Location
No instruction on how to check in, finally found out from some random guy that the restaurant across the other side of the road actually owned the place and that’s where you check in, no signs or instructions on the site. I said this to the person checking us in about that I was walking around for 20min trying to work out how to get in, she said “yes it’s quite hard to find when you don’t know”, I would of thought they would put up a sign at the place and on there website explaining this. Nightclub/late bar directly opposite had music playing loudly and loads of people standing outside in the street making loud noise and where the window wasn’t double glazed you could hear everything. Also no blackout curtains so it was very bright in the room as soon as the sun came up. No one said where breakfast was so we decided to find a place to eat in town.
Very close to the beach. Clean comfortable room Amazing bath
We were in the Moulin Rouge room which was directly above the Dog and Sparrow entrance. The murmur of voices didn’t disturb me but my husband wasn’t too happy.
No mention was made in the advertising of the following: free parking was sometimes available but only 300yds away in a ride street - no mention was made of the fact one had to gain access from the charming staff in a pizza cafe - lastly that the wine bar across the street played music till 11pm so loudly that it might as well have been in our room. Good central position.
As above
Location. Bar noisy opposite but you’re close to all bars and it finished at a reasonable time Floor above us very noisy if it’s floorboards need to have a carpet that woke us up about 1.30
Very dusty some things updating Bathroom needs a overhaul
Room was quite small. Bath only, rather than stand alone shower, which is fine but it was SO difficult not to get water all over the bathroom floor. Can't fault the thought that has gone into theming each room etc but there were very minimal "comforts" and room was expensive.
Such a lovely experience. The owner was exceedingly helpful and did everything to make sure our stay was great. Breakfast was amazing, and the location couldn't have been better.
Location is right on the seafront, it smelt good, very easy self access, absolutely stunning bath tub, rather strange window in the bathroom that I just LOVE, decaf coffee as an option in the room as well as hot chocolate. Black out blinds in the room
Unfortunately there is abit of a dip in the mattress and we felt at a slant while lying down, mattress and bedding was really nice and comfortable apart from this. No water supplied in the room but thankfully shops are local and open late so I was able to buy some.
Love the vibe of the hotel, we were I the Victorian room this time which we really liked! Big room, large comfy bed and proper Victorian bathroom! Tea/coffee facilities with biscuits in the room too.
We weren't particularly impressed with the welcome when we arrived, when we stayed before we were met by the owners who were lovely&friendly but this time we met a man in thr bar under the hotel who sent us round the corner we to ring bell, we couldn't find a bell then he sw us again&said we needed to go across the road to a cafe to check in and the young boy there was serving someone, it was about 2.10/2.15pm&we were in a little rush, I know our fault but he then couldn't find our key, had to call his boss then went off to the hotel to find it but came back&gave us a key already hanging in the cafe. It won't stop us staying there but I think it should be thought about for future check ins.
It was a fantastic location. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was grand and very comfortable. Neal was helpful when we asked how to access the lockbox for the key. The Yonder bar opposite the accommodation was great place for a drink.
It doesn't look like photo anymore as the bottom part of the building is a bar/pub now. We were in the Victorian room and we could hear the music from the bar below, which wasn't great. That said we had a pleasant stay.
Lovely deep bath. First bath i've had in ages. ( i do shower )
Could have gad a stool or chair in the room.
Great location, literally on top of everything. Our room was quirky, bed comfy, lovely linen and towels and lots of thoughtful little extras. Enjoyed the nice bathroom with roll top bath.
Room quite small and lighting a little bit dim. Lacks a ladies dressing table area as it is difficult to use hairdryer and straighteners near to the 2 mirrors as the area where the sockets are is very cramped with no table top to rest anything. Quite noisy until late when there's live music in nearby pub.
Close to everything needed. Helpful staff, good service at Twist too for looking after luggage and good food.
Number of stairs, No shower curtain or bath mat.
Location was good right near the beach.
