Tout était super, les deux repas du soir en 7 couverts étaient fabuleux et différents à chaque fois. Le petit déjeuner aussi était très copieux. La chambre est très confortable. Nous avons pu bénéficier de plus de 5h dans les 3 différents onsen de l'hôtel. La gentillesse, la bienveillance et la disponibilité du personnel sont remarquables ! Un des meilleurs hôtels de ma vie.

Poor sleeping conditions. We have to have the Japanese style sleeping on the floor, but we got two not comfortable different beds and mattres. No declared Japanese style experience for very big money.

The property was beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed this property and will most certainly return. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

Le onsen privé est top. La chambre est super et nous avons tous reçu des kimonos pour aller manger. C'était une super expérience. C'était l'anniversaire de mon mari et ils avaient décoré la chambre et préparé un dessert spécial à cette occasion.

Der Onsen war genauso wie auf dem Bild dargestellt. Die Onsen waren tatsächlich privat, und man konnte sie so oft nutzen, wie man wollte.

Onsen situé dans un quartier calme au coeur de la nature. L'accueil est soigné, la chambre propre et conforme à la description. Le repas est excellent, nous recommandons cette adresse.

We stayed one night but would have stayed longer. Hotel: Overall it is a serene space and lovely experience. The staff are very kind, friendly and accommodating. They ensured our family had delicious food as vegetarians and that we had an opportunity to use the onsen twice during our short stay. The room as well cared for and spacious as were the rest of the facility. A fun touch was the games to borrow, our family ended up playing and old Brazilian version of Monopoly which was a blast. Onsen: The 2 different onsen rooms we utilized were both well maintained, clean, private, and lovely. Each had plenty of space with showers and one had both an indoor and outdoor onsen. 2 of our family are heavily tattooed and it was no problem for us to soak, which was not the case at the other onsen hotel we visited. Customer service: Our youngest left behind a small sentimental souvenir and the hotel worked with us to get to get it mailed internationally. The staff was very communicative leading up to our stay as well. Thank you very much.

Die Onsen Anlage war schön und das Essen war wirklich toll!!

The location is great.

We booked a room a few days in advance, and when we got there, we were shown to our room and told the AC had broken in that specific room. They put fans in the room for us but it was still extremely hot. We had to book another hotel, which was difficult being that it was about 6 PM. They did provide a full refund which was appreciated, but had we been told about the broken AC earlier (prior to our check in), we could have saved some time and money finding a new spot.

The Ajisai Onsen Ryokan was a very beautiful and private stay for our family! This boutique hotel is offering a special and complete experience to his customers, from the private onsens (both inside and outside) to the 7 course set dinner that is truly remarkable. The traditional breakfast is roch and interesting, and they also provide continental breakfast for the classic taste. The 3 onsens can be booked 3 times a day and whenever they are available. The robes provided are very comfortable and the toiletries are all very good quality and diverse. I would suggest a minimum stay of 2 nights and as many sessions of onsen as possible so that you can really wind down. The room was decorated traditionally, the futon and pillows were very comfortable, and the staff is so nice! The whole experience has been really relaxing after a busy week in Tokyo. The ryokan is located in Gora, a small town, and is 700m from Gora station (we walked) where you can take the cable car to the top and make the loop journey to lake Ashi.

All of the ladies on staff were wonderful. They were so sweet, and always helpful. Being able to reserve a private bath 3 times a day for our family was wonderful, and they have 3 different ones to choose from. The food was tasty and presented beautifully. We could choose from traditional or western. We went the traditional route. The facility was very clean!

- The onsen are okay. Nothing special, just standard onsen facilities. - The rooms are a decent size.

* The staff, most non Japanese, seemed indifferent and provided very little hospitality. The level of service fell far short of the traditional Japanese hospitality I expected from a ryokan. * The property has no real garden, no notable view, and appears to be in need of maintenance and a fresh coat of paint. It can also be quite noisy. * The room description on Booking.com stated that the room included a private bathroom. It did not. Guests are required to use the onsen facilities instead. Private baths can be reserved for 50 minutes, but availability is limited. During my stay, the water was cold when I arrived, and I had to ask the staff to turn on the water heater. * The room description also mentioned “garden views.” In reality, the room overlooked a few trees next to the road rather than an actual garden, which was disappointing and not what I expected from the description. * The rooms are not fully prepared in the traditional ryokan style. Guests are expected to set up their own futons, and there is no turndown service. This is not the usual ryokan experience, especially at this price point. * The food was very basic and poor value for money. Similar dishes can be found elsewhere in the area for roughly half the price and of better quality. * The property was surprisingly difficult to find, even with GPS. Overall: a huge disappointment. I would not return and cannot recommend it. There are plenty of better places to stay in and around Hakone for the same price.

