3階？の部屋までは、Wifiが届かなかったです。共用のキッチンエリアはWifi繋がりました。夜はコンクリートの部屋が冷え込み、太陽が入らなくて少し寒く感じました。

Reviewed Nov 25, 2025The dorm is quite big with 2 hangers and two lockers per person. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Breakfast (basic continental) is included. The terrace is very nice. Close to the bus stop and artisans market.
The female dorm is just in front of the bathrooms so you can hear all the noise and the doors do not close well so it's quite noisy at night and early morning. The common room is too small to accommodate all the guests for breakfast.

Reviewed Nov 20, 2025I arrived at 6 am with so much cold and wind in that city, they let me put my backpack in the locker and told me to leave and return until 1 pm to check in, they didnt allow me at the common area, so O was at the cold streets waiting, I returned at 1 pm, now they told me no, return at 3 pm, but you can wait at the common are? so why now? and not when it was 6 am? their rules are so stupid, plues the noice all noght long from rude people comong from parties are awful they didnt told them to be quiet

My experience at *La Catrina Hostel* in San Miguel de Allende was **extremely disappointing**, honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had in any accommodation. Right from arrival, I noticed the place was **poorly maintained and full of mosquitoes**, both in the room and in the common areas. It was impossible to rest without getting bitten. For a place that hosts travelers daily, the minimum would be to keep it clean and comfortable, which is clearly not the case here. The **Wi-Fi simply doesn’t work inside the rooms**, which is unacceptable nowadays. I had to go to the common area every time I needed to use the internet, which was very inconvenient, especially at night when the area was full of mosquitoes. I tried to ask the reception for some basic information, like transport tips, schedules, or even details about the hostel itself, but the staff seemed **completely unprepared and uninterested** in helping. It felt like I was bothering them just by asking simple questions. The worst part happened on **checkout day**. I was about 20 minutes late to leave, and the man at the reception came to me in an **extremely rude and aggressive way**. He raised his voice, spoke disrespectfully, and even **threatened me physically**, as if he was about to attack. It was a very uncomfortable and frightening situation, especially because I was traveling alone and never expected such behavior from someone working in hospitality. I honestly just wanted to leave as fast as possible after that. In short, *La Catrina* is a **disorganized, poorly managed hostel with bad infrastructure and hostile service**. I strongly do **not recommend** staying here — there are plenty of other hostels in San Miguel de Allende that surely treat their guests with the respect, comfort, and safety every traveler deserves. ```

Mais nous avons vu que d'autres chambres n'avaient pas de fenêtre et donnaient sur un couloir intérieur. Si une telle chambre nous avait été attribuée, on aurait pas du tout aimé !

讓客人自己鋪床單 沒提供洗髮精、沐浴乳 打掃時會用漂白水消毒，但氯氣的味道有點重，可能放太多了，下午若回旅店，無法久待，因為吸多了氯氣，對肺不好

Le petit déjeuner est succinct... mais il l'annonce et le justifie par son prix compétitif par nuit. Notre chambre donnait sur l'espace commun, donc un peu bouillante.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2025Muy buen hostel. La ubucacion es a 10 min caminando de la plaza principal y al lado del mercado de artesanías. Muy limpio, camas super cómodas. Cuenta con una cocina equipada para usar y sirven un desayuno muy correcto a modo de cortesía. Todo el personal muy ambales
Lo único que no nos gustó es que desde nuestra habitación se escucha mucho el ruido exterior del hostel, por lo que si hay otras personas ruidosas como en nuestro caso se escuchaba todo

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025Bed is very comfortable, kitchen is good and they have a very nice terrace.
4 very important things (and 1 not so important): Absolutely overpriced for what it is. Beds should have curtains or something like that. You can't smoke in the terrace, like wtf? And they close it at night. Absolutely no sense. Basically there is no wifi. It works 20min per day. And there is no area where you can sit and relax or talk, only the dining area but its not welcoming for chilling.

It’s’ an excellent choice for any low budget traveler…just a few walking minutes to El Jardin Allende in the city center, very friendly staff, good continental breakfast, a quiet and very clean place. Special thanks to Alexis at the reception. He is an amazing friendly and helpful person. I’ll definitely stay at La Catrina Hostel again the next time I’m in San Miguel de Allende!
