We stayed at Aqua Blu for 4 nights, and it was an absolute dream! Let's start with the staff: Despina, Marko, and Venta are amazing people who went above and beyond to take care of us. My partner is celiac and diabetic, and after we mentioned this in our booking, they arranged suitable food for her (gluten-free bread, sugar-free jam, and more) before we even arrived. Everything was handled with so much care and understanding. The hotel facilities are stunning, and our room was exceptionally clean. The design is beautiful, cozy, and of high quality, you can really feel the thought put into every little detail. Location-wise, the hotel is just a 3-minute walk from a great beach for watching the sunset, and about a 7-minute drive to Hersonissos and other nearby beaches. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for a perfect vacation!

Kleineres Boutique Hotel, modern ausgestattet und nettes Personal. Insgesamt sehr entspannt mit nur wenigen Zimmern und Gästen. Liegen zum Beispiel daher immer verfügbar. Nette Bar direkt am Pool. Preise insgesamt sehr fair. Personal sehr zuvorkommend.

Etwas abseits gelegen aber dafür ruhig. Leider ab ca. 10 Uhr keine Getränke mehr, aber war kein Problem.

Marco was exceptional, told us everything we needed to know about what to do around the area and made the best strawberry mojitos

It is very far away from the center , even to get taxis . We weren’t able to get taxis through bolt , we had to walk about 8-10 minutes to an intersection to get anybody to come pick us up and the breakfast was okay , but mostly cheap supermarket items

The stay was very pleasant. The room was neat and clean, the scenery was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was super friendly. The bartender's wine was very delicious. I recommend Pinacolada. Everything here makes our trip easy and happy.

Tento malý butikový hotel kúsok od pláže prekonal všetky naše očakávania a pobyt tu sme si veľmi užili. Dokonalá oáza pokoja, veľmi dobré raňajky aj servis v bare pri bazéne. Pani majiteľka aj všetci zamestnanci boli úplne skvelí, vo všetkom nápomocní a dali nám skvelé tipy na výlety a reštaurácie. Výhodou bolo tiež bezproblémové parkovanie. Skvelé miesto na oddych a relax.

Lovely boutique hotel. Great staff, good breakfast, plenty of choice. Special mention for Marko, great barman and good for local knowledge/advice. Plenty of sunbeds and comfy. Breakfast is waitress served. Quiet, low level music from bar area which was acceptable. Short walk (5min) to beach (turn left at end for sandy beach and sunbeds. Some sunbeds free if you buy food/drink at associated bar/restaurant, otherwise circa 15 euro for brolly/2 sunbeds.

Pool was cool if not cold, only went in once. Steps into pool need a handrail, we are both mid 70's but observing other guests a handrail would have been a good improvement. Also pool slopes away quickly to 1.6m depth. Breakfast has to be ordered the night before which not a big issue. The sun shades are fixed in place, which while lending a good look to the pool area does not make it easy to get good shade morning and afternoon. Location is fair, quite a few unfinished buildings about (not unusual for Greece generally) plus some construction work nearby but not at all noisy.

Sehr zu empfehlen! Die Ruhe, die Atmosphäre und die sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter!!! Uns hat das kleine "Adults Only" Hotel, sehr gut gefallen! Wir haben sogar ein geniales Zimmer up-grade mit kleinem Whirlpool im 1. Stock bekommen und haben es sehr genossen. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und können es nur weiterempfehlen. Das Frühstück wird jeden Tag frisch und individuell serviert. (Frühstückszettel dazu ausfüllen) Der Pool ist wunderbar und die Liegen sehr bequem. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen! Top! (Für an den Strand braucht man kein Auto, aber für das Dorf Chersonisos schon, oder man nimmt ein Taxi)

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt, es ist sehr ruhig also zum erholen der perfekte Ort. Die Zimmer sind alle mit Balkon ausgestattet, ich hatte eines mit Sonnenuntergang :-) Schade fand ich dass es kein Gym gab aber man kann zu Fuss sehr viele Strände abklappern und findet viele versteckte Juwelen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und herzlich. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit jedem empfehlen und wieder buchen.

