Great hospitality great location

I’ve stayed at this property multiple times, easy check in process, staff is responsive to texts. The hotel is located in a very centralized area, you’re close to everything. The rooms are good too.

Great room, very helpful staff! i enjoyed the little dipping pool not to far from my room, and enjoyed walking to the beach and restaurants!

It was a great place ample space and very walkable.

The cutest property. The supermarket is 24 hours and its across the street. They have a plaza across the street with food as well. We felt super safe and there is so many options down the street for food and drinks. The staff responds super fast. Towels were provided quickly as well as other toiletries. The pool was great and onsite washer and dryer were super convenient.

Had a great stay. Enjoyed it. Would return again.

Friendly staff, clean place. They checked in on us every morning and were nice enough to extend our stay.

I stayed here for a weekend and it was so convenient. The room was clean and the property owners were super attentive. Everything is handled electronically so I was able to get into my room immediately after landing. The beach is nearby and finding street parking wasn’t so bad. The room had nice amenities and was spacious enough where it felt like home. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, definitely recommend!

Love this apartment! Perfect space for 2 people! Very clean and comfortable. This area felt very safe and we were able to walk to local restaurants and even dessert shops. Loved staying here and will definitely be back! Highly recommend to anyone visiting to stay here!

Very clean room and outside areas..

The check in process was seamless and easy! The staff was super responsive via messages and was constantly in touch with updates when needed. The area was quiet and beautiful. Parking wasn’t as hard as we thought it would be and we found parking fairly easily. The 24 hr pool was awesome for the stay in nights but you do have to explore a bit to find it. There was a washer and dryer in our unit and it was wonderful to be able to wash all laundry before flying back home. Remember this is PR and it is an island and much of the infrastructure isn’t the same as mainland US so be prepared for lower water pressure and differences in plumbing… as paper products cannot be flushed. Other than that it was an amazing apartment and I would definitely choose this property when returning to the island it was central to so many things and so walkable to discover PR. It is a much more affordable option to hotels without sacrificing any luxury as all appliances and tech were in excellent working order.

This place was terrible because when I showed up the room seemed to be the size of a closet. To make matters worse I couldn’t sleep they the night as there were people walking past my room at all times of night laughing and having conversations. You can hear everything as if they were actually in the room. Brutal! Only good part about this place was that it had off street parking, places to eat and a grocery store very close by. But man, not even an elevator. Had to carry 3 suit cases upstairs after arriving at 2am tired. I had to book a whole new place and never got refunded for anything here. Terrible experience. It was like staying at a hostel.

I like the easy access to restaurants and that the area is pretty safe and walkable. It was also walking distance to the beach. I think the rooms are well equipped and maintained. However, I would add hooks in the bathroom for the towels. Overall, I would recommend the Mona Loiza for your stay.

The location of this property was perfect. Close to so many attractions without being too busy. The staff was super attentive. They always answered the phone and were helpful. The apartment was clean and exactly as pictured. My 1 complaint was that my terrace was not as clean but overall an amazing find. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Nice location and clean

We only needed one night stay but overall the experience coming from the busy area near Condado to this cute apartment complex was such a great idea! I loved the apartment itself, it was a one bedroom with a small seating and kitchen area. They provided the typical amenities such as soap, towels, etc. I genuinely loved it especially the ease of walking the street. Uber is really the only transportation we used which was super easy. I will definitely keep this spot in mind next time we visit PR.

Not what I thought was advertised online. To small, mold in shower. Hot entry way, not clean

The room is smaller than the pics, there is no staff on place but she seems to very nice if you need to call. There is no parking to this place and it is in a very trafficked area so be ready to pay over 50 dlls across or find a spot somewhere, there are a few places close but it is far from the viejo San Juan, the beach is maybe 3 to 4 blocks away. If you need water or anything that is not coffee you have to walk to the pharmacy on the corner. Ok place, will I stay again? No. There is nothing to it other than just having a room to come to crash.

This place is infested with insects we stayed in room 10 and noticed a huge infestation in the kitchen and bathroom area we couldn’t stay there so they switched us to room 2 didn’t notice any bugs but when we woke up in the morning me and my 2 kids where bitten up

I absolutely loved staying here. The unit was in a great location. I had plenty of options around me to enjoy especially the little free library that was across the street. I would gladly stay here again, and hopefully I get the chance to in the future.

La Mona was a wonderful experience for my son and me. The apartment was clean, and it was easy to get in contact with the staff. There was one issue with the room, and the staff was able to fix it quickly. The location was a perfect spot. It's within walking distance to many restaurants and a 24-hour grocery store. I would book with La Mona again.

Everything was super, ultra amazing, from the setup of the room to the little issentials box,it's close proximity to a 24hr supermarket and easy access for Uber pick and drop offs.. the stay was well worth it and will do it again once traveling to PR again.

