Sonder at The Liberty

Le personnel a vraiment été super gentil avec nous. Appartement très propre, très bien situé.

Pas assez d’explication pour trouver l’appartement dans l’immeuble, c’est un peu un labyrinthe.

Sehr ruhig,sauber und sehr gute Anbindung in die Stadt.Ein paar Stationen mit dem Bus 503 und man ist mitten im Geschehen. Gerne wieder.

There was no power in the bedrooms when I arrived late. had to call multiple people to help. Someone nailed something into the wall where i was sleeping for 4 hours from 8am to 11. It was AWFUL. I was trying to rest before a long travel day. NOT something that anyone ever wants to hear when staying at a "hotel"

It was just a lost department. Furnishings were new not much else to say

We stayed in an apartment; it was a really nice apartment, with 3 bedrooms and a good kitchen. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful.

We could have used some wine glasses and a bit more cutlery.

Lolcation within Liberty Village was fine, The grocery store was handy to buy meals and other supplies.

The car parking arrangements were quite confusing, but if you follow the instructions exactly, they work.

Leider hatten wir gehofft wir wären ein paar Stockwerke höher.

Superbe appartement bien agencé, bien décoré et avec tout le confort nécessaire. La vue sur la ville, de nuit, c'est incroyable.

We were informed on site of parking but our first time navigating in the city. Parked down the street and realized where to go after parking in another area. Maybe more details on parking needed

Building is a little confusing on the inside in terms of navigating getting to the room as there are various corridors/ long walk from entrance to the room. However once you know the way it is ok.

Appartement super au 17e étage, trés fonctionnel avec 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains Une superette se trouve au rdc dans le meme bâtiment. Parking sur place payant 40cad/nuit, tres pratique!

It was in a Good location to get to most places in Toronto, Facilities in the building were good and easy to access Size of the apartment was good

The apartment was not very clean. Rugs were dirty, as were the floors. There was also a false fire alarm at 2:30 in the morning that ruined our already jet lagged sleep. But worst of all unfortunately other guests not on Sonder floor had pets and there were 2 occasions where we were leaving/returning that there was a lot of dog mess in the hallways. Would not stay here again based on this.

Apartments are in an excellent location. Liberty Village has a lot going on and it well-connected for getting into the city centre. Apartments are clean, spacious and quiet. Staff are excellent. Everyone is super-friendly - especially Malek, who goes above an beyond. Lovely guy! I was travelling alone, and it was a great experience.

The location was good & size of apartment was good. Washer & dryer were good too. Kitchen area great. Two bathrooms.

Property hadn’t been serviced when we checked in - previous occupants rubbish, sheets & towels were still there. Staff did rectify this as soon as possible. Bed was also quite small & awkwardly against a wall - makes it difficult for couples, especially when one needs a CPAP machine. No overhead lights in bedroom either, only lamps. Says on booking.com there’s parking on site but there really isn’t - big parking lot about 200m away behind sports oval.

It was a little confusing trying to find tower a in the parking garage and had a hard time finding our way around the building but once we figured it out it was easy and we enjoyed ourselves

Location was excellent for access to the city centre. Liberty village is great for bars and restaurants. The city itself is easy to get to by trolley car or bus.

Since discovering Sonder, it’s where I always book for my events in Toronto and Ottawa. The apartments are comfortable, well equipped and located within walking distance to my venues. In this case, I was working an event at the Enercare Centre. It’s an easy walk back and forth daily. I ended each long day on my feet with a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the soccer fields, with the CN Tower in the distance. Simply ideal!

Parking can be an issue, but for me, the event offered exhibitor parking at the Enercare. If you were coming for leisure, you’d need to look into parking options.

A few more utensils in kitchen and better lighting would have made it perfect

It’s a modern apartment on the 7th storey of a newer building in the Liberty Village neighbourhood of Toronto. Nice clean space, full kitchen with good appliances and really good knives, pots and pans, flatware…the sorts of things that are often second rate in Airbnbs and this is a good reason to choose Sonder over that company. Wifi is excellent. Neighbourhood is diverting, lots and lots of diverse dining options, an urban gem.

Things outside of Sonder’s control: the security is overkill and annoying. Having to enter a seven digit passcode three times every time you enter the building on these waist height keypads is frustrating. The building is WAY west of most things tourists will want to visit in Toronto and nowhere near the subway. Things inside their control: the bed isn’t comfortable. Mattress is bizarrely “crunchy” and sheets are this uncomfortable puzzle you’re fighting with all night. Sheets and pillowcases both slippery and cheap feeling. A good bed is a must and Sonder cheaped out. A mirror near the entry would be great too.

Self-catering. Very convenient for grocery supermarket and drug store, where TTC passes could be bought. Excellent views (17th floor), secure access, easy to follow instructions for access to building and apartment. Quieter since not right in centre of the city, but convenient for streetcar into centre. All facilities provided in the apartment – cutlery, crockery, towels, toiletries etc. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again if revisiting Toronto.

Very minor point, but no direct plug-in for USB cables – you need to bring your own adapters. A little construction noise from next to the railroad, but nothing that would disturb your sleep.

Loved the balcony and view of downtown at night. The apartments are located on top of a grocery store, and central to so many restaurants, so food was convenient and various. There is a dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, and normal kitchen appliances in the unit. It is also located about a ten minute walk from the train station. Be aware that parking is an extra $35 dollars a night. Expensive parking, but there is little to no street parking in Toronto. If I didn't have to drive there, I wouldve flown in and taken the metro to the apt. Loved it, great place to stay!

The only downside (and wasn't a huge deal) for me was that the building is also located on top of a day care or school, so during weekdays, there were kids screaming on the playground right outside the balcony.

