sun sets because of all the lights they put up - fine during the day though. They will drive you to nearby beaches, but the concierge just don’t know the area well enough - we were dropped off at a beach that’s closed by the time we were dropped off (to be fair it was 6pm but we were hoping to see the sunset and asked for recommendation) and had to call our own uber back because they don’t pick you up after 7pm. Please do yourself a favour and book Halekulani or Busena Terrace if you’d like to stay in the area.
Let me tell you about the hotel that saved our honeymoon and left us completely speechless. We had originally booked elsewhere in Okinawa. I will not name names, but the experience at the other hotel was so far below expectations that after just one night, we looked at each other and said: we are not spending our honeymoon here. So we packed our bags and walked next door to the Ritz-Carlton Okinawa. And that decision changed everything. From the second we stepped through those doors, we knew we were somewhere different. Somewhere special. Hitomi Adachi and the team did not just check us in. They welcomed us. They found out it was our honeymoon and from that moment on, every single interaction felt personal, warm, and genuinely thoughtful. This is not the kind of service you can train people to fake. This is a team that actually cares, and it shows in every detail. The room was breathtaking. The kind of room you do not want to leave in the morning. The kind of room you talk about for years. The views, the space, the quality of everything around you, it all felt considered and intentional. The location is stunning. Okinawa itself is paradise, but the Ritz sits within it in a way that feels effortless. The amenities matched everything else: impeccable, generous, and exactly what a honeymoon should feel like. We arrived disappointed. We left completely in love, not just with each other, but with this hotel, this team, and this island. The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa did not just meet our expectations. It reset them entirely. If you are celebrating something that matters, if you want to feel like a guest rather than a room number, if you want the kind of hospitality that you will still be talking about years from now, book this hotel. Do not hesitate. Do not look anywhere else. We will be back. That is not a hope. That is a promise.

We thought to save the best for last and to spend our last 2 nights celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in Okinawa. Horrifying experiences. We kept thinking to ourselves that could not be real - no, it was. Let me summarize why Ritz-Carlton Okinawa only gets 1-star, I would give minus 5 stars if I could. X Rude reception valet parking employee - questioned why we were there X Unsanitary room - Blood stains around the toilet floor. Body hair found everywhere in the bathroom X A card written to another guest name, not to us X "Downgraded" to a ground floor room with no view, just facing the wall, with people looking down on the jacuzzi X No consideration of our previous request for early dinner time. An employee in touch with us offered us a restaurant reservation for 9pm at 3pm, how inconsiderate is that? X Asked for bath salt multiple times, still no bath salts. They were not listening at all. X Managers basically did not offer anything (credits, refund, etc) in their good will, and made their team members signed a bunch of apology business cards, waste of their time, still failed to make up for the mistakes at the end. Only empty apologies. X Asked for a refund from Marriott, hotel still came back with empty apology. We are not the demanding kind of customers (please see my other nice hotel reviews), my very first 1 star hotel review. You did it RC Oki. quite surprised we were not offered anything at all, no credits no refund. We were too tired at the time to complain because one crazy thing happened so fast after another, it sounded too impossible and crazy for so much to happen in a 2 night stay. We deserve a refund for our time staying there and the time taken away from us while all of these happened. Then still remember it 3 months after... We are writing this so we can let go of this part of memory of our life. If you are interested in more details please see below: - Upon arrival, the welcoming front door staff member, did not properly greet us or offer any expected warm welcome. She in place held up her arm to signal our car to wait. After a short wait the staff member approached, she questioned why we were here, further asking if we knew it was the Ritz-Carlton. We advised we are here for early check in. She asked if we were looking for someone. Woww.. 1st time ever we heard this from service staff from hotels at any levels. Surprisingly disappointing, especially in Japan, where hospitality and attention to detail are typically foremost. Essentially this raised feelings of being denied service, which to us would be an offense of worst levels. In response we simply proceeded to the main counter, addressed our concerns. We were offered an apology, confirmed reservation and proceeded to check-in. - At check-in, no explanation was given to us about hotel amenities, activities or available facilities. (Later I found out they hold yoga sessions with a nice view on the terrace in the morning. I brought a yoga mat to do yoga in the room anyway but still!!) The first room (ocean-view) had several issues: - Visible blood stains spots on the toilet floor and body hair in throughout the entire room floors, indicating poor cleaning and maintenance. (It is totally unsanitary and Hygiene total failure!) - A note addressed to another guest was left on the table — raising concerns about whether the room was properly prepared. (Facility was made aware of our 10 yr celebration on upon reservation and arrival...) - To address