Holiday Inn London - Luton Airport by IHG

Very good experience. Jess checked in me and was very kind and beautiful. She will be very good in the hotel. Breakfast was good also and the staff their work hard.

We stayed overnight ahead of holiday - super stay. Les looked after us wonderfully for dinner; we had a blast doing the hotel’s family quiz - a nice change from games on screens. Won chocolate. Hotel room was just what we needed. Cookies on arrival - perfect

As we spent most of our time in the bedroom, my rating is based on this. The mattress in our room was awful and well past its sell by date. You will roll into the middle of the bed. Our room was number 10 on the ground floor. The bathroom needs serious upgrade. Silicone seals was done by a person in blindfolds. Duck tape on the shower handle and just a bad finish. Staff were pleasant, and the dining room was comfortable and a good breakfast.

Barely slept. Tiny double bed. Sandbag like pillows. Also, they want £18 for a pizza from the restaurant. Stay somewhere nicer if you want a better start to your holiday.

10 minutes walk from the airport terminal, well convenient for early morning flights. Still and sparkling water offered in the room along with a Cadbury chocolate bar as a welcome treat that was much appreciated 👍🏻 Bathrobes and slippers are also available in the room, which was a big plus! The breakfast buffet has a great variety, and the staff is very friendly and efficient! The double bed was quite small in size. Very compact bed for two people. Felt like a large twin bed rather than a double bed. It would be good to have a variety of tea offerings in the room, i.e., Peppermint and Decaf tea, rather than only English breakfast tea. Dated rooms, but a good option for a budget hotel within walking distance from the airport.

This is a nice hotel, but we were disappointed by the size of the bed. We were in an executive room, but the bed was more like a large single bed, so not the best for two people. Although the room was generally clean, there were white stains on one end of the sofa cushion. Not the best look!!! It was also clear that the room had not been thoroughly hoovered. A smashed Malteser, under the sofa, was proof of that. The overall surroundings of the hotel are good. The restaurant and the food are good. We were served by Maria, who was professional, knowledgable a pleasure to deal with.

Stayed 1 night. The room was large, clean and had everything I needed. The heating worked (which is unusual for hotel rooms). Evening meal was superb, one of the tastiest curry's I've had. All staff were great and breakfast was lovely, with 'proper' coffee in a coffee pot (not seen before in an IHG hotel). Bed was too hard but may suit other guests. Large car park on site. I would definitely stay here again.

I specifically booked this hotel because it advertised that breakfast was available from 3am, and we had a 4.30am flight to catch. All I really wanted at that ungodly hour was a cup of coffee. When I saw a coffee machine with a Nescafe logo on it my heart sank. Instant coffee in 2025? Come on! To add insult to injury, when I headed for the orange juice instead, it turned out to be orange squash. Reminded me of kids' parties, which wasn't what I needed at 4 in the morning.

This was really my best experience with a Holiday Inn yet. And the moment we entered, it was already great. I went there with my mom and dad along with my 2 siblings. Staff were smiling, and greeted us. They had also given us a mystery box to find a toy inside. It was clean, and the smell felt like they used a diffuser. Inside the room, it was kind of small, reminding me of Holiday Inn Express rooms. It wasn't really spacious, because the interconnecting room door collided with the wardrobe sometimes. But that did not mean the room was any less than what we needed, it was clean, warm and cosy. Unfortunately, this hotel did not offer runway view rooms (i love planes and probably the hotel doesn't face towards the runway), although the lobby can give some plane views. At dinner and breakfast, it wasn't really noisy, the food was great and kid-friendly. For people going to Luton Airport on holiday, there is a PID (Passenger Information Display) for buses to LLA and a departures and arrivals board. Other than that, the atmosphere was great, and we hope to stay with Holiday Inn Luton Airport again soon.

Great location for early morning flights. Excellent staff, room was great, shower etc - comfortable bed. Lounge has a bar! Early morning coffee & croissants for early morning travellers 15 minute walk to the terminal - bus stop outside the hotel (only if the driver’s decide to stop!) Hotel is Highly Recommended

Great overnight stop if you have an early flight out of Luton. Even a bus stop £1.90 right outside to take you to the airport terminal from door. Reception even has a digital display of when the next bus is so you could stay in the warm and walk outside with 1 minute before it picks up Otherwise it would be a short 15 minute walk

Everything was good

Very friendly staff and large well appointed executive room upgrade. Bed comfortable and bathroom good. Rooms was quiet. Restaurant is the new modern design but everybody was freezing as aircon too low. Also need to book which was strange as not that busy. Food menu okay but the food was poor, unfortunately not lots of choices nearby. 10-15 minute walk to airport and 20-25 minute walkway from train station

Excellent hotel to stay at when you have an early morning flight. Took us only 5 minutes to walk to the terminal with our bags.

