Great courtyard area with live entertainment
The outdoor seating could have been more comfortable
Great rooms and atmosphere!
The room was super clean and quiet.
Clean and wonderful
Convince and friendly staff
Parking is a little tight
My family and I enjoyed the hotel, wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the style of the room. It was our first time in Texas. My husband and I loved that they offer a Texas beer at check in.
Very unique and comfortable. Pool was an excellent source at the end of the day.
Pool could have been open a little longer . Room was only designed and equipped for 2 people, like robes and towels.
Beautiful grounds. Perfectly curated decor.
The gym could be improved.
The rooms are beautiful. Loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the fire pits.
The $18.00 per night service fee that was added on.
Courtyard and pool area very nice. Nice room, but small. Staff was very professional and friendly.
Not enough parking, had to valet park, open lot is off the premises, not secured. AC or fridge made too much noise
Nice
Nothing about the general property. In our room there were two issues: The tv never worked. It said please wait for hours. You had to turn it off on the tv, you could not on the remote. There were two good size old blood stains on one of the two white comforters. We did not notice until this morning or we would have reported it.
We had a fabulous experience. It was our first time to Lubbock and this hotel is so unique and special. We loved the court and green area. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and we loved the large refrigerator.
It was great
Parking
It was just a fabulous experience, we loved everything about it. The staff was exceptional, the accommodations were emasculate and we made a lot of new friends and met some amazing people.
Really nothing. It was simply wonderful!
The hotel was fantastic! We really enjoyed the comfortability and space of our room, an added plus was the drinks and food provided in our room. However the best part was the outside space of the hotel! There were rocking chairs outside our room which was so nice because we were able to sit outside in the evening and listen to the live music they had. The outdoor space also had hammocks, fire pits and corn hole. The pool was great, we enjoyed a full day by the pool and had great customer service while there. I also need to mention the courteous staff from start to finish, they were all so kind and welcoming.
Parking was the only downfall but not something that would keep us from staying here again. It is a small parking lot that filled up quickly as did the street parking so we did use valet one of the three nights we were there which was $25. Another night we ubered to dinner so we wouldn't lose our parking space. Overall not too much of a big deal but still good to know ahead of time so you're prepared.
Great location
Room could have been a touch cleaner.
The facility is beautiful- well manicured, welcoming, upscale feeling, and the staff is great. The bed and the pillows were dreamy ! We loved having a big fridge in the room too!
Parking was tight- there were a few events that weekend and we struggled to find a spot a couple evenings, and had to walk a bit- or circle the property waiting for something to open. I didn’t want to pay $30 for valet
Roomy
We were totally impressed by the style, atmosphere, cleanliness, lack of noise and value. It is such a welcomed breath of fresh air from the typical standardized box chain motel. Cotton Court's retro character and details in the fridge and snacks and bedding and towels was first class. Seeing large multi generational families celebrating 'get togethers' in the courtyard is a testament to the good time place it is, engendering feelings of enjoyment and smiles!
Nice bar and courtyard
Dirty sheets with gum stuck on them and urine stained comforter
I loved it all. Decorated wonderfully.
Nothing
Such a lovely hotel. The restaurant was good and the bartender made the best martini. The starter selection was disappointing but the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Wonderful minibar and the pool was relaxing.
The TV would randomly sign me out of Netflix in the middle of the movie and the WiFi was often lagging.
Location, staff,
Outdoor facilities
The room was spacious and inviting. Great shower and bed.
Spacious and good water pressure
The outlets didn’t work in the bathroom. It smelled like urine I’m the bathroom.
I attended a Celebration of Life service for my niece Karissa Opp which was held in their beautiful banquet room. Also the food was catered by the restaurant on site. I stayed for a 3 night stay flying in from Virginia Beach. I used there beautiful pool during the day and at night they provided live entertainment. They have a very nice restaurant on site which provides high quality food. I can’t say enough about every employee that works there they are very helpful and super friendly. I enjoyed my stay and greatly appreciate the how nice everything turned out at such an emotional time for me, my family and friends. I highly recommend staying here. If I ever return to Lubbock I definitely will be staying here. Thank you Cotton Court!
