All food was excellent and St David was beautiful. Staff were friendly, polite and very efficient

Menu for meals a little restrictive for people with food intolerances and also a little dear!! Found the bed mattress a bit hard!

For breakfast try to bring back the noble kipper or the virtuous smoked haddock. Try to introduce laver bread somehow. Good for Wales. Good for curious tourists.

What a wonderful choice of hotel for our weekend away. Perfect location, parking, dog friendly, in fact the whole town seems to be pooch friendly. Great rooms, really nice food, super friendly and helpful staff 👌

Pretty hotel in a great location right in the centre of St Davids. Dinner was OK, and breakfast fantastic. Staff helpful and friendly. They were lovely with my disabled brother. Car parking right outside is a real bonus.

Room a bit shabby. Dinner rather disappointing and we weren't made aware of the specials on the board until after we had ordered.

We were in room 3 which is above the kitchen. Very noisy from the outset but during the night the air conditioning unit kept switching on and off. If you are offered room 3 don't take it.

The hotel is in the centre of the (smallest) city and you get great food there. Staff is very friendly and rooms are clean and beautiful. We appreciated the car park behind the premise. It's really a wonderful place to stay at.

There should be some more accessories (e.g. a place to put the soap on) in the bathroom.

This is a lovely hotel, in a fabulous location. The staff are helpful and friendly and the garden is a great feature. The bar/restaurant served good food quickly and the breakfast choices were excellent.

The extra bed in the family room was a little hard.

The staff were very friendly, very helpful and hardworking. They went the extra mile to mine and my dogs stay so enjoyable! Willow was made such a fuss of and we were made very welcome!! The hotel was clean and comfy and had excellent facilities and was central to St Davids. The food and choice of meals, especially b/fast was amazing! Iv'e booked for next year already 😃 👍

The whole experience was excellent, my room was well equipped, clean and had a good view of garden, all meals were cooked fresh and everyone kindly welcomed my very happy cocker spaniel who enjoyed treats and attention1 Breakfast was excellent all made to order and staff were all customer centric reflecting the attention to detail - thank you

Great hotel! Right in the middle of St David's with a car park. Wonderfully friendly staff with fab service. Lovely food at reasonable prices. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Friendly helpful staff, with one carrying heavy cases up stairs to our room, and reception allowing us to leave our car in the carpark for half a day while we attended a special service in the Cathedral a short walk away, our reason for being in St David's. The lady on duty in the restaurant for breakfast was especially polite, friendly and helpful to all, ensuring that we had just what we wanted from what was generously available.

This beautiful hotel is in the middle of St David's and close to the Cathedral and all facilities. We were able to park onsite. The room was very well appointed and had a large sitting area as well as an ensuite. The beds were super comfortable, the linen and the toiletries great quality. The staff were very responsive to any requests and provided information about the activities and things to see and do in the area. Well recommended and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Comfortable very clean room. Trees in front garden provide shade so front rooms stay relatively cool in heatwave. Very central location for the city sights (but bear in mind St David's is hilly.) Useful car park in a city where parking is otherwise tricky on narrow roads. Staff very helpful. Room was ready earlier than stated. Breakfast wide choice, delicious and all served quickly and well presented.

Bar stops serving at 10pm even to residents on night of prime sports fixtures i.e.England football match.

The service and staff were super helpful. The chef was brilliant. This is a superb breakfast cooked to order and the evening meal was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel restaurant. The wine selection was excellent and the location perfect. Well worth staying here.

Eating out in St David's on a Monday is quite difficult as lots of cafes are closed but we had an amazing chicken club sandwich at this hotel in their beautiful garden. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was lovely

Ontvangst, niemand aanwezig, waren allen in de pub blijkbaar..De eerste die zich aanmeldde was de barman die niet wist hoe de check in te doen, uiteindelijk daagde de bediende op..Verder alles ok!

