The fact that you get charged R150 per night to use the aircon, no where mention until enquired, when it was extremely cold, the rooms a very cold with wind coming under door, sliding door does not close properly. Breakfast served with plastic wrap, needed to be warmed up

Overall the place was functional for one night. I would not stay longer. I liked the surroundings. It was peaceful and tranquil.

Breakfast was small and not real orange juice. It did not compare to equivalent B&B's we stayed at in the past. Service slow-ish. Parking in front of unit was taken by next-door resident.

Clean and comfortable

Its a beautiful place just outside the heart of Paarl on a wine farm. Absolutely beautiful. I have stayed there twice in the passed year traveling for work. Will definitely be back!

I wish there was a heater or electric blanket. Paarl is very cold

We stayed there in the winter the floors was very cold to walk on after a shower and there were no electric blankets it was very cold to get in bed

Booked through booking .com but the booking was not reserved an therefore uncomfortable reception. The number sent for the gate did not work and it was frustrating. My friends I came with could get in via their number. There was a blanket that should be discarded.

Lack of view, drain smell at room entrance, smart TV not able to connect to the wifi, location is not as central but great if you are only travelling away from main highway.

The location was peaceful on the farm...my Yorkie enjoyed the grass everywhere...

Room smelled really bad, when we asked the lady to come clean she just sprayed mosquito spray. The body of water in front is terrible with bugs and mosquitoes. Staff are shocking at front desk, very unhelpful and just spent all their time eating. Overall terrible and didn’t spend the night

There is a pretty view of the farm dam but the mosquitoes are relentless at night. One has to keep the only window open due to the heat (and no aircon) with the result that the mosquitoes attack en masse.

Entry into the property at the main gate was a mission impossible, even after I had to query why the number at the main gate to phone for entry does not work. Despite making a polite enquiry and was assured there would not be difficulty gaining access again, it was again difficult and we had to wait for some time before someone answered a different number and reluctantly opened the gate for us.

The gate intercoms werent working and the setup of needing to call a number to open the gate whenever you arrive is a bit of a process.

Breakfast Was very good. Love the location as well.

Nothing - Room was stinky, floor was sticky and dirty and the braai in the room kept making noise during the night. It was very cold and only one small wram blanket on the bed with the duvet- towels are very small and did not smell nice and clean. Breakfast was not good.

Almost everything - the people were very lovely but the cleanliness and the comfortability fell over and the food as well and this made the stay not great.

The location is great

It felt more like hostel accommodation than a regular B&B. Not sure that I liked the breakfast being served in the room.

The property should seriously consider allocating the parking spots next to the respective rooms to the guests in the rooms. There was a function when we returned to our accommodation, and another car was parked on the spot next to our room. We tried to inform the owners, but they claimed that parking spots were not allocated to rooms (even if the parking is directly next to your room) because it is a farm (this makes no sense). We ended up having to park our vehicle in the road as there was no other parking available - leaving it vulnerable to possible damage caused by other cars passing up and down the road.

Rooms are so beautiful (the pictures don’t do them much justice) and come equipped with more than one fan which is perfect for the Paarl heat. You can really tell that the hosts put in that extra touch to make the guests happy. It’s all in the finer details. The hosts are super friendly and the breakfast and staff were amazing! I’m definitely going back soon for a longer trip.

Everything was perfect!

I booked very late in the afternoon and arrived to a confused attendant via the phone number provided on site. But she was very good at sorting out her unexpected arrival. The security system in place, is good. The breakfast brought on time to the room was very good, a wide variety and perfect.

Nothing to dislike but be aware that it takes a while when arriving for the security gates to let you in, as well as out. Be patient. It's good to know that for safety and security reasons, the gate is monitored for authorised visitors.

The friendliness of the staff and the entire check in process and the rooms were absolutely perfect and exceeded what I had been expecting... my only regret is not knowing about this guesthouse earlier.

I decided not to make use of the breakfast option that was included due to early morning starts and the fact that the unit was fully equipped to prepare and cook meals.

More sign boards to the breakfast hall and also to the office and all places you must go to then internet to the TV with channels you can enjoy like netflix of showmax I had to use my phone to use the TV internet

NOTHING!!!

Horrible place!!! We got to Middleplaas Guest house at 7:30pm. Upon checking in we were greeted by an absolutely unfriendly staff member who had just woken up and was clearly unhappy that she had to assist us! The reception area was completely unkept, untidy and not welcoming at all!! I had to put down my details on a blank A4 sheet of paper while looking at some other persons details for information they required for us to check in. This information stipulated breakfast was served from 8am, I enquired about breakfast times because on Booking.com they have indicated that breakfast is served from 5:30am, and we were checking out at 6:30am as we were traveling back home. The lady advised that they will NOT be serving breakfast because they don't have any other guests staying over so there will be NO breakfast served! I was in absolute shock and so was my partner who actually told me we are not going to stay here with this attitude, I had to calm him down because looking for pet friendly place in that area was not going to be difficult at the last minute. So we were basically out of options. I then asked her why was it advertised as including breakfast on Booking.com if no breakfast is served? She called her boss, who told her to let us know That Breakfast will ONLY be served at 7am and that's the ONLY time. We accepted and was then escorted to our room. The room was below average. Absolutely Nothing amazing about this place for the price. We didn't get much sleep at all because we thought the place was going to be blown away! I understand that wind is a natural element of nature but the walls was so thin that we could hear the people staying next door! Not to mention whatever is living inside the roof that kept running around and kept us awake even more. We brought our kitten along for our stay and even he was stressed out with the noises and scratching coming from the roof.

Beautiful views and it was so calm staying there. Breakfast was good. The owner was so friendly and informative with things to do around the area.

We were promised the bonus of a fireplace. There was as a braai in room but not for use They had removed the carpet because had a dog and oom was freezing cold. Fortunately they gave us a gas heater when we asked

Road under construction

The room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The reception staff member was welcoming and accommodating.

The rooms are all built next to one another. The walls are not sound proof. So one could hear people talking loudly and TVs playing. I couldn't find a plug for the kitchen Zinc.

With the breakfast they can at least serve filter coffee and not instant coffee

The King size bed was very comfortable.

Entering the breakfast location no person or list at the door, indicating where to sit, personnel just ignore you and continue with there tasks. The breakfast was not up to standard. We requested only that the fried egg be replace with a scrambled egg , and it was very clearly indicated that they only serve fried eggs take it or leave it. There was not even filter coffee provided. In the shower was placed a dirty floor cleaning mop, not acceptable.