Clean room, friendly staff,
No microwave in the room
It’s a beautiful design, and the retro/modern vibe is great!
The soft furnishings/rugs in the rooms are dirty.
The place as a whole is great because there is a decent, yet expensive restaurant. However, they charge you $18 a day if you don't dine there and charge it to the room, so you are basically bound to go to the restaurant. Parking is also an issue. A ton of outside people come and swim and use the restaurant leaving no parking for the paying customers. Personally, I would prefer to not have to park in the north 40 and walk by myself over a block when there is no immediate parking. The pillows are HORRID. All HUGE and super plush that when you lay your head down, you lose all ability to hear and see. For the prices they charge, these things need to be addressed. I will no longer stay there for these specific reasons alone.
Looks are deceiving here. While the hotel and amenities are a plenty, the rooms are lacking and misleading. Starting with check-in, Daniella was absolutely amazing! Very helpful, held eye contact, has definitely had higher level customer service training. Think Disney, Ritz Carlton, Carnegie level. No pointing here or there. Walking with me to show me. We arrived late after a long drive and the complimentary adult beverage and spring water were a pleasant surprise. I booked a deluxe king room and was given room 252. The courtyard, pool area, indoor/outdoor restaurant are stunning. Parking is very limited and if you arrive late, you will have to park in a sketchy overflow parking lot that makes you worry the car will be towed or stolen. There is valet parking as well at $25/per day, as many in/outs as you want. This parking lot is one block away from overflow parking and not secured either, so, save yourself the money and self park. We also saw how the valets were driving the vehicles around to park and my husband said, no way. The room at first glance was visually appealing and smelled good. I loved the vaulted shiplap ceilings, the retro refrigerator, robes, urban/industrial vibe. However, that is where things begin to be less appealing. I booked the deluxe king room that can accommodate 3 with a couch. The couch does not pull out and my 5'9 daughter barely fit on it. It's smaller than a twin bed. Daniella had explained explicitly where to locate the extra linens in the room and the bins were empty. I had to call the front desk for linens for this couch. Luckily, our daughter was checking into orientation and camp at Tech and was only spending the one night with us. I would not recommend this as a sleeping option for longer than that. It's not comfortable at all. The comforter of the king bed had dried/old blood and urine/spill stains on it as well as the pillows. The handle for the shower is broken and appears to have been hot glued back on several times. The shower is disgusting with mold and gunk that is so bad, it got all over the corners of the shower curtain. The bathroom area and toilet are one and seperated from the bed by only a barn door so the only privacy is visual privacy. The retro fridge is a cool feature and well stocked however, there is no card or labeling as to how much the snacks and drinks are. Upon leaving and returning to the room each day, the smell of the room was more musty and old. You can begin to see the stains in the carpet and notice the layer of dust on the light fixtures, window sill, baseboards. Etc. I would venture to say, not much gets cleaned between guests. More like a broom-swept condition. Of my 4 nights/5 days stay, I made it out to the pool on Saturday afternoon. At one point, there were 17 kids in the pool aged 10 and younger. Adults were greatly outnumbered by kids and I wondered if the hotel does resort passes? Many of the kidless adults, left. There were no pool towels and I had to ask housekeeping to bring more. It appears they don't have enough pool towels as, they brought out bath towels. The hotel restaurant and bar were fantastic! We ordered wings, salmon, Brussels sprouts and a chicken Cesar salad during our stay. We had drinks in the bar every day of our visit. The biggest selling point of this hotel is location to Texas Tech. It is visually very appealing but in the end, lackluster and overrated for what it was. I would consider staying here again perhaps, but, I would check the sheets and pillows FIRST and likely only as a last resort as the value does not meet the expectation. For over a thousand dollars for 4 nights, I expected more luxury.