A wonderful ryokan experience in every sense. The room was beautiful, and the private onsen booking system worked smoothly — just a relaxing soak without strangers around. The food was the real highlight: kaiseki dinners and breakfasts featuring wagyu beef that were genuinely memorable. The location is quiet and peaceful, about 15 minutes' walk from Gora Station — far enough to feel secluded, close enough to be practical. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic, high-quality ryokan stay in Hakone.

Great little onsen in Hakone. This is a private onsen so you get the hot spring to yourself. Upon checkin you can book 2 slots for the the evening and 1 slot for the next morning, each slot is around 50 minutes. The rooms were neat and clean , beds were comfortable. I slept on tatami mat and futon and it was very comfortable. We booked the dinner and breakfast which were both wonderful. Very relaxed meal experience.

Location is a bit far from the Gora station, takes around 20 minutes. Would recommend that you bring minimum amount of luggage since this is a bit of a problem. Did not get the Japanese style that we booked which was a little disappointing. The western rooms are a combination of tatami mats area and beds. Expensive but I think all the Ryokans in the area are in a similar range.

The ryokan was incredible and the staff so friendly and welcoming. It was perfect. We were there with our children. Dinner was so tasty and the onsen a wonderful experience.

Nothing at all.

The traditional Keiseki dinner was pretty good, not all of it, but most of it. The outdoor onsen was beautiful, but not worth the money spent, seeing as you could only spend minimal time in water.

No shower or bath in room. Bed not comfortable. Pillows horrible. No interaction at all with other people. Staff were not friendly. Not mean or rude, just literally there to check you in. No smiles or welcoming feeling from them. Room was old and nothing to it.

C’est un petit établissement traditionnel niché dans la montagne. Il est propre, nous avions pris la grande chambre, elle était très spacieuse, très bien équipée, nous avons beaucoup galéré pour régler la climatisation car il n’y a aucune explication sur les télécommandes qui sont en japonais japonais. Nous avons dû faire appel au personnel 😅😅 La décoration est très classique, c’est pour ça que nous étions venus aussi. Nous avions une formule avec dîner et petit déjeuner compris. C’est délicat, raffiné, réel effort sur la présentation ces gouttes. Les produits sont bons et là vous allez de la vraie cuisine, japonaise traditionnel. Pour ce qui est des bains chauds, nous avons particulièrement apprécié le fait qu’ils soient privatisables. La partie extérieure était très agréable. Je vous recommande même s’il fait froid. La partie intérieure aurait peut-être besoin est très fonctionnelle, d’une décoration plus sobre et classique. Pas spécialement glamour mais très fonctionnelle.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff were absolutely lovely and always did everything they could to make us as happy and comfortable as possible during our stay. The food was great and the Onsen was so relaxing and a really special experience.

The staff were amazing and very attentive. The traditional meal in the evening and the private onsen was lovely. We were able to book times for this with no problem, although it was abit of a walk to get there it was in a lovely quiet location.

It would be good if there was an area to go to if you didn't want to be in your room all the time.

It was beautiful and secluded so felt like a nice get away from the city. The outdoor onsen was amazing.

We had a little bit of a walk off the beaten trail to find the place but that was part of the charm.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits à Ajisai Onsen Ryokan (2 adultes et 2 enfants) . Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir tester les 3 onsens. Un en intérieur avec sauna, un mixte (un bain intérieur et un extérieur) et en fin un 100% extérieur. Les bains extérieurs sont magnifiques avec les pierres qui les entourent et l'eau est à une temperature très agréable. Un grand moment de détente, surtout après une journée de visite. Nous avons opté pour le kaiseki pour le dîner: un enchaînement de spécialités japonaises. Nous avons découvert tellement de saveurs, tout était délicieux. Le petit déjeuner japonais était aussi à la hauteur et très copieux. (Nous étions un peu gêné de ne pas avoir pu terminer) Le personnel a été très accueillant et très agréable. Le ryokan se situe à une dizaine de minutes de marche de la gare. Les instructions pour nous y rendre nous sont envoyées à l'avance par le ryokan. Le cadre est magnifique et contraste avec les grands hôtels que nous croisons sur la route. Ici, pas de grand building mais un ryokan traditionnel arboré. C'est tout ce que nous recherchions. En bref, nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Ajisai Onsen Ryokan.