No communication on arrival, No parking despite Booking.com advertising with parking. No facilities on site i.e reception or a restaurant.. No carpet in room,
Service and thy are very helpful ... thank u guys

Location is superb, very friendly people.
Room is a little run down, very creaky bed (very comfy though)
Great location right near to the beach
Bit noisy, on a busy road lots of delivery Lorrie’s early in morning
Clean and close to town and station,
Great location for Broadstairs. Quirky and unusual. Nice room
Not much 😊
50 yards from the seafront
We had a very good experience overall and were very happy with our stay. The location of the place is absolutely great and incredibly easy to access. Inside, everything was very nice, comfortable, and perfectly clean. The Wi-Fi worked really well, and there were plenty of amenities provided that made the stay highly enjoyable.
On the downside, we stayed in the Victorian room, and while we understood the aesthetic, sometimes the balance between decoration and daily practicality didn't quite match up. For instance, the shower didn't have any curtains, which made it quite hard to prevent the water from splashing everywhere. Despite these minor design issues, it is a wonderful place and we really enjoyed our time here.
Great location and quirky.
Loud TVs from other rooms. Excessively loud.
Location is very good, close to the beach and the Loop bus stop and high street but also on a relatively peaceful street. The pub opposite is noisy but closes at 22-23. The room was as described, with lovely quirkyness, and the ala carte warm breakfast served in the restaurant on the other side of the road was very nice.
The shower without a shower curtain was a bit unpractical, several towels were needed to dry the floor afterwards. Fresh towels were provided every day so that was not a big issue. Check-in was instructed to be conducted in the restaurant opposite of the street but it was closed. The check-in instruction provided, though, a contact phone number, and I got very quickly new, easy to follow instructions to get my key from a lock box at the entrance. So, again no big issue, just some minutes of confusion.
Noisy when you use cold water in the mixer tap shower and also noise outside until early hours.
Have been to Broadstairs before so chose Ebenezers on account of location. So very central for shops, beach and eateries. Fresh biscuits daily and our beds made. Edwardian loo a talking point.
Bath was a bit awkward. When showering no surround or curtain so worried about water splashes
Location was excellent breakfast was excellent
The room was clean but we found although it was themed all the objects were thick with dust wood under bath so dusty but it didn't put us off had a lovely 2 days
We had a wonderful stay at this charming and characterful B&B staying in the quirky 'Victorian'' room. The room was clean and comfortable (the bed and pillows were lovely) and the location was fantastic, just a short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. Neal and his staff at Twists were so friendly – and check-in/out was smooth and easy. All in all a delightful stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Broadstairs and we look forward to coming back!
Lovely room with lots of character. Even better than it looked in the photos.
Great location 👌 Great interior
Room hot despite fan and noisy til late
Location perfect and detail in Room nice
Very noisy needs double glazing and pub downstairs attached to it very noisy even late at night. Net curtains need clean and decorative curtains full of dust and need thorough clean. Otherwise nice but wouldn't return due to noise issue
Excellent cental location, immaculate accommodation in both cleanliness and comfort, helpful and friendly hosts, lovely food
Nothing I didn't like but a slightly brighter bedside light would have been good for those like me who like to read in bed.
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Ebenezer's Place. It is in a perfect location a short walk from the beautiful beach and close to pubs bars and restaurants. Breakfast wasn't included but it's not really a problem as there is a restaurant a few steps away where we had a lovely brunch. Our room was comfortable and full of character. Downstairs is a lovely chilled bar with a great selection of German and Belgian beers and good wine. Parking is very close by which was a bonus. We would definitely stay again.

Location, comfortable bed, litre tap water in room.
Can't complain about anything
Location. Comfy bed
No shower
Great hosts and room was very clean. Would definitely return again.👏👏
Needs to have shelf in bathroom to put personal toiletries on. Need to have drawers/shelfs for clothing
Lack of space to put clothing so living out of case
Clean, whimsical, friendly staff and straight forward process, no more facilities than expected but of those that were provided the facilities were very good
Breakfast
Property was back dated, with Tv in a cupboard. No room to walk around the room. Furniture very old and dirty looking. Next to a bar which had live music until mid. Couldn’t sleep, bed uncomfortable. Staff not motivated and not particularly friendly. Regretting to have stayed there.
