Cool place - great bar on site. Location UNBELIEVABLE - in the best part of Toronto and easy access for public transport. Rooms real nice, staff so friendly.

They do seem to have frequent events on nut it didn’t bother us.

Great location- events on site like trivia and a dance party and bbq on an outside patio all really plus. Also the food is really good and so are the drinks.

The room was exceptionally small, breakfast not included, many items were broken (the pack and play in the room was broken, the wireless light in the room was dead, the makeup mirror didn’t stay up on its own). For the price of this hotel the experience didn’t match. It was very overpriced and the rooms are really tiny.

Excellent walkable location and nice rooms with quirky/fun designs. The bed was comfy and despite a restaurant downstairs we didn't experience any noise bleed. Clean and well appointed room.

The Drake Hotel is such a vibe! A really nice, boutique atmosphere with a great bar (which even has a happy hour) and the interior design is just gorgeous. The room was a great size. Our room had one of those 'integrated bathrooms' where the shower is in the room with a privacy screen - fine for couples but just a heads up for friends sharing!

My friend Sabrina and I had a wonderful brunch today at the Drake Hotel's Sky Yard. We shared the eggs Benedict, the chicken and waffles, and Hugo Spritzes, and everything was delicious. What truly made our visit special, though, was our server, Kai. He was attentive from start to finish, offering great recommendations on menu options and drinks without ever being overbearing. Since it was hot out and we were sitting outside, he steered us away from a traditional espresso martini and instead suggested a cool, refreshing mix with espresso of course . he had the bartender put together, which turned out to be a great call. Sabrina also enjoyed her sangria. What stood out most was how far Kai went beyond the basics. When our umbrella broke, he immediately brought out a replacement so we could stay comfortable. He also took the time to chat with us and made the whole experience feel personal and unhurried. It is rare to find service this thoughtful, and it turned a nice brunch into a memorable one. Sabrina and I both agreed we will be back, and we will be requesting Kai every time. Highly recommend the Sky Yard for a relaxed, well-served brunch with a view.

He asked me so many questions about my brother and made me feel like he was here with us. I’m getting emotional as I write this because I’ve never felt so loved by a server. Me and my girlfriend went to a drag show and it was AMAZING!! And the service was on par with the drag show!! Our server was Kai and he was AMAZING and treated us like royalty!! Do yourself a favor and ask for Kai at the Drake Hotel.

The drag queen show was amazing. We sang the whole time. We loved every minute of it. Kai was one of the best servers. He was very attentive and super helpful. We will definitely come back again.

The Drake Hotel is one of my favourite places to stay when downtown Toronto. The rooms are stylish, thoughtfully designed, fun, and incredibly comfortable, striking the perfect balance between boutique charm and modern luxury. Beds are more firm than plush but offer a good nights rest. The front desk team made the experience even better with their warm, welcoming, and efficient service from check-in to departure. They really care and go above and beyond! They truly made me feel at home. Finally, the location is unbeatable even though it’s not in the “heart of the downtown”. Situated in the heart of Queen West, you're within walking distance of some of Toronto's best restaurants, cafes, galleries, boutiques, and nightlife / bars and clubs, making it the perfect base for exploring the city with friends or a night cap after a long day of work! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend The Drake Hotel for anyone looking for a unique and memorable Toronto experience in a smaller boutique like property.

We had a wonderful experience at the Drake hotel during drag brunch but the best part of that experience was our server Kai. Kai was absolutely amazing and made sure that our experience was flawless!! If we could give Kai 10/10 we would…. To bad we can only rate it out of 5 so 10/5 for the drake hotel and KAI!

The hotel staff was friendly, which is always a plus. I appreciated the complimentary water provided in a clear glass bottle in the room. One downside was the TV setup. Guests are required to cast content from their phones, and for a hotel positioned as luxurious, I expected a Smart TV with built-in streaming apps available for use. I was also disappointed that the room did not include bar soap or a loofah. The surrounding area felt fairly quiet during the week, with limited activity nearby. Additionally, the hotel was not as close to Downtown Toronto as I had hoped, making it a bit less convenient for exploring the city.