Our Easyjet flight to Palma after 4 hours wait was eventually cancelled and we were booked into the holiday Inn by Easyjet. We arrived not in the best of moods and were told by the receptionist that she had not received confirmation by Easy jet but she said not to worry we will check you in so you can get into your room and relax. She said to come down to reception later and she would give us information if meals were included . I went back to reception and the manager said he had 3 flight cancelation bookings and would be unable to provide full restaurant service but would provide a buffet. Expecting cold meats etc we were surprised to have choice fish and chips, curry, burgers etc not haute cuisine but very welcome, Next morning good breakfast. We were impressed with how it was handled by all the staff at Holiday inn and we would not hesitate to return. As a foot note we were initially impressed by how Easyjet handled the cancelation A representative of Easyjet helpfully arranged the hotel booking and a flight the next day to Palma leaving at 09.35 in the morning , Unfortunately she failed to mention, and we did not discover until later in the evening, that our re booked flight was via Amsterdam with almost 6 hour wait for a transfer to Palma. Not wanting to spend the best part of another day in an airport, we did not take the Easyjet option and booked a morning flight to Palma by Wizzair,

The staff were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Our dinner order was incorrect but the waitperson was very apologetic and provided a replacement with a reduction off the bill. Not his fault, and he handled well. And the food was very good

After landing late at luton airport we walked to the hotel which was ideal.

Stay was really good and easy and convenient to get to airport. Rooms nice size and clean. Food in restaurant was good and of good size for money. Every staff member was very friendly and nothing was too much.

The staff were amazing! The AC in the room worked very well. The restaurant had delicious food, and the bartenders were very nice and friendly. If I ever find myself back in Luton, I will definitely stay here again. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful.

Good stay, convenient for the airport, about a 10 min walk. I was put in an adjoining room to start with but could hear every word of my neighbours so asked to swap. The receptionist kindly upgraded me to an executive room which was great.

We had a great stay here – excellent value for money. For an airport hotel, the soundproofing is outstanding, and we weren’t disturbed at all by outside noise. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant with attentive service, which made the experience even better. The room was spotless, very clean, and had all the essentials we needed for a comfortable night. Would definitely recommend.

I always stay at this hotel when travelling from the Luton Airport. Its very convenient and close to the airport. I often just walked to the airport - its not far at all. Hotel staff are really nice and friendly and try to help as much as they can which I really appreciate it.

Stayed in this hotel for one night as we were travelling from Luton the following morning. I had a great nights sleep there, no noise at all. Room fine , great shower. Breakfast really good with choice of custom ordered fresh items…. Lovely bacon and pancakes etc. the best thing was the staff the two ladies who served us were excellent, I think the lady was Ana . Would recommend.

Easy for travelling to the airport

needs to be refurbed - rooms are smelling , carpets are done, AC are not allways in good condition, elevator needs service . only the gym was clean and overall ok. the staff at the breakfast is realy friendly and serves all you wiches. the staff on the reception , time to time trainie or new, are not realy motivated or knows that the guest is the king.

Quick and easy check in. Gave my daughter a kitkat which went down a treat!! Rooms aren’t huge, but did the job for 1 night before an early flight. Staff in the restaurant were really friendly. Good quality food that didn’t cost the earth. Kids eat free which is great. They have a cupboard with games and puzzles which is a nice touch. Check out was easy even at 4:30 am. A guy asked us if we wanted a hot drink to take with us which was a nice touch. Would use the hotel again for sure.

Someone was given access to my room by wrong key card. A little disturbing when it was 10.30 pm

The service throughout the hotel was absolutely superb, really friendly and very helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Good and convenient for Luton. Unfortunately air con had broken down but we got given a fan, bottles of water and drinks at the bar.