Hygiene concerns, the manager moved us to a new room. (We were nearly ready to check out at this point). We made most of the new room. It was late and we were tired, entire day already passed. We realized the new room did not have any view at all, in place was an outdoor jacuzzi with neighbors above looking in. No privacy at all. We much preferred the indoor soaking tub with view room we originally booked and it was taken away. We were actually clear that view were important to us, again no one was listening or paying much us much attention. (Failures on top of failures...) Verbal apology was offered and surprisingly they did not initiate or suggest to offer any compensation or credit or in form of services for the inconvenience and mistakes, or simply to make while we wait to move on from this location. Compared to Ritz Carlton Fukuoka we were once simply delayed on check-in time, the manager immediately offered us drinks tickets on the top floor bar plus a meal! Our stay at Ritz Carlton Kyoto, they just did everything so perfectly without asking, plus they already offered us so many local goodies and souvenirs that came with the room its self upon arrival (even during normal stay, not even celebrating of anniversary). The team in Ritz-Carlton Okinawa could not even come up with simple thing of this nature? We were again left with uncomfortable raised feelings with anticipation of when if would just be over already. It wasn't until the last night stay in the 2nd "no-view" room that the staff finally placed a note and some heart shaped towels. Again, this is the first hotel in this region that didn't even give us a tiny piece of cake or dessert, even cheap on giving us a peice of fruit for our anniversary? Are they on tight budget? or even ask what we liked... The lack of attention and of care was especially disappointing for a property of this level. Despite repeated multiple issues, the hotel made no effort to make up for the experience: We tried the afternoon tea. The pastries were delicious. The service was a drag. Asking staff to refill my tea was an effort. They would only refill per cup not pot, which was a very strange service, and incredibly slow. Made for awkward tea experience that felt out of place. One place we enjoyed our time was at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner at Gusaku. All the staff there were provided excellent service and experience. This point gets 1 star for RC Okinawa. The next day at 3pm, the staff who was assigned us to provide individual service reached out offering a 9pm reservation. We has already made very clear a strong preference of an early reservations and that we avoid eating late. taff already now aware of the failed experience we were being faced with. Failed again adding insult to injury. We had initially intended to try the Italian restaurant, however, not even a reasonably timed reservations was possible. At the end, a bunch of signed business cards were placed on the bed in a heart shape and a pair of chopsticks were given. I am just thinking it was a nice gesture but they could have just made up and offered us something nice as simple as a dinner during our stay instead of making it a hassle for all their staff to sign the cards... only leading to us having to carry on this most displeasing memory. Overall impressions: The hotel ground was nice, nice restaurants. Front desk staff seemed a bit uptight. They all look very nervous. It immediately reflected the leadership team style. Leading to strange behavior and lacking hospitality. Total lack of details, professionalism, and sincerity that would expect and most often enjoy both in Japanese hospitality and standard international hotel service. In conclusion what should have been a special and memorable finally to a long awaited 10 yr anniversary stay turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. We will always come back to Okinawa to celebrate because we got married here 10 years ago. Surely we would stay clear of this hotel in the future.
It’s difficult to put into words just how magical of an experience we had at Ritz Carlton Okinawa. It was our first stop on our honeymoon through Japan and it smashed all expectations. From the very get go we were welcomed with open arms by the staff, to the point we felt we were with family at home. Every detail of the hotel and our experience was impeccable. The views, the comfort of our room, the kind and compassionate hospitality provided by staff and management is unlike anything we’ve experienced. They sprinkled treats and trinkets throughout our stay to congratulate us on our marriage. Even on our way out, everyone who worked with us throughout the week came to say goodbye and provided very thoughtful gifts, goodies, and hand written cards that hit us right in the feels. A few highlights, the buffet breakfast is out of this world. Kise is an incredible restaurant experience, with so much attention to detail and quality of food, almost personalized experience. The club lounge is an absolute must add-on. The perks, meals, and extra concierge attention pays back your experience tenfold. The views are picture perfect. The amenities, gym, pool areas, and spa are other worldly. If you are looking for paradise in every sense of the word, Ritz Okinawa is it. Special thanks to Sushant for his kind and thoughtful nature, setting the stage from our welcome to seeing us off. Anda and Naoki also raised the bar throughout the week answering questions and ensuring we had what we needed around every corner. And to Hitomi who helped set us up for our day off the grounds and answered many questions throughout. Protect these staff at all costs. They are what set the bar so high and made our stay extra special. Can’t thank them and the broader team enough! It took 34 years to discover this place, and it will be much sooner before we return.
