We really enjoyed our stay at Harrogate House Inn at Niagara on the Lake. The room was great. The bed was great. The shower was great. The food was great. All the things you want in a B&B. Hosts Elizabeth and Kent were super helpful and a super source of info on what to see and do and where to grab a good meal (the pub down the block is a fantastic choice). Kent went the extra mile to dig up a compressor to fill low tires on our rental car…a life saver. And the location! Right around the block to the centre of town and all its lovely shops and a short 10 min walk to the beach. Put this one on your list of places to stay!
Perfect location to Queen Street and wineries. Great balcony. Great hosts and breakfast. Made accommodations for my wife who has celiac.
Nothing
Kent is quite the chef! Breakfasts were wonderful and complete with impressive presentation. We loved everything! Made great use of the balcony. Very clean, inviting room with a comfortable bed. Good location. Top notch host and hostess, Kent and Elizabeth.
Nothing.
Accueil chaleureux et personnalisé.
Close to town and theater. Wonderful breakfast. Friendly hosts.
Breakfast each morning was very good....especially the hard eggs that I requested:)
We liked everything ..
Perfect location. Delicious breakfasts. Wonderful staff.
Breakfast was excellent and location was grear.
This is a beautiful guest house in the centre of the gorgeous Niagara on the Lake. The location is amazing, just one block off the Main Street and very easy access to all the shops, bars and restaurants in the Niagara on the Lake. We also used it as a great base to explore the Niagara Falls and the surrounding wine region. The guest house itself is beautiful. The building is very quaint and the rooms are spacious, well equipped and comfortable with pleasant decor. We really loved the personability from our two hosts. They concocted a beautiful breakfast each morning and were very friendly and had useful tips about the nearby town. We also found that they were very generous with additional ice, glass wear and coffee. We came here primarily to see Niagara Falls but I would totally recommend staying in Harrogate House in Niagara on the Lake as it is much more beautiful than the town of Niagara itself. We’d love to come back and would strongly recommend this to anyone travelling here.
There was absolutely nothing I could fault.
Walking distance to everything.
Nothing
Very central to shops and restaurants, the room was very quiet
I loved it all, very beautiful establishment
Cozy, comfy & within short walk to eateries, shopping & walkway along the water.
Nothing at all.
The breakfasts were outstanding and the location made it easy to walk to many local attractions.
There was nothing at this inn that I did not like
Alles! Schönes Zimmer mit Balkon. Gepflegtes sauberes Haus. Elisabeth und Ken sind entzückende Gastgeber. Kein Wunsch bleibt offen. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen fußläufig in der Nähe. Niagara on the lake ist immer eine Reise wert! Wir kommen gerne wieder! Danke für die schönen Tage!
A thoroughly pleasant and comfortable stay in all respects
The location was Perfect, the breakfasts were exceptionally delicious!!
NA
Breakfast was fantastic and the hosts are wonderful
Location was very convenient and the breakfast was excellent. The owners were very engaging and super nice.
Nothing comes to mind.
Breakfasts were delicious. Bed was very comfy. Liked the private entrance to our room.
Liked everything about the place.
We loved everything. The best part of the entire stay was the hosts Kent and Elisabeth. They were the most gracious hosts you could meet. They were friendly and attentive. They really made sure that we were having a good experience. The breakfast each morning was outstanding. The first morning, breakfast started with coffee and a freshly baked croissant. It was served with jams from a local vendor. We then were served eggs benedict. It was so good. I had it made with Canadian bacon, and my wife had it with mushrooms. Both were the best we have ever had. The next morning, we started with the croissant again. It was a no-brainer. You will understand after you have your first one. After the croissant came, pancakes served with local syrup and a side of bacon. As an aside, you are given. choices each morning as to what you would like to eat. Both Kent and Elisabeth spent a lot of time talking to us while we ate and throughout our stay. It may sound corny, but we felt like we were talking to old friends. Kent filled us in on the history of the Inn and the town of Niagara on the Lake. As for our room, it was really nice. It was clean and inviting. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. It was really cold being the middle of January, but the room was nice and warm, and if you needed it, an extra blanket was there that by itself would have kept any chill away. I can't rave enough about our stay here. We will definitely be booking it again for next year. There was an ice wine festival going on during our stay, which we didn't even know was happening when we booked. That made our weekend even more perfect. If you are looking for a place to book while visiting Niagara on the lake, I can't recommend enough the Harrogate House Inn. You will not be disappointed. Mike and Diana Hamilton- Eden New York
Not a thing (Reread, the above if it didn't seem clear about how we felt staying there).
A very homely perfectly located property to explore Niagara on the Lake. Owners were kind, friendly and gave a very warm welcome.
Appreciate its location, however, it was very expensive. An extra slice of toast for breakfast would have been greatly appreciated.
This is a wonderful small property located right in the centre of Niagara on the Lake. The hosts Kent and Elizabeth were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. The breakfasts were exceptional with the best pancakes we have ever had in a restaurant or inn. There is a nice sitting area and breakfast room which is available to relax and look out on the gardens and the activity on the street. The on-site parking is a great extra as you are able to safely park your car and walk to shopping, restaurants, and both theatres for the Shaw Festival. Located in an historic house so don’t expect a gym or pool it is not that style of accommodation but excels in what is has to offer. Quiet and relaxed. Definitely a must visit again property.
Not one thing.
The room was impeccable and very high end with robes and slippers. The hosts were so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and a wonderful setting.
Amazing ... 5 Star for sure!
We loved our stay at the Harrogate House Inn! The hosts are lovely, our room and the Inn itself was comfortable, stylish, and inviting, and we ended it all with a great breakfast! You can tell that a lot of love and attention is put into all parts of their guests stay. We will definitely be back!
