Nowhere to plug in hairdryer near a mirror
Very nice facility, but price at the high side
Had to get key from another sister facility, inflexible when arriving a little earlier
Fantastic location - close to St David's, easily walkable in a few minutes, close to beach also. Beautiful old house. Breakfasts were very good and the staff helpful and attentive.
Parking space was a little tight for the number of rooms, so if cars were badly parked it had a knock on effect on others hoping to park. Not being able to dine at the hotel was an inconvenience, but there were alternatives.
Everything was amazing. It's an unbelievable place.
There was nothing we didn't like.
The breakfast was exceptional. Value for money for sure. Room was amazing. Very quiet. First class staff.
Nothing
Geweldige mooie kamer.

RAS !
Luxury experience. Very comfortable.
Had to collect keys in different location in the town.
Really first class quality regarding the buildings and the rooms. Lovely decor and the whole place and gardens are well looked after.
Slight inconvenience of collecting keys from the sister hotel, but that’s all
Amazing location . Gorgeous accommodation and fantastic staff
Nothing
Beautiful property and room. Really enjoyed the continental breakfast provided.
Very difficult to unlock the door -we had to get someone out to help. Appreciate it is an historic property with an old door but this seems to happen regularly so needs to be fixed. We would have been concerned if we had stayed out late and couldn’t get in.
very functional rooms, good lighting
Lovely location and building, very well presented.
Nothing to dislike!
The breakfast was fantastic
It was in a calm and peaceful setting, beautifully restored, decorated and furnished. All facilities from the car parking to breakfast were thoughtfully chosen or laid out to provide comfort and convenience.

Luxurious and peaceful

It was a short walk into town. Peacefully quiet. Close to everything.
Nice breakfast some bolied eggs and muesli would have made it even better. Fabulous location near everything but quiet
The breakfast
Beautiful building and location - very high standard of furnishing.
We liked everything.
The room was huge and had plenty of space, lovely toiletries and bathroom etc
That it was unmanned - this we did not know until we arrived at hotel. Had we known we wouldn’t have booked it at £320 per night! Coffee machine in the room did not work and the kettle needed a good descale so didn’t use. All the internal door handles were very difficult to use. The breakfast staff were very polite and lovely but 4/5 staff just for serving tea & filter coffee was excessive for what was on offer. Advertised “with breakfast” which was not a full menu, so toast, pasties & cereal & filter coffee… Not a continental even.. what cheese there was looked sad and lonely…if you did you want anything hot it was a drive to sister hotel up the road, so hardly a break worthy of the price tag paid! When a hotel says breakfast included it should be full breakfast menu options or say so. The private patio area again as advertised was filthy and you wouldn’t want to sit out on any of the furniture as it was all really dirty
It is worth paying the extra for the full breakfast, even though it is served at a different location.
Beautiful surroundings and comfortable room/bed
Check in was a bit of a faff and finding the hotel proved a mission after a long drive…
Stunning building in a fabulous location and only 15 mins walk into St David’s. Room was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Extras such as bathrobes and slippers and a honesty bar in the main priory were a bonus
We had to pick up keys from their sister hotel and then find the property which was tucked away…. But really not a major hardship and decided to have a cooked breakfast at the sister hotel for a small amount extra the following day.
Exceptional accommodation in a secluded and comfortable environment. Continental breakfast offered on site was good, the cooked breakfast at the main hotel was excellent. A real sense of peace and tranquility. No staff on site overnight.
Breakfast served 8.30-9.30 which was an issue when we wanted an early start. Otherwise it was great.
Our room was on the top floor, a beautiful and spacious room with lovely views of the surrounding gardens in 2 directions. The continental breakfast served here was quite enough and we did not feel the need to go to the sister hotel for the full breakfast. Plus the staff serving were so lovely.
Nothing to remark on.
Fantastic gardens! Pleasant, quiet location just out of town. Walkable for most. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast.