Die Lage mit der Straßenbahn vor der Haustür, gute Erreichbarkeit vom Kundenservice, Wohnung sauber und zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Der Ausblick vom Bett auf die Innenstadt war sehr außergewöhnlich. Gepäckaufbewahrung einfach und zuverlässig (wenn genug Schränke verfügbar sind).

Man muss sich erstmal zurechtfinden mit den verschiedenen Towers und der Beschilderung, an jeder Tür nochmal neu den Code eingeben. Sogar auf den Balkons ist Rauchverbot, aber nicht alle Nachbarn halten sich daran. Ich hatte 2 Aufenthalte im Abstand von einigen Tagen gebucht und es war nicht möglich, diese Aufenthalte in der App in Einklang zu bringen, sondern ich musste mich jeweils separat für die Buchungen einloggen.

Super easy check in, spacious apartment, comfortable bed, full bathroom, clean linens. We loved our stay! The location was perfect for what we needed, and to get into downtown it's a short 10-20 min Uber depending on traffic.

My stay here was perfect. The apartment had everything we needed. The roof top swimming pool had the most beautiful view, with the view of the CN tower. The Sonder App was a really cool and efficient feature, had all the information we needed during our stay and a 24hr chat box incase we needed to talk to staff. There is a supermarket/pharmacy just downstairs which came in handy and was convenient.

Poor lighting in the room and water pressure in the shower was not great. I did not really look forward to shower time.

Was a nice clean space close to our venue

We asked for a second bed or a cot, and we did not receive. We got a playpen for a child instead which was not what we wanted.

Das Bett ist extrem bequem!! Die Lage ist super, direkt vor der Tür ein Supermarkt und die Bahn. Die Zimmergrösse ist auch sehr gut. Zimmer war sauber. Waschmaschiene und Tumbler im Zimmer (waren sauber und ohne Geruch:)).

Wir hatten zuerst ein anderes Zimmer, was sehr nach Zigarettenrauch stank. Wir konnten dann wechseln. Leider war es nicht ganz so einfach, man kann mit den Mitarbeitern vom Sonder nur per Chat kommunizieren, und wir hingen dann in dem anderen Appartment fest, bis jemand geantwortet hat. Auch das Parken ist komplizierter als gedacht, auch da haben wir auf länger auf Antworten gewartet. Schade, ist nie eine Lobby besetzt. Kein Reinigungsservice.

Clean, spacious and secure property. The fact that basic provisions were provided was appreciated (dishwasher tablets, washing powder, tea, coffee, etc).

No chest of drawers in the master bedroom, not ideal but not a huge problem.

Appartement spacieux, pratique (2 salles de bain, 1 petite cuisine, une machine à laver et sécheuse). Proche du tramway, du train et de commerces et restaurants. La piscine sur le toit a une vue incroyable.

La VMC ne fonctionnait pas dans les deux salles de bain donc difficile de fermer les portes qui ont du gonfler avec l'humidité ? Le passage des trains au pied de l'immeuble est très bruyant. Les instructions pour le parking ont été très difficile à obtenir.

This was so much better than a one room hotel room. It was very clean, well appointed, and had a great floor plan. Liberty Village is a great home base when you visit Toronto.

I've read others complain about the sheets when I was researching this property. I can't say they were complaining about nothing. The sheets were not very nice, but for me it is a very minor issue.

Mooi appartement met 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers, volledige keuken en leuke zithoek. Openbaar vervoer stopt voor de deur richting het centrum en er staan deelfietsen op 3 locaties in de buurt. Supermarkt beneden. Zwembad is prachtig.

Viel niet tegen, maar een iets betere uitleg om de eerste keer op je kamer te komen is wel handig. Bed in één van de slaapkamers kraakte, maar dat waren ook echt de enige opmerkingen. Verder helemaal fantastisch.

The hassle at the beginning getting the access codes and not being able to access the toilets at the pool.

Good location. Twenty five minutes from the airport. There is a supermarket in the same block and you can get the tram just outside which took us to all the attractions we wanted to visit. Nice to have a pool available for use too. Can recommend Nani's gelateria which is a 5 min walk away.

Excellent location for what we needed especially as transportation was accessible to all the places we wanted to visit. Ideal location for those visiting for carnival.

We had a problem in the property. It was difficult in contacting customer service for help. We had to approach the cleaning staff who were excellent and sorted the problem for us.

Very convenient location very near a metro station and just a few steps away from the tram. Although quite far from Union Station, it’s in a quiet part of the city with close proximity to a lot of restaurants.

The apartment was in need of routine maintenance. Sofa was saggy and stained. Bathroom sink was cracked. The bead chain that opens/closes the window shade broke with the shade blocking access to the balcony (but was repaired promptly). The Sonder app didn't link to our stay or function as a door key as it should have. The apartment was more compact than our expectations. We were expecting a more up-market experience, but it was very basic. View of railroad tracks from 17th floor didn't correspond to an expectation of cityscapes. The hallways that needed to be traversed to get to the elevator were very, very long and tiring.

Mooi appartement in een groot complex. Alles was schoon, prima badkamer. Apart zitgedeelte met keuken. Tram stopt voor de door een in 25 min ben je in downtown.

What a convoluted way to find the room. The fake wood flooring is peeling and could pose a tripping hazard. The access codes you sent me didn't work and had to be reset. Couldn't figure out hoe to sit on the balcony.

I love that it overseas downtown and can easily see the CN tower. It was close to downtown, getting from point to another was pretty easy and many close by restaurants and markets.

The view it provided to downtown Toronto. It was a dream waking every morning to that view, and watching the sun rise and set.
