Some lights did not work (middle one between beds —bulb probably blown — and reading lights on one bed were unplugged, so we fixed that one). Television said “no signal” because cable box was unplugged, but we figured that out after checking wires and going behind dresser. Just little things were annoying and should have been checked before housekeeping staff left the room after cleaning. Otherwise we picked a good spot to rest for the night before exploring the area some more and then heading home!

Champlain Motor Inn was so much more than I expected for my stay in Pembroke. I grew up in the area and was just back for a visit, so I honestly wasn’t thinking too much about accommodations when I booked. I really only wanted a kitchenette and enough space to comfortably move around for the week. The CMI kitchenette was such a great bonus and having a fridge, microwave, stove and even a rice cooker made it easy to keep food on hand and prepare meals instead of having to eat out all the time. Also the air conditioning was perfect in the summer heat. It was well set up, practical, and gave the room more of a little home-away-from-home feel than a typical motel room. One of the best parts though was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always waving hello when I saw them, but I never felt like they were intruding on my space. They were always available if I needed to check in with them. It exceeded my expectations, and I’d happily stay here again the next time I’m back in Pembroke. 10/10

Staff are an incredibly friendly and wonderful young couple who really strive to make you feel welcome. The room was spotless and clearly has been renovated recently.

The reading light above the headboard did not work, nor did the outlets or USB port on the center panel. Minor complaints mind you, there were 2 other functional outlets for charging devices etc.

As someone with allergies i loved that theres no carpet in the rooms! Keep having the rooms dust free!

Bathroom renovation couldve been a little nicer, theres paint drops on the floor and the grout between the tiles couldve been renewed or cleaned properly where mold can start building.

Staff...upon checking in...I was surrounded by "people" all jammering away in their language even though I was standing there trying to check in. In AM sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and a coffee, my silence was interrupted by some god awful music, I thought it was coming from a neighborhood business...I walked towards the sound....but no a permanent resident was playing his tunes. I said nothing and shrugged it off. Then he started shouting, screaming profanites at a neighbor. I walked to office to alert them...buzzed, but no one came. An hour later when I was getting ready to check out I finally saw some one who worked there and explained the scenario and that he had a problem. I left it at that. I did notice he did walk over...what happened, I have no clue. Nor care. Place is run down, lacks upgrades they promote...rooms shabby, old furniture, garbage around the office like old mattresses, old fridges and just plain junk. Not a great selling feature.

Arrivé sur les lieux, on me dit qu'ils ne peuvent m'offrir la chambre réservé, toilette en mauvais état. Monsieur a pris le paiement prévu puis me transfert dans un autre motel suite à une entente faite avec le nouvel endroit. Merci de ce service. Là où le bas blesse, j'ai dû défrayer de nouveau des frais pour la chambre mais pas au même tarif... 150$. Je me retrouve donc à payer deux fois et demie la réservation faite. Plutôt désolant... Bon service aux deux endroits mais... pour le coût...

The staff/owners were fantastic. I'm assuming it was the husband who was continually taking proper care of the facilities through a snow and ice storm. His dedication to patron safety was very impressive. He consciously went out of his way to inform me which stairs were safest to use. I've used their facility three times in the past 5 months. All three times were to visit my ailing father. When I told the lady this she upgraded me to a nicer room at no extra cost. I thought this was very compassionate in today's day and age. I would recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a low cost, clean, conveniently located place to stay the night.

Nicely renovated motel, within walking distance to restaurants.

Hard to regulate the temperature in the room. The gentleman at the office was asking for a code through the intercom. Not sure what he was looking for, but he eventually came to the door.

Had a wonderful time

Very nice people managing motel. Very clean spacious room and comfortable beds. Very clean bathroom. Great location close to Petawawa Terrace Provincial Park with beautiful pine trees and nice frogs. Close to Island view drive where you can watch sunset over Ottawa River. I will be back for sure.

This motel is very nicely renovated and the family that runs. It are fantastic to deal with. I will continue to stay here whenever I find myself in Pembroke on business..

For a budget motel, it’s pretty good, and from what I hear from the locals, it’s the best budget motel in the area. The walls in my room were pretty thin, I could hear muffled conversations of the couple staying next-door, and there were a few minor repairs needed in the room. A portion of the wall next to the tub needs to be repaired and there’s a few minor, aesthetic concerns, but besides that, it’s an OK place. My room had an actual full-size fridge in it, which isn’t something you see a lot in budget motels. And the beds were comfortable. I got a good night sleep. And I guess in the end, that’s all that matters.

Très interessant comme option d'hébergement. Ce Motor Inn a été rénové et tout est propre et fonctionnel. Frigo, cafétière, micro ondes, planche à repasser mais pas de fer. Il est très bien entretenu.

Very nice and newly renovated. The only thing is when you went to sit on the toilet it wasn't bolted in and would wobble .Everything else was nice and clean and you were close to mostly everything.

The motel is very well kept. Our room was clean, and offered everything we needed. The staff was also very helpful and made sure we were comfortable. It was a pleasant stay and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again. Excellent accommodation for the price.

Champlain Motor Inn is a very nicely renovated motel. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again on my next visit to Pembroke.

I have stayed twice in this hotel this year, both for business trip. Without being extra luxurious, it really does the trick, is comfortable and clean. I travel a lot for work and it is one of the hotels you love on the road, short and sweet to check in, still has a decent price in this economy, has what you need, etc. Will book there again if I come to pembrooke in the future or recommend to friends and coworkers.

We were upset. When we check-in, the hotel receptionist told us that he gave us discount and cheaper price. But I told him that’s my credit card already been charge more larger amount, so I asked him to do the refund for the discount he gave us. Then he said that Expedia (he mention Expedia, not Hotel.com) that have to refund the money, not him. And next time, he said, I have to book directly to this hotel if I want to get cheaper price. After that, my 2 friends complaint and asked me to contact Hotel.com to refund their money. What should I do now? Could you refund the discount price of the money?