Highly over priced. Very pleasant but not exceptional. Really heavy, awkward doors throughout. Poor fitting locks difficult to manage. Heavy handles and doors especially difficult and caused blood blister. Hopeless for those with arthritis and impossible to go to the toilet in the night without waking husband (whole floor!) Base of bed also a hazard, stubbed toe and tripped on. Strange smell.throughout.
Hotel was small but Rooms were very spacious with comfortable beds and kept clean. Very quiet location and staff friendly

Everything! Great location with secure parking. Superb rooms, large with great views and very high level of finish - bedding, toiletries etc.
Nothing really, though the Bathroom door could shut quite heavily.
As described, owner very good.
All good
Clean and spacious
Too far from centre
We loved the beautiful building and grounds. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and the breakfast excellent. The hotel is perfectly positioned just outside St David’s, in its own little green oasis, but it’s very quick to walk into town.
Nothing -it was wonderful.
Beautiful location and lovely room. The staff were all excellent.
Great vibe

Location
Had a problem with the lights flashing in the room , phoned main hotel at 11pm on a Sunday night “yes there’s a problem with the electricity in that room” Had to pack up and stay in main hotel. No apologies from staff and “snooty” manager next morning . Her response was “well your lucky you had somewhere to go and sleep otherwise you would have had to drive home “ Totally spoiled our anniversary evening, won’t be returning.
Gepflegter Garten, gut ausgestattet Zimmer
Liegt etwas ausserhalb des Dorfzentrum
la promenade le long de riviere
All great - bonus was the optional breakfast at the nearby Twr y Felin Hotel - best quality hotel breakfast we've ever experienced.
The setting. The decor. The comfort of the bed. So many helpful items were available. It was easy to drive out for an evening meal. We were going to the hotel for a full breakfast but opted for the in-house continental. It was perfect and the staff were so pleasant and efficient.
Nothing really. Maybe have some soft music at breakfast. It was deadly quiet and couples were whispering to each other!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful and perfectly located, making it easy to explore the area. Our room was modern, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a great selection of food. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
Overall very good - rooms, ambience and breakfast
Nothing!
Very welcoming staff and a lovely atmosphere. The room was very well equipped and quiet. Excellent bed and delicious breakfasts. A really good location for visiting St David's and the Pembrokeshire coast.
We love staying here! Lovely location, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
The accommodation was excellent and so clean. We could walk into the city without the hassle of parking. The staff were so helpful too.
Nothing
Lovely buiding and setting, quiet, convenient, easy parking, upgraded breakfast excellent value
Wasn't a big fan of the furniture fabric
Nice quiet location with a good spacious room
Nothing
Everything was perfect, the moment we arrived to the time we left. The staff were very professional and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
The details that made our stay enjoyable: fresh milk, coffee machine in room, lovely toiletries. Friendly and efficient staff. Arty ambiance and beautiful setting. Proximity to cathedral, bars and restaurants.
Superb room. Fittings were all exceptional.
Very clean, friendly staff
Not clear that this was a B&B as it has 'hotel' in the name. It was therefore presented as a 5* hotel, but it was a 5* B&B which has a different rating system. One of the EV chargers was also broken and we chose this hotel because of the EV charging that was available.
Quality accommodation in a quiet location.
Nothing
The standard of the room. The location
Nothing
Beautiful building in a private and pretty setting in walking distance to St Davids centre. Interior is contemporary whilst blending beautifully into a building dating back to the 1800’s. Had a fantastic night’s sleep and the breakfast was an absolute treat with freshly baked pastries served still warm and expertly prepared. The hotel has two EV charges which are complimentary for guests to use. Penrhiw Priory has ample private parking with electric gated access. We chose St Davids as the starting point to drive the coastal way up to Snowdonia, and I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff are professional and clearly very passionate and focused on delivering the best experience possible for their guests.
The building is beautiful and the food was excellent.
