Amazing property but on a train track

It’s on a train track and the train passes by every 20 minutes starting at 6 am !

It is up in Murren, about a ten minute walk from train. Jeanette was the sweetest hostess. She was always cheerful and helpful. The morning breakfast was plentiful. The room was clean and bright, not luxury, but very adequate. Our room was 46 steps up, so it added to our exercise every day. 👏 Just to be aware, there is no “lounge” in the guesthouse. Also, the train passes right in front of the guest house. It does not run at night so there was no noise from the train at night. But this does affect the view from the property.

The owners/operators of Hotel Alpenblick are wonderful people who make you feel like family. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. They feed you breakfast and have a small restaurant which serves homemade Swiss dishes-wonderful!

An exceptional place to stay. Very cosy and clean. A close walk to the train station. The beds are comfortable. Be sure to treat yourself to a delicious authentic Swiss dinner in their restaurant. Jeannette, Tom and their team are wonderful hosts.

This Hotel was wonderful with delicious breakfasts and dinners! The service was 5-stars! The people who run the place are kind and warm. I highly recommend booking a room!

The view from the balcony is breathtaking and its proximity to the train station is very convenient. Jeanette is a lovely host who provided helpful info about the area.

Absolutely phenomenal view right from the room, great location close to the train station. In my opinion more then the room and facilities it is Jeanette (owner) that makes this place what it is and your experience. She is awesome and treats het guests as family.

We LOVED the Hotel Alpenblick and stayed for 6 nights. Thomas and Jeannette were fantastic hosts who made us feel so welcome. Thomas' wonderful cooking kept us well fed with tasy Swiss dishes at dinner and Jeannette made sure that our stay was comfortable and easy. We had freshly made coffee every morning with fresh-baked goodies, cheeses, meats, yogurt and fruit to get us fueled in the morning for our mountain adventures. Jeannette greeted us every morning and evening and was so friendly and helpful. I'm so glad we made Hotel Alpenblick our home base in Murren. Murren was especially delightful in the mornings and evenings without the daytrippers. I would highly recommend Murren and the Hotel Alpenblick as your home away from home in the Swiss Alps. Oh, did I mention the view from our room? Fantastic!

Hotel Alpenblick was a lovely place that was perfectly situated in Murren - close to the train station, but a tiny bit off the beaten path. The owners were absolutely lovely and super helpful. It was very comfortable and had everything that we needed.

Our balcony and views were amazing. Staff are the owners and they’re very friendly. The breakfast was very good. Location is great.

Noise - we were on the first floor and heard constant loud feet from above. Since there is no AC we had to leave the windows open at night which could let in smoke (smoking is unfortunately allowed on the balconies) and neighbors talking. Also the hotel is right on the train tracks so at 550am you’ll be awoken by the train brakes squealing. Pillows - pillows were the flattest, feather pillows we’ve ever had.

The place was very neat and nice and you have a great view from the balcony. Food waa also outstanding

Everything was wonderful! Short easy walk from the train station. Rooms are clean and modern, very comfortable. The view of the mountains was unbearable. Breakfast was delicious, so was dinner. Jeannette was super helpful, quick communication with booking inquiries, and offered wonderful suggestions when we got here about our daily plans. Mürren is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Location cannot be beat! Make sure to eat at their onsite restaurant, it is wonderful! Rooms are clean and bathrooms are nice. Great breakfast included!

View of the 3 most iconic mountains in the Bernese oberland (Eiger, monch, jungfrau) is unrivaled and the hotel is a mere 3 minute walk downhill from the train station.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The views were incredible, and our room was comfortable, peaceful, quiet, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was great, and the dinner was really delicious too. Jeanette and all of the staff were so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely lovely. We felt very well looked after from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Janet was a great host! We stayed in the budget room because we were out hiking most of the time. Just needed a nice place to sleep and that was perfect! The breakfast was good, too. We would definitely rebook here.

We enjoyed amazing views from our balcony. Jeannette was warm and helpful, offering perfect suggestions for trips around Mürren. The restaurant was fantastic for dinner.

We were in Murren for a wedding and were especially pleased with the location of this hotel, at the far end of the busy area. Other wedding guests stayed closer to the town at other hotels and reported a lot of noise. We had no complaints at all. Breakfast was good and the staff very warm and friendly. We had dinner there one evening as well. We would stay here again!

The view from our balcony was breathtaking. The pictures do capture the beauty of the mountains right outside of the windows. The owner waa alao very friendly and we loved the breakfast buffet. Everything was fresh and tasty.

Very personal, privately guest house. The owners live on site and are so helpful and kind. Great location very close to the train station, wonderful breakfast, and very close to all of the hiking trails. Amazing views!