This was our first time visiting Crete, and from the moment we arrived at Aqua Blu, we were absolutely thrilled. The hotel is stunning — aesthetically beautiful, peaceful, and located in a quiet area that gave us the perfect opportunity to truly relax without any outside noise. Even though there were other guests, the atmosphere around the pool and bar was always calm and serene, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We were warmly greeted by Marko, who is such a lovely and genuine person. He was always available to help, a pleasure to chat with, and gave us fantastic recommendations for authentic Greek restaurants in the area. Veneta and Nikos, the owners, are incredibly kind and welcoming — they do an amazing job running this hotel and make you feel right at home. The rooms are wonderful — beautifully designed, spotless, and full of thoughtful details. And let us tell you… the bed is the BEST we have ever slept in! The mattress and pillows were unbelievably comfortable — we had the best sleeps of our lives. The breakfast options in this hotel are perfect, they have a wide variety of options and every breakfast meal we had was delicious. During the day, Eleni took great care of us around the pool. She was always smiling, friendly, and an absolute delight to talk to. On top of that, she’s an amazing cook! The food at Aqua Blu is exceptional — every meal tasted like it came from a 5-star restaurant. We especially recommend the burger and chicken club sandwich — both were delicious! A special thank you also goes to the cleaners, Maria and Depy, for keeping our room spotless every single day. Me and Sonny absolutely love this hotel and are already planning our next trip back next year. The location in Agkisaras is perfect — just a short walk to several beaches and a quick taxi ride to Hersonissos and the Old Town. We were thrilled with our entire trip and truly believe that the wonderful people at Aqua Blu made our holiday even more special.

If you’re looking for somewhere to relax and feel looked after, this is the place! A short walk away from the beach, bars and shops. Its a super quiet place that feels like a slice of paradise. The staff are so warm and friendly and we’ve never been anywhere so immaculately clean and with such a comfy bed. It’s a real gem! We feel really lucky to have found this place. The breakfast was always wonderful, a really nice moment of every day.

Das Hotel ist ein kleines Paradies in einer ruhigen Umgebung und dies ist auch bereits mein 2. Aufenthalt hier, das Personal immer freundlich, sehr zuvorkommend und gut gelaunt, der schnelle Service, es hat einfach an nichts gefehlt, der respektvolle Umgang unter den Gästen, immer genug freie Pooliegen und leckere Snacks am Nachmittag. Ich habe übrigens noch nie so eine saubere Unterkunft auf Kreta gesehen!

Everywhere was clean- born communal and private areas. We were allowed to use the shower after check out as our flight was late and everything was spotless. The staff couldn’t do enough for you.

I traveled with a female friend and we loved our stay. The staff is extremely accommodating, friendly, happy to share travel tips and small talk. The rooms are spacious, functional and well decorated, all rooms have a small terrace and are cleaned thoroughly daily. The pool area is super well maintained and relax. I can confirm the reviews that say the shower water temperature is spotty, however I hate showering cold and I was never able to not shower; one time I had a lukewarm shower and one time I had to wait for the water to warm (we stayed 8 days). The sea is walking distance away, and if you follow the coast towards Chersonissos you come across some very nice small beaches like Anissaras beach (10min walk) and Saradari beach (30min walk). The location is 10min from Chersonissos with car; the hotel has free parking in front and car rental (if booked in advance) is very affordable in Crete, and a necessity if you want to see some of the beauty the island has to offer. The roads are well maintained. Aqua Blu is the perfect location for couples looking for peace and quiet, who are happy to drive a car to explore Crete and to go dine out (the 2-3 restaurants in the hotel area are not recommended). The staff will be happy to assist in making the most of your stay here!

A point for improvement: the breakfast. Every day you select your breakfast options for the next morning from a buffet style list of foods and drinks. Everything is well prepared and tasty but it gets repetitive after a while since the options are limited and always the same. A breakfast menu would be a better option to serve food of higher quality and flavour while limiting food waste; and would be more appropriate considering the hotel's boutique vibe. I would also expect the orange juice to be freshly squeezed. I took off a point for the breakfast.