• Stunning Views and Serene Setting: The hotel is built on a hill overlooking Nago Bay and is surrounded by the Kise Country Club golf course and lush gardens. The design emphasizes tranquility, with open-air hallways, water elements, and a calm atmosphere. • Dining: The food is highly rated, particularly the Kise Teppanyaki restaurant for its superb Okinawan Wagyu beef, and the luxury breakfast buffet featuring local delicacies. • The Spa: The dedicated spa building is described as a peaceful sanctuary, offering treatments using indigenous Okinawan ingredients. • Complimentary Shuttle Service: While not directly on the beach, the hotel offers a complimentary driver service to nearby attractions, beaches (including the hotel's own area at Kise Beach), and local restaurants. most highly recommended for couples, golf enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a secluded, quiet, and service-focused retreat in Northern Okinawa.

A superb and relaxing weekend. Had the "Club Experience" and was wowed by the attentiveness of all of the staff. The chef made a special effort to accommodate allergies and food sensitivities. The highlight of the visit was the superb Okinawan teppanyaki chef at the Kise restaurant. The chef far exceeded my wildest expectations with the melt-in-your-mouth Okinawan Kuroge Wagyu Beef. The reputation that KISE has for the best black Okinawan Wagyu Beef is well deserved. The long drive from the airport is worth this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Hotel maravilhoso
The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa is a prime example of true luxury and world-class service. From the minute that we entered the hotel, we were met with warmth, kindness, and supreme hospitality. The check-in process was a breeze and we were both provided lovely welcome drinks to kick off our 5 year anniversary. Having just travelled from the airport, it was nice to be taken care of so well immediately. Overall, the property is impeccably maintained and luxurious. The hotel grounds are tastefully appointed, clean, and whisper (not scream) luxury with ornate and timeless art and décor. However, the staff members are the true gems of The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa. Everyone that we spoke to (in particular, Maya from Gusuku during breakfast who went above and beyond to provide us exceptional service and Wes - I hope I translated correctly - from Housekeeping) truly embodied The Ritz-Carlton pinnacle of service. I would also love to spotlight the kind lady who was maintaining the lobby floor and cleaning the windows, she was absolutely a gem to say hello to, although I did not get her name. ROOM: We were located on the 4th Floor and had a beautiful view of the grounds and Okinawa; the room was immaculate, had every single item imaginable that we could need during our stay, and most importantly - comfortable! We had already been in Japan for about 2 weeks as this point, but my most relaxing sleep was during our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa! AMENITIES: I spent my time at the pool during our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa. It felt like an oasis in the midst of a heatwave, and after braving a few rainy days, I truly loved being in the sun. Additionally, the grounds leading up to the spa and gym are a wonderful adventure. Although the gym equipment could be modernized a bit, it still proved useful during our stay. We also took advantage of the complimentary yoga classes offered by the hotel and loved them both! The instructors were pleasant, patient, and truly wonderful. Overall, the highlight of our 3 weeks in Japan had to be The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa. However, if I may, I would like to politely provide some feedback regarding potential guidelines for other guests - our first night at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa was soured a bit due to some loud guests who were yelling and using their phones on speakerphone. This was the only time that the magic of The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa was a bit shattered, but the rest of our stay proved to be absolutely magnificent.