No cooked breakfast option, but the breakfast that was available was very good.
Lovely quiet location set in which you land but close enough to local attractions
Excellent service, cleanliness, hospitality. Rooms as described.
Breakfast was good , Cold water in fridge, Plenty of teas and coffee even offered free teas and coffee downstairs anytime. It was lovely and peaceful there
Keeping an eye on the bottles in the shower, but it wasn’t anything major.
Everything else was amazing, couldn't fault anything
Would have preferred a cooked breakfast to continental
Fantastic location, lovely staff and good communication throughout booking. Very comfortable room.
Everything was lovely!
This is our third time staying here and we still love it! Excellent facilities, very comfortable and lovely staff. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The Priory & the room were beautiful with outstanding decoration, artwork and taste
Beautiful quiet property with well maintained gardens. Room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Very good breakfast served in a beautiful dining room in the main house. Within walking distance to town and historical sites!
Excellent quality, service and comfort
Nothing
Breakfast no light pollution, the quiet, the Breakfast staff
Our room was immaculate and so spacious with a beautiful en suite and huge comfortable bed.
Continental breakfast was the only option unless you went to the sister hotel. It was nice but nothing special.
The continental breakfast was excellent. The second morning we went to their sister hotel for full English. This was very small in comparison but tasty nether the less.
Cooked breakfast in sister hotel.
Located just a short distance from St Davids set in 12 acres of grounds Penrhiw Priory is the ideal place to relax. You always get a friendly welcome, the rooms (we have stayed in 3 of them so far) are large, with a sizeable bathroom, some with bath some with shower. The breakfast is continental but is more than sufficient to start the day. They bake fresh danish pastries every day and they are to die for!! The beds are super comfy, even my husband sleeps better and he's an insomniac! If you are looking to get away from it all in stunning surroundings then this is the place, can't fault it, staff great nothing too much trouble.
Nothing
We like St. Davids and this was a short break and a return visit for us. The accommodation in a tastefully restored large Victorian house was very pleasant and was within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the town. The house had attractive well-cared for gardens around it and easy parking and access. Our room was spacious clean and comfortable. It was well appointed and was serviced while we were there. We had a splendid continental breakfast with plenty of everything. The staff were friendly and really helpful. We felt very welcome. We walked in and out of St Davids several times. The route we took went straight to the historic Bishop's Palace (CADW/English Heritage) which was a fascinating visit and St Davids Cathedral next to it. Short uphill walk into the town and pubs and shops. Two miles in the opposite direction from Penrhiw Priory gets you to Whitesands Beach and the Coastal path.
It was all good.
Stunning property
The ice machine in the bar was a little noisy from our room above
Fab old style accommadatio in a lovely woodland setting. Wonderful helpful staff.
Evening meal only available in sister hotel .
Beautiful building, great location to start hikes along the Pembrokeshire coast and to walk to the village for dinner. Room was very large and had all the amenities, but could do with a freshen up (I just dislike carpet in hotel rooms). Cooked breakfast could be booked extra, but needed to be taken at the larger sister hotel (5 minutes away by car).
Nothing.
Very Relaxing
Penrhiw Priory is in a beautiful location and historical building. We were in the 'Treetops' room which was spacious and immaculate and our favourite accommodation on our trip. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was served downstairs and was more than sufficient and very tasty. Highly recommend and would give 10/10.
The only complaint was only staying one night! We would have loved to have stayed longer but our travel plans didn't allow for it.
I couldn’t fault this hotel. The room was beautiful and equipped with a coffee machine and lots of little useful touches such as shower cap, ear plugs plus gowns and slippers. We made use of the torches by the front door, which were a thoughtful touch, as we decided to walk into the centre for food. It was only 10 minutes away, but down a dark narrow road. We both slept well in the comfortable bed and enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast in the dining room with friendly and helpful staff on hand serving fresh tea and coffee.