The train starts running around 6 AM and for about 15 or 20 seconds you can hear the squeaking of the rails but no loud horns, etc. There was only soap in the bathroom and no shampoo or conditioner. It wasn’t a problem for us as we had our own,

Janet is one of the best hoteliers i've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She went above and beyond with everything, from explaining sites in the area, to the most scenic hikes, and to how to best work the different transports. She help us retrieve an item when we left behind. Very much appreciated. Also, we liked the location, just on the outskirts of town. It was a way from the hubbub, and offered the best view of the valley and waterfall.

Breakfast was provided and very tasty - they had homemade jam! Jeannette gave us a great overview of the town and surrounding area, and the hotel restaurant had super tasty food.

I personally would have liked other options for covers on the bed. I had a choice of a thick winter comforter or nothing. In hot weather I had to pick nothing which I was not comfortable with.

Hotel Alpenblick was a wonderful stay from start to finish. The hosts are incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help with our trip planning, which made everything easier. The hotel itself is charming and quiet. It is situated just slightly out of town, the only foot traffic passing by is hikers heading for the trails, yet everything is still within an easy walk. The rooms are relaxing with very comfortable beds, and the breakfast spread was excellent, with fresh pastries, yogurt, eggs, and a nice selection of meats and cheeses. One of our favorite parts was simply sitting on the balcony taking in the mountain views.

The location was located right next to the train tracks, so were awakened by the passing of the first train every morning at 6:00a. Breakfast was not until 7:30a in the morning and there are no kettles in the rooms, so waiting until 7:30a for coffee was a bit inconvenient.

Ein, von sehr netten Wirtsleuten, familiär geführtes Hotel. Unsere Zimmer ( Junior Suite) waren gut eingerichtet, der seitliche Balkon bot einen phantastischen Blick auf die Schnee und Gletscher gekrönten Berge und die Küche des Restaurants war sehr schmackhaft. Sonderwünsche könnten geäußert werden und wurden auch realisiert. Danke an unsere Gastgeber. PS: Ein paar Bilder oder ähnliches im Schlafzimmer wären nicht schlecht und könnten nicht schaden

View points, owner, balcony, and would have been better if the train line was working to Grindelwald. But no fault to the owners.

The hair found on the bathtub. Recommend using a macro cloth to clean up hair during cleaning tubs.

The host / staff could not have been friendlier. The jams at breakfast are homemade and wonderful.

Jeanette and Thomas are SO helpful and friendly! They picked us up and dropped us off at the lift station; gave us ice for our water bottles multiple times a day; helped figure out what times to catch lifts to get to the various hikes we'd planned. Just invaluable and so sweet. They even had umbrellas and hiking poles to borrow! The rooms are small but organized excellently. Having a balcony was superb to sit out on.

Our stay in hotel Alpenblick was incredible. We stayed in the junior suite and had the most amazing views from our balcony. The room was very spacious and clean. The cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Murren was closed for construction when we were there but the hosts came and picked up our luggage at the Stechelberg cable car, so we didn't have to walk with it all the way through the town.

We were there during a heat wave so slept with the windows open. Even still though, it was hot so a small fan would have been nice.

Amazing views! Place is quiet at the end of the village but still very close 5 min walking distance to shops. Welcoming and accommodating hosts! Loved the bathtub and there was no smoking which was good. Highly recommend!

The couple who seem to be the managers/owners are very welcoming and hospitable. We had a beautiful view and a large balcony. The breakfast buffet is also very nicely done. The property is situated at the edge of town so it was very quiet.

Very basic double room. No frills. Was advertised as a 'budget room' but for CHF 240 per night it wasn't great value. 2 nights was ok. There are better hotels in Murren.

The husband and wife who run this hotel are fantastic hosts and very helpful. We received instructions on finding the hotel before check-in which was helpful because the main train into town was out of service. We had the most majestic view of the mountains from our balcony and the breakfast was fantastic.

It’s pricey, but so is ever place in this area. This was reasonably priced and we’d happily stay again.

2 bedroom apartment was great for our family with 2 small kids. Jeanette and Thomas are both very nice. Breakfast was good (particularly the bread).

We stayed in 12 different hotels during this trip and this was by far and away the best of them. The room was a decent size and very comfortable (and of course the views are breathtaking), but the thing that stood out the most was the hospitality. Jeanette the owner is so warm and friendly, it feels like you're staying with a family member. Her husband Tom cooks the food which is also delicious and better than the other (much more expensive) restaurants nearby. All in all, this was a wonderful stay made all the more memorable by the impeccable service and hospitality we received. We would 100% stay there again in future.
