My wife had messaged in saying it was for a special event, and we arrived to a beautifully written card and some wine. Thank you!
Rooms were stylish and rain shower head was lovely, bed comfy and choice of pillows great. The restaurants that service the Britomart are fantastic, breakfast delicious and Cafe Hanoi was exceptional. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here in Auckland again.
Room could be a little bigger but as we didn't spend much time in the room it wasn't a problem.
Great location
We really loved our stay. Very beautiful hotel in an excellent location.

hot duna
Spotlessly clean, staff were excellent. Breakfast food is amazing and the room facilities were lovely. And the design of the hotel is beautiful.
Limited coffee at breakfast, only allowed two cups of coffee… why??? Everything else is perfect.
Beautifully designed, awesome location and fantastic staff
Design, small details, sustainability values
A few more square feet in the room would have been nice.
Staff were superb. Howard the concierge was spot on.
Nothing.
Excellent location, extremely stylish and comfortable.
The staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful. The food at Kingi is beautiful. The room is quiet and cosy. Everything was lovely.
Lovely breakfast!
One of the best hotels in Auckland. Great service and a most enjoyable stay!
The staff, location and food was amazing. The rooms are small but very cosy!
Rooms were smaller than we expected ............ we knew they were on the small side, but not as small as they were. Still a very nice stay though.
Posizione incredibile nel quartiere più bello della città, ristorante buonissimo e staff eccezionale
Camera un po’ piccola
Great location and helpful staff. Beautiful decor and bathroom products.
Lighting and heating/cooling were adjustable but still seemed too bright and too warm. Cleaners replaced towels that I hung, despite hotel’s green philosophy saying otherwise.
Everything was great, the location, staff, room & facilities.
Nothing
Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic facilities, impeccable cleanliness and excellent location. The breakfast at Kingi was fabulous.
Very spacious for a large group The amount of space across the open plan kitchen dining and living caters well for the maximum occupancy. Lovely fresh decor Clean and comfortable Very comfortable beds and linen.
Great location and immaculate rooms.
No parking close and no EV charging options, otherwise great.
In a great area
Rooms are quite small
This beautiful hotel did not disappoint. The team were very attentive.
We loved the location, a great city vibe and the every time we walked back into the hotel we received a very friendly greeting from the staff. Rooms were beautifully appointed. We will be back.
Lovely establishment. Good location and restaurants.

Central, lovely ambience and clean
Parking could be a little better but at no fault of the hotel and staff did their best to accommodate
Location is perfection. Surrounded by restaurants and bars, and directly next to the Saturday markets. Only a 5 minute walk away from the wharf and Queen Street, but maintaining that quiet, not crowded feel. Staff were accommodating, kind and always checking in with us as we went through the lobby. The room itself was gorgeous. Lots of local/Māori infusion, beautiful bathroom with overhead shower and those beds? Gorgeous. This has to be my best stay in Auckland so far - already mentally prepping for the next!
I have stayed in quite a number of Auckland’s hotels but this one leaves the others for dead. The location along with very friendly attentive staff makes the whole experience comfortable and welcoming. I really am looking forward to a return visit in the very near future
Location, very clean rooms staff very friendly & helpful
Coffee machine wasn’t that great to use
Perfect central location, great for a traveller without a vehicle. The room was dark, quiet and comfortable to sleep in, which is the most important thing.
There was nothing to improve on. Everything was great as is.
Everything about our Hotel Britomart experience was excellent. Great reception, ideal valet service, sense of something very special. Hope to stay again.
Lovely modern hotel, great location