Great Place, really cool vibe. Great pool area, lots of outdoor seating around the entire place. The entire property is nice, clean, and well maintained. There are large fireplaces that make me want to travel back in the fall just to experience one! The restaurant there was hit and miss, they're working out some kinks and were frequently out of menu items. Parking is a bit of an issue if you are driving as there's not much on-site parking. But they do have valet and a free parking garage a block away. Rooms are nice and we loved the decor, not fans of the barn door for the bathroom door though. The lobby could have benefited from some refreshments, even just some water sitting out for people to drink, it's hot outside! The staff super friendly and helpful. Overall it was a great stay and we will be back.
The Cotton Court is hands down the best hotel in Lubbock. So in that sense it deserves the most stars we can give. It feels very much like a hotel resort--with a beautiful courtyard and pool, a sufficient restaurant and bar. Lots of good energy at this place. We will never stay anywhere else in Lubbock if we can help it.
Parking is always a little tricky here. But they have a parking garage if you don't mind walking--or you can always valet. The restaurant is really pleasant, but I always want it to be just a little better. That said, we go there every time at some point. For a hotel restaurant it's quite good. (Breakfast at Rain, Monomyth or Brulee will be better every time. Dinner at Flippers or Dirks also better.)
I was charged $164.14 for a one night stay at Cotton Court. I was fully informed on the booking site how much the charge would be. Two days later, the hotel charged my credit card $18. When I inquired, the hotel informed me they charge a destination fee. I was never informed of this fee on the booking site and I feel deceived and I was not fully informed when agreeing to a one night stay.
Breakfast was not included.
there was an $18 facility fee that was subtracted only if you had at the restaurant.. The pet fee was outrageous at $150 per night. Will not be staying again.
This property was phenomenal!! The vibe was excellent. So much so that instead of going out, we stayed in property and enjoyed the live music and atmosphere. The staff was amazing and made us feel like we were special guests. We will be staying here every time we come to town as well as trying the new Arlington property in August.
We loved everything.
It was a convenient stop between Santa Fe and Houston. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also good.
Loved that everything is in one area. Very kind and friendly staff from front desk to housekeeping- everyone spoke to you and was welcoming. Walking distance to restaurants and the band was great.
The inside elevator was out of service and parking was bad. Had to park around the block and walk with luggage.
Nice new hotel in downtown Lubbock
The lay out of the hotel was inclusive and private to the facility. The workers were incredibly kind and helpful. Lovely courtyard/pool area adjacent to hotel and restaurant. Unique upcycled features to the room and hotel. Self or valet parking.
We loved everything, but the toilet was EXTREMELY low with no grab bars.
Fresh new hotel in downtown Lubbock with nice amenities and cheerful service. Recommend for any occasion.
Love this hotel - lots of thoughtful touches, great staff
It was comfortable, entertaining, and enjoyable. Thank you.
It was like a small resort in Lubbock.
Did not eat breakfast.
It is very clean. The lobby is welcoming and smells great. I love the decor.
I wish the shower heads had more/better water pressure. It’s my only real complaint. I’ve stayed at CC multiple times. Lubbock has such hard water and then add the trickling shower…makes one wonder if it’s the water or if you still have soap on your body.
What a cute hotel! Stayed one night while visiting Tech. Loved our room, the restaurant, and the whole vibe. Would highly recommend.
Lækkert hotel til prisen. Gode faciliteter og god restaurant tilknyttet.
Sengene er ikke særlig store.
Everything
Nice rooms! Lovely courtyard. Nice down comforter.
Parking is odd here.
Always super happy to stay here
It was super busy but just timing and staff was doing their best to manage it
I like the atmosphere, the yard set-up, especially during the evenings
The pillows were too soft, which might be preferable for others. Additionally, there's an $18 amenities fee that's not reflected in the initial price.
Nice but massive.
Not enough ice or parking this weekend.

The staff really enhanced my stay. Professional and friendly!
The pool, given the chill in the air, could have been a little warmer.
The hotel is very cool. I didn't get to enjoy a lot of the outdoor area due to this being a work trip. It was pretty, and the room was very unique. The TV was great and I enjoyed the ability to easily log into my streaming options. The ice boxes outside the room were also neat.