Friendly staff and quick check-in, but disappointing overall. We stayed for about 10 hours before catching a flight, and while the check-in was smooth and the staff were pleasant, the room left a lot to be desired. It was in need of some maintenance, and more importantly, hygiene was an issue — both the shower and sink were blocked with hair from previous guests, which was really off-putting. We didn’t report it to reception as we were only there for a short stay and didn’t want the hassle of changing rooms so late at night. The hotel has a restaurant where kids eat free, but the adult meals are extremely overpriced — it feels like the cost of the kids’ meals is just hidden in the adult prices. The worst part of our experience was the airport taxi service arranged through the hotel. Despite calling three times and being told the taxi was “just 3–4 minutes away,” it never arrived. After waiting over 17 minutes and feeling increasingly stressed about missing our flight, we ended up taking a random taxi that happened to pull in. Unfortunately, between the cleanliness issues and the unreliable taxi service, we wouldn’t stay here again.

Stayed here while attending British gp for 3 nights. I must say staff are all very friendly and helpful especially Lester and his beautiful daughter Laura. Went over and above for us. Would highly recommend this hotel

Great place to stay for night before flying, bed was super comfortable, easy check in and restaurant on site. Easy transfer to airport very early - would recommend if you’ve got a flight out of Luton.

My son and I had missed our flight and had to book a room for a flight the next day. This hotel is within walking distance to the airport. What I loved most about this hotel was the extremely kind and professional staff. They made what was a not great situation into something that both my son and I enjoyed. If we are ever in Luton again, this is where we will stay! They have a great restaurant and bar there and have an early breakfast starting at 3:30am for guests leaving for an early flight.

Great stay

I want to take a moment to praise the breakfast staff Maria & Kathy. They made every effort to make our morning exceptional . They went beyond by helping both my husband and I with our coffee and eggs. They were also very friendly . I would definitely return to this hotel when I visit Luton again.

Does what you’d expect for your needs

Absolutely loved it. Les, the F and B manager and all the staff were brilliant, Made us feel special and no request was out of the question. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Stayed for 9 nights, so we got a real feel for the place

This entire review is pretty much based on the food exceeding my expectations 10 fold. Thought it would be a basic soggy bun with a dry burger, but wow, I was wrong. Bacon was crispy, burger was moist, bun was lightly toasted (but not too much) and the relish was well distributed. As for the chips, crispy, perfectly seasoned and all lovely and warm. Highly recommend!

Probably the best Holiday Inn I’ve ever been (compared to the US locations). Great value and nice place to stay for Luton layover.

Exceptionally friendly staff

An OK hotel. Too expensive for what it offers. Booked through hotels.com with breakfast but they told me breakfast not included, so had to pay for breakfast which was awful to tell you the truth. Dry and overpriced. Wont be returning again. Overall with parking and breakfast, it took me over my company limit. Parking and breakfast per day is over £30.

In general everything was good; the bed mattress in particular was extremely comfortable. Problems were: the bedside lights didn't work, which was minor, but more annoying was some sort of green safety light above the door, which stayed on all night, disturbing sleep. Horrid!

This property is nice and close to Luton airport. The reception staff were nice and friendly.

Room small, but fitted all needs for pre flight stay. Friendly staff. Lovely bar/restaurant area with 24 hour menu. Food was good. 10 minute walk from airport - bit tricky at times to cross roads with constant traffic. I think there is a shuttle bus though.

The meet and greet was friendly. The hotel was clean and modern. I wouldn't have any hesitation in stopping there again.

This hotel was exactly as I expected for a Holiday Inn. It was clean, quite spacious and offered a decent bar and food service. They even gave me a cookie at check in for being a regular stayed at IHG! As an airport hotel it is busy but the service was still good at checking, bar and for room service and for the price paid I have no complaints.

Excellent room with some lovely touches for what is predominately a hotel for airport users. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming Had recently stayed and the Ibis hotel next door and this was head and shoulders above that. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was as to be expected being close to an airport however had to request to move rooms as fan did not work in the bathroom and the room felt/smelt damp. Room 17. Staff were quick to find us another room and handled it very well

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Everything overpriced (obviously) and with limited competition this won’t change. Very close to the terminal- an easy walk but an expensive trip in a cab if the weather isn’t pleasant. Staff friendly and helpful.

The rooms are small but the beds are comfortable. Bathroom is a little cramped too but it was great for one night. Definitely wouldn’t stay longer than that.

Decent hotel, quick check in and able to get a late check out which was great. The room clean on arrival, breakfast was good. Friendly staff. Ideal location for the airport. Only downside room had no safe. Other than that I’d definitely stay here again.