Loved our 2 night stay here, beautiful hotel, great location, excellent service and will definitely stay here again.
Britomart is a seriously good hotel and our overwhelming thought was that the next time we come to Auckland, we would expect to pay a lot more for a room there, it was that high quality an experience. In bigger cities, you would anticipate a premium to stay at a venue like this. so my wisest advice is to book it whilst it's reasonably priced! Others have mentioned the location and being wedged in between the Viaduct and Queen Street is a massive plus. The check in was very smooth and culminated in our being escorted to our room and having various features explained in a clear fashion. It is obvious that considerable thought went into room design, starting with the provision of little nooks on both sides of the bed, with power slots and overhead lighting. The shower was fantastic, a great stream of hot water from either an overhead shower or more conventional pole set up, along with good quality shampoos, shower gels etc. The hotel offers a pretty cool gym and has a quite old school style "Library" wine/cocktail bar which would be a superb place to have a drink or two. There are three restaurants at the bottom of the hotel and we tried out Ghost Street, which was seriously good. In addition, we went to White & Wongs (last night as it happens!) which we knew favourably from Queenstown and also ate at The Brit, which whilst more casual, was pretty good and well priced. I could tell you the things we didn't do, but we did discover The Daily Bread, which is a two minute walk from the hotel. It's a really cool space and does a variety of breakfast/lunch type things. We can vouch for the service, which was impressive, given the number of patrons it attracts and thought the sour dough toast was excellent. We enjoyed the coffee as well as the provision of sparkling and still water on tap and I can also report that the chorizo sausage roll was yummy! Most tour guides might neglect to mention visiting Ponsonby, we walked there from the hotel (be warned there are steep hills involved) found an impressive high street, with lots to offer and worth a visit. We caught the bus back and like most of our NZ bus experiences, found it quite straightforward and easy. We do hope to get to Auckland again, but having said that, it was fifteen years since we had last been there, but if we do get our act together faster, the Britomart will be the obvious choice.
Our stay at The Hotel Britomart was outstanding. All of the staff were exceptional and a special call out to Ciaran Molloy for all the help he provided to make our stay and visit to Auckland and Waiheke Island an awesome experience! Thank you!
Great location close to the ferries and excellent restaurant choices. The room was spacious, luxurious and the comfiest bed. Staff were lovely and the eco friendly vibe was a great addition
Room service order was below expectations
Highly recommend - beautiful place with amazing customer service. Rooms and views were stunning. Such a funky clean and awesome vibe. Food was great and staff super helpful and went above and beyond
Travaux de rénovation dans le bâtiment voisin, marteau piqueur à 6:30 du matin, nous l’avons signalé à la réception, « sorry »!!! La chambre côté rue et place bruyante le samedi soir.
Very modern, comfortable bed and great position.
Beautiful and clean hotel, perfectly designed and located.

The service and staff were absolutely amazing, stunning hotel I will be back!
Nothing it was perfect
Beautiful architecture and interiors. In an amazing location close to everything.
Very clean and welcoming
We love staying at Hotel Britomart – we’ve stayed twice now and both times the staff have made our arrival (and entire stay) feel like a homecoming. They display genuine warmth, kindness and care. We are also huge fans of their equal opportunity employment policy, making apace for excellent employees who have additional challenges in life. It feels like this hotel should be twice the price as we have stayed in many hotel sin NZ, USA and Japan and Hotel Britomart ranks amongst the best.
Lovely luxurious decor and modern room snd hotel. Dinner and breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommended
Very well appointed hotel, comfortable rooms and the most helpful and accomodating staff.
I had an absolutely fantastic stay and couldn't fault a thing. The personalised cocktails in the Wine Lounge were a real highlight—beautifully crafted and tailored perfectly to our tastes, making the experience feel truly special. Dinner at Kingi Restaurant was fabulous. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was vibrant, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The room service was equally impressive. In fact, the burgers were some of the best I've ever had—fresh, generous, and cooked to perfection. What really set this experience apart, however, was the incredible team. Every single team member I encountered was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely committed to providing outstanding service. It's rare to have such consistently positive interactions throughout a stay, and it made all the difference. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return! 👏🍸🍔✨
Best staff being Elliot and the Chinese guy
The staff. The rooms. The breakfast. The location.
Nice hotel, great location and very trendy. Staff extremely nice and very helpful. Rooms on the small side with no space for suitcases. Breakfast disappointing. We stayed 3 nights and the same options offered each day. A choice of 6 items (I was granola-ed out by the 3rd day). More variety would be nice.
Hotel Britomart is beautiful, sophisticated and elegant while still giving cozy and approachable vibes. The room was incredible, the staff were wonderful and the breakfast was to die for
We highly recommend The Hotel Britomart. The staff are so friendly but also very professional. The rooms are beautiful and very well appointed. The beds are super comfy, we actually sleep really well staying here which is unusual for a hotel stay. The rooms get pitch black and there’s no street noise or any noise from other hotel guests once you’re in your room. The rooms are always spotlessly clean. The hotel restaurant Kingi has a great ambience and the food and drinks are excellent. The hotel is also in a great location, close to shopping and plenty of great restaurants nearby. It’s our new regular and we can’t wait to stay again.
Great Establishment with friendly warm staff to match!! The team is professional and the venue is amazing.
Great location, amazing staff, excellent rooms and very quiet. I was in Auckland for some work for a week, and this was a great hotel for business. I used the complimentary bikes to ride around a little. Staff are genuinely courteous and happy. I will stay again.
Love the location, the interiors and vibe. The staff are great too. My home away from home.
Nothing. Everything is amazing.