Our third stay at the Ritz Okinawa was nothing short of awesome. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with warm intuitive service that defines true luxury. The staff here are exceptional. They're genuine, attentive, and passionate about making your stay perfect. A sincere thank you to Mathieu from the Club Lounge, Ashok at the Bell Desk, Kei from Gusuku, the team at Kise restaurant, and Akari at the Front Desk. Each of them brought their own unique charm and hospitality that elevated our experience. The newly remodeled rooms are a perfect blend of comfort and traditional Okinawan style. Thoughtful touches, rich textures, and a calming palette make the space feel both luxurious and rooted in place. The design of the hotel as a whole reflects a deep appreciation for Okinawan heritage: timeless, serene, and deeply connected to its environment, yet undeniably unique within the portfolio. The pool area is tranquil and beautifully maintained, ideal for a relaxing day in the sun. Dining throughout the property was superb. A true highlight of the stay was the spa, easily one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. The serene atmosphere, world-class treatments, and highly skilled therapists make it a sanctuary of wellness and relaxation. It’s an experience I would travel back for alone. One more gem worth noting is the hotel’s gift shop. It’s beautifully curated with local goods, crafts, and souvenirs that you won’t find anywhere else, thoughtful, stylish, and deeply tied to Okinawa’s cultural richness. I love the rope bracelets and Okinawan Ritz lions. If you’re seeking an experience that combines refined luxury, heartfelt service, and a profound sense of place, The Ritz Okinawa delivers on every level.
The drive from Naha airport to Nago Ritz Carlton takes about 1 hour . We arrived at 2.30pm the check-in process was somewhat “cumbersome” we were seated at a reception table with really low slung chairs whilst the front desk agent was seated in a high “office chair” . Being a small Asian woman my chin was almost touching the edge of the desk and having an agent looking down on me as I was trying to complete the check in forms was uncomfortable ( although she was trying her best to make me feel welcome …and it got slightly over the top after awhile ) We were given a room on the 2nd floor although spacious and having all the amenities you expect of a Ritz Carlton - the room was uncomfortably cold and even after turning the air conditioner off , the coldness lingers which exacerbated my cough . The room overlooks the golf course ( as golfers it was a welcoming view ) however the hotel does not operate the golf facility which runs independently - although I understand that the hotel is able to book for play off . We spent both evenings at the bar lounge which has some awesome sunset and the both bar tenders were a delight , very pro-active and interacting with us in a most convivial manner which makes us feel welcome . In summary Ritz Carlton Nago is isolated - unless you play golf or spend a day in the spa . I think the hotel might have some activities ie yoga but having other activities ( cooking classes , hiking trails ) to keep both kids and adults will be helpful .
We loved the location and the beautiful decor fantastic staff and spa
This is an outstanding resort hotel tucked into a beautiful tropical setting. It is at the top end of Rich Carlton properties. It is on par with almost any Forbes 5- star property. I’ve been to. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, soft robes, even comfortable pajamas. The bathroom is stocked with amenities and clean fresh towels. Water pressure is excellent and plentiful. There’s a nice soaking tub. As it is Japan, there is a bidet style commode. The air conditioning worked great. The spa is must see. Treatments are excellent in the wet areas are uniquely Japanese. The restaurants deliver delicious food with friendly service. Every one we went to spoke English. The hotel is nestled among golf courses, though it does not feel like you’re in the middle of a golf course. It feels much more like you were in a nature preserve. I’m not a golfer, so I cannot speak to the quality of the courses.
Staff and service was incredible. Breakfast was special and had a great selection of local Okinawan cuisine. A huge thank you to Endo who took care of us from the moment we arrived and departed.
We are really lucky to come to have one night Accommodation in Ritz Carlton Okinawa because we can meet the most amazing hotel captain we ever met - Ayaka Ishiguro. She treated us so good and took care of us down to very small details and She always took long distance to greet us or escort us to hotel entrance during our stay. :) My daughter's head had recovered soon from her head bump becoz of your timely supply of iced pack. The property itself is amazing too. Our room is very clean and well maintained. The whole environment is very beautiful and is surrounded with an atmosphere of serenity. Our reservation included the club lounge experience and it is amazing. The food is very nice and the club offered wide choice of snacks & beverages. The wine is of high quality brand and thus the whole experience definitely worth the price. We definitely recommended the hotel to both family and couples for long vacation or short trip.
Beautiful hotel, we were blown away! Great service and delicious food throughout. Our room was stunning and extremely comfortable. Perfect stay!
