Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Logement récemment aménagé, propre et bien équipé. Suffisamment de places chaises/tables dans l’espace commun y compris en terrasse avec vue ! La localisation avec vue sur le fjord est superbe (même si c’est à 10-15min à pieds des arrêts de bus et de bateaux).
Il manquerait juste un coin cosy avec canapé/fauteuils pour s’installer un peu confortablement. Mais c’est du pinaillage, il y a tout ce qu’il faut en chaises/tables par ailleurs.

It was a bare bones facility with signs plastered everywhere about what you shouldn’t do and what the fine will be if you do! I’m pretty sure it’s not what I booked!!

Туалетов и душевых много, и они чистые, причем душевые обогреваются, везде всегда есть мыло и бумажные полотенца. Персонала мы не видели, но нам прислали подробнейшие инструкции с картинками по заселению и выселению, так что проблем не было никаких.
Рядом с нами была сломана дверь на улицу, и от этого по коридору сквозило.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The hostel was great, everything (kitchen, common area, bathroom, bedrooms) was very well organised, very clean and well maintained. The surroundings are stunning and we had great views from all over the house while cooking and eating. It was very comfortable and didn't feel crowded at all!

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Excellent location in Stegastein, super easy from Flåm if you spent the day on a cruise and/or in the Flåmsbana. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. The main house has 7 apartments and 3 bathrooms in addition to the kitchen, so very balanced. The property has a wonderful view to the fjord, and the temperature indoors is very pleasant.
All communication (messages, notice boards, notes, reception) is very laconic, and borderline aggressive "do not call us", or "don't keep this door open or the facility will be closed by management". It's very efficient - just not very kind.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Amazing view to wake up to! It’s just outside of Flam and we arrived on the last train, so took the shuttle offered by the hostel- was seamless. It’s a bit of an uphill walk from the town, so very glad we did that, but easy to walk into town the next day. There is a lovely floating sauna in town, we took to local bus to a hiking trail head and we caught the ferry from there also rather than going back to Flam. I was a little worried we wouldn’t be in Flam, but it was perfect!

The hotel staff appeared disengaged and was reluctant to provide necessary information. Additionally, the room size was significantly smaller than anticipated, featuring only minimal amenities. Furthermore, the hotel shuttle service was overly complex to reserve and priced disproportionately high.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Beautiful and peaceful location with amazing fjord views. Our private room faced the fjord, which made the stay very special. The shared toilets were clean and sufficient for the number of guests, so we had no problem using them.
The property is uphill and the ascent is quite steep. If you have large or heavy luggage, I strongly recommend arranging the shuttle or other transport in advance rather than walking up.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Très bon emplacement, à environ 10 minutes à pied du quai. Personnel réactif concernant le chauffage cassé : une solution a été trouvée rapidement.
L’accès est en montée (10 min environ) et la navette, facturée 15 € par personne, est arrivée avec 30 minutes de retard : nous avons dû appeler et avons même eu l’impression qu’on nous avait oubliés. Pour près de 100 € par personne et par nuit, les équipements sont décevants : - un seul sèche-cheveux pour tous les logements apparemment, et qui était cassé alors qu’il apparaît sur les photos - pas d’armoire ni d’endroit pratique pour sécher les vêtements. - bagagerie non surveillée dans une petite pièce non fermée donnant sur la rue. - réception ouverte uniquement de 15h à 19h30 et difficilement joignable en dehors de ces horaires. - serrure fermant mal, douche mal conçue avec de l’eau partout, vaisselle non compatible avec l’induction. Et surtout, une quantité impressionnante de panneaux et de consignes rappelant interdictions et frais éventuels : dommage que les équipements ne bénéficient pas de la même attention.

Das Zimmer liegt direkt im Eingangsbereich neben der Küche. Daher ist es recht laut, v.a. wenn früh morgens Gäste abreisen. Im Zimmer steht ein Bett und ein sehr abgewohnter Nachtschrank. Aufenthaltsqualität im Zimmer daher gering. Für das, was man bekommt, ist es leider zu teuer.

Vi boede i “Pers hus” (tror vi det hed). Det var dyrt i forhold til hvad man fik for pengene. Der var alt for få toiletter. Der var generelt for lidt plads , og for lidt udstyr i køkkenet. Der var meget lyt. Det var gammelt og slidt - herunder slidte og ikke indbydende møbler.

There's quite a distance from Flan. We arranged for private transportation, but heard there are buses from Flan, however cannot confirm.

Good views come with sacrifices. If you are travelling without a car and carrying a luggage, think twice before booking because the hill is horrifying terrifying exhausting. Takes about 15mins to walk from the supermarket at the bottom of the hill to the hostel, will be even longer if you are dragging a luggage or carrying a baggage. Also because i was assigned to this room in the house, that is right at the entrance, where the kitchen and common areas are at as well, it was so noisy most of the time.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026La struttura è molto bella, ha un giardino bellissimo con vista meravigliosa sul fiordo ed è attrezzato anche con barbecue è molto tavoli per mangiare all’aperto. Anche la camerata è spaziosa, ben tenuta, i letti sono ampi e comodi e c’è spazio per mettere le valigie negli armadietti dedicati (anche se suggerisco di non portare valigie troppo grandi) e il dormitorio viene pulito ogni giorno. Lenzuola e asciugamani sono inclusi (cosa non scontata in Norvegia) e vengono cambiati ogni giorno. Noi siamo stati fortunati perché non c’era moltissima gente durante in nostro soggiorno e non abbiamo avuto nessun problema particolare con bagni e cucina (che abbiamo trovato sempre liberi) ma è una criticità
Prezzo assolutamente spropositato per un dormitorio oltretutto da 8 persone, una follia. I bagni sono sotto dimensionati per il numero di ospiti (3 wc di cui uno con doccia e due docce separate) e vengono puliti solo una volta al giorno. La cucina è sfornita di qualsiasi accessorio, è praticamente impossibile cucinare con solo due pentole e due padelle e anche le posate e i piatti scarseggiano. Ci sono solo 6 fuochi a induzione e un solo lavello per tutti gli ospiti (che nella struttura dedicata saranno almeno 40)

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Des crochets, une poubelle ainsi qu’un miroir auraient été apprécié dans notre chambre. Les instructions n’étaient pas tout à fait clair à notre arrivée. Il faudrait davantage de signalisation. Il manquait un miroir dans une salle de bain du rez-de-chaussée. Des gens laissaient traîner des objets dans la salle de bain. Si noirs avions su, nous aurions réservé ailleurs.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026The bedroom was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and all guests adhered to the quiet time rules (22:00-08:00- from memory!). We had beautiful views. I liked the fact that the hostel was a short walk from town. We loved Aurland. The taxi pick up was great, really flexible (we were late) and the driver flexible and friendly.
To be honest- the shared facilities. The cleaning team work very hard, but it’s the volume of people using the facilities (which are modern and well maintained). The loos were clean. It is clearly explained that facilities are shared, I knew to expect this prior to arrival. Also, the kitchen- people were cooking different food stuffs- the smell of the food was quite strong and nauseating, again, part and parcel of staying at a hostel, but plenty of ventilation is key.