From the moment we booked, Ashley went over and above to help organize our hotel stay and our New Year’s party experience, making everything feel seamless and personalized. Ashley was not only extremely professional and accommodating, but also genuinely warm and welcoming. She took the time to recommend some Toronto attractions and experiences for us to enjoy during our stay which made our trip even more memorable. Even after our visit, she has continued staying in touch with us regarding future days and upcoming event events at the hotel – which speaks volumes about the level of hospitality and care provide provided by the Drake team. One thing that really stood out was how Ashley personally introduced my partner and me by name to other staff members while we were enjoying the sky yard bar. That thoughtful touch made us feel so welcomed, and we were taken care of throughout the evening and the staff were so fun! Overall, the atmosphere service and attention to detail at the Drake are truly unmatched. We’re already planning our return this summer and can’t wait to be back. Absolutely loved my stay at The Drake Hotel while I was visiting Toronto. I loved the bold and colorful design of both the lobby, restaurant and rooms. It had such a fun vibe the staff were incredibly friendly. I had breakfast each morning in the restaurant and while the menu wasn't extensive it was delicious. Would definitely come back here next time I am in Toronto.

We received so many compliments about the party. Some said it was the best celebration they ever attended. I can't thank the staff enough. There was so much attention to detail, so much assistance, and so many external recommendations (TO Balloons, Bobbette and Belle birthday cake) that just finished the night off perfectly. We just went for Mother's Day Brunch and Kia our server was what made the experience. That was on a base of outstanding food, cleverly crafted cocktails and old school vinyl dj tunes throughout the day.

We had a one-night stopover en route from Vancouver to the UK. Hoping for a good night of sleep before the overnight flight to the UK in cramped airplane seats. We reserved a regular room. At check-in they told us we'd been 'upgraded' to a 'studio' room. Great! They didn't bother to mention that the new room was directly over the entrance to the Drake Underground dance club, on a Friday night. As a result, every time anyone came in or out of the main floor entrance directly under our room, we heard the door bang shut (it actually bangs three or four times each time someone goes in or out). And the place was bumpin'. Music pulsed and exuberant (loud) partyers came and went up 'til closing at 2 a.m., when all the club-goers poured out onto the sidewalk directly below our window. Let's just say some folks in the crowd were still feeling energetic. I'm glad they were having a nice time. For us, it sucked hard, and no one at the hotel had felt it was important to warn us of this. Sleep was not a realistic possibility. Otherwise the place was cute, interesting decor, appealing from an aesthetic perspective, etc. All positive qualities were far outweighed by the terrible night of sleep, which kind of is the whole point of a hotel room: a place to sleep. For me at least.

I went to the Drake to get some drinks and wow was I blown away with the amazing service from Kai. They were super knowledgeable about all the wine and food. Made my experience a 5 stars. It was very elevated experience.

Location. Staff. Clean.

Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Strange step up to the shower, toilet and sink. Controls for the sink were on the wall and wierd to use.

i enjoyed my stay very much. the staff was excellent. the room was a bit small but very comfy, cozy, smartly appointed, and clean.

If only I could decorate my house with how cute The Drake decorated their rooms. It’s funky and in a great neighborhood. I was there for a craft workshop and it was so nice to come back every evening to my room. The bathroom is small but that’s fine. The staff at the desk is so lovely and it’s always nice when you’re greeted after day one by your name. Awesome job The Drake - I will be returning.

I hardly know what to stay. I was in the classic suite for 2 weeks, and loved every second of it. Strong menu, comfortable bed, lots of towels, quick room service, outstanding attentiveness & friendliness from every single member of the hotel team, top to bottom. Despite all the excitement often going on in the popular lounge and restaurant areas, the room was very quiet. I have never enjoyed a hotel experience more. This was a combined business, medical, family & friends visit.

Its a nice hotel, very conveniently located in a great area. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I would expect a bit more in terms of the amenities and communication.

I came to Toronto for a concert and stayed at the Drake. I wanted to like it since the location was super convenient, the neighborhood was nice, and the interior design was really cute. However, the worst part of the whole thing was the fact the doors on the bathroom were just sliding glass doors that didn't even close up fully and there were mirrors everywhere so that someone in the bed can see fully into the bathroom area. It was extremely uncomfortable and I had to make my partner wait outside the hotel room at one point so I could do my business because, well, you could hear everything. I don't think I would stay here again until they put actual thick doors up.

