The pub becomes a party place in the evening and night with obnoxious and loud music. Doesn't smell very nice and room and windows are quite run down. No breakfast available.

I liked nothing i booked the deluxe room for 3 adults and 2 children from booking.com.After going there they told they dont have such type of room.They didnt gave us the room and didnt gave the refund also..

The room was very clean and comfortable.

We were not allowed to have breakfast as they didnt start serving until 9.30 They closed the kitchen at 7-7.30, so evening meal was out of the question. The stairs were a nightmare to get to our room. We did see illegal substances on the ground in the outside areas.

No lift rooms were 3 flights of stairs up not a problem for us with minimal luggage met 2 Japanese people on check out with suitcases bigger than them …couldn’t have been easy There were tea and coffee making facilities but no milk or teaspoons Curtain was not attached correctly to rail Very windy on our stay and there was banging coming from above …..all night No brekky 🤷‍♂️

Room was really dirty, dust was inches thick, only had 1 towel and 1 cup in a double room, had to request more, no shower gel or hand soap and toilet actually still had faeces in!! Shower was very small

If you’re a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend this property as the pub gets quite busy and music/karaoke is played until 1am of Fridays/saturdays

No hot water for the shower, no milk or teaspoon in the room and no soap or shower gel. This is my second time staying here and I had no issues at all the first time

Door was. Broken so couldn't lock it. We. Couldn't go out as a family due to this as somebody had to stay in all time. Staff told us if we didn't like it sleep in the car or go home. Completely spoilt our stay as a family

Mainly little details. No mirror in the bathroom or plug in the sink made wet shaving tricky. Asked for a couple of bath towels as there were only 2 hand towels in the room, but they never materialised.

There were no soap in the bathroom and no staff to enquire. No cleaning service. The pub entrance is not ideal for kid specially when crowded

There's is a pub downstairs and a function room. Pretty standard so far and we have been warned that music will be played till night later. We were not expecting the floor in our room to be rocked about. Was awfull. We stayed before and was not bad at all. But now it seems that the place is being run down. Feel sad for the dedicated staff as the management makes no effort to improve things. Room we stayed a couple of years ago had not been redecorated at all. Mirror in the bathroom was probably broken and they just left the screws in there. Same old distressed caddy table. Cracked sink was not replaced, was only one dim spot light still working in the bathroom and the toilet was dirty. Not being funny but we paid £100+ per night and had the worst sleep ever. Not hotel fault some guest were very noisy but renting that function room for a noisy party until 1 am makes the bedrooms not suitable for guest to sleep in.

Clean, located close to the wedding venue we were attending.

That the pub underneath practically turns into a night club, music blaring all night with absolutely no noise control - surely this property isn’t licensed to play music to such a volume, we could hear the music word for word 2 stories up. dDunk people arguing outside venue. Our room was right above the smoking area and people opening the door every 2 seconds. I am all for people having a good time & music, but this was ridiculous. It was so bad & loud we actually ended up getting an uber home 30 miles away at 1am with the party still very much going on below us and now having to return this morning to get our car.

using very high fire escape stairs to get in and out, light off in bathroom, bad draft from single glassed windows, no breakfast or meal available for the day were there.

There is a charming pub inside.

Radiator pipes leaking in the bathroom. Looks like since months due to rust. Awful communication regarding the invoice. They just react on calls … not emails or messages via booking. I needed an invoice with my companies name and address on it … no chance … they even don’t reply to the booking customer service. Thats really bad situation if you want to get the money back from a business trip. Due to no lobby or reception people in the morning there is no direct contact possible.

Using fire escape for access/egress outside hours of 22.00-09.00. No one available between these hours- hotel phone not forwarded (just rings in the bar) No breakfast available. No sink plug. Bottle of shower gel, as dispenser not filled up or broken? Window frames could do with a wipe.

Absolutely nothing, think I'm being harsh? We were kept up by two party's on 2 different floors untill 1.30am, we were trying to cope with this when the fire alarm went off for about an hour and we left the hotel in the middle of the night, no help from the staff who were all drinking and didn't seem to care. The main issue I had was there was 0 running water. Very unhygienic and very unhappy.

Knowing theres no staff or night porter on duty through the night! The water pressure was too powerful for the showerhead which made it turn away from me making showering awkward this also made the water leak onto the floor soaking the whole bathroom.

It’s an absolutely beautiful building, well restored. Surprised it’s not used as a film location. Staff are friendly & helpful: a family vibe.

The location suited us well and parking was easy. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Kettle and tea making facilities in the room were nowhere near a power outlet! The position of the toilet meant it wasn't possible to sit on it properly! Loud music in the bar until around midnight meant it wasn't a good night's sleep. Although the venue served food we were advised by locals not to eat there. Checked out at 9.15; signage and information stated the reception opened at 9am, however reception was locked.

Needed more coat hangers. Couldn't work out how to get the room cooler without opening the window which opened onto a road. It was Halloween weekend so it was quite noisy at night when trying to sleep.

A hotel over a bar with limited reception service. We had to 'compete' with bar customers to check in! Spacious family room with clean bathroom.

The internet and TV were not working. The owner could not make them work. We agreed that he will offer a discount as compensation. Then he just 'disappeared'. He was not available at the time of the check out as he promised and he became 'unavailable' despite several messages and phone calls. What is there not to like :-) He could have easily saved the day...

The bar staff were super friendly.

The room was not as clean as i would have expected. “Hairs” on towels, also stains on them too. No mirror in the bathroom, but a space and hook for one… Toilet roll placed on a broken holder. Sink cracked (bacteria harbour) Cigarette burns in the carpet Mirror on “dressing table” was filthy. Holes in the wall next to the tv Tv didnt work (we didn’t ask for help on this as we werent bothered about watching it ) Coffee table old and in need of replacement. Multiple other stains on the carpet throughout and didn’t look to have been hoovered very well. We didn’t report any issues as we were only there one night, and the person that showed us our room (at 3pm) was in the bar drinking the whole time we were there. Not a great example to be setting… See pictures.

The room was warm and very comfortable. Lots of tea and coffee. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean. Good WiFi signal.

I loved my stay but it’s worth noting. The room was up two flights of stairs and I had to park on a main road.