I stayed here only for a night but it really gives me a great impression. Location-wise, it's quite far from the main city Naha, Nago also doesn't offer much city life as it's mainly residential. So you need to know that this resort is mainly for those people who wants a quite getaway, away from the crowds, away from everything. A bonus if you a fan of golf, the greenfields here looks amazing. My detailed reviews: 1) Location: As i have mentioned, this resort is secluded but still accessible. Public transit is slow and takes a lot of time from Naha. Private transfer can be faster although it's going to be expensive, but if you travel with groups and families, I think it's better to go with the private transfer. Don't expect any shops or stores here, you definitely going to be limited with options from the resort (don't worry, there are decent options you can have here) 2) Lobby/Reception: The lobby area can be a bit confusing, but rest assured you won't get lost because the concierge team will be happy to guide you to the reception area. The lobby lounge has a nice view of the green fields, the reception area is also nice with comfy seating. 3) Room: The room is really spacious. The ocean view from the balcony is really nice, sadly it mostly cloudy and rainy during our stay, so we don't spent much time in the balcony area because it can get wet and slippery. I appreciate plenty of storage space to store luggage, clothing, etc. both in the bedroom and bathroom area. The bathroom is nice, huge, good lighting, and the bathroom amenities is top notch! Room amenities also decent, complete with a Nespresso coffee machine. The bed also comfortable. In the evening, everything just so quiet and peaceful, and I have no complain or whatsoever. 4) Gusuku: We had dinner here at the restaurant. I wish the dinner menu has more options, it's a bit limited between Japanese and Italian, however the taste is decent. The drink options are quite extensive though which is nice. The dining experience was really peaceful, there was a musical performance as well which elevated our experience. Breakfast also served in this restaurant, while the selection is fairly limited, it still has everything that I want and the ingredients quality is really good. Service that offered from the associates at the restaurant also very good with warm and friendly smile. 5) Other aspects: The public bath is nice, especially the amenities that they offered is top notch. It was my first time doing public bath like this but the associates are really helpful guiding me on what to do as well explaining the etiquette. I had a bit of issue with my locker, but the associates are very responsive and manage to resolve my issue. The size is not that big, but luckily there was not many people at that time so I can enjoy comfortably. The sauna room also very quiet at that time. The overall service, including the turndown service, they are really great. All the associates here are nice, friendly, they won't be hesitate to help with whatever you need to ensure the comfort of your stay.
Hotel concierges are very kind and professional 👍😎. Especially, Mr. Ito (Shinsuke) was very kind and organized to help us booking the local Yakiniku place👍😎. Thank you so much all. The hotel was very impressive.
Can’t find anything to improve.
Staff and service are consistently excellent. The building is very tasteful and relaxing just by looking at it.

Beautiful, quiet place to stay in the Nago area. Top notch facilities, amenities and staff. If you like nature, this is a great place to stay!
excellent !!!
Overall the stay was pretty good! Buffet breakfast was quite yummy, would have appreciated a wider variety of fruits. Free transport to restaurant was very lovely, the wait for buggy service from spa was rather long as seemed to only have one buggy. Check in process was slow and after asking for preference of welcome drinks, none arrived even after a good duration of 20-30minutes. Gym equipment half of which were not even in working condition, which was rather shocking. The swimming costume dryer appliance was extremely dirty and put us off from using it. Nonetheless, the service was good and hotel rooms were decent!

Like everything. It is very worth to go and try.
We enjoyed a relaxing and pleasant three days at the Ritz Carlton. We were cared for by hotel staff in every possible way during our visit. The general manager, Koji, was extraordinarily attentive, as was Laurent, director of operations, Christy, and Naoki, supervisor food and beverages. Every time we needed something one of these individuals jumped to our assistance. We felt completely spoiled and quite overwhelmed by the warmth and kindness of the staff. It is true that food and drinks are expensive at the resort, but we found that this cost was somewhat balanced by a reasonable room rate. We enjoyed a champagne reception where we met staff and other hotel guests. Valet parking and spa use were included (and the spa was exceptional) but electric bikes were an additional charge. In spite of temperatures in the high twenties, the outdoor pool was disappointingly closed in November , though the indoor pool and outdoor hot tub remained open. The hotel is set back peacefully from the busyness of the road, perched in the hills with golf course views and the ocean not far off. The hotel style is modern Japanese with gorgeous high wooden ceilings, lovely decor and artwork. The hotel design frequently offers vistas in four directions from common areas like the bars, restaurants, many patios, and the lobby, all with a cool breeze blowing through the open sliding doors. Suites are roomy and lovely. Beds are comfortable. Make sure to get an upper level room for better views.