Magnifique hôtel proche de la nature a Hakone. Les onsens privatifs sont très agréables et apportent un vrai plus. Le dîner est excellent !

Le lieu est un peu isolé dans les montagnes, ce qui donne de l’authenticité au à l’établissement. Le personnel est adorable. Le dîner est vraiment délicieux et copieux et le petit déjeuner traditionnel est vraiment à tester. Le sien est très bien. Choisir celui avec accès à l’extérieur.

Les deux Osen n’ont pas d’accès à l’extérieur. Donc il faut faire attention lors de la réservation.

The meals were very traditional and hearty, so difficult to finish. We shared the meal between two people and that was enough.

Le personnel est exceptionnel, très attentif, professionnel et serviable. Surtout, les employés sont gentils et chaleureux. Il y a eu pleins d’attentions supplémentaires car c’était notre lune de miel. Très gentil de leur part. Mention spéciale pour les Onsen qu’on privatise pour 50 min, c’est les meilleurs que nous avons fait lors de notre séjour au Japon. 2 choix de petits déjeuner et dîner très qualitatifs. On a beaucoup aimé.

This was a very quaint, clean, quiet and beautiful onsen. There were 3 different private bath onsens that you could choose to use during your stay for 50 block periods. The pools were large enough for 4 average sized Americans to stretch out comfortably!

Experiencia fantástica. La ubicación es estupenda, suficientemente cerca de lo que queríamos visitar y suficientemente alejada para disfrutar de la tranquilidad y el entorno. Las instalaciones estan muy bien y sobre todo el personal muy amable y atento. La comida espectacular y poder disfrutar de un onsen privado fue una de las mejores experiencias de nuestro viaje.

Todo! el personal, los detalles que tuvieron con nosotras, la cena, el desayuno, de 10. Pudimos reservar el onsen dos veces y los dos que había. La habitación super limpia y super cómoda.

Reservamos habitación de estilo japonés con 4 futones, pero nos pusieron en una habitación con dos camas y dos futones; nos cambiaron de habitación sin decirnos nada, cosa que me pareció rara, pero se estaba genial y no nos quejamos.

Bookable private onsens, the seven course dinner was definitely a highlight. The breakfast was excellent too. Fantastic and helpful staff.

The lack of shower in the room was unusual. Showers are to be taken at one of the onsens. A bit out of the way but taxi from the Gora station was available via the Uber app.

Ajisai provided a truly authentic onsen experience. The staff were very hospitable, proactively offering anything they can do to make our stay more comfortable such as more appointments at the onsen. The breakfast and multi course dinner was wonderful. It was so engaging even our two and five year old stayed for almost the whole 90 minute experience. Finally, when we left a few items at the onsen, they happily mailed it to us in Tokyo. Thank you so much!

Das Personal war super freundlich. Wir haben das private Onsen mehr als einmal täglich benutzt. Das Frühstück ist super, man kann zwischen japanischem und europäischem wählen. Zu empfehlen ist das Kaiseki Menü. Liebevoll zubereitet. Un Das Koffer versenden ins nächste Hotel hat super geklappt. Nur mit einem kleinen Koffer den Berg hoch war hilfreich. Besser noch: Von Gora Station mit dem Cablecar zu Koen Kami Station, da geht es nur geradeaus bis zum Ryokan.

Accoglienza e disponibilità davvero fantastica. (Dolcini regalati al check in, regalo regalato al check out, ci hanno chiamato il taxi e aiutato a pianificare il viaggio la mattina presto. Ci hanno offerto cocktail e un onsen privata in più perchè ce ne andavamo molto presto e non potevano fornirci la colazione). Cena fantastica. Dalla mia esperienza di hotel viaggiando per lavoro posso garantire che si dovrebbe pagare almeno il doppio di quanto ci hanno fatto pagare

Waren mit einer großen Gruppe da und wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Hotel ist sehr familienfreundlich, es gibt Kisten voll mit Spielzeug für die Kleinen. Auch das Essen war sehr gut. Das Highlight war das Außenosen!