The shower! Mine had tons of mildew in it. The shower was also such an odd thing. The water pressure about knocked me on my butt! I was able to turn it down, but the setup was just odd. I checked with my coworker, who said the same thing. The curtain was also too long (which contributed to the mildew) and somehow billowed into the shower, sticking to me. The hotel gives you a free beer or water when you arrive, but you end up overpaying for everything else. There was a fully stocked full-sized fridge in my room with snacks, but it was all quite overpriced. That is to be expected, but still, $6 for a bottle of water was a little much. The restaurant was also quite pricy. They offer valet parking for $25, but there is ample parking directly around the building. I also would have liked an additional rug around the bed or the floor. The concrete was rough after a long day on my feet.
The fireplace is so luxurious and the ability to enjoy the grounds.
It is pretty expensive for the area, but it is worth it after days of traveling in less comfortables places.
Beautiful huge courtyard with pool and outdoor fireplaces. Perfect for West Texas. Room was large, and fully stocked. It was a very nice stay
It was perfect for my trip.
The location was great! It is an excellent hotel.
I did not like the additional "destination fee." It was not expected, and I don't think it's right to ADD a fee that you must eat in their dining facilities to get it taken off.
Enjoyed our weekend stay! Loved the extra large bathroom!! Paul R. was super helpful, as was Rachael at the front desk!🤩
Amazing welcoming staff. Clean, comfortable, safe rooms. Well equipped.
No hot tub
I travel extensively for work and all over Texas. I was very pleased with the greeting I received from the young woman at the desk. I was also very happy they had a restaurant on the property, and even more impressed they delivered my meal to my room instead of me waiting. The property is well designed and quite charming. The room is very comfortable with a full fridge stocked with a variety of beverages. The bed was very comfortable. The nice touch was the custom comforter with the hotel's name on it and the mosaic bathroom floor design. The courtyard looked inviting. If it had not been a chilly winter evening, I would have visited the outdoor courtyard. I will definitely stay here again.
The location the room and the staff
Very original
The pet fee is actually $150
Beautiful hotel and great staff
Unique atmosphere! Rooms were really comfortable. Everything you'd expect and more.
Parking situation could've been better
Breakfast was lackluster Dinner was fantasric
Homey type atmosphere
Nice area but lots of vagabonds at night
I didn’t know I was charged for checking in early until I got my bill. I would not have checked in 30 minutes early if I was going to be charged $30 extra!
Ease to get in and out
Overpriced
Fun and thoughtful decor, large room, comfortable bedding, excellent layout
Nothing really
Hands down the best hotel in Lubbock right now.
I suppose the parking situation could be better. The only issue was that we didn't have more time. We already booked a return trip for more nights in the spring!
Great location, very clean, easy parking, good food around, fun atmosphere.

A must stay in Lubbock! From the moment you walk in into the Cotton Court you are transported to a different era. Cozy fireplace, the smell of leather and cedar, black and white “art deco tile” industrial design, old fashioned refrigerators in the suite are a few of the details that are unique to this property!
La atención del personal es excepcional!
The outside firepits were a pleasant surprise for our overnight NYE stay on our holiday road trip heading home to Chicago after 13 days on the road
We booked the hotel because the in-house restaurant had live entertainment in early evening. The prices in the restaurant were outrageous
Beautiful property. Everything was groomed and in its place. The amenities were abundant and they also had a restaurant on premises.

We could not have liked this place more from the time we checked in at the front desk first of all the valet actually opened the door for us and then we checked out the front desk the person there could not be more accommodating....Daniella. the rooms are awesome and very very unique and comfortable!
The only thing we would suggest is a small night light in the bathroom that's the only thing I can think of
This hotel is really inviting and fun. They have a very nice courtyard with fireplaces and group seating areas. The pool looks nice and they keep the grounds clean. The staff came around to start all the fires. The restaurant is convenient and there are plenty of doors to access the outside areas to walk your dogs.
The only thing I didn't like was the lighting on the porches outside are bright and the light leaks through the curtains at night just a bit.
