Vores første værelse var en hule, der absolut ikke var egnet til overnatning! Der var fugtigt (70-80% luftfugtighed) på trods af at klimaanlæg og affugter kørte hele natten. Efter længere diskussion og kun ved hjælp fra en lokal fik vi et andet værelse. I det første værelse manglede TV og køleskab, som ellers skulle være udstyr i det rum, vi havde booket. Personalet i receptionen var ikke hjælpsomme eller imødekommende.

Sehr schönes Hotel in der Altstadt, freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Wir hatten den Schimmelbefall im Bad und den sich daraus entstehenden unangenehmen Geruch bemängelt und bekamen anstandslos ein (besseres) Zimmer. Frühstück ist reichhaltig.

Wir hatten ein größeres, 25qm, Standardzimmer gebucht, dieses gibt es anscheinend nicht im Hotel. Hier müsste die Kommunikation Booking.com - Hotel hinterfragt werden. Die Parksituation vor Ort ist katastrophal.

Was uns besonders gefallen hat, war die herzliche Begrüßung durch das Personal. Unsere Wünsche wurden schnellstmöglich erfüllt und es wurde stets darauf geachtet, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Der Service war jederzeit hilfsbereit und aufmerksam – wirklich alles, was wir benötigt haben, wurde sofort unterstützt. Die Sauberkeit im Hotel war ausgezeichnet. Alles war im Überfluss vorhanden, sei es Handtücher oder andere Dinge, die man braucht. Insgesamt ein sehr gutes Hotel, das ich gerne weiterempfehle.

Nichts zu bemängeln.

In terms of quality-price ratio, the hotel is good. Traditional breakfast quite rich and varied, AC, permanent hot water, the room is cleaned daily. The hotel has a terrace with a gorgeous view and very good music. The staff is the kindest and nicest I have ever seen in my entire life. Usually, Turks and Arabs are helpful but the ones at this hotel are beyond imagination.

The hotel is old and the furniture and doors are mostly broken. The AC can only be turned on from the reception and lime dust is constantly flowing from the walls which creates the impression of dirt.

Sehr schönes Boutique Hotel in einem aufwendig restaurierten alten Steinhaus. Die Lage ist super, da die Haupt-Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig erreichbar sind aber vom Lärm und Trubel man nichts mitbekommt. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und immer da wenn man es braucht. In Summe eine tolle Erfahrung.

The location was a positive and negative point. In the old city. Attractions are near by. Staf is very welcoming. Generous fruit and nuts plates were provided on the day of chick in)

Parking is like mission impossible! The old building while giving historical vibe, may be impractical in some moment (I had some old stone dust dropped in my eyes!). Our room was very very tight (205).

From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warmth that felt genuine - not just professional courtesy, but true hospitality. The staff didn’t just serve, they cared, anticipated, and made us feel not just welcomed, but truly seen.

I liked the boutique hotel concept.

Otele varır varmaz sıcak bir karşılama ve yardımseverlikle karşılaştık. Oda çok güzel ve temizdi. Çalışanlar çok içten ve yardımseverdi. Kahvaltı çok güzeldi. Konaklamamız süresince tek bir pürüzle bile karşılaşmadık. Rahatlıkla tavsiye ederim.

The staff is super friendly , they contacted me before arrival so that I would know the way to the hotel. They also upgraded me to a better and bigger room with the view of Mesopotamia.😁🙏

Vasat bir konaklamaydı. Yerin dibinde daracık bir oda verilmişti. Ölmeden mezara girmiş gibi hissettim basık ve küçücük odada. Aracınızı otoparkları olmadığı için sokağa park ediyorsunuz fakat araç park yeri ile otel arası yol yorucu çünkü merdiven ve taşlık engebeli yokuşlardan geçmek zorundasınız. Biz baya zorlandık valizlerimizi taşırken. Ayrıca daha merkezi ve otoparkı olan otel fiyatlarına göre gecelik ücretleri de çok daha yüksek kaldı. Çok daha iyi bir otelde daha az yorularak ve daha az ödeyerek kalabilirdik maalesef.

Homely, hospitable, very clean. They welcomed us with suggestions on places to visit. Their breakfast is warm & has a lot of variety. Despite being in a very old house, the building is well maintained & peaceful. I've stayed in several Mardin hotels & this is the best!

Location-wise, the hotel is a bit far from the road.

The staff is friendly and hospitable, the breakfast was superb and better even than some of the breakfasts at local restaurants. The room was very cosy they upgraded it to a bigger one without charge! overall a wonderful experience.

The location is very good - close to the center, but secluded from the crowds. The staff is very kind, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. There is a beautiful terrace with a view you can enjoy.

The room we stayed in didn't have any widows, so it felt like a cave.

Everything was great from beginning till end - hospitality on highest level, very friendly and helpful staff. We got extra tip with main attractions around which worked perfect for us (all with maps and short description) Room was very beautiful and comfortable, bathroom apart shower had huge bath - but didn’t have enough time to used it. Bed very comfy, good and very quiet AC.. Had really good sleep in this 700 years old building. From terrace amazing Mesopotamia view. Breakfast very delicious… Miss already this gem and hope to back one day again

The room 303 was a bit damp because the bathroom is deep in the old building, we had the feeling that the airconditioning couldn't handle the moist enough; new filters necessary? And advice to park the car in the street from Hükümet Cd. in the direction of the hotel, then walk a small but.

Lovely room and view, staff could not have been any friendlier. Driving a car there is almost impossible, GPS navigation takes you everywhere but the hotel. There is no parking, despite what description says. It’s free-for-all parking nearby (if one can find a spot after fighting crowded streets and traffic). Then one has to carry suitcases/belongings up stairs and through alleys to get to the hotel. Our room was very nice, but the internet/wifi did not work. Staff delivered fresh fruit plate as an apology—it was delicious, but was 11PM. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous and delicious. Old Mardin is all within walking distance and spectacular. Front desk gave us great dining and sightseeing recommendations.