Clean and very close to everything
Location is fabulous.
There is no parking. Despite it saying it does! You can only park on street.
Lovely room, although the loo and the washbasin leaked during the night
Breakfast started way too late
The decor and the bath was great
I could hear the other rooms when people walked around as floor was so creaky
I loved the decor of the premises and especially the Victoria room we stayed in complete with toll top bath! It was such a welcome 🙏 thank you
I loved it all
Beautiful room. So much effort made to the details. Location superb...
Nothing.
Location great. Staff friendly. Pizza restaraunt over road linked to premises is an option to eat and have breakfast.
Cupboard door needs repair. Taps need repair. Probably needs a refresh. Pillow not great. But as a place for night stay it was ok. Bar down stairs wasn't open as looking at renewing a licence.
Perfect location, clean room and comfortable
Not so keen to collect key from another premises, although the young lad was extremely polite and friendly.
Perfect location ,check in very easy amd nice to be able to check in at 2pm
Nowhere to hang anything, not a single hook . Don’t mind not having hanging space but had to put coats, etc over the free standing mirror !
Wonderful place to stay. Lovely linen and soft pillows plus beautiful furnishing and bath! Good quality tea and coffee too! All in all loved staying here!
Nothing
Breakfast at twists was exceptional just opposite ebenezers place. Great shops and restaurants very close to the beach 2 minutes away. We really loved our stay would go back.
Location.
Uncomfortable bed, nowhere to put clothes not even a hook. Enamel peeling off bath. Toilet seat loose, cistern dripping. Thought had bar downstairs. Misleading photos showing seating outside.
Location Location
No parking and no shower.
Quirky, novel interior design. Loved the wallpaper in the hallway and the themed rooms. Very close to the beach and the amenities.
Such a lovely little find right on top of the beach, pubs and restaurants. Check in was nice and easy and the lovely rian tock us too our room. Such a lovely roll top bath my main reason for booking here as most places dont have them.
Room was quite dusty tv cabient especially. Bathroom mirror and wall could have done with a little attention.
Chambre ok Emplacement bien situé
Tres bruyant
It's so quirky.
The location is very nice
No such staff around. After 4 pm it’s difficult to contact anyone. The cleaning staff ask us to leave half an hour early as we were leaving for breakfast and come back but he was in rush to do his housekeeping work. Be careful with furniture as it’s just damage furniture.
Amazing old worldly cottage style hotel
Unfortunately I had someone who was above me dancing most of the night and was very loud , not the properties fault , just a thoughtless guest
The interior is not only clean and comfortable but designed in such a beautiful way
Nothing
We loved the location and the quirkiness of the property. Staff were polite and helpful
Location in the middle of Broadstairs. Quirky room with old fashioned furnishings as a nice feature. Not a large room, on the first floor. Overlooks a fairly busy street with bars nearby so perhaps not for you if you retire to bed early, as revellers nearby till late evening
It was fine for us as we were attending an event within walking distance.
Very central. Clean and comfortable.
Loud Saturday night music from the pub opposite, but we could live with that!
Charming! Great location and super welcoming
Loved it all
Location
Tired
staff were amazing ! breakfast was fantastic
Good location and very close to the beach. Building looks like it needs some freshening up, but the room was amazing.
Lovely quirky quaint place right by the beach . Really comfortable in our charming original room . Would definitely come back
Parking is a nightmare
Location good, breakfast was nice albeit not in the same building
Floor under bath sunk and not keen on the rusty sink unit. Water dripping in through roof on stairwell.
The Staff were very nice, comfortable, clean, quirky accomodation
Would have been nice to have had a bar in hotel but loads of lovely restaurants & bars so wasn't much of a problem
The accommodation was good enough for one night. The location was great for the beach and restaurants/bars.
