Reviewed Apr 27, 2026Such an exceptional property in every way! First of all Tatjana is an absolute joy with such attention to detail as well as amazing to talk with. She greeted us with her fine wines and made us feel immediately at home. The space was really high quality with great sheet thread count, high quality towels and bathrobes, and top notch bathroom amenities. Her breakfast was the best we’ve had in 13 weeks on the road. Kudos to the oasis you’ve created Tatjana!

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026Het zwembad beviel het meeste en het ontbijt was erg goed. De kamers zijn prima met alle noodzakelijke spullen. Vrij wit en zakelijk ingericht. Het zijn wat meer zakenmensen dan horeca mensen, de eigenaren. Bij andere guesthouses wordt je meer verwelkomt als gast, wat zich uit in kleine extraatjes zoals een koekje bij de koffiemachine, of chocolaatje op je bed. Dat is hier niet. Bij de poort is geen intercom en geen bel. Wij konden bij aankomst niet bellen en dan sta je dus voor een dichte deur. Het ligt vrij afgelegen aan een landweg met verder niets om je heen. Na een half uur kwam bij toeval iemand voorbij die voor ons belde dat wij er stonden. Het initiatief ligt daarbij teveel bij de gasten, er kan altijd iets gebeuren dat je niet kunt bellen en dat was niet fijn.
Het gebrek aan contact bij de poort. De gastvrouw is vrij direct tegen haar personeel. Het wat minder vriendelijk aanspreken van het personeel waar wij bijzaten, voelde voor ons wat ongemakkelijk.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026Der freundliche Empfang - auch bereits vor Anreise. Das Anwesen insgesamt ist schön und liegt im Grünen. Die Restaurant-Tipps des Hausherren waren gut. Insbesondere das NOOP in Paarl hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist ein Besuch in Babylonstoren. Dort kann man hervorragend frühstücken und im Park spazieren gehen. Zudem gibt es diverse Tiere.
Wir sind als Familie angereist (2 Erwachsene und 1 Kind) und haben in den umgebaute Stallungen mit eigenem Pool gewohnt. Gebucht hatten wir die Unterkunft aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen. Die Rezessionen hatten wir nicht gründlich genug gelesen. Daher wussten wir nicht, dass auf der Farm mehrere Hunde frei herumlaufen. Die Hunde sind zwar sehr gut erzogen, dennoch mochten wir nicht gerne frei auf der Farm herumlaufen. Es gab sehr, sehr viele Mücken. Wir nutzen vor dem Schlafengehen das bereitgestellte Raum-Spray und fühlten uns am nächsten Tag unwohl. Lieber nicht vor dem Schlafengehen benutzen! Unwohl fühlten wir uns auch in der Nacht, als um 3.17 Uhr einer der Wachhunde "anschlug" und wir Geräusche hörten. Die umgebauten Stallungen verfügen nur über sehr einfache Holztüren. Der Pool wirkte nicht besonders sauber. Im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften ist diese Anlage sehr teuer. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist ungünstig. Auf das (aus unserer Sicht überteuerte) Frühstück haben wir verzichtet.

Reviewed Feb 22, 2026Ruhige Unterkunft in wahnsinnig schöner Lage. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und hochwertig ausgestattet. Unbedingt mit Frühstück buchen, auch dieses war hervorragend. Wir würden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen!
Das einzig kleine Manko war, dass sich die Türe zur Toilette und zum Badezimmer nicht ordentlich schließen ließ. Aber darüber kann man hinwegsehen, da sonst alles super war.

Nothing to complain about. Just to let you know, the room is right next to another one and Temple Wines has a few big dogs on site, though they are really friendly.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026Our stay at Tempel Wines was nothing short of magical, and our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The views are breathtaking and the staff are wonderful, but a true highlight was meeting their five dogs - mostly Ridgebacks, which are such beautiful, majestic animals. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring fresh local produce and the most delicious fresh-squeezed orange juice. We especially enjoyed our time chatting with the owner, Tom; he is such an inspirational person who truly makes the experience special. We thought taxis might be an issue due to the location but uber worked just fine, we only had a long wait for an uber once. We cannot recommend this beautiful farm enough!
We should have stayed longer.

Reviewed Nov 6, 2025Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön in der Natur, von hohen Bäumen umgeben, man erreicht von dort viele gute Vinyards wie Bacco Estate oder Fairview, sehr schöner Pool mit Weitblick und ein schöner Garten, das Frühstück war klasse
Uber fährt nur sehr unzuverlässig in der Gegend, Achtung also wenn man die Weinproben nutzen will - man braucht für alles ein Auto, die Kissen sind leider etwas hart, aber naja halb so wild Und: ich selbst mag Hunde sehr aber es leben sechs große Hunde auf dem Grundstück - man muss es also mögen, die Tiere sind aber sehr lieb und brav, zudem schaffen sie Sicherheit. Also kein Problem :)

Angefangen von der hilfsbereiten und herzlichen Chefin Tatjana, die uns aufgrund eines Missverständnisses bei der Buchung ein kostenloses Upgrade auf zwei Zimmer anstatt einem zukommen ließ, die tolle Location inmitten der Weinberge, die freundlichen und dennoch wachsamen, frei laufenden Hunde, bis hin zu den überaus freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Bediensteten, haben unseren Aufenthalt zu einem persönlichen und tollen Erlebnis gemacht. Danke allen für eine tolle Zeit, wir kommen gerne wieder!

We were well taken care of and were warmly greeted by at least 5 of her beautiful lovely dogs. Kleiner Minuspunkt: es gab keinen richtigen Schrank oder Kommode für Kleidung im Zimmer. Für 3 Übernachtungen war das ok, aber bei längerem Aufenthalt ist das ein wenig störend

The room was very small , and not very private as the room next door is very close and shares the same veranda and pool

Reviewed Apr 13, 2025Lieu subjuguant dans les vignes. Guesthouse avec des hôtes adorables aux petits soins. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la jolie piscine à débordement, les vins du vignoble et le petit déjeuner vraiment exceptionnel! Les restaurants conseillés étaient sublimes, nous avons passé un excellent séjour!

Reviewed Mar 23, 2025Un des petits déjeuner les plus chers de tout notre séjour, certes de qualité mais un choix qui n'est pas au niveau du montant facturé. Nous n'avons pas du tout apprécié la façon dont le staff est traité par la propriétaire.