Everything
Breakfast was great and the location was VERY convenient. Our hosts were engaging and convivial. We will book again. The only thing I missed was a pool but that wasn't necessary.
Owners Kent and Elisabeth were so welcoming and friendly. Breakfasts were awesome!
Can't think of anything
Location, food, friendly owners
Stairs to 2nd floor may get harder as we age.
Beautiful bed and breakfast. Close to the Main Street so it was a easy walk to everything. Owners of the B &B were amazing people. They were kind and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. We have made plans to return.
Excellent breakfast- excellent location
Everything. The bed and breakfast was comfortable great location. The breakfast was amazing. The hospitality. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
Despite delays in our flight and car hire, we were warmly met by Elizabeth and Kenton who were the best hosts. The Harrogate House Inn is absolutely lovely: rooms comfortable and marvelous breakfasts. Elizabeth and Kenton gave us lots of local information and even made a booking at a local restaurant for us. The location is also great being close to the 'high street' and within easy walking distance of the lake, etc.
Excellent
The breakfast was delightful!
Everything was perfect.
Owners Kent and Elizabeth are delightful hosts. Kent is a trained chef and breakfasts were superb. Wonderful outside sitting area, if you so choose for breakfast or relaxing during the day. Also, location is perfect for an easy walk to restaurants or downtown area.
If I get a little picky it would be we like having a fridge in our room. However, there was a community fridge available for keeping your wine or other beverages cool.
Perfectly located within Niagara-on-the-Lake, Harrogate House Inn offers the comfort of a professionally-led, yet quiet privately-owned hotel - and much more such as an individual balcony and hassle-free parking. Having stayed for a week we particularly enjoyed the daily changing options of a generous breakfast. Thank you, Elisabeth and Kent, for your warm hospitality.
The house is absolutely gorgeous! Just a short walk from shopping and Lake Ontario. The hosts were friendly and available. The breakfasts were restaurant quality gourmet. We cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend!
Charming inside and out.
3 out of 4 rooms have Balconies. Ours did not.
Everything was wonderful. We can't wait to go back
Wonderful location, very welcoming staff. Good parking, great rooms, second floor balcony was a nice place to spend morning and evening.
Our room was amazing, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was phenomenal not just because it was delicious but because it was included. Location could not have been better, just a block off the main shopping strip.
Nothing, everything as excellent! We needed extra coffee and milk in our room and it was no trouble to go down and ask for it.
The breakfast was outstanding. The food was original, beautifully prepared and served. It was delicious.
I don't think there was a better location in town. The Inn is located a half block from the main street in Niagra on the Lake. Its quaint, quiet and a perfect Inn. The front garden is an oasis, and the building is bright and comfortable.
Amazing breakfast and great location. Thank you
Everything was good
Elisabeth and Kent are so friendly and welcoming, fantastic location! The property and gardens are beautifully maintained and it was a joy sitting outside having the amazing breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable, enjoyed relaxing on the balcony, It was an exceptional stay!
A beautiful house with lots of personality and history, meticulously kept. Perfect loction in enchanting Niagara-on-the-Lake.
It was a bit pricey.
Close to everything downtown, clean.
Nothing everything was great
Very clean. Comfy beds. Nice welcome. Tasty breakfast. Friendly people. Nice surroundings. Restaurants & coffee house very close (next corner).
Nothing to mention
wonderful hosts and an excellent location.
the location was excellent, the staff superb and room very comfortable. The breakfast was really well done. amazing place. we will be back.
nothing
kind and welcoming hosts! beautiful room, delicious breakfast, walking distance to town, great restaurant suggestions. chocolate…
Breakfast was gourmet and tasteful. Hosts were very welcoming and proud of their B&B. It was great place as it was near the niagara on the lake main street and had walking access to most attractions in NOTL.
Not an inconvenience but floor was little squeaky but everything else was great.
Great location. Comfortable beds and cosy guest lounge. Fantastic hosts - so welcoming and helpful
nothing!
Breakfast was delicious! The hosts were incredibly accommodating with my wife's dairy allergy. We had the pancakes. I would really recommend it.
I can't think of anything.
We liked the property for it location and history. it was very well maintained and Kent and Elizabeth who own the property were very welcoming and personable.
Very lovely breakfast. Fresh made baked goods; homemade jams and jellies; Homemade yogurt parfaits. The attentions to detail are there. The toilet paper is not the 1-ply crap you get even in some upscale hotels. They had a black washcloth which my wife used to remove her makeup (no one else has that).
Not sure what I didn't like. OK - you want me so say something negative. The cable went out for 5 minutes but they reset the box and it worked again.
Harrogate House was perfect in every way. The rooms were tastefully decorated, pristine and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent- perfect lattes, scrumptious croissants, homemade jams, eggs done just right, smoothies, avocado toast, and a pot of tea! All made for a memorable stay. Moreover, Harrogate House's proprietors, Elizabeth and Kent were wonderfully accommodating and full of delightful conversation and extensive knowledge of the Niagara region.
The owners were incredibly friendly and provided the BEST breakfasts! Kent even gave my husband tips on how to make poached eggs. We really enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect!
This is such a beautiful property and the hosts were so welcoming.
They need to have better light blocking material on they are windows facing the morning sun
It is a beautifully restored historical property with very friendly owners - just steps from the Main Street.
My husband and I found the bed to be too hard for our liking.
Everything about This B&B was exceptional. The breakfasts was so delicious. Everything was so clean. The location could not have been better. Our hosts were so gracious. Thank you Kent and Elizabeth and Matthew!
There was nothing that we didn't like.
Owners were the best
Lovely people, beautiful home in excellent location. only a five minute walk from the theatres.