I had a small issue with the lockbox when I first got there, and someone was available immediately to assist me—such a relief after a long day of travel. The apartment was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and in a great location with everything within walking distance. The detailed messages before and during my stay made check-in smooth, and I appreciated the restaurant recommendations and tips for navigating the neighborhood. One of the highlights of the service was when I requested additional towels—they brought them promptly, even on a different day. That kind of attention to guest comfort really stood out. This was an excellent place to stay. Perfectly situated across the road from a 24 hour supermarket and 2 blocks from the beach. Bus stop right outside and plenty of dining options. Only downside is despite what is shown in the pictures on their website the swimming pool is no bigger than the average spa bath. Management staff were exceptional, especially Isabel who went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The property is well situated and convenient. There’s no staff at the place to assist, as everything gets handled online, but they were pretty quick to respond to any concerns or questions you might had. We got a room that smelled really nice, but the stove wasn’t working and the floors were a lil dusty (we were walking barefoot and our feet were dirty) HOWEVER Ashley was really nice to assist and check the stove for us and found out that it wasnt working. She gave us the option to move to another room, bigger and on the same floor we were already staying at no extra charge. We needed an iron in the room and they provided that as well. Now that is Top Tier Customer Service. The only concern with the new room was that on the kitchen sink there was cold water only for the first 10 seconds and then it was just hot water. So we washed the dishes with hot water lol. Other than that, our stay was excellent, the new room was clean, bigger, the place was quiet, & we had the opportunity to do a late check out which helped us a lot. I would definitely recommend staying here!! They don’t have a parking space, BUT it’s not hard to find parking, we found parking on the same street every single day of our stay. Es Bonita y acogedora

Stayed for 3 days. It’s literally in the center of everything. Uber to anywhere for no more the $3/4 the most was $5. The only con is there is no elevator in the building so if you don’t mind the stairs then you good. The highest floor is 3 so it’s not bad in my opinion. It can get very noisy because it’s on a busy street. Very responsive and accommodating. I will recommend and stay here again.

The property was clean except that the shower floor (slight dark spots) and sink faucet (limescale) could have been cleaner. Otherwise, the tables, kitchen counter, night stand etc. were clean. Towels were clean. I loved the fact that there were two Acs in the apartment. There were all the necessities you would need after a long flight like paper towels, toilet paper, soap, cream, coffee, tea. I would have just added water! There was a washing machine and dryer in the apartment which was excellent. One note of caution - double check before booking the room that you will be getting. When my partner saw the property, he was drawn to the bedroom with terrace option because the pictures displayed showed that the terrace was adjacent to the bedroom. It was for this reason we incurred the additional cost for that type of room. To our surprise and dissatisfaction, the terrace was not adjacent to the bedroom but rather, the kitchen. There were also other features displayed in the images which were not the same with the room we got eg the sofa in the picture was bigger and the picture displayed a dishwasher.

Location was perfect, walking distance from beach, walking distance to market & dining. The 1 bedroom was perfect for our stay but parking was rough. Employees should smile and at least greet the customers that stay there, it would help and make a big difference not walk past everyone looking so mad all the time! Glad we had a first floor unit but also felt a little uneasy because the door was messed with on the top and didn’t fully seal.

The property itself was ok, but the pre- set up was very difficult. The links that were sent for credit card and DL authorizations didn’t work, too much back and forth with Beat company and the fact that there was no parking should have been known prior to arrival.

Beautiful apartment, great amount of space, very clean. Host was extremely accommodating. The apartment is located within walking distance of the beach, the grocery store, and the nightlife! Will be booking with bear again.

The check in and check out process needs major improvement. I made my reservation online and never got any instructions. If it wasn’t for a lady that happened to be there I would have been out. For Check out I had no idea that a hotel out there me is 10am At 10:15 I had the cleaning lady bouncing on the door telling me I had to leave as if I was some sort of squatter. I liked the room but I will never stay here again .

Very beautiful place to stay for short or long it is definitely worth the money. Location is really really nice and it was fairly cheap to get around via Uber from this location. Thank you so much.

Overall, the stay was nice, and the staff was communicated The only difficulty was if you have a early flight and you want to check in early to make sure to contact them 1day before because they will not answer for a while.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property and would definitely start here again. The check in process was extremely easy and there was open communication with the property owners throughout our system. The apartment was the perfect size for our stay, we really liked that there was a full kitchen in the room. The property was clean and very quite and was also conveniently located.

It’s a good property to get around. It’s near the beach, near the bus stop, near a supermarket. The staff answers quickly but they do not offer housekeeping on short stay (7 days). The AC worked well and didn’t have problems with the hot water.

The apartment is very well located. A lot of restaurants, 24h supermarket and it was not hard to park in the streets (if you want to save money with parking). The apartment itself was well cleaned and had the essential that you need.