First time staying at Aqua Blu and our stay was perfect in every way. Janus and Debbie made us feel very welcome and went out of their way look after us. The rest off the staff we met were equally helpful, freindly , and genuinely good people, thanks Marco , Vienetta and Nicco ,you all are huge assets to the hotel and we feel we have made friends for life. The hotel itself was very modern and super comfortable, with a chill atmosphere any time of the day. Perfect for a relaxing holiday with no noisy bars or hotels nearby. The amenities were excellent, food and service superb and location perfect. There is a small beach 5 mins walk from the hotel. Hersonissos only 10 min taxi (€10) if you want some nightlife which has a great strip. 20 min drive from Heraklion airport and very easy to get to. We had a car which was €160 to rent for the week, nice to have to travel around to the sites, but not nessasary as there are day trips that pick up in Hersonissos. Safe off street parking avaliable at the hotel. There is so much to do in crete, we were there for a week and went to so many awesome sites, but simply didn't have time to cover all. Two weeks or a min of 10 days would have been better. In summary we would highly recommend Aqua blu as an awesome choice for a holiday, not one bad word to say about our experience, thank you Aqua-Blu we will be back for sure!!

The breakfast had fresh fruit, vegetables, all locally grown. One chose the breakfast options and time the evening before. The options are healthy and diverse. They serve the food in a garden setting, and make eggs to your liking. The view from our balcony of the ocean was beautiful. It was easy to walk to the beach and the stores there, as well as the local town. It is a bit off the big tourist towns in Crete, so it is a quiet location to enjoy peace and rest. However, the tours we went on picked us up from near the hotel, and we got on the "train on wheels" (like an open air bus) to get to the nearby towns. The service provided by the staff is outstanding.

Nothing I can think about. One should know that you need to go a few miles to get to the various tourist locations.

Wir waren zum dritten Mal in diesem Hotel. Es ist einfach wunderbar. Ruhig und zum entspannen perfekt. Frühstück wird serviert (kein Buffet). Tagsüber bietet die Bar bis 18 Uhr Salate und Snacks an. Drinks bis ca. Mitternacht. Die Gastfreundschaft ist außergewöhnlich und sehr familiär. Fazit: Zu empfehlen und wir kommen gerne wieder.

The property was beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff were above and beyond nice and made you feel like family. I would highly recommend this place.

One bit of advice I think would be to have a hire car… there are some shops and beaches within walking distance but if you want to go a bit further taxis are quite expensive.

We arrived late at night to a cheerful welcome from Marco, who carried my case to our room and ran through our breakfast options. Had a drink at the very well stocked bar before getting into the extremely comfy bed (2 pillows each, both of different types so you can choose what you want), popped our bottled water in the fridge, put on the very quiet air conditioning and had a great nights sleep. Breakfast is between 8am and 11am, and you pick your food choices and time the night before. We stayed a week & used both of the 2 seating areas. Service was always cheerful, prompt and the food varied & delicious. If you wanted anything extra you just had to ask. The whole place is absolutely spotless, there was a sirocco dust storm whilst we were there and the next morning you would not have known that it had happened, the whole place was gleaming again. I'm not keen on cold water but my husband enjoyed a swim in the pool and it was nice using the sunbeds around the pool to relax and read, with Marco at the bar ensuring we had all the drinks we needed. We hired a motorbike and found especially that east toward Elounda area was nice, there are some countryside roads around there, and some lovely small towns to visit, both inland and on the coast. From the hotel, turn right toward the beach, its a 10 minute walk to several restaurants (We ate at Sunset Bar 3 times and found it excellent, and Mylos further down was ok though the wine was a bit rough) If you want a longer walk, Manos Taverna is about a 45min walk. Its a bit pricier but the food and wine were good. Hersonissos old town is a 1hr walk. We got a taxi back for 15 euro. Big shout out to the staff at the Hotel for making my husbands 60th and our silver wedding anniversary so lovely, the little surprises spanned 2 days and made everything so special and memorable. Marco is a gem with useful information for trips and suggestions, and all the other staff were just lovely.

Overall, this place was of standout higher quality than most places we've stayed, and we've travelled extensively. If I was going to nitpick, then I'd say there should be instructions for the coffee machine (watching my husband fighting with it was amusing) and maybe some Nescafe in the room as well as the coffee pods. The bedside cabinets are attractive, but we missed having a drawer to put our underwear and odds and ends.

Wir waren nach 2024 erneut im Aqua Blu Hotel. Diesesmal hatten wir eine Juniorsuite im EG gebucht. Zimmer makellos, sehr sauber. Das Frühstück kann ausgesucht werden und wird morgens frisch zubereitet. TOP! Die Besitzer und das gesamte Team sind wunderbar. Vielen Dank und wir haben ein neues zu Hause vor Ort gefunden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.