Big and tidy room, very clean, the private bath was amazing. Very nice and helpful personnel.
Basically everything other than swimming pool and onsen is subjected by extra fee. Even for dinner or to eat something, you are forced to stay inside the hotel considering that there is nothing in the surrounding. And prices are incredibily high (something like 5x or 10x with respect to the rest of Japan).
Staffs are nice and helpful. Provide excellent services.
Would like to thanks all the staff specially Christy at the Breakfast room. This’s our 4th times here and we love it always ❤️❤️
I stayed in a two double bed room for one night as the last day of a short stay in Okinawa. I was coming from a two-night stay ay the Hoshinoya Resort. The contrast of the two hotels was interesting. Hoshinoya is a very Japanese style place, which has its pluses and minuses. The RC is very much an American style hotel. Which is not bad at all. I appreciated the breakfast buffet and having a large plate of perfectly cooked scramble eggs and all the items that comprise American comfort breakfast food - the fluffy pancakes, bacon, etc. The rooms were also very well furnished with no end of amenities. The property itself is very clean and well laid out. If you are a smoker, be aware you cannot smoke on the balcony and there is only one smoking area in the entire property. I also had the teppanyaki course dinner at Kise. The highest price Kise course ran around 30,000 yen. It was a bit pricey but the courses were excellent. I appreciated that the chef was low-key - no juggling of knives and spatulas. If you looking for a dependable place and also play golf, this would be worth a look. The English proficiency is still a bit of an issue, not all staff speak proficient English. That's not the fault of the hotel. I think that's a problem with Okinawa and Japan generally.
We love Okinawa Ritz-Carlton! Absolutely breathtaking grounds, exceptional service, and unique dining experiences! Executive chef Marcello prepared delicious pasta and whole fish Sardinian style in an Italian restaurant! Chef Shinya prepared fugu fish 5-course dinner in a Japanese restaurant. It was a little scary and unforgettable experience! Very friendly and great service from Arnaud, Fontana, and Christy. The Front office manager's service was impressive! He greeted us upon arrival, making sure everything went well helping with transportation or any other questions (just name it). If you decide to come to Okinawa, we highly recommend staying in Ritz-Carlton!
Excellent stay in this property. Breakfast it a vast selection of dishes both Japanese and Western. Great music in the lounge bar Service outstanding in all aspects amd outlets. Pool was great during the day. If I have chance i will come back.
This was my 3rd time staying in the same hotel in Okinawa but it was my worse experience ever. My stay was between 11-15 September and my booking was a cabana room. I am a smoker, during check in, I was being told that my room was a smoking room (quite surprise), so, during the stay, I smoke e-cigarette inside the room. However, upon check out, I was told that I need to pay the penalty due to I smoked inside the room, I was quite shocked. Since I need to go to the airport, I didn’t argue with the staff and paid ¥54K for the penalty. Actually, at that moment, I was very upset and had the feeling of being cheated and robbed. Other than that, the overall environment is still good, the Kise teppanyaki is still very delicious.
Love this hotel! The bedding is amazing, the staff are more than eager to help and are really great! They take care of your room multiple times a day. It is a resort with nothing really around you so sightseeing is a challenge if that’s what you are looking for. If you want to visit a beach, they can help you arrange that but there is no beach on site. The pool is great - large and warm. There were a few restaurants on site and some nearby that the hotel can shuttle you to. The staff was great for recommendations to eat off site. I’ve been to this hotel twice - first was 2019, then again 2023 - they have gotten better in terms of stuff to do at the hotel. Looking forward to returning in the next 2 years.
10/10
we loved the hotel atmosphere and decor. it was a lovely setting and the staff were very gracious. in particular we enjoyed our room, a cabana room, which had its own courtyard with jacuzzi spa. we would definitely recommend that room if staying at the hotel. Additionally, virtually all the staff spoke English so that was helpful for us
the property was in a fairly remote location, we had a car so that wasn’t a problem, but for someone without a car seeing the rest of the island would be difficult. those wanting to play golf or enjoy the pool or beach will love the hotel
Breakfast was simply amazing. Ms Naoka was phenomenal. Very friendly staff… entire time there was worth every penny. Spa put me to sleep it was so relaxing. Great team!!