The hotel was entirely adequate. If the price point had been Entirely Adequate, I would have been 100% satisfied. But the price point was Higher Expectations and so I was disappointed. For example, there was a lovely coffee maker, and lovely coffee pods. But no tea bags! Each night we asked at the front desk for tea bags for the next morning and each desk clerk had a different response. For another example, there is no chest of drawers in the room so my socks & undies had to live in my suitcase for the week instead of getting unpacked. I will say I liked the decor and style. There is no closet per se, but knobs and hangers placed around the room for hanging up clothes. There's interesting abstract design wallpaper instead of conventional boring off-white paint.

As this establishment was a respectable run/walk distance from Budapest Park (where they hold a parkrun every Saturday), my wife and I opted for this hotel and combine our stay by spending a few days in Toronto … and we were not disappointed. Although we arrived by train and Google Maps indicated that it would take 35 min. to get to the hotel by transit (or 55 min. walk), it took us just over 20 min. to get there as public transportation is very efficient. The hotel was also conveniently located to cafes, restaurants and brewpubs. We booked a classic queen room and upon our arrival, we were told that we received a complimentary upgrade … but we unfortunately didn’t see any difference with what we originally booked. Although the room was small, it was comfortable and provided everything we needed. The only disappointment was that despite we booked for two, the room only provided for one person (i.e. one chair, one face cloth, etc.). But this was fixed promptly as the staff on site are courteous, welcoming and very efficient. Just note that although a mini fridge is provided, it contains pop and juice for sale … same goes for a drawer of munchies, wine, water, coffee, slippers, bath robe, plush toy, etc. The only other drawback is that there were no hooks to hang clothing in the room (we made use of the ironing board). Beds are comfortable but weekends tend to be busier. So be warned that you may feel the base of the music from the underground and guests going back to their rooms during the night. The restaurant was an interesting visit as they have themed nights and the food was excellent. Will certainly consider returning to this establishment.

What a stunning space. It's nicer than any Toronto apartment, haha. I was staying just one person whereas this suite can fit two people or two couples since there are two beds and two bathrooms. The kitchenette is a VIBE. I felt just like Kevin in Home Alone 2 when he stays at the Plaza!

Great stay and great service - couldn’t do enough for us!

It's a fun place, but needs a little updating. The on premise bar is great, and the bartender, Marc, is phenomenal. The reception was great too, and Deekshi was a standout and very helpful. The food is decent, but used to be better. The rooms are nice, if a little small. The Drake used to be at the vanguard of boutique hotels. I hope they make some updates to bring it back to that level.

The thing housing the Keurig pods promised 'milk & cream' in the fridge" but the only options were powdered Coffee Mate envelopes. No mile or cream in the fridge. Didn't love that. The tablet in the room didn't work so for Guest Services I sent a text message requesting room service. I had to sent a prompt about 45 mins later to the suggested number provided in my check in package. Overall the room was very clean and the bedding was comfortable but the level of service I was expecting did not meet my expectations, given the rate.

Girl, get your ass to the drag brunch at the Drake. I can’t scream enough good things. Shout out to our wonderful, very patient, server, Kai. They were on a par with the entertainment, led by Miss Moco. Such a romp! See you soon.

First time at the Drake and I really enjoyed my stay. Queen room, was cozy, clean and comfortable. Good restaurant downstairs, helpful waiters, a popular place with an excellent bar, and a fun trivia night while I was there. A shout out to manager Nazmi Erdogan, who treated me well. Organizers of the conference I attended assured me that they'd booked my room at the Drake but they had not. Mr. Erdogan found a room for me (the last one in the house) had my bags taken up and honored the conference group rate though he had no obligation to do so. Very professional and gracious. Thank you Nazmi.

Do not go where the path may lead, instead, blaze a trail, and leave your own path. Simple words that describe how The Drake has lead the way since the start of this century.

Our room must have been under renovation (painting the ceiling). The smoke detector was covered with plastic and painters tape, there was dust settled on most surfaces and when our heater was turned on dust sprayed out. We didn't notice any of this when we arrived as we were there for a wedding and dropped our stuff off and went to the wedding and came back late to sleep. We noticed this all in the morning, I'm sure the staff would have addressed if we had time to bring it up, but it's not acceptable for a room that we paid such a large amount of money for. In reality it never should have been turned over a to guest in this condition. It all appeared to be fresh dust from the panting (my assumption), so I wouldn't say it was a sign of ongoing long term cleanliness issues. Brunch was great, location was perfect for the wedding.

