Breakfast was awesome. Good location, easy walking distance from bus stop & things of interest.

Room is poorly designed, very little space for your stuff. No room for stuff in bathroom. You are only allotted 1 pillow per person. Beds are way too soft, no back support.

Lovely”cozy” hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff were engaging, friendly and helpful. We had an excellent dinner and the breakfast was wonderful. Our stay was very comfortable and memorable- thanks to all the staff for all of your hospitality and kindness.

Værelset var en stor skuffelse. Meget småt og udsigten var begrænset til at kigge direkte ind i en Stor kratbevokset skråning 2 meter fra vinduet.

Property is very well located across from the Fjord. Our room had a direct view on it.

I loved everything about this hotel and might stay here. My room was perfect. It's exactly where I would like to be the next time. I'm there. It is located in a beautiful setting across the street from the Fjord and very walkable to everything! A special recognition is for Mauro. He is so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Truly an outstanding person.🌟💫

There is nothing that I don't love about this property. Perhaps it would've been nice to have a few more options on the dinner menu… Perhaps having the option for lunch?? truthfully it's just a marvelous place.

The hotel itself was clean and the view was obviously impeccable. Didn't try the restaurant but the breakfast was fine. As a vegetarian, not a lot of options but still enough.

The pillows were a bit too flimsy to sleep on. And if you have big luggage, you might need to take stairs after 2nd floor. We didn't have a lot of luggage so, manageable for us.

Very clean, bright rooms, large, newly renovated bathrooms with heated floors, super comfortable beds and great restaurant on-site. We couldn’t have asked for more on our road trip through Norway’s fjords.

Smell from shower. Drab decor, lift does not go past second door floor meaning cases had to be hauled up a very steep staircase if on a higher floor. Vastly over priced.

The property is an adorable in that has a lovely restaurant. It is very close to the water.

The location was not easy to get to via public transportation, and the hotel wasn’t overly helpful in arranging transportation. There is no Uber or boat or really even taxis in the town. Also, the price of the hotel was extremely high for that area.

Excellent view for the room with balcony facing the fjord. Room was very clean too.

Food options around the hotel is limited. Bus doesn't run late to where the hotel is.

Very small parking in front of the hotel, there's a good chance you'll have to park 5 mins away. So I would suggest drop your luggage off and then go parking

A quiet toen 15 mins by car from Flam, but easy transportation by bus or taxi, the view from our room was sensational, rooms were a ok size and so was the bathroom

The food is excellent

The location is stunning. It’s not at the most crowded and popular bit but a short drive away. The hotel and its surroundings were fantastic and superb! I loved our rooms facing the fiords, just overall loveliness.

It’s not the most spacious room but it’s ok.

We had a terrible last dinner. We ordered entrecôte steaks. We got cheated!!! It was not an entrecôte cut. It was soooo hard and tasteless. I returned my steak. The others ate it. It was awful. They still charged us.

This is a good 3* hotel charging 5* prices. Breakfast was very disappointing, poor choice of cereals ,fruit and no bread rolls as “ the bakery is closed today “ Also the coffee machine was broken so there was lukewarm warm self service instant coffee. Very disappointing for just under £500 for one night ! Even by Norway prices this is very high for what we got .

Amazing breakfast... never had something so nice before. I very nice restaurant and you can order more from the kitchen than the amazing buffet. We stayed in some nice places but that one was the best. One other place had an espresso bar and that's the only way that we liked that place better. The rooms all have an amazing view and a very short walk to a post-card worthy picture... it was so amazing that when I got home and looks, I thought "was that actually my picture or is this AI" :)

It would be nice to have a shuttle to/from Flam as we took the train. We did book a Vu bus but a shuttle would be better. Still not a huge problem because there were regular bus routes back to Flam.

Volume de rangement dans la chambre restreint et non fermé : une barre pour suspendre 4 ou 5 cintres et quatre petites étagères. Difficile d'ouvrir deux valises dans la chambre : une doit être posée au sol. Malgré la qualité d'ensemble de la prestation, le prix de la chambre reste très élevé.

Amazing staff, in a beautiful location. Our room had a balcony with wonderful view over the fjord. Breakfast was good with a choice of some made to order dishes. Evening food was really nice. Good availability if parking immediately outside the hotel.

Price of food and drink was particularly high. It was the most expensive we found when travelling around Norway.

Our stay started extremely well - the service of the front desk is fabulous, really cordial and professional, and the dinner in the restaurant is fantastic. We highly recommend both the "normal" restaurant (which is extremely well executed fine dining with 1-2 vegetarian options) and the otherworldly good and unique KEST gourmet tasting menu. The room itself was tasteful with a comfortable bed and a nicely renovated bathroom.

After the fabulous dinner, we really looked forward to breakfast - and unfortunately were quite disappointed. The coffee was the biggest let-down - it's a machine preparing espresso-esque beverages from a concentrate that contains sugar and lots of additives and tastes as bad as it sounds. We loved the idea of offering both a-la-carte options and a buffet but execution unfortunately left us underwhelmed: The buffet (at least in the May version - there was lots of empty space on the counters, maybe they offer more choices in peak season) felt limited; there was no wholegrain bread (in general a surprising gap in Norway given that nearby Sweden has fantastic wholegrain breads), the melons were tasteless, there was no hot chocolate for kids, and sugary wheat puffs were the only cereal option. The a-la-carte items ranged from the tasty (the hot oats with chocolate, almonds and fresh blueberries were great; the (half of a) waffle was nice) to the inedible (the hummus was strangely sour) and were rather small. In light of the exceptionally high price of the hotel, the limited buffet options and the small size of the a-la-carte options, we were taken aback that we could not get a second item. Overall the hotel felt overpriced - while the price suggests ultimate luxury, aspects of the accommodation were rather basic: e.g., the elevator only reaches the first floor (we had to haul up our bags two more flights of stairs to reach our top floor room with balcony), and because of the tilted ceiling underneath the roof, every time we went to our bathroom or sofa, we had to be careful not to bump our head into a rather low beam. There was no desk and no closet, and consistent with the breakfast, there was no coffee maker for capsules capable of producing high end coffee in the room. Free parking space in front of the hotel is limited and may not be available every night.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Aurlandsfjord. The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the fjord and mountains that create a truly peaceful and memorable atmosphere. The hotel is charming, comfortable, and perfectly situated for exploring Aurland and the surrounding area. What made our stay especially enjoyable was the exceptional service. The receptionists were amazing—warm, welcoming, professional, and always happy to help with recommendations and any questions we had. Their friendliness made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The excellent breakfast, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding hospitality made this one of the highlights of our Norway trip. We would highly recommend Hotel Aurlandsfjord to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic fjord experience.

Amazing views of the fjords and a comfortable room with convenient furniture and a good amount of space. The food in the restaurant was delicious, the location was excellent, and the staff was very friendly.

The only downsides were the absence of a refrigerator, a hairdryer, and a wardrobe in the room.

We did not like the room which was allocated to us and requested a change. The staff was not very accommodating. At the end we could change the room and ended up with a room on the 4th floor. As the lift only was going up to the 2nd floor I could carry our luggage 2 floors up in a narrow staircase. The walk-in shower design was very poor. The glass panel was not wide enough, so while taking a shower the majority of the bathroom floor got wet.