I couldn’t stay longer, but spending my 43rd birthday there was one of the most amazing gift I gifted myself.. even if it’s just a one night stay.
The venue is gorgeous ! Ocean and golf views are both very nice. Lot of nature around and inside the resort. The interior design is refined, the rooms very comfortable and spacious. Staff very careful and efficient, the food is tasty. A wonderful Christmas time in a venue we will definitely visit again during a next trip to Okinawa!
Absolutely beautiful place. Nice bay view over the golf course. Spacious room with outstanding friendly staff. Breakfast was great, had both western and Japanese style breakfast.
We had a wonderful time here for our anniversary. We enjoyed the spa and the on site restaurants. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I had mentioned our anniversary while booking the room, and they went above and beyond making our stay feel special. They decorated our room and had a special dessert made for us. It was a great experience and we will be back for sure. I highly recommend!
Excellent property with great facilities and services. Spa was excellent. And everything sits in calming trees and ocean view.
The staff and facility were amazing! The staff went above and beyond for my wife’s birthday and our 26th wedding anniversary! I can not thank them enough. The facility is absolutely beautiful. We will be back.
Wow! Absolutely amazing. Their service was hands down incredible. We were able to use the spa for “free” since it was included in our cost. Breakfast was included as well and I would highly recommend trying to the Japense breakfast - also - it’s a buffet sit down style (currently in March of 2020) so you can order essentially as much as you like (insider note). Speaking of which, if you have gluten allergies - the Ritz is so incredibly accommodating at all of their restaurants including the breakfast. Their chefs are knowledgeable too. Definitely try the Kise restaurant since it may be one of our top food experiences. The spa is amazing along with the massages and facials. Yoga was for free and I’d encourage you to join if that’s your thing. The Helios “Awamori” distillery tour was really cool and you were able to drink as much as you want. It’s a vacation within a vacation when you stay here: the toiletries, rainfall shower, turn down service, coffee machine, tea, complimentary water, etc. side note: the “airport shuttle“ is actually the island’s bus which is very affordable but just get a taxi if you’re coming in late to Naha airport or rent a car. Ritz will pick you up and drop you off at the bus station. No, this hotel is not near the beach, it is a 20-minute walk. If you like to golf this seems like you’re best bet. Again, we had such an incredible once I a lifetime experiences. Yes, the Ritz are worldwide but we believe this is at the highest caliber.
Great stay! Love Okinawa and loved staying at the ritz! Beautiful facilities and super comfortable room. The bar is such an amazing experience - the bartender was amazing and made it such a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon. Only weird thing is that you have to pay to use the steam room facilities with a day pass - seems like it should be included with the high room rate if your a guest... but everything else was great.
A very good hotel and i am sure i will come again. The only problem is the gym is very difficult to find and there is no signage for it. The staff told us it opened 24 hours but it seemed it was not as all door closed after 9pm.
Thank you very much for all!! We really think that it was the best hotel ever!! Service was remarkably amazing and everything was top touch !! Really awesome and thankful about all !
Excellent service and always ready in assistance to assure guest a comfortable stay👍👍👍👍👍
As usual the customer service was amazing as expected from Japanese. The room is beautiful with a very comfortable bed and nice view, nice touch with the jazz music on the player. One thing that bothered us was probably the toilet the two-way doors which seemed a little bit uncomfortable to be honest. The bathtub was amazing though. Not many beaches around but the closest one is nice just a little bit crowded, luckily the Ritz Carlton has their own corner at the beach.
Check out was fast and our luggages were already placed inside our rental car with bottles of drinking water for our drive.
it is ok, but would prefer more grass or garden for small children to walk or run around.
The mattress is in very poor condition. The mattress just caved in when I lay down and It is unable to support my back. Also there was a used slipper found underneath the bedside cabinet. I simply can’t imagine Ritz Carlton’s cleanliness is so poor
After a jet-lagged week of budget-hopping around Asia, a luxurious night at the Ritz Carlton was the perfect reset! We’re continuing our trip refreshed and energized.
Beautiful hotel with excellent service. Only ate breakfast at the hote which was very good included a selection of both western and Asian food options. Located on a golf course and near a beach. The hote offers free shuttles to restaurants near by.
Great experience, very nice and neat hotel with extremely helpful staff, will definitely come back!