We got there early and they quickly did everything possible to get us checked us in early! The stay was comfortable and the staff helped us with whatever we needed. Clean rooms easy access to the city. Limited parking and tall people need to watch their heads coming out of the bathrooms, though.

Apartments were clean, with A/C in every room, a balcony that faced quiet street, washer and dryer in unit. All the essentials were there in kitchen, bathroom, plus pool towels.

Had a great couple night stay. So close to great options of coffee shops, restaurants and Old San Juan. Douglas from the hotel was very helpful with knowledgeable information about the island if ever need.

Home away from home! Our place was super clean and overall comfortable. We loved our stay and will be definitely coming back!

I stayed in the studio with my friend in a girls trip and we had a wonderful time. The property itself was in great walking distance of plenty of dining options and shopping. Next time I come to Puerto Rico I will be staying here! The only downside was parking was difficult, but we were always able to find a spot near the air bnb.

Loved staying here. It’s situated in a perfect walking area, and the host is excellent at communication. Absolutely planning on returning.

The 1bd apartment was spacious, clean, very quiet, and comfortable. Located within walking distance to just about everything you may need or want to explore. Street parking was not an issue and found right in front or few cars away from entryway. Highly recommend booking accommodations under host's management. The entire process of no contact check in was easy and communication/response time was quick and thorough. Stay with Bear has an excellent host/team and I hope to have the opportunity of staying at their other locations.

I had such a great experience at La Mona. I found it to be so charming and relaxing. I’ll definitely be staying here again. It checked all of my boxes. Clean, affordable, central to bars and restaurants. It was great!

Such a great space. It was perfect. Area is perfect and close to most places.

The apartment was ideally situated in the centre of Old San Juan. The building was secure and quiet. It was within walking distance of the cruise port, groceries and many dining options. The host was extremely helpful and communicated clearly with us. We spent a week and never ran out of things to do. The only problem we had was that Uber drivers had a hard time finding us - we ended up walking to the square to meet them.

We had an amazing experience. The apartment was very clean. The pool and area were awesome. The area was quiet. We walked to the beach which was a short distance away. There is a Starbucks and a few other restaurants a block away.

This property was a very good stay, especially if you are staying in San Juan for an extended period as the units have kitchenettes equipped with some kitchen supplies, and there is laundry on the property. It was centrally located to a lot of great neighborhoods and a short walk to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They may be a little loud because the complex is on a busy street.

The property wasn’t as pictured. The fixtures and insides were a lot more dated inside than how it looked online. We got the studio plus and did enjoy having the extra room. However, the floors seemed to be stained and appeared dirty. The pool was small and not clean and some of the chairs appeared to be stained and broken. We had to go up and down a lot of stairs with luggage which was a little hard. We just expected with the great reviews and the pictures it would be a little more comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful as much as possible.

We arrived after a late flight. While the facility and room felt clean, the bathroom toilet and shower were not.

Greatly appreciate that we were able to drop our luggage off prior to our check in time. Everyone was kind and punctual to questions we had through the app. Loved the location and view as well!

AC was leaking but besides that it was clean . I had what I needed . I was alone so the space was perfect . You do have to climb up 3 flights of stairs with your luggage . No help with that unfortunately. Area is noisy so if your looking for something quiet this might not be a great option ! I walked 10 mins to La placita which was awesome & there’s lots of dining options you can get to on foot as well !! Douglas was great ! Enjoy your stay 😊

Excelent place

At first I was “disappointed” because the property it’s a bit older than imagined but my bad. Once I adjusted my expectations it grew on to me and I had a really good stay. Small, convenient, charming and there were no power issues at all even though there was a blackout in the entire island! Easy check in and check out. No need for a rental car.

Everything about the property was perfect. I had no issues with Uber to get to the property, and I had no problems getting into it. The place was big, clean, modern, and two blocks from the beach. It was a 10-15 Uber ride to Old San Juan. I'd stay there again if my next visit were in San Juan.

I will absolutely come back to this place . It was very clean, staff were great. They answered my question. Made sure if I needed anything. I walked around and felt very safe. Recommend

Room was super small not big enough for 2 ppl, bathroom had sink issues,wifi was weak, 1 accessible power outlets ,couldn’t find pool that was listed, basically what’s was advertised online looked totally different ….. if you wanna just party and sleep and get up and go then it would be good for you (1 person)

My stay was a last minute book and only stayed for a few hours before my flight out of PR. The employee that helped me was super nice and I can’t complain. Everything I needed was close by. Perfect if you don’t have a car, parking is a nightmare in that area

TV did not work. Mold in shower. AC unit leaked onto floor. Toaster set off smoke alarm. Area was directly on busy street with loud noise all night. Streets are not well lit with run down buildings around. And our room was on 3rd floor with no elevator, so had to carry luggage up stairs with my bad back.