There was no bar/cafe open downstairs as shown on Booking.com. The TV in the room did not work. There were no ironing facilities as advertise. There was no fresh drinking water left, there was a bottle for it but this had no been filled.
Really lovely place, with plenty of character. I felt able to properly relax there

We have stayed before and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Everything is on the doorstep. Plenty of pubs, sea front, walks, and friendly.
Because you're opposite a pub, can be loud late at night. However the staff in the pub do move the crowds away once shut.
I will definitely go back. The location is just excellent, one minute from the beach and in the midst of everything. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and gorgeous. Food was gorgeous too.
Nothing
Fantastic location, very quirky and unique nevertheless cosy rooms, super nice staff and delicious breakfast.
If you are looking for an early night, you might struggle. There is a lively pub just over the road. Best to just join in, it’s a nice place and they close at 11.
Location was good. But very dirty… like the toilet had 💩 on it.
Very dusty, 💩 on the toilet…
You could not get a better location. I could see the sea from my room while enjoying my morning coffee.
Would of liked a shower but I knew this when booking. Also I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable the bath was.
Loved its quirky decoration. Neil and his staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble
Liked everything
i loved the person who had guided us to our hotel, Ryan i believe his name was, was easy to converse with and extremely friendly, the room itself was very comfy and cosy but the hospitality was top tier
Really quirky room lookx old but new at same time bed was real comfortable pub and restaurant literally next door
The pillows were like air puffs but not really a complaint
I really enjoyed my stay at Ebenezer's in the Victorian room. The decor was delightful and comfortable. A good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, including decaf. The TV was inside an antique wall cupboard, a neat idea. A sea view from the bay window was an added bonus. A nice, bright and clean room in a great location. Professional and friendly hosts. I highly recommend.
My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.
Just returnefrom a delightful stay at Ebenezer's Place. The room was beautifully decorated , spacious, light and airy.
The host was very friendly and helpful, The room was very cosy and close to the town and beach,
The pillows on the bed was so uncomfortable,
Love the location - it is literally minutes away from Viking Bay, shops, and restaurants/cafes. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, and I could see the sea from the room I was in. Love the roll top bath and Victorian decor! Roughly 10 minute walk from Broadstairs railway station and bus stops depending on pace. Good selection of tea, coffee, and biscuits provided, and the food in the cafe-restaurant opposite (Twists, also run by the hosts) is fabulous. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming; they checked in to see if I needed anything but were not overbearing.
Due to the age of the property (and therefore limited space) in the bathroom, there is nowhere to hang wet towels properly unfortunately, but I adapted and made do. As a polite suggestion, a short stool between the toilet and the far wall would be ideal; just somewhere to place clothes/dry towels and maybe a hook or two if possible. Not a deal breaker for me and nor is it the fault of Ebenezers, but as others have stated on their reviews, the bar opposite gets loud, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays. This is to be expected of a town centre at the weekend. Also, as the building is old, there is no soundproofing between the floors. This was no issue for me as I had respectful 'neighbours' at the time and always travel with ear plugs, but if you sleep light, bring ear plugs.
Staff very hospitable and contactable. Seems a loved family business. Decor had great attention to detail and location was perfect.
Bed wasn't very comfortable unfortunately. Bit noisy outside, but actually the noise from upstairs was worse. When they ran a bath and just walked around it was really creaky and noisy. Expected a boutique hotel, but was more basic than expected. Small spaces and a bit pokey. Also, there was a bar downstairs in the pictures which wasn't open.
Nice room, good choice of teas, biscuits too. Good heating and hot water
No wardrobe or hooks for clothes, parking was a distance away
Great location,lovely clean room.
Checking in process
Interesting and quirky right in the centre of town. Nice restaurants and pubs all in walking distance. We liked the Victorian room. Nice and warm with plenty of hot water on a cold February weekend.
