The staff provided excellent service, recommending a great place for dinner. The hotel is an older style, my single room and bathroom comfortable and clean. Perfect for a great value overnight stay.

Reviewed Nov 17, 2025Close to train station. Lots of eating and drinking places in the area. Hotel is old but well maintained. My room was spacious with furniture that looked antiqueish.I was surprised to find that the bathroom was completely renovated with updated fixtures, lighting etc. All in all the room was very comfortable. Also enjoyed the Japanese breakfast, good change from the usual buffet.

El personal es muy amable y los desayunos son muy completos; por lo que respecta al baño público, es una maravilla. La ubicación es excepcional al igual que la relación calidad-precio.

The bathroom was too small. It was difficult to get in and out of. This would not have been appropriate for a large person so needs to be mentioned at time of booking.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2024Very close to train station (less than 5-min walk). Quite a distance to Matsumoto castle. But the hotel has a bicycle (first come, first get basis). Good amenities from DHC. Common Microwave corner with hot/cold water machine, ice machine and japanese books for guests. Available onsen with clear instruction. Friendly and helpful staff.
The ventilator in bathroom/toilet did not function fully. So, high humidity in the room after shower. Noise from the fridge requires fixing.

I booked a twin room but was asked to pay additional 2000 yen per night for me and my wife. I remembered booking the room for two persons at the rate advertised in Booking.com. In addition, the hotel advertised rate was 128,000 yen per night and this was displayed in front of the hotel for twin bed. When I checked in, I was told that the twin-bedroom was for one person occupancy only. I felt misled by Booking.com.
