Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Location excellent, right in the centre of Tetbury. A very reliable hotel, where we have stayed many times. Staff very helpful and friendly.
We did chose a 'compact' room, so no complaints, but the en suite shower room was extremely tight for space.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026The staff were extremely polite and friendly. They made us feel welcome in their hotel. The room was comfortable but the TV did not receive WIFI and the staff tried to correct. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Bathroom was ok but could use an update.
No WIFI in our room (#7) for the TV - they were unable to correct the issues claiming a poor router ?? Restaurant food was 'okay' but not special. Bathroom shower did not have a rubber shower mat and we needed to request one ?? Wondered if they are an item being stolen

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Very characterful property and welcoming staff. Very good menu in restaurant with tasty offerings both for evening meal and breakfast. Especially enjoyed the orange juice with fresh turmeric and ginger!
Room air was slightly stale, which could have been helped by having windows open. Very few rooms have walk-in showers which means less accessibility for guests with mobility issues. Although we’d asked for a twin room, when we checked in we were given a double bed which was disappointing although we coped.

Steps up to bedroom and near bathroom so felt these were unsafe to get out of bed to use the bathroom in the night. Need to be further away from the bed or even gated. Rooms need an upgrade, fresh paint, new carpets.

Very noisy in the morning, rubbish bin collections, bottles being deposited in a bin etc. whilst there is little the hotel could do, our extra lie in plans were dashed. We stayed here many years ago, this stay was quite a different experience. The hotel feels a little tired and needs some TLC.
