Pas de bouilloire pour se faire une boisson chaude. Douche à l'italienne fonctionnelle mais qui arrose facilement toute la salle de bain.

The room is a bit small for a family of three. We waited very long for our food in the restaurant downstairs.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Nice breakfast. Located right across from the train station, bit of a walk if you take the cable car up. Excellent staff. Good shower. Small room and a bit dark. Very quiet as it faced an alley, good and bad news! Comfy enough pillows. The included breakfast was very nice. Appreciated the hot, hard boiled eggs. Between, Lauterbrunnen, Wengen and Murren, I’d choose Murren and I’d stay here again.
For the price we paid, which by Murren standards was on the lower end, it still would have been nice just to have some coffee/tea in the room (along with a kettle of course, cream/milk, cups, etc.) Also, I don’t think it’s respectful for the manager (?) (older woman) to semi-jokingly accuse an employee of accidentally taking pens home with him in front of guests. Makes her look bad and the guests uncomfortable.

On the last day we had to leave earlier so I told the host the night before. She checked to make sure our bills are settled, then offered to pack a little breakfast for us. And she even showed me where she will put the breakfast for me to pick up the next morning. I thanked her multiple times for her gesture. Come next morning, I went down to the spot, no breakfast! We left bewildered.

Colazione varia e davvero buona, con tante proposte sia dolci che salate e prodotti freschi. Staff gentile e disponibile. Possibilità di cenare in uno dei ristoranti migliori di Mürren con specialità svizzere, italiane d portoghesi. Top la possibilità di entrare gratuitamente alla piscina di Mürren per rilassarsi a fine giornata.
Se proprio devo dire qualcosa… la comodità del letto lascia un po’ a desiderare.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Brilliant location and great rooms right next to the connecting station that will get you to Murren. If you are looking for a place to stay here I would definitely recommend the Eiger Guesthouse and they are dog friendly for those travelling with their lucky pups.
Murren is described as a car exempt village, but the amount of traffic going up and down the main street was surprising. Nothing to do with the hotel but worth keeping in mind.

The breakfast grossed me out because there were hundreds of flies all over the breakfast and dining room. And all over the food. It was really gross. The bedroom windows opened up to a patio which felt like something could walk or crawl right into your room, but you had to have the windows open to get any air or the room was stifling. The toilet paper was very rough.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026You really can't beat the location here. The hotel is right next to the train station, so coming and going was super easy, and everything in town is just a short walk away. The staff were very nice too. They even lent us a Swiss charging adapter during our stay, which was really helpful. The beds were really comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and breakfast was great, with fresh pastries, yogurt, eggs, and a nice spread of meats and cheeses. We loved sitting out on the balcony with the mountain views.
A few things to know before you book. There's no kettle in the rooms, though breakfast does start at 7am. The bigger issue for us was noise and heat. The hotel has no A/C, and it was very hot during our stay, so we had to sleep with the windows and balcony door open to let the fresh mountain air in. That meant we heard the train station workers arriving at 5:30 each morning to prep for the first 6am departure, and at night people would sit at the hotel restaurant below talking loudly until around midnight, well past closing time. We ended up sleeping with a sound machine. To be fair, with the windows closed the noise was dramatically less, so visiting during a cooler time of year would probably solve most of this. One last thing: the balcony on our side of the building was shared with two other rooms with no dividers between them, meaning someone from the other rooms could have easily walked right into our room at night while the door was open. That made us uneasy, but the heat didn't really give us a choice.

Además tiene un restaurante en terraza también con una vista extraordinaria, el personal fue muy amable, en especial Francisco. Nos dieron un acceso gratuito a la piscina que está en un centro deportivo cercano al alojamiento y fue muy bueno para refrescarnos. Lo recomiendo 100%, ojalá podamos volver.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Emma, Francisco, Pedro and all the staff were exceptionally kind and thoughtful. This was my second time to stay at the Guesthouse and my they have make tremendous improvements. My family and I felt at home right away in this wonderful place. To have a private balcony overlooking the trio of beautiful Alp peaks was fantastic. The outside eating area had been greatly expanded . We will definitely return.
The comforters on the beds need to be switched out for summer weight ones.

When I was there they were renovating the place so some scaffolding on the building, but nothing that affected the view. Super friendly staff and half-decent restaurant. And they just opened a huge patio that has unobstructed views of the majestic alps.
Small issue. I was there in May and had to schlepp my stuff through the town as the only way up to Muerren as the cable car as they are refurbishing the train from Lauterbrunnen. Once that is finished though, this hotel is right across the street, so location can't be beat.