I really couldn’t fault this hotel and will be looking for an excuse to visit the area in the future just so we can book it again!
Luxury accommodation close to St David’s. A really nice setting and pleasant stroll into town.
We really wanted a cooked breakfast so chose the option of driving to the sister hotel. It would have been nice to stay put and be offered a simple cooked option. The continental option looked and smelled wonderful but my husband wanted egg and bacon!!
Prachtig landhuis met ruime kamers

Peace and quiet, the attention to detail and tasteful furnishings.
A little confusing in finding our room. Piano music at breakfast a little dreary not very uplifting.
Fantastisch schöne Unterkunft, grosses und sehr gemütliches Zimmer, wunderschöne Liegenschaft, supernettes Personal. Gutes, reichhaltiges Continental Breakfast. Sehr empfehlenswert.
Very professional - clearly a “sister” of the main hotel. Excellent facilities. Although breakfast on offer was only continental, there was an extensive choice of good quality produce.
It was advertised as a 20-minute walk to the main hotel where we ate an excellent meal one evening - however, the walk was up/down hills along a narrow and wooded lane - not an attractive proposition on a wet night (similar walking into St David’s).
The property was so beautiful and clean and it was close to the town. We don’t have a car so it was a 10-15 min walk to town every day which was perfect. The building itself was beautiful and we saw rabbits running around several times and it was so peaceful and quiet… The breakfast was lovely and well presented. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Everything about the place was beautiful…. When we arrived we had a card and a box of fudge in our room welcoming us as well which was a lovely little touch. Would definitely stay again!
There were only two things that we found to be an issue which we told the staff on departure as well. As we didn’t have a car it was very awkward to have to pick keys up from the other site first. We had just travelled 7 hours by train, got a 25 min taxi, picked up the keys and then walked 20 mins to the hotel. It was a step that felt unnecessary as we felt like it was something that could have been done at the hotel itself as it was only collecting the key. The other site was beautiful and very friendly staff again and I’m sure it’s easier for those with a car as it is a 5 min drive. It was just that slight inconvenience especially after such a long day of travel and having so many bags, we just wanted to get to the hotel and relax! The second thing was we missed the full Welsh breakfast! The continental was beautiful but we love our full breakfasts and it was an extra £5 per person which isn’t a lot but we spent a lot on the hotel and we thought it would be included as we’ve stayed at ones cheaper which provided it. I believe the full breakfast was at the other hotel again we believe so we would have had to travel there to get it. So it just was a shame as these two things were the only reason it didn’t get a 5* review.
We loved the room and the beautiful building. The staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble. Nice continental breakfast.
Pleasant place, quiet but near city. Good breakfast and helpful staff
Bit dark in room
The priory is in a beautiful setting, a short walk into St David’s and is an old house converted into rooms. The features are beautifully kept, but all modernised. Super clean, friendly staff, amazing breakfast. Rarely do I say these things but genuinely impressed. They went above and beyond
The character of the building- set in lovely grounds . It was quiet. The room was comfortable and well laid out. With everything we needed
Nothing
Beautiful and welcoming comfy bed fabulous shower beautiful decor the continental breakfast was outstanding and the staff were amazing
There was nothing we didn’t like
Peaceful location with wonderful service .
Check in at sister hotel .
Peaceful. Staff that treated one respectfully and attentively.
A tiny point, but it may help in future if creating new rooms- the lighting was very off, series of weak spot lights in a high ceiling, only one bedside light for a large double bed, and the shade for that was in the main not shading, therefore dazzling on the eye, as one went about the rooms. The worst was the bathroom mirror with strips of light around it, one could hardly see one’s self for light splay. In addition it was almost painfully bright. We tried to switch it off, but this couldn’t be done unless the entire bathroom lights were out. The lighting wasn’t well done, and probably designed by someone that doesn’t have to spend time in that room. I’m only saying to give feedback as requested. Thank you
