Dirty stained carpets, bedding smelt horrible, cracks in walls/ceilings, filthy, toilet and sink plughole, worn,tattered, very old-fashioned furniture/neds/carpets/curtains/decor. Breakfast was hot but swimming in grease/water/liquid, did not go the second day. Whole room smelt old,musty. Bathroom smelt horrible

Extremely disappointing stay. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I have had with budget accommodation. The biggest problem was the absolutely unbearable noise throughout the night. There is practically no soundproofing. I could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms – loud conversations, shouting, banging doors and people making noise late into the night. I could also clearly hear the traffic and cars outside. It was almost impossible to sleep. I booked this room specifically because I needed somewhere to rest before going to work the following morning. I work in a serious professional role where I need to be rested, alert and able to concentrate. Instead, I had an exhausting night with very little proper sleep. I contacted the property regarding the noise but received no useful assistance. The condition of the facilities was also very poor. There was not even toilet paper available in the toilet, and some doors and facilities were broken or did not close properly. These are very basic things that any paying guest should be able to expect. The door to my own room was extremely difficult to open and close, which also made me uncomfortable from a security point of view. The bed was uncomfortable and the whole place felt poorly maintained. I fully understand that this is budget accommodation and I was not expecting luxury. However, paying a lower price should not mean accepting broken facilities, lack of basic necessities, doors that do not work properly and extreme noise throughout the night. I have stayed in many other budget properties for a similar price and I have never experienced anything like this. I paid for somewhere to sleep, but sleeping here was almost impossible. I left the following morning exhausted and had to go directly to work without having had the rest I needed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property, especially to anyone travelling for work or simply expecting a reasonable night's sleep.

Absolutely disgusting stuff threatened to kill me avoid avoid avoid

Whole experience was horrible. House smells of old carpet. Couldn't stay there for even 2 hours and I had to leave. It was difficult to even lock the door. Could hear footsteps of other people in the accommodation so loudly.

Lovely people and the room exceeded my expectations. I had a really good time.

The breakfast was very delicious and plentiful. The host was very kind and friendly. The center was a 10 minute walk and the Lido was also close, which interested me.

Parking was a bit tricky, but I was lucky. The view wasn't great because it was facing the inner courtyard, but that was my fault because I didn't read the information properly.

The breakfast is legendary. Set you up for the day. Staff attentive. Room is clean and comfortable. Great chip shop around the corner.

Perfect place to feel like you are at home. The place is so cozy and pleasant.

Apart from the place being cozy. I have to appreciate the staff, for the support. Being moving into peterborough, i had so much of luggage and they made sure that its safe over multiple occassions of my 15 day stay here. They are the reason i felt relaxed even though i was handling heavy luggage.

The room had a fridge, microwave, fan and well stocked tea/coffee facilities. My room was on the ground floor which is good as I am not great with stairs. Full English breakfast was excellent.

No parking at the property, had to park in nearby public car park.

The only positive aspect of the accommodation was its location. Apart from that, we were completely dissatisfied with our stay.

Hello, Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The bedrooms were very dirty, and the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned properly. The bathroom mat was in a terrible condition, and there was an unpleasant smell throughout the property. In addition to the poor level of cleanliness, there were holes in the walls of the bedrooms, and the overall condition of the accommodation was far below what we expected. We also experienced several problems with the door keys. It was very difficult to lock and unlock the bedroom doors, and we spent a considerable amount of time trying to secure them because the keys simply did not work properly. To make matters worse, we found spiders and cobwebs in various parts of the property, which clearly demonstrates a lack of proper maintenance and hygiene. Overall, the accommodation was in a very poor condition and did not match the description provided. We are extremely disappointed with our stay and expect a prompt response and an appropriate resolution to this matter.

The welcome was great, and the host was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good - plenty of it and well cooked, with good coffee. We were given keys and coming and going was very flexible. Rooms are not air conditioned, but they'd provided fans and were doing their best in a heatwave. Rooms are basic but comfortable.

Rose-Marie is a small, modest guest house just outside Peterborough city centre. We were upgraded to a room with en-suite bathroom & WC, which was nice. Our room was equipped with a fridge, tea & coffee making, even plates and bowles. You couldn't hear noise from the street, neither from any rooms next-door. We arrived relatively early so were able to park at the forecourt on one of the 2 available spaces.

We could hear voices from the room above us, and from the hallway (i.e. thin doors and ceilings). The decor is harking back to some time ago, and while it is clean, it is a bit tired and worn-out.

Small room in the loft space but it was one of the hottest days of the year so was very warm. A fan was provided but it was too noisy to have on.

Kevin, the manager, was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Full English breakfast was splendid. Location handy for the cathedral for my concert with the City of Peterborough Symphony Orchestra. Parking available across the road in a public car park. Room rate very reasonable. Really cannot fault the accomodation and am already considering rebooking when I have another concert with the orchestra in November.

Full marks all round - no complaints! Well, the wife could have done with a hairdryer, but I bet Kevin would have found one if she'd asked!

The property had on site parking and the bed was comfortable. Tha owner was really nice helpful and accommodating. Tha breakfast was good value for money.

The property is a little dated and could do with a bit of updating and freshening up. The area that it’s in seems a little run down and neglected.

From the moment we arrived, Kevin made us feel really welcome! He was so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean. With everything you need. Breakfast was superb! The guest house feels really cosy, with lovely Irish charm. Would definately return in the future. The location is perfect as its only a short walk to town; with a little carboot across the road on a sunday. Thankyou for our stay 🫶

Exceptional breakfast and plenty of it. The room was large and comfortable and I was fortunate to get upgraded due to a cancellation. This was in the main house so convenient for breakfast.

The property is about a mile for the City centre but on the day we were there the sun shone so not a major issue
