Central, easy to find. Parking was handy ! The room was cosy. Area downstairs to sit as well as your room .

Some road noise which didn’t bother my other half but I’m quite a light sleeper.

Great location very close to the sea front and the centre of Penzance.

Due to it's close proximity to the seafront it was quite noisy at night, probably my mistake not thinking it through.

Lovely location for Ferry, train station and sea front. Stayed in the family room with my two children on route to the Isles of Scillies so was ideal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Right on the sea front with lovely views across the sea and Lido pool, easy 2min walk down to fish and chip shop or restaurants, but still quiet at night/mornings. Would definitely stay again.

Room was right at the top of 3 flights of stairs, which kids thought was rather fun, but might be a challenge for those older/less able. No breakfast option, but lots of cafes nearby.

Tha Stanly was perfect for our 1-night stopover on our way the the Isles of Scilly. Convenient and clean.

Great location. Perfect for the one night stop we needed. Fabulous view! We bought take away fish and chips and ate them in the front garden looking at the sea. Comfortable room.

They no longer do breakfast, location was ideal for the Isles of Scilly ferry next morning!

Have stayed here before, but only for a overnight stop, so knew what to expect. They did breakfast back then, so I would say that is the only minus point.

We were expecting breakfast like every other time we’ve stayed at the Stanley so it was disappointing not to have breakfast.

Great little hotel in a great coastal town. I had a paceful night and left the hotel very happy the next morning.

There was no lift, but it had the charm of a nice little house.

Die Nähe zum Anleger der Fähre nach den Scilly Islands. Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers und die freundlichkeit bei der Schlüsselübergabe und die unproblematische Abreise.

Das Dritte Bett war nur ein Klapbett und die Treppe zum Zimmer war sehr Steil und extrem eng.

Was disappointed we thought we would get breakfast when we booked but on arrival told no breakfast but we thought it was included like previous times!

Our room was in attic 3 flights of extremely narrow staiirs. Very hot.skylight window could not see out .seagulls nesting on the roof woke us 4.30am both nights. Lovely garden but a sun trap with no parasol. Would definitely have sat in garden if there was a shady bit.. I would also suggest a mini fridge in room all our drinks and snacks were too warm.suggest ringing hotel direct to check room location

The location of the room was located near the main road even with the windows closed a good nights rest was difficult to obtain. The traffic was awful and pedestrians noise was also dreadful.

The locality was perfect and the room was spotless and comfortable. Being on the third floor with a roof window in a heatwave was tricky so thank you for the fan!

No breakfast is offered so a small room fridge in the room or on the landing would have been good for fresh milk etc. There was no way of keeping anything safe and fresh in the heat during my 4 day coastal walk stay. My room was up a very narrow staircase, which was very difficult to navigate and a tight fit!

The location was excellent as we were getting the ferry to the Scilly Isles the next morning. The accommodation was clean and pleasant, we were 3 people staying in the one room and could have done with 1 double and a single bed but as we had not made the situation clear there were 3 beds, 1 double and 2 singles in the room so it was a bit crowded.

Spotless and nicely decorated also great recommendation for where to eat

It was clean and comfortable with friendly staff (and dogs) I enjoyed the sea views and appreciated the care in the detail (ensuring milk, tea biscuits etc topped up).

Chambre très petite sous les toits, pas de fenêtre, juste un petit velux. Escalier très étroit et très raide pour accéder à la chambre. Ne semble pas correspondre à ce à quoi on peut s’attendre pour un 3 étoiles. En période de grosse chaleur comme c’était le cas, chambre très chaude puisque sous les toits. Toutes les chambres de l’établissement ne sont pas comme la nôtre : éviter celles situées au dernier étage.

It was easy to find, and there was plentiful parking at the hotel or on the road nearby. It's in a great location on the sea front and an easy walk to the harbour for the Scillonian. The communal areas we saw were fresh and modern.

Our double room was very small and a bit dated, however it was clean and we slept well.

It was in the right location for us, close to the Isles of Scilly ferry terminal.

Excellent location perfect for the Scillonian Quay and walking distance from the railway station. Very clean throughout. Warm welcome. Lovely sea views from our room. Excellent value for money. Having our own key to come and go as we liked.

Lots of traffic noise throughout the night. No lift - could be a problem if guests have mobility issues. There was a large window in our bedroom but only two small opening panes and this could mean the room would be very hot in warmer weather.

Good location

The attic room was too low with too many beams to hit my head with which I did twice. Its just not appropriate as a room especially if you are 6ft 2in. Fine if you are Warwick Davies or a Hobbit.

There was no breakfast but the recommendation to Harbourside Café was great advice.

a simple improvement for me, is to have tissues in any room where I sleep.

Nice and comfortable property and the sea view from the bedroom was a real bonus, as was the availability of parking. The location was good too: seafront (just the road between the hotel and the beach), and with a few restaurants nearby.

Location close to ferry over to Isles of Scilly plus walkable on the flat harbour road to Penzance station. It’s got great views and close to the lido and coastal walks to mount st Michael causeway Mousehole and Newlyn.

At the time of my stay the road across the harbour to Penzance station was closed so it was a very difficult uphill struggle to the town centre and back down to the station.

When I arrived there was a lovely friendly man. who showed me my room, He made me feel very comfortable and help me with directions to shops and the best way to cycle to marazion. I was taking part in a half ironman that weekend and was very pleased he let me keep my bike somewhere safe. Bedroom and bathroom very clean.

The only thing was when I turned on the shower I left the door open and it set the fire alarm of at 8am 😬 The man switched it of as quickly as possible and on the positive side at least the fire alarms definitely work ☺️

It wasn’t very walkable on the flat to town or train station when we visited (late April early May) as the road along the front was closed. Only way in to either was up steep roads or steps.

Small but comfortable, clean room for one night stay.

We had one of the rooms at the very top of the house. Up some very narrow stairs, we couldn't take our suitcase into the room due to this . But for a one night stay this wasn't a problem.

No meals available. The attic room was rather cramped and you had to be careful of beams .

Danke für die Flexiblität mit der frühzeitigen Anreise und der Lagerung des Gepäcks. Auch das zusätzliche Bett hat uns den Aufenthalt viel angenehmer gemacht. Der Standort war perfekt mit direktem Blick aufs Meer und wenig Verkehr auf der Küstenstrasse (Strassensperrung wegen Baustelle?)

Sehr enge Aufgänge und Treppen - mit wenig Gepäck für uns gut machbar; mit grossen Gepäckstücken vielleicht eine Herausforderung.

The room has obviously been redecorated with some nice details and a lot of thought. Bedside lights, power and charging outlets all in the right place. The room has a great seaview and a side window overlooking the terrace gardens. The hotel is close to the ferry harbour and we ate at the Dolphin Inn close by. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Small things- the electric kettle was too small and not detachable for filling. The shower was very small