The staff made it a wonderful stay and are the hotels greatest asset. Even in the heat being experienced they were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel is well located in the centre of St Davids. It had great outside areas with a choice of sun or shade and the garden was an absolute picture in bloom and well tended.

I stay here on a fairly regular basis when visiting St.Davids coast. Always know what I'm getting, friendly welcome, parking, lovely rooms, good food, breakfast included, excellent location.

In spite of the big price differences, we decided not to stay at a modern chain like Premier inn or Travelodge in favour of a traditional country hotel and St David's Cross seemed the doyen of the town's hotels. We were very unhappy therefore to be accommodated in one of the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in, hardly wider than the bed, with one small window at the far end made even less effective by being recessed into a 15 inch wall so that no light or air got through. One might imagine that lighting might try to compensate for that but the ceiling light was such low wattage that it was difficult to read by it. The bathroom was similarly minute. There was no tray or shelf to put soap or shampoo in the shower so it had to go on the floor but the cubicle was so small that it was almost impossible to reach the floor. The heating in the bedroom was erratic but in the bathroom it was non existent so that the towels we used on the first night were still damp on our second night. The room was supposed to be serviced but that didn't include hoovering and the sheets were just pulled up over the comb and book that had been on the bed, which we found the next night. We might have taken a more tolerant attitude if it were not, first, that the illustrations on the website showed a totally different style and size of room, which was more than misleading and, second, that this was an expensive room. At £140 per night, it was almost the same as our last stay in London. The staff at reception and the dining rooms were all exceptionally pleasant but they couldnt make up for the poor quality of the product

Very good food at breakfast and in the restaurant. Very central location and easy parking at the hotel. Comfortable bar, beer garden and sitting room with good Welsh beer. Good shower and hot water for soaking sore legs after long coastal walks. Nice to have little bottles of shower gel and handsoap rather than large containers of shampoo etc fixed to the wall.

Bedroom was quite dark and wardrobe hanging space was odd. Bathroom space for toiletries was limited but plenty of drawer space in bedroom.

Off street parking which was handy and an excellent cooked breakfast.We had lunch there too which was also excellent.We really enjoyed our 3 nights there…will definitely stay again.

The totally central location proved to be ideal for my program though I initially planned to stay at Penrhiv Priory - I could start and finish my St Davids circular walk right from the hotel and remain within a stone throw from the amazing Cathedral. I was pleased with a nice room overlooking the entrance and made a fair use of the small fridge on the floor. A comfy somewhat hard-matress bed was much appreciated.

Not the hotel's fault but the failure of the EV charger attached to the hotel's wall at the car park was annoying. Wifi worked technically but the streaming site I hoped to watch a movie from did not run under this connection.

Our stay was excellent. Everything was good and all the staff were lovely. We paid for an upgraded room which had a splendid view of the town square, was very comfortable and well worth it. The food was very good indeed. The car park can get full but there are car parks nearby and we had no trouble parking. Overall it was a really lovely experience and we would like to stay again.

What a gem! Excellent value for money very clean, lovely staff a huge choice for breakfast - all included including warm croissants that tasted as good as in France - and EV chargers - I've stayed in many hotels and guest houses for business and the value for money here is outstanding - maybe just check & change the table lampshades - they're clean but if they start looking worn when you turn light on, it let's down the room which is otherwise perfect.

Superb lunch, we loved it so much we came back for dinner!! Beautiful smoked salmon salad, steak ciabatta and even more beautiful red pepper hummus, pork bites and prawn tagliatelle. The chef is extremely talented! Reasonably priced, lovely venue and staff are delightful! Thank you, we’ll be returning!!! Xx

My wife and I plus our dear freind have just spent a fabulous long weekend there Tracy the manager and the whole old cross team were amazing 👏 I wish there was something to complain about but there's not!! Was excellent what a great experience it has been, and the chef and the new menu was sublime 👌 so well done to every member of the old cross team 😀

gorgeous interior and plenty outside space and the food was superb, im vegan and was very impressed with the soup, red pepper hummus and couscous salad highly recommended