Really the best experience in service and accommodation. Tino and Liza were above and beyond several times during my 10 day stay. I highly recommend The Drake and take the time to experience the music venue and restaurant on the premises . The food was excellent!

my friends and I went to the Drake for a breakfast but unfortunately the drag breakfast was sold out but Ryder and Morgan were sweet enough to let us walk down and see a few sets before it ended. On top of that they gave us a coupon for the Photo Booth because we didn’t have any Canadian money on us. The drag queens shouted out our bride and even gave us complimentary shots since all the shows that day were already sold out. I highly recommend this place and especially the staff here. They are the sweetest souls and our bride had the best time ever. Thank you Thank you!!

Recently had a very enjoyable visit to the Drake Hotel in Toronto. I had the opportunity to tour the impressive rooftop terrace suite — even the guest corridor hallways are well-designed with great views. The SkyBar was a particular highlight. I enjoyed cocktails & bites accompanied by exceptional service from Adam, one of the bartenders. He was attentive, charming and very friendly. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was both cozy and comfortable. It is truly a wonderful and fun place!

Such an amazing experience at the Drake hotel! My partner and I hosted our engagement party in the sky yard, and we were blown away! The decor and vibes were amazing and it’s all thanks to the amazing staff. Faegen the event coordinator made it such an easy process to plan and went above and beyond my expectations. My server + bartender duo were Virna and Angelina who also did an amazing job. I would 100% recommend if you’re thinking of planning an event here.

My wife and I got married in the Drake Hotel's Owner's Suite and it was an absolutely incredible experience! The staff were with us all day helping to set up, organize, and assist with our guests. In addition to the day-of, the staff were in contact with us to help plan everything for months. We had the ceremony on the balcony and a cocktail reception with passed canapes in the suite, followed by a dinner in the cafe downstairs. The staff put all this together, and dealt with getting everyone from space-to-space seamlessly, all while making it look effortless. It's really special to be able to say that even the setting-up part of our wedding was fun! We could not have asked for a more stress-free experience, and it was all due to the world-class hospitality staff at the Drake. Huge shoutout to our event-coordinator, Faegen. Without her this dream wedding couldn't have happened. Also, shoutout to Virna, our lead server for the evening, and our bar team of Marc and Juan were all a joy, and instrumental to the success of our wedding. In addition to the service, the food and the drinks were incredible - our guests were blown away by the quality. Last but not least, the Owner's Suite is the most unique and beautiful hotel room we have ever had the privilege of staying in. It is enormous, boasts an incredible view, and is adorned with unique art. Not to mention it is filled with every amenity you could want. We can't say thank you enough to this team!

I only went to an event an it was packed all over the hotel. Poorly planned, barely any staff, and just a mess with long wait times and barely any cleaning. Glasses were on the floor

The service agent Constantino was exceptional. He helped us get situated and was able to check us into our room early, directed us where to go eat and made our check-in very easy.

We went to brunch on December 13th served by Kai. The service was wonderful, the show was fantastic! I have been to brunch many times and it never disappoints !!

My partner and I were visiting from out of town and had the most incredible date night at The Drake during half-price steak night. The steak was outstanding, but what truly made the evening unforgettable was the exceptional service from our server, Kai. Kai was warm, hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and offered thoughtful recommendations that made us feel genuinely taken care of. Their energy and attention to detail elevated the entire experience and turned a great dinner into a truly special night. We cannot wait to come back!

My friend and I have been dying to try the drake hotels brunch for quite some time now, and let me tell you this place did NOT disappoint!! The atmosphere and design of the space brings a certain upbeat lavish energy, while the food would cure any sunday scaries youre feeling. I had probably the best scones of my life here (pictured). Stepou was taking care of us and did an amazing job. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

We had an absolute blast staying at the Drake. We stayed in one of the suites (stunning) for a special occasion, hosted a dinner for 30 in the cafe, and ate at the cafe and main restaurant throughout the weekend. The service was excellent, especially for the private dinner. Want to shout out all the staff!