Quiet hotel down an alley at the end of the main street of the old town. Like most of the houses in Mardin the hotel is on multiple different levels, so lots of steps! We had a very pleasant stay and particularly enjoyed the terrace.

Historical old mansion, that keeps the essence of Mardin. Views in the terrace are beautiful. The hotel provides a quality breakfast. The staff is generally helpful, although no English is spoken, communication is done with translator. I ask to change my room the second night and they accommodate my request. Close to hotel there is an square with free parking available.

Considering that hotel rooms are caves, humidity and cold in rooms, particularly in bathrooms can be an issue for you. The first night the gave a room which in my opinion was not suitable. Wi-fi signal may be weak at times, this is because of old stone walls and distribution of the hotel. Prices of drinks in terrace are overpriced.

It was EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND!!! It cannot be reached by car. The hotel should have told us to begin with where to part so we didn’t go down narrow roads and almost get trapped by street kids naming on our windows for money. Our first room electricity did not work and the wifi was never very good.

Location of the hotel in the city center is nice

I was given a room on the ground floor next to reception, until midnight reception staff were chatting and smoking outside my door. Maybe it was not intentional but it was a careless attitude toward their guests.

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing location. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming which made our stay even better. The rooms were very cute. everything was perfect!!!

The staff were very helpful . The hotel was at the eastern edge of the old town , far from the noise and traffic, which is great for me as I love walking .

The walkways can be very creepy and scary late in the night as one is walking in a medieval town ; keep in the right direction .

The area is nice ,a bit farther from the busy streets, but still very close and perfect for walking. This town is really nice and unique. Breakfast was great! The room and bed were comfy, nice size of the room and nice decorations. Kind staff and nice views from the terrace.

When you shower, water splashes everywhere and all bathroom is wet (curtains should be good to install). The view from the room is not exactly as on the photos, a bit different impression, but ok its marketing:) Nevertheless, the view from the terrace is nice. Water earlier in the morning can be a problem (only cold and low pressure), but this is in all old Mardin; later is all good.

Otel genel olarak gerçekten çok temizdi. Personeli güler yüzlü ve ilgiydi. Açık büfe kahvaltısı fena değil fakat pişmiş yiyecekler arttırılabilir. Minibar da sadece kahve ve çay var başka bir şey hayal etmeyin.

GPS is not correct. Drive to the end of the main street of the old town. 50 meters on the right there is a parking. At the end of the street there is a sign table of the otel. Go up the stair on the left and then towards the narrow street -50-80 meters, then a small tunnel on the right with a couple of steps and you are there :)

Amazing room and friendly staff

The accommodation was in a nicely restored historical building, with very nice rooms and a nice terrace. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very gentle, they helped us with the luggage all the way back to the car (parking is not close as the hotel is in an area which cannot be reached by car). The hotel has a very nice terrace where you can enjoy a view of the landscape, drinking tea or coffee. Definitely nice

I can't say enough good things about this place and the people who run it. Mardin is a special town and the history and peoples of the region have an unfashionably ancient history. But one thing timeless about the region and it's people, which cannot be better exemplified than truly warm and welcome reception and treatment that I received at the Fairouz Konak Otel (hotel), is the deep and genuine hospitality of the local people. What a place and what a region. There is truly nothing like it anywhere else on earth and this hotel was the perfect place to encamp after long day. To the staff, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to spend time with you all. Thank you!

My room didn't have a window and because it was right next to the reception area I was woken up every morning very early because of staff working and talking.

Super nice hotel, in the houses of Mardin. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, rich breakfast and a great view from the terrace. Super kind staff and they helped us for trips in the surrounding areas. I highly recommend it! Her șey için çok teșekkür ederiz 🤗

Poor communication. I tried to determine before we arrived the best place to park & never received a reply. I relied on past reviews to get the information about where to park. The suggested otopark had traffic jams for the 3 days we kept an eye on things so decided to leave our car in an otopark some way from the old city which required great effort to carry our bags up the near vertical hill to the hotel. Other places we have stayed in Turkey where parking is difficult have provided maps with pin drops prior to our arrival to make things easier. The economy room is fine if you are relatively short (very low doorways) and are happy to not have windows. Door could act as a window except it was literally in the service area (brooms, storage etc.) so couldn’t keep it open. There was also no curtain on the door so light streamed in from the service area until 11pm each night. Music played loudly each night until 10.30pm so we struggled to get to sleep. No information when we arrived about breakfast times or location & sat around waiting for breakfast on the terrace until we went searching and found the breakfast room 3 levels down. A nice place but needs to improve its customer service. For those reading, if driving, consider parking prior to the suggested otopark to avoid traffic snarls. Pack a single light bag to carry up to Hotel because it is hard work otherwise.

the bathroom was terrible, you would get in through the shower, the shower had a hose, that got the bathroom all wet, and has a sewer smell. very overpriced

Everything was perfect: we were welcomed with tea and biscuits, we got upgraded in a very beautiful room, the view is amazing, the hotel is very central, the breakfast was phenomenal and the staff really, really kind. Thank you thank you you made our stay in Mardin very enjoyable. We highly recommend it!

Everything. Honestly, I didn’t expect much when I arrived but I loved it so much so I extended my stay. I arrived late but the manager still answered my call and coordinated with the bus driver to pick me up. I was so happy when I arrived after a long and exhausting trip. Laundry was free. Staff were super helpful. Despite our language barrier, we managed to communicate through google translate and they provided help. Their breakfast was good too.

Wifi was very slow. Not sure if it’s because of the location.
